After doing a substantial amount of research in the HVAC world, Ascot is certainly the best. They are professional and do not try to sell you the moon and the stars. We have used them for our air conditioning unit, to clean our furnace, and to replace our furnace. Each time, the office assistants have been helpful, punctual, and professional on the phone, and the response time to arrange a service has been phenomenally fast. Each person who has arrived from this company to do work on our HVAC has been likewise professional, punctual, and kind. I would highly recommend this company. read more

Cottage refuses to make any corrections even though the Bryant Factory Service Representative who came to our house and tested the system and the Bryant Engineer have confirmed it is a faulty design and installation. The system can not be adjusted to work properly and requires replacement of equipment which is not suited for the application. I have the test results and comments from the factory service tech and engineer confirming the above. I had confidence that Cottage being a Local 73 Union shop would own up to an error and take responsibility. I spoke with the owner of Cottage Sheet Metal, forwarded the testing and comments from the Bryant people at TEC. NO RESPONSE.

Van Drunen dispatched a representative to inspect the work, but he denied the existence of the problem. After trial and error, we were able to localize the leak to where the vent connects to the unit. I went on the roof and sealed it myself. Meanwhile, the unit ran out of freon just after the warranty expired and causing all my tenant's food to spoil. The service representative was almost tauntingly rude to me when explaining the issue. I contacted a semi-retired HVAC man from Lansing who advised that someone drilled a hole in the unit to leak the freon. Use this company at your own risk. There are so many much more dependable and professional companies in the NW Indiana/South Chicago area.
