I moved to the Issaquah area years ago and tried to find a new dentist. My neighbor recommended Dr Woo and I gave a try. I am not super picky person. But I was so disappointed and upset when I was leaving my home to the office I found my appointment was canceled without any calls!!! The office only sent a simple text message to cancel it! My all plan was ruined. Then I called the office and the reception lady just hang up my phone because of the poor connection. That's really rude! I still gave them a second chance to message for reschedule. What a ridiculous thing is, since I responded late, I had to wait over three weeks for the new appointment! Okay! I still gave the third chance. I booked a new appointment. Then, they continued sending confirmation reminders even I confirmed. The office lady always blamed the message system. And she never sincerely apologized. The communication is very horrible. The office never called the patients to remind or email patients in advance. I would say, it is not family and senior friendly if ONLY rely on the technology (then why you need to hire the office manager? ) Dr Woo and her hygiene team are great. I've been in twice so far, once for a cleaning and again to have some cavities filled. The team has been very polite, professional and efficient. The office is clean and they appear to use very current technology, which makes the whole experience more comfortable and efficient. My last dentist was great but W Dentistry is even better. I'd be really careful with this place. Towards the end of 2023 (a couple days before the year was out), my wife went in for a wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Woo and her dad convinced my wife to get all four teeth removed even though this wasn't a necessary procedure. My wife did mention that she was pregnant, and they assured her that it was a routine procedure, and it was a good time to have the procedure. Past the procedure, when I picked up my wife and went to the pharmacy to pick up the prescribed medication, they hadn't called ahead with the prescription, and my wife was sitting in the parking lot for over an hour with her mouth bleeding while I was waiting at the pharmacy counter. Apparently, it's common practice to start taking antibiotics a day before the procedure but not only didn't they call the medication ahead, they did it after the procedure. Talk about adding insult to literal injury. As our luck would have it, the prescribed antibiotics triggered a rare autoimmune disorder in my wife, and she spent close to a week in the ER / daily hospital visits. We were sure we had lost the baby on top of the additional stress we had to go through with my wife's condition. I've given Dr. Woo an entire year and then some to see if she'd reach out: just to check with my wife as to how she's doing now. Nada. Zilch. Hence this review. Dr. Woo didn't reach out to my to ask about the pregnancy, the aftermath of the ER visits or even to ask if my wife had recovered from the wisdom tooth removal procedure. The place was tone-deaf enough to keep calling me for my appointments multiple times in the 1-2 months after my wife's procedure (despite not reaching out to my wife at all). I kept saying I can't make their suggested timeslots hoping they'd get a hint till I told them that I'm finding another dentist. You'd think Dr. Woo would know the right thing to do, for her patient. I saw Dr. Woo for the first time today since she kindly squeezed me in for a dentist appt when another dentist couldn't see me for almost a month and she was gentle and skillful and provided me with excellent care for a tooth that needed a new filling since the filling had come off. She explains everything she is doing in detail and answered all my questions. Amber who scheduled me for the appointment was so welcoming and responsive by text and phone and made the whole process of getting in for an appointment with Dr. Woo quick and easy and I now plan to transfer my dental care to Dr. Woo and look forward to seeing her and her care team again in January 2025. read more

Dr Kari Woo is super professional, super through and just the right mix of suggesting treatment yet not being too aggressive. I really get the sense that Dr Woo is advocating for what's best for my teeth long-term. The front desk person is super helpful and really leans in to finding times that work and communicates well. Dr. Kari Woo and her staff work with the utmost professionalism that I have come across. They are so quick to answer any questions and ensure that you are receiving the right level of care. Tracy, the Practice Coordinator, is by far one of the best that I have worked with. She always explains the complexities of the insurance billing if there is any confusion from me. She goes above and beyond to ensure that each patient gets the most from their insurance coverage. She is always quick to follow up and always thinks ahead about any potential scheduling conflicts that may arise. I cannot stress the fact that Tracy is one of the best patient coordinators I have met in any field. Dr. Woo is a very knowledgeable dentist and upon intake she took the time to check the condition of every single tooth and gum care to a degree that I have never seen in any other dentist. Just on the initial intake I learned more about my gums than I had with any other dentist. She professionally lays out the best dental options with visuals and goes through each tooth one by one. She is able to spot any previous dental work that had been done by prior dentists that I did not even know about. This is a practice that navigates the complexities of dental care and billing with the utmost professionalism. I had been having severe tooth pain from a tooth that had a persistent infection so I called multiple dentists in the area and Dr. Woo's office got back to me right away. I also just needed a lot of work done in general because I had avoided seeing a dentist after moving here from out of state. My problem tooth flared up and Tracy got me in right away to see Dr. Woo. I ended up needing all my wisdom teeth extracted as well as two of my second molars. I have a difficult schedule but Dr. Woo's office squeezed me in ASAP and by that I mean I was in the following week and the extractions went perfectly! My extraction sites were especially sore afterward as I had trouble keeping them clean. I ended up needing to call Dr. Woo one weekend because the pain was so severe. Dr. Woo came in on Mother's Day even though her office was closed and fixed me up! Everyone on her team is so nice!!! Tracy does all the scheduling and she has worked with my always changing work schedule and calls me right away if something opens up that might work better for me. Dr. Woo is the nicest, most competent, attentive dentist I have been to. While her office is modern, she doesn't drive up the cost of dental work and that's something I really appreciate. I was very happy with my dentist back home so finding a new one has been very difficult for me but I am so glad I found W Dentistry. I assure you, you will be taken care of here! I was looking for a dentist near my home. I found Dr. Woo after doing some online searching and am so glad I found her! She's a great dentist! She explains everything in thorough detail and answers any questions that you may have about certain procedures. I had to get all of my wisdom teeth extracted, and Dr. Woo was great before, during and after the procedure. She truly cares about her patients. Roxy (one of the hygienists) and Tracy (front desk) are great as well! Also, every time I come here, it feels like I'm going to the spa instead of the dentist. They give you an option of a paraffin hand treatment, neck pillows, blankets, iPods with Pandora music, etc while you're sitting in the dentist chair. Last time I was in for a visit, Dr. Woo was running late and I got a Starbucks gift card for having to wait longer than usual. read more

First off, the office interior itself was beautifully designed, absolutely eye catching. Second, Tracey was a delight to talk to and answer my questions as a new patient. Third, my hygienist Jennifer was AMAZING. Literally want her to be my best friend, she explain everything that she was doing, always asking if I was always comfortable and if I needed to check on or feed my newborn, who I brought with me and he slept soundly in the car seat, she even changed the cherry flavor polish to mint after she asked me if I was a fan of cherries and I am not BUT I was going to fuss over something so small, but she insisted she changed the flavor of I wasn't a fan of the taste. Finally Dr. Woo herself was incredibly honest about the health of my teeth, which I appreciate, but she also didn't make me feel like a gross human being. She sat down with me in her conference room, and explained what she found and what needed to happen, how many visits, the time it would take and what some possibilities were. Who likes going to the dentist? Probably not most people. Definitely not me. After getting a job with dental insurance and having a chat with my father I was finally given the push to go see a dentist. My dad doesn't often recommend people, but he said Dr. Woo was great, so despite living in Seattle near a lot of dentists, I decided to make the drive out to Issaquah to see her. Once I got over the terrifying hurdle of actually stepping inside a dentist office, I have been able to show up for my subsequent appointments knowing that I would feel comfortable and unembarrassed (despite the very sad state of my mouth) thanks to Dr. Woo and staff. At the first appointment, I got a fancy lavender-wax hand treatment, which was all I needed to calm my nerves. It felt wonderful. I've also been offered a neck roll and a blanket at every subsequent visit (though I tend to get hot easily and usually decline). Dr. Woo is very knowledgeable and is able to explain things in terms I understand without making me feel like she's "dumbing things down" or anything like that. She is empathetic and has been very flexible in fitting me on my one day off during the week. She's very thorough in with every procedure and I've been very satisfied with everything I've had done so far. Her assistant (I am so bad with names but I'm pretty sure it's Erika/Erica) is wonderful, and they seem to work together really well. And Tracy at the front desk is very accommodating and easy to get in touch with regarding appointments/payment. I can't say any of my visits have been pleasant, but that is because of what is getting done, not because of who is doing it. I'm really glad I've chosen to make the drive out to see Dr. Woo. I've been to more than a handful of dentists in my life and some were very good, but none were better than Dr. Kari Woo and her staff at W-Dentistry. As others have noted, every person that you deal with in the office is very helpful and seems to be genuinely interested in making sure you have a comfortable, pleasant visit. I suspect much of this success starts with Dr. Woo, but is also a result that this is a single dentist, sole proprietorship office and not a franchised office with multiple dentists and excessive staff that quickly loses the caring attitude you get here. On my first visit, Dr. Woo performed a thorough exam and cleaning, after which she explained the results and recommended treatment, with pictures taken during the exam to support her suggestions ( a big help in my opinion) with some options based on what questions or concerns you may have. I had several cavities filled during subsequent visits and must say Dr. Woo did a great job, again showing before and after pictures, so you can see what you're getting for the money (again, a big plus for me). I got the feeling she really cares about doing a great job and while I am no expert, the results clearly show she knows both the science and artistry of dental work, with the end product looking as good as the originals ever did! The only aspect that could be improved is the office availability, with current hours on M-Thurs only. Would be great to see Friday hours added, but not at the expense of adding another dentist ever and losing the culture, atmosphere and quality Dr. Woo has built in her practice. For all these reasons, I would highly recommend Dr. Woo and W-Dentistry. read more

Prior to becoming patient at W Dentistry, it was hard to imagine a positive experience at the dentist. Dr. Woo and her staff are outstanding, and the treatment is nearly spa-like. After being brought into the room, I was offered a heated lavender neck wrap which I gladly accepted. The hospitality did not end here. Next, my legs were covered with a warm blanket and I was given the option of a paraffin wax soak for my hands. This was, admittedly, my first time ever feeling relaxed during a visit to the dentist. During my examination and cleaning, Dr. Woo and her assistant were very thorough, kind, and careful. She has all of the latest technologies, and makes sure that you are aware of what is happening the entire time. At the end of the appointment, she showed me close-up pictures of my teeth and explained the next steps that we should take to resolve issues that she had found. I left feeling thrilled about my experience and will definitely be a patient here for a very long time. read more

Coming from having two terrible dentist experiences in the past, I had grown to HATE the dentist. Knowing that I needed to go however, I finally made the appointment with Dr. Woo based on word of mouth, and I am SO glad that I did! From the second I walked in I was greeted by her friendly front desk manager Tracy, who helped lighten the mood with some laughter. I then was taken back into what is a spa-like environment (shout out to Jacob for great reference). I was offered a paraffin hand-dip with warm hand wraps, a lavender scented heated neck pillow, my own iPod with Pandora, and a fleece blanket for my legs. There was also a TV screen in front me that had a very tranquil picture of a sunrise/sunset over a marina. Having not been to the dentist in over a year I had to get my entire mouth x-rayed and then it was onto the cleaning. The dental assistant Lorinda was great and very kind knowing I hated the dentist. Dr. Woo was very kind as well and made me feel very comfortable. They were also great about checking in with me to make sure I was doing ok. I was informed in detail of what was going on, what the next steps would be, and how best to proceed. From the relaxing environment to the friendly staff, I left W Dentistry with a different outlook on the dentist and will definitely be a patient for years to come. :-) read more

The best experience I have ever had with a dentist !! Nothing scares me more than going to dentist, specially my last check up was more than 2 years ago. The detal office is really inviting, modern and clean. Staff is nice and accommodating specially the office manager Tracy, who always make sure I have a great experience. I couldn't be more happier with Dr. Kari Woo and her staff (Tracy & Erica?). This place is a hidden gem! Checkup/cleaning went smoothly. Walked me through step by step what they were doing. It was painless and my teeth were sparkling. At the end, I met with Dr. Woo at her office and went through what I needed to do to get back on track to healthier teeth and the cost. What impressed me was the time she took to discuss and I didn't feel like I was being rushed out. Came back to have some fillings redone.. On the day Tracy called me to notify me that a prior patient took longer than usual so asked if it's ok to come in a little bit later.. I was fine with that as I know things like this can happen..I didn't mind. They really respect patients time and took the effort to notify me which was awesome. Great customer service I say! and at the end they gave me a Starbucks gift card for the inconvenience.. Wow impressed! Back to my filling...all I can say is Dr. Woo was amazing...she took her time to do the job right and I didn't feel like she rushed even though other patients were waiting.. she transformed my teeth from rags to riches! seriously.. at the end she showed me pictures of before, during and after. I kept getting flyers advertising the dentistry in the mail multiple times within a month. I really wanted to like it because I prefer female doctors. I should have known then that there is a reason when someone is so desperate for patients and can't find them otherwise. The girl that does the tooth cleaning is great. But that is unfortunately where the positive things ended. When I went, Dr. Woo wanted to do multiple things - I said very clearly it depends on the price whether I would or wouldn't do them. So the office assistant got on the phone with the insurance and presented me my co-payment. I agreed to the price, paid everything up front, and had all procedures done. Of course, a week after my last appointment, I get a bill saying "sorry, we made a mistake in our calculations, and now you owe us another couple hundred dollars". Of course! YOU make a mistake and I pay for it. At first I thought it was a joke. But then I talked to the assistant, and that's when I got to hear things like "oh we only give you estimates and you agreed to pay any price we say because that is in our fine print and you signed it". Other things that were really annoying: before every single appointment, the assistant would call me and ask if I could move my appointment back or forth by an hour to "consolidate their schedule". Apparently people kept canceling their appointments left and right. Also, giggling and making jokes with the assistant instead of concentrating on my teeth was not exactly giving me a good impression of Dr. Woo. It didn't feel like they were taking their jobs seriously and more like I had accidentally walked into an episode of The Real Housewives of Seattle. read more

I wanted to find a dentist near my house and received a flyer for W Dentistry in the mail. Dr. Woo is very kind and thorough. She did beautiful work on my teeth! She used the best technology and really took her time to make sure I was comfortable. I received free whitening trays as a new customer and I was surprised to see that she gave me custom-fitted trays and take-home whitening! My teeth get very sensitive from whitening but this allows me to do it at my leisure. She's out of my insurance network, but I'm pretty sure I'll return for my regular cleanings because of her kind and friendly demeanor. She's worth a little more out of pocket! Even though her practice is new, I would definitely recommend Dr. Woo! You won't regret it! read more

Dentist or Spa? This place is amazing! Let me walk you thru my experience. I check-in, then am escorted to an area to get my hands dipped in a paraffin wax dip. Then I go to the dentist chair, get wrapped in a soft blanket and a heated aroma therapy neck pillow while I get my teeth worked on. That's right HEATED AROMA THERAPY! I leave with baby soft hands, relaxed and my teeth looking good. The most comfortable dentist experience you will ever have. And I'm sorry but if you don't care to be pampered while getting your dental services done... well that's just plain UnAmerican. I used to go to a different dentist but because I have more complicated issues dealing with my jaw I had to seek out more comprehensive treatment and discovered W Dentistry. I don't know how anyone can go back. I highly, highly, recommend this place! read more
