I've seen Dr M for about 3 years. First of all - she's an excellent dentist, her clinic is state of the art/immaculately clean, and her staff/hygenists are all wonderful. Billing, appointment reminders, follow-ups etc. are all so efficient and her office is very well run. She truly cares about her patients & goes above and beyond. I recently had an emergency prior to flying out for a business trip, and she fitted me in last minute without a fuss. That's just one example of many - in my experience. Everyone in the office seems friendly and helpful. I was particularly impressed because my initial appointment was a few weeks out, but when I called with some pressing issues, Dr. Madhavan herself picked up the phone at the end of the day after the front desk person had already left. She asked a few questions about my condition and suggested I come in sooner & then the next day I got a call back saying they had some time open up for my full check-up in just a few days. The Dr. spent a few minutes up front getting to know me, any concerns & more details about my issues. The hygienist was friendly and did a great job with the cleaning! X-rays were quick & hassle-free, again unlike most dental experiences. The Dr. did an exam an x-ray review at the end of the visit pointing out some things & recommended options, without the hard sell you can get at some dentist. A big plus! I really like that the office is her own practice & not some franchise. They treat you better & seem to realize the value of the customer & importance of keeping us satisfied, knowing that every visit has to be positive experience to keep you coming back Really happy we have this newer option on the plateau & highly recommend! read more

I had decided to try out Dr. Madhavan because she was closer to my house than my previous dentist and it was in the new construction next to the new Metropolitan Market in Sammamish. I'm so glad I did as she is the best. dentist. ever. It was truly the best dental experience I've had. It was reallly easy to find because I had been to the Metropolitan Market before and for some reason I just knew that it had to be in the new building that is up the hill slightly in the new village area. I had no problem finding the signage, and despite a few construction folks and lower offices of the building still being worked on, I took the stairs and found it no problem. I also saw that Allegro Pediatrics was there too, so I'll be coming here with the kids too. When I came in, Trish was super friendly and a wonderful person. The paper work was not paper work at all! I was handed an iPad, which was a super easy experience! This first impression was the first of many marks of excellence that I would experience--this brand new dentistry decided there was a better way to fill out the paper work! Every other dentist I've been to just used paper and pen, but not this one! Okay, I wanted to see more. As I was waiting, I saw the magazines, which seemed to be well-curated, and picked up GameInformer, which was really interesting to see. This dentist and assistant were cool! Trish got me settled into the dental chair, which was in warm and open feeling room. I could tell that the layout and decor of the room was given the proper attention to make it feel warm and hospitable, which I could literally feel. This was a consistent feeling throughout the hallways and especially the dentist's "office", which was more like a nice and pleasantly open living room lounge--again very comforting and hospitable. Dr. Madhavan, who insisted I go by her first name Asha, was warm, intelligent, friendly, and insightful--a nurturing and clear communicator who I felt truly had my interests as a dental patient and person at heart. I truly appreciated that she took the time to develop a dentist-patient relationship with me to find out and work with my concerns/anxieties/desires as a patient. The x-rays were the easiest, most comfortable, and painless I have ever experienced. From what I could tell, it was the latest tech. Other places claim to have new equipment, but not like this. This x-ray machine was many levels above, like it was from the future! The protective overcoat thing had no lead in it, making it quite lightweight. I asked about it and Trish said it was made of alternative materials. Asha did a quick lookup in parallel and gave the exact heavy metal composition of the alloy, which I was impressed with. All I had to do was gently bite down on the groove while standing and this xray camera, which felt like an AI robot from Star Wars or one of the best shows from SyFy channel, would rotate around my head quickly back and forth a few times. Once seated, I did have to bite down on some film for more detailed x-rays, but these were markedly smaller, softer around the edges and corners than the archaic and klunky ones at other dentists in the area. You know what I'm talking about! I had been burned by previous dentists not willing to explain their jargon, which led to natural distrust (were they allowing cavities to grow by putting a watch to maximize profits instead of nipping that small cavity in the bud?). Asha proactively and clearly expressed her desire to know about my concerns so that she could address them and clearly develop that much-needed trust. For the first time with a dentist, I felt I could go out on a limb one last time and trust her and she did not disappoint. To maximize efficacy she deferred explanation to the end, which was reasonable to me. Asha did the cleaning and when I expressed that I sometimes did not like the new ultrasonic cleaning tools, she used the old skool explorers and other manual tools for some of the more sensitive areas of my teeth, which I appreciated. She asked about the rather weak mouth wash solution in the spray tool and I said it was pleasant but I'd rather just have plain water so she had Trish flush it out immediately, so that was just fine. It would have been better to ask about this preference upfront, but at least she did ask and was quick to address my input. Asha took the time to go over every detail of the x-rays and before/after cleaning pics, which I really appreciated. She explained particular parts of the teeth I needed to give more attention to when brushing and gave me some extras tools/products in the to-go bag tailored to my particular needs of my gums and teeth. Finally, I have a found a dentist whom I could trust and Trish is just an awesome and cool person, who is in touch with gamers (it was her gaming magazine she had brought from home!). I don't really get dental work done that often due to my high anxiety of being at the dentist. I had a bad tooth ache so I had to get in. So after my initial appointment with Dr Asha her caring, sincere attitude helped me get through the appointment and comfortable enough onto scheduling my next appointment which I needed a root canal so I came back a week later and I felt like I didn't need the nitrous gas which I usually use when at the dentist but I felt at ease with Dr Asha I knew from there I would be in good hands. She was very gentle during the procedure. So She finished the root canal i was a little sore for a couple of days but now I havent had any pain since then thank goodness ! I'm very happy that I found a dentist that I'm not afraid of going to now. Thank you Dr Asha! read more

My first experience here as a new patient was AMAZING! Once I arrived I was greeted with positive vibes and smiles by Trish. Trish she was so wonderful and informed me about what we were doing today which was a full mouth X-rays and exam. X-rays, they can be really uncomfortable. But the X-rays they have here is really nice, it's a different type of X-rays system that is comfortable and quick which I like because I have a very strong gag reflex. Dr Asha came in full of good energy. She is very knowledgeable, patient and actually listens to my concerns. She made me feel like I was the only patient there. We had a terrible experience here! Actually my 16-year-old daughter. We wanted to get this problem fixed before the start of school...and this opened near to our house and we decided to use this rather than our regular place in Redmond as our dentist was retiring. Terrible mistake! The front office is fine but you get the feeling they are super new to this and are a little confused. But they are helpful atleast! The main problem was the dentist. We came in for a simple filling. The doctor was not confident at all. She was nervous, very rough and hurt my daughter's gums and did a terrible job resurfacing the tooth so my daughter heard a scrunching noise when she moved her jaws and was painful! She did not want to go back and we went back to our old place with the new dentist and he did the resurfacing for free. And the whole time we were there, she kept pushing us to get a full mouth X-ray again and again. We were OK with an X-Ray for the problem tooth but not for the full mouth. We came in only for a filling. She even suggested that the full mouth X-Ray would be better to see the cavity :). Her explanation, was that our insurance covers it so we should do it... Too much of a hard sell that it was mildly irritating! Lesson learned: Just because a place is close to home it is not a reason to try it out! Go for an experienced dentist! The drive is worth it! Update after comment: Actually it is the same clinic...If I could write such a detailed review I would have checked the name. I am usually not that bad :) I posted this as I got the EOB and got reminded of this...otherwise would have ignored it... But as soon as I posted my review I saw 2 people join yelp and immediately post the first review which of course was 5 stars which pretty much makes my point :). Go figure! read more

Went to my first dental appointment in years the other day. I've always for some reason been so scared of the dentist but my tooth was killing me so I made myself go in. From the very start of my appointment they were so nice. Very welcoming and reassuring they would make it as easy as possible. I got my xrays done, which weren't as bad as I remember from years ago. Then Dr. Asha sat with me and listened to all my old stories of being scared, why I had not come in for ever and not once did I feel judged what so ever, it was like I was just talking to an old friend, Dr asha and Trish, I hope Im remembering her name are amazing. I ended up getting my tooth taken out, and I can say there wasnt much pain involved at all. I was almost in tears before I walked in their office. They actually had me laughing and scheduling my next appt. Thank you guys so much! It really means alot to someone like me to be comfortable in a dental office. read more

Dr. Madhavan is awesome! She is so gentle, caring, and easy to talk to. She takes the time to get to know you. I have visited her office four or five times. Each time I've left feeling very good about my decision to change dentists. She fully explains every procedure she is doing, if she makes a recommendatiion for additional work, she isn't pushy about it. Her assistant Trisha is great; very friendly, and knows how to handle insurance claims. Before each procedure, I always knew exactly what my out-of-pocket cost would be. I appreciate that because there's no surprise at the end. My former dentist is located in my neighborhood, but I willingly drive to Sammamish to see Dr. Madhavan. I'm one of those people who actually enjoys going to the dentist, but if you are not like me and are somewhat afraid, I'd recommend Asha. She's very gentle and makes sure you are comfortable and not feeling any pain. If the noise from the instruments bother you, they have headphones and you can watch Netflix or whatever you choose. read more
