Salesmen AFTER , giving OTD price texted back added on just $12,000 when he thought we had a meeting of the minds. We did not. - When I asked how the price jumped. $12,000 he said "oops I hit a wrong key, let me fix that" he then said they charged $1,899 for things the dealership added and couldn't be removed in order to get the car ready for sale. Well, that's not my concern- that's dealer prep. I don't pay for that- that the cost of doing business for them. I was shopping online and he told me the prices online on their website is not the TRUE selling price but a guesstimate. Because they were making no money on financing or add ons he said the price changed online. I went online figuring to pay for a car , taxes, license, doc fee ( questionable) but in the end - after fixing his mistake from above still had tacked on $6,000 to the online price . I had an extremely disappointing experience with Right Honda in Scottsdale and feel other buyers should know what happened. I contacted Matt Finn online about a CPO 2024 Honda HR-V Sport. We were approximately $955 apart, and I believed we were close to reaching an agreement. Instead of continuing to negotiate professionally, Matt told me I was using AI and sent me a link to vehicles under $20,000, essentially saying, "Here is your budget, find something there." I requested a different salesperson or manager. After several hours without a response, I called and spoke with Chance, a manager. We ultimately reached an agreement by phone, and I was told a wet signature was needed to move forward. Because we live in Tucson, approximately 2 1/2 hours from Scottsdale, I explained that we would make the drive the following day. The next morning, Tyler Fechner contacted me and asked what time we would arrive so the vehicle could be cooled and ready. I gave him our arrival time and kept him updated throughout our drive. We drove 2 1/2 hours from Tucson to Scottsdale specifically for this transaction. When we arrived and asked for Tyler, he appeared to have no idea why we were there, despite having been texting with me that entire morning. After about 15 minutes, I asked him to get Chance. Chance then told us the vehicle had been sold the night before. I asked why Tyler had been communicating with me that morning about our arrival and preparing the vehicle if it had already been sold. We had just driven five hours round trip based on the dealership's communication with us. Chance told us they had other vehicles and that we could make a deal on something else. He offered us gas money. The issue was never the gas money. The issue was our time, the five-hour round trip, and the way the situation was handled. Approximately five minutes after leaving the dealership, I received a call from Heather, offering to get us into a brand-new Honda at a discount. Given the timing and circumstances, the situation left us feeling like a bait-and-switch type of experience. I also questioned why the original vehicle was still listed online. Heather told me it had not been updated. I subsequently called the dealership and asked whether the vehicle was available, and I was told yes. I have the dealership's written worksheet for the specific vehicle, including the VIN, stock number, pricing and $27,330.05 due on delivery. I understand that vehicles sell. That's not my complaint. My complaint is that we were actively communicating with the dealership the morning we drove 2 1/2 hours, were asked when we would arrive so the vehicle could be prepared, made the five-hour round trip, and only after arriving were we told the vehicle had supposedly been sold the previous night. For me, this came down to honesty, communication, respect and consideration for a customer's time. If you are considering purchasing from Right Honda, particularly if you're traveling from out of town, get everything in writing and independently confirm the specific vehicle is physically available before making the drive. I bought a 2017 CRV Touring at Right Honda late 2016. I've had some oil changes and routine maintenance done at Right Honda over the past almost 10 years. Today, 8/18/26 I went in for my first issue. They said I had to pay a $200 diagnostic fee just to find out what the issue was. If I decided not to fix it, I was stuck with the bill. If I fixed it, the $200 would apply to my bill. They had my VIN# but said I'd never been in, but I've been there multiple times. They couldn't tell me if my issue would be covered under warranty or not. I left and used U-tube. I fixed my problem for free in less than 5 mins!!! Right Honda is the worst. The car is great, but go to another Honda dealer to get one. PS, had to wait for 20 mins in a long line of cars before getting my news above - it was 102* in Phoenix while I waited. I then had to return the vehicle because they failed to properly secure final loan approval before letting me leave the lot. As a customer, this feels extremely unprofessional and disorganized. Loan approval should be finalized before a vehicle is released. It caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience having to unwind the entire deal after believing everything was complete. During a basic oil change, they stripped my oil pan bolt and then had the nerve to tell me I needed to buy an entirely new oil pan to fix a problem they caused. I made my appointment, it was fairly easy. I drove in, it seemed chaotic, I waited for about 10 minutes for someone to help me. The gentleman was nice, he showed me to the waiting room. I was waiting for about 1 hour when Tom can in and told me I needed to have my differential fluid changed, since I am not up on when it should be changed, I said to go ahead. I guess I need to tell you I have a 2026 Honda Pilot with less than 9000 miles on it. When I got home I check to see when you change the differential fluid, it is 30,000 to 50,000 miles. Then I got to thinking, the first oil change was included in the sale/warranty so they were not going to make anything from my visit, so they cheated me out of $125. I've purchased and leased eight vehicles for my family from Right Honda in Scottsdale in recent years, always working with Matt D. Until recently, I had nothing but positive experiences. Unfortunately, since the recent change in management, the dealership has taken a sharp turn for the worse. It now feels like a throwback to the shady dealerships of the '80s--high-pressure sales tactics, inflated offers, and a lack of basic respect for the customer. I experienced firsthand a sales GM speaking down to me and flat-out telling me I didn't know what I was talking about. Even worse, they failed to honor the terms we agreed on and changed numbers mid-deal as if customers wouldn't notice. Inventory on the lot appears full, and now I understand why--many vehicles suddenly have 25% markups, which they're blaming on the new tariffs. But those tariffs wouldn't even affect the cars already on the lot, making it feel like a convenient excuse to overcharge customers. Pricing transparency is nonexistent; many cars don't even have visible stickers unless you specifically ask. What was once a dealership that respected returning customers has become focused solely on squeezing every dollar out of every deal. Even small touches that used to make the experience better are gone. In the past, you were offered water multiple times during your visit. Now, if you ask, you're directed to a water fountain with plastic cups. When I joked about the change, I was told the new GM cut bottled water because "it costs too much." I understand dealerships are in business to make money, but if you get me to drive in based on a deal, only triple the numbers once I arrive--you've lost my business for good. I was told they "don't have a way to communicate with each other once a car is sold." I'm sorry, you're telling me a car dealership doesn't communicate.. about cars.. being sold? They did apologize, but it felt very surface level given that the whole reason I came in no longer existed. I was then shown a different car to test drive, but there was little to no effort to actually walk me through it or answer questions, which made the experience feel pretty dismissive. I was offered water when I walked in, which I never actually received. Honestly, that missing water sums up the whole experience: promised, but never delivered. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I WAS SOLD A MALFUNCTIONING VEHICLE THAT THEY ARE UNABLE TO FIX AND REFUSE TO BUYBACK. If it happened to me, it can happen to you. I purchased a Honda accord from here in March, it started malfunctioning about a week after I bought it. First the battery died a week after I brought it home, then the radio, gps and electrical system in the car began malfunctioning. I took it back to them and they noted that they were aware of the electrical issues affecting my vehicle but had no way to fix it. So why was the car sold to me? Good question. I am now responsible for paying off a $20k car despite the fact that I have no use of audio, gps, Bluetooth connection, radio etc. The radio turns on and off on its own and makes a loud, chaotic beeping sound non stop while I'm driving, which is a hazard. The brake system also seems off. The dealership has been absolutely no help and they are ok with the fact that they sold me a malfunctioning car. If you are hard working like me and can't afford to be taken advantage of or sold a car that is not fully functional, please look elsewhere for a dealership with more integrity. I am beyond devastated that i trusted this place and the car I previously had from Hyundai worked better and regret ever giving it up. I feel hopeless because I am stuck paying for a broken car. I also paid an extra few thousand for a bumper to bumper warranty that has been useless in getting this resolved because Honda acknowledges they are unsure how to fix the car. I'd also like to mention the issues I had from the very start with missing plates, lack of and dishonest communication from the dealership and the obvious lack of maintenance done before selling the car to me . I dropped my truck off with Micha at 7:30 in the morning. He verified I had Honda care and my phone number. When I hadn't heard anything by 1:45, I decided to give them a call, only to learn my car had been ready since 11:30. Through talking with Micha, he said I had opted out of text messages, but I had not opted out, he had me down for email communication (but he was texting) me. Micha apologized and corrected it in the system. You may want to verify that your communication with them is correct before leaving. There was no follow up when I wasn't heard from. In this day, when you spend almost $50,000 on a brand new truck, purchase the Honda care to have your service done at the dealership. I don't have to bring my vehicle to Right Honda for service, but I purchased it from Right Honda, so thought why not go to the dealership I purchased it from. People have choices in dealerships and service departments. A simple car wash would be the attention to detail that would make people feel they are valued and the dealership appreciates their choice to bring their vehicle to them. They already have the personnel on site since they wash your car when you purchase it. Right Honda Service department could do better. In fact, they really need to re-evaluate the meaning of the word service. When your business is to provide a service, you should really make the customer feel like they, their time, and their money is valued. I will think twice about bringing my vehicle back for its future service needs, especially when there are numerous Honda options in the area. read more

DISABLED VETERANS BEWARE: We bought a used vehicle here and they sent the registration for this year 2025. They said they covered the registration fees when we purchased the vehicle. Today we found out from the DMV that they used my husband's 100% VA disabled status to pay less for this car registration. They did not tell us they were using his disability to cover the cost. This is upsetting because we have a family van that we use his benefit for every year. Our family van is more pricey on registration. The dealership did not ask us or tell us they would use his disability. So we could not financially plan for it. We went to right Honda cause we had a Honda HRV, which we love, but I had an accident and it was totaled. The salesman shown us Sakar and the price was right and it was really fine. Everything good we brought it home and drove it realized there's no tailgate opening for the trunk. There's no air-conditioning event in the back. The car was really just a seat in four wheels so we went back to the dealership and spoke to the general manager, and he said there was nothing he could do and if I wanted to trade in the car again, it would cost extra taxes and extra an extra that. When we got home, we spoke to a friend of ours and he said asking for the tax again is a federal offense. I called Honda corporate and they said to me we're sorry we can't help you. It's the dealership issue very nice. I called to speak to the general manager, and they asked me why I want to speak to him and I said it's between me and the general manager a couple hours later the same guy calls me up and says how can I help you?
