Awful experience. Came into for my 4Runner's 30,000 mile oil change - an appointment I scheduled over the phone a week ago. I show up at 8:15 am right on time, they don't have my appointment. They create one and tell me it's going to cost me money. I said no, when I bought my car from Right Toyota in September of 2024, I was given - in writing - 30,000 miles of service care, free. The guy says no, they don't honor that unless it's in writing and unless I have proof it's going to cost me. I say, everything is digital you can look it up. He tells me no, that's not his job. I will have to go in, flag someone down, find my documents I signed 17 months ago, print them out and bring them back over as "proof" that I don't have to pay. I have never been given the run around and list of excuses like this before. Every Toyota I have bought, all 3 of them from this dealer, I have asked for 30K miles of service and never once since 2014 have I had to run in to the dealer to flag someone down to "prove it". The service provider David said he'd do me the favor of putting my car in line for service but wouldn't service it until I had some documentation. I found someone who seemed as annoyed with service department as I was who came over and signed the paper saying I did have that coverage. While waiting to find someone to talk to about the services, I asked to speak with someone about buying out my lease. I was told wait in the front and someone would be with me. I waited 15 minutes, standing in the front and no one came down to help with my questions. I walked away and went to sit in the lounge and no one followed up with me. After waiting 3 hours for a routine oil change on a Tuesday morning, I had to call for a car update because I never received a text that my car was actually checked in nor a phone call with an update. When I called my service manager for an update, I got 25 rings and an automated message saying I could allow him to text me an update. Turns out the car was done, but I never got a call. This is the second time this has happened. Now that my car has gotten its 30k miles of service I look forward to NEVER coming back to this location. When it comes time to buy out or trade in my lease, I will do whatever it takes to never use Right Toyota again. I am SO disappointed with the dealership I have done all of my deals with as an adult who has bought all her cars from in the last 12 years! read more

I used their "smartpath" tool online which is supposed to be an easy, clear way of buying online, all fees are noted to be included, all that only to find out they add an additional $3,000 in random charges once you try to purchase. So the Smartpath price includes tax, title, license, doc fees, and this place adds arbitrary random other fees at the very end that they force on you despite the online system quote stating that the first price is all inclusive. They told me it was a "mistake" on the website.... but listen to this, they said that same excuse TWICE about two different vehicles, 3 months apart, so this is just another one of their weasel tactics. I've heard good things about this dealership, unfortunately my experience was not that same. I have bought or helped buy over 100 cars in my life, I'm very familiar with the process so this doesn't come from inexperience. I was looking at a truck and when we were talking to the sales manager he was condescending and rude, would constantly interrupt and man-splain to me basic, basic concepts. All while bragging about how many cars they sell a month. They basically just kept inferring we didn't matter to them, there would always be another person. The pricing online is also deceptive as well. Lastly, their communication was just horrenedous. Just overall a very bad experience. edit: adding in here that the salesman i worked worth, when asked if he could share what they ballpark value my trade in, he responded "im busy, can't". I'm not sure there is a respectful person at the whole dealership. edit 2: i emailed Jason and have not gotten a response from him. Another sales manager reached out though, at first was a much better experience, and then he low balled my trade in by a lot, then I have been ignored with my follow up with them trying to find the right place on a deal. Keep trying to give them a chance and at every step communication is horrible and just very, very bad experience. This was a very frustrating service experience. I scheduled an appointment almost a week in advance for a recall repair and was told the parts were in stock and that it would be completed the same day. Based on that, I planned my day around dropping the vehicle off early. After dropping the vehicle off, I later found out the part was NOT actually available and there was no clear timeline for when it would be. I ended up having to take the vehicle back. To their credit, they did call later and said the part could arrive within the next few days and asked me to bring it back, but the initial lack of preparation completely defeated the purpose of scheduling ahead and wasted my time. On top of that, I was given a ~$9,500 list of recommended services. I understand my vehicle has ~156k miles and will need maintenance, that's not the issue. The issue is that several of the items listed were things I had just recently replaced: - Drive belt replaced ~9 months ago (~4,000 miles) - Battery replaced ~6 months ago (~2,000 miles) - Cabin air filter replaced within the last 30 days Despite this, all three were recommended for replacement. When I questioned these, the advisor partially walked them back, which made the inspection feel inconsistent and hard to trust. The battery test was also confusing. The report showed 12.73V and 613 CCA out of 710, yet it was labeled as a "fail," even though the vehicle starts perfectly every time. It even said "cranking result: fail". At that point, it became difficult to tell what was actually necessary versus what was being recommended. Overall, the combination of unconfirmed parts, poor communication, and inconsistent inspection results made this a disappointing experience. I would recommend confirming that recall parts are physically in stock and reserved before bringing your vehicle in, and getting a second opinion on any major service recommendations. It's now been nearly a month since this visit. I was told someone would follow up regarding my concerns, but I have not been contacted. He was a pleasure to work with and understands good customer service, which includes validating concerns and accepting where the pitfalls occurred. Right Toyota is very lucky to have this man on staff and should give him a raise since he definitely understands people and is a great asset. They did take my car in to try and remove the damage on the odometer and temperature gauge, but there is still some lingering issues that I don't think can be fixed. It would be nice if they had just replaced the plastic - and they told me they would if I was still not happy with the clean up they did - but I just don't have the energy for another long drive to Scottsdale. I wish they would've just done it when they had the car instead of the back and forth and continued time suck. Clarify Exactly How Trade-Ins Are Applied I want to share my experience so other buyers can be extra careful during the negotiation process. From the very beginning of the negotiations, the dealership knew I would be trading in a vehicle. Throughout the process, I was consistently quoted a single out-the-door price. At no point during the negotiations was I verbally told the selling price of the vehicle before my trade-in was applied. Because my trade-in had been discussed from the beginning, I assumed the quoted out-the-door price already reflected the value of my trade-in. After the purchase, I realized it did not. I take responsibility for not asking more detailed questions. Looking back, I should have asked for a complete pricing breakdown before moving forward. At the same time, I believe the pricing process could be made clearer for customers trading in a vehicle. My advice is simple: Before signing anything, ask for the selling price of the vehicle, the trade-in allowance, taxes, fees, and the final out-the-door amount after the trade-in is applied. Don't rely on a single out-the-door number alone. I also want to say that the salesperson I worked with was friendly and professional throughout the process. This was an out of state purchase so it involved a lot of anxiety since I couldn't see, smell or drive the car myself. Tiffany was so helpful with photos, videos and FaceTime and she pointed out a dent and scratches that she saw, and explained that her team could fix the dent and try to work on the door scratch. When she sent photos/videos and I wasn't sure if there were blemishes, she took the time to go back to the car and show reflections from the sun and the light pole, even in the 108 degree temps. I had a million and one questions about the car and the process of making an out of state vehicle purchase, and she never made me feel like I was asking too much and she always answered so quickly. Tiffany is incredibly on top of it! There was a price that I needed to be at out the door and they met that number, which made the whole process easy, without the typical back and forth. That was very appreciated and I was hooked immediately as I don't like the bartering part of car buying. Once I got there to finally see and drive the car, everything was exactly as Tiffany described and they were able to clean up the rims, get the dent out, fix a recall and help lessen the scratch. I made an appointment online and showed up to Toyota. I took my car in to change a part. I was assisted shortly. I asked about shuttle service and was told the schedule and where I could wait for one. It was very crowded in the waiting area. They have complimentary tea, coffee and a vending machine full of snacks. I decided to sit in the quiet room which eventually was packed by the time I left. I decided to try the shuttle service, packed up my goods and went outside to wait. There is a 10 mile radius of where they will take you. Staff asked me where I would like to go. I was the first stop so sat in front with the driver. The driver gives you his phone number and when you're ready, you give them a call. Staff dropped me off at my location. I called when I was finished and he picked me up. Easy. While I was gone, I got a text and call that my car was finished. I checked out with the Toyota service person. They brought my car around and I was gone. Before I drove completely out of the garage, I noticed that the time on the clock was not correct. I could not remember how to change the time so I drove back in to get some help. It sounds easy, but really was not. I hear complaints about car buying experiences from my entire circle, but these guys really take the cake. They sold me a damaged vehicle, representing it as new when it had been driven 900 miles in extreme off-road conditions as part of Barrett Jackson. As part of that, the vehicle was returned to the dealer with a door gasket that had been ripped off and clumsily repaired, a broken seat lever, damaged wheels and at a minimum, an extraordinary amount of dirt and debris under the chassis. This is how the car was delivered to me. In addition, the finance manager, despite being told that my wife and I had arranged financing, ran my credit under Toyota financing, which was NEVER going to be an option. And now, months after my purchase, I am receiving communications from my bank that the title was not properly processed with lienholder information, putting my financing at risk. I have not had an experience with ANY vendor that can equal this level of dishonesty and incompetence. Would never recommend this dealership to anyone, and 100% regret purchasing from them. I brought my 2026 Toyota COROLLA in a week ago, at 7 A.M, , for key issues and power windows not operating. I waited 3.5 hours and literally watched my car sit in the service parking lot till 10 A.M. they said I had four bad fuses and it was as because I had an after market stereo system in the car . The service department manager on site said after market upgrade causes electrical issues. Suggested I take my car back to my installation location before bringing it to them, I did. Buying from Right Toyota was a mistake and I should have left THE FIRST TIME they tried to screw me over. Handshakes and promises mean nothing there. Disgusting immoral people here, not only screwed me but then left me thinking for weeks they were going to make right what they did wrong, made promises and now won't return the call they said they were going to make multiple times. I bought a camry on june 2nd. My salesman, let's call him Zahmahd, told me that they would give me a ride home (I was in a rental) and that they would throw in a window tint up until the moment I signed the papers and then all of that went out the window, along with the deal that I shook the sales managers hand on. I ended up having to drive home, then pay for a taxi back the next day to pick up my rental (paying for an extra day of a rental on top of that) drop off my rental and then pay for another taxi home. Then I had to drive back again to get the window tint, not on a day convenient for me but on a day convenient for them. I ended up just driving back on a day convenient for me, and they did do the tint that day. Also, I had a deal from another Toyota dealer, that the sales manager shook my hand and said, "we will beat that deal." Well, once I get back to the finance guy, lets call him Patthew Petz, everything changed and I should have walked away then and there. He tried changing the terms of the loan to an 84 month loan instead of the agreed upon 72 months. Now, Patthew claims that "it was an accident" but then he also claimed that "we had discussed other options." Which one is it Patthew? Those are two conflicting reasons for the change in terms. Mind you, 84 months was never spoken by either of us. The deal was 72 months and then as I'm looking at the paperwork before I sign, I see "84 months" sitting there. I almost walked out, and I should have because it was a sign of things to come. I had him correct that, and saved myself over $8,000 there. Then, I see he had increased the APR % so I had him change that back and saved myself some money. I should have walked out then. Somehow, I missed that he had added $4,000 to the total cost of the car. I had been there 6 hours, I was tired and Patthew Petz did what he set out to do and screwed me out of my hard earned money. I PAID $2,000 OVER WHAT THE SUGGESTED PRICE ON THE STICKER WAS, and $4,000 over the agreed upon price. When I went in to get my tint done, everyone was very nice and more promises were made to make things right, however 2 weeks later, many promises to call and make things right later and nothing has been made right. Instead of being happy with my new car, it hurts and stresses me out every time I see it, knowing I, FOR SOME REASON, PAID $2,000 OVER WHAT THE STICKER PRICE ON THE CAR WAS, and $4,000 over the deal I shook hands on. Watch yourself here, especially if you're dealing with PATTHEW PETZ in finance, that guy is a scumbag and a snake. I've been promised multiple times by sales managers and customer relations that they are going to make this right, however, I just keep being left on red. I've been told I was going to be called back 6 times and only received 1 and it was to tell me they would call me back AGAIN, which they didn't. "Dick" the sales manager called and said "im so sorry you're going through this, we will make this right. I'll call you back tomorrow" never called back and then ignored my attempts to reach him. read more
