We noticed a 5 star rating for Ashay's So we ordered a thin crust pizza which we know supposed to be somewhat crunchy. The pizza crust we got so hard you could hardly break it in two. It had a slight burnt taste it was awful!! I was really disappointed with this place. Can't believe they let a pizza that badly prepared to leave your place. Went to try this place out since it is close to home and I have to say, I was not disappointed by the pizza at all! I haven't had pizza in a while so I opted for the regular crust Popeye protein pizza and man every bit of it was delicious. They have lunch special from 11-2 so try to make it in there and get a pizza, Coke and brownie for around $8, i just got the medium size and it was enough for myself and my wife. We went there based on all of the good reviews. We were disappointed. First of all, there was no sit down table service. But we ordered and took 2 pizzas home. The Hawaiian pizza was a disappointment. I barely found any pineapple on it and it tasted more "Italian" than anything and had jalapeños on it which did not fit "Hawaiian" at all!! Not good! The Classic was good but not the best that we have ever had. Fresh vegetable condiments seem to be scarce on the pizzas. We have ordered a third time and stand by the above review of the pizzas. There is not really a size variance to choose from either. Wish they had individual as well as really large pizzas. So I've been living in the neighborhood across from Ashay's Pizza for the past two years, and boy have I been sleeping on this pizza. Ever since MOD opened up on HWY 6, that's all my family's wanted pizza wise, against my usual protests of course. Not that there's anything wrong with it. It just can't compare to my newly discovered delight of Ashay's soft, pillowy, flavorful dough, slightly sweet, tangy sauce, and beautifully salty, melty cheese. I cannot stress how soft this crust is, and it's not soggy. It's just slightly chewy, contrary to the hard, cheesy cardboard some places offer. It was a little too soft and bready to earn five stars but it was tasty. The zesty red pizza sauce was too sweet for our taste but it had good flavor. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. I would have given this place 4 stars but my brother was scolded by a staff member for ordering 2 flavors for 10 piece wings. I'm all about supporting small business and would have definitely paid for the extra container. I would suggest to add an additional charge option for selecting two flavors or possibly a piece of parchment paper to separate the flavors like other establishments. This place has been like 5 different failed pizza joints, so we were reluctant for the first few months to try the new next-to-the-gas-station pizza place. Every ingredient was thought out.
