Exceptional Property Manager - A Rare Find…read more After going through three previous property managers, I was incredibly fortunate to find Alexandra. Within just the first one to two months of taking over my rental property, she accomplished what my prior property manager had failed to deliver over the previous 2.5 years. One of the first things she tackled was coordinating and project managing major property improvements. She found qualified contractors to completely redo my front concrete driveway and resolve a long-standing issue with an unfinished backyard patio deck. We later discovered the deck had been partially built incorrectly and did not conform to the original architectural plans. Alexandra managed the entire process from contractor selection and oversight to final inspections and sign-off. She also successfully addressed tenant compliance issues that previous property managers had been unable or unwilling to resolve. What truly sets Alexandra apart is her network of trusted, highly skilled, and reasonably priced contractors. Every contractor she recommended had a proven track record, and the quality of work consistently exceeded my expectations. Alexandra treats your property as if it were her own. She genuinely looks out for your best interests, advocates for property owners, and approaches every challenge with professionalism and creativity. She is highly communicative, proactive, prompt, and always thinks outside the box. Instead of having to constantly chase updates, I received regular status reports and progress updates, sometimes daily, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. She also has a unique ability to treat tenants with respect while still holding them accountable. Even with less cooperative tenants, she was able to achieve compliance professionally and effectively. When it came time to sell my property, Alexandra once again proved invaluable. She strategically connected me with a trusted local real estate agent who had extensive knowledge of the area and guided me through the process. The property went under contract within two weeks and has now successfully closed. Beyond property management, Alexandra is exceptionally knowledgeable in construction, contracting, real estate transactions, and local regulations. Her broad expertise makes her an incredibly resourceful asset and someone you can truly rely on. Since Alexandra took over my property, I was able to be virtually stress-free, knowing my investment was in capable hands. Trustworthy and effective property managers are incredibly hard to find, and Alexandra is genuinely a rare find. She is worth every penny, and I recommend her without hesitation. Thank you, Alexandra, for your dedication, expertise, and outstanding service.

After a FaceTime viewing, we decided to move forward in the process. Once we applied, Alexandra came back with reasonable questions and, ultimately, an offer to rent. She was a thoughtful and helpful negotiator during the lease review, accommodating our requests for changes, and met us the day after we landed to handle the move-in inspection. Since then, our maintenance requests have been met with a prompt, polite response and the right vendor sent quickly. We appreciate having a property manager who is thorough, understanding, and respectful of our privacy while looking out for both us and the property. We're looking forward to our year under her management

Which, it is in 1 month, 1 week and I have not heard a single word from the company in regards to renewing or terminating. So, that's comforting. In the past 2 years this building has had more planned and emergency water shutoffs than I can count or be convinced is acceptable. I get that it's an old building but just use the exorbitant rent you're charging me and fix it already. It's not that hard. After one of the "fixes," they left a blue-tarp pile of trash and pipes on the front lawn for well over 6 months before finally taking it away one day. What a historical beauty to look at every day. Updated old entry system with great security features (could see who was at the door and remotely open, consistent app entry) to a terrible new one (have to pay to subscribe to an app to have any features of the old one, had ALL calls from every resident for the first few months). No assistance from building manager when requested help. We've gone through so many property managers, and I have never received a response from a single one on an issue, question, or repair I've had or needed. My dishwasher is broken, hot water does not get hot, and new entry system doesn't work. But that's totally fine, I don't need answers or assistance from the building I PAY $5.56/SQ FT FOR. SUMMARY - shitty building, no assistance from property manager or AI assistant, overpriced "historical" slop. Extra star for location to downtown Alameda.

I was told the landlord was evaluating multiple applicants and to wait for the final result. I was eventually not selected. But instead of refunding me for my application fee, Liz simply told me that my materials were good for up to a month if there's another listing that I'd like to apply to. This was a violation of California law AB-2493, which states that the landlord must refund your application fee if you're not selected. After voicing this compliant, Jackie responded to me immediately and offered to help me get a refund on my application fee. I'm glad to know that there is indeed a process for rental applicants to get back their application fees if they're not selected. However, this overall experience has still left a nasty taste in my mouth. Honestly, this was the most difficult rental company I've had to deal with during my recent apartment search. I suggest Rentals in SF leasing agents provide applicants with clear guidance on the application fee refund process, if applicable. In general, the leasing agents can also do a better job of handling the overall application process because they left me waiting to hear back from the landlord and failed to provide insight into the decision process. This just gave me false hope that I was still getting considered.
