I ordered four boneless chicken biryanis for pickup on a Saturday evening. When I arrived the staff didn't know which orders were ready -- I waited seated for 10 minutes while a front‑of‑house employee repeatedly asked for my order and seemed unsure whether it was prepared. After another 20 minutes my order was finally found sitting on the counter; it had likely been sitting for a while. At home the biryani was cold and bland. Short version: long, disorganized wait; confused staff; cold, poor‑quality food. Spent over $60 and left disappointed. The restaurant needs better order tracking, clearer communication with customers, and improvements to food temperature and flavor. I won't be returning.

As usual, this place has good food, but bad service. The chicken lollipop was crispy and the bang bang chicken was seasoned well. The butter chicken was creamy and paired nicely with the garlic naan. The chicken biryani was the perfect amount of spicy, but, just like last time, took forever to come out. Also, the waiters took a while to take our orders and didn't bring out the food in a logical order. Additionally, the mango lassi didn't have that great of a mango flavor and had too much yogurt compared to milk ratio. However, the food here generally is authentic and seasoned nicely.

I am solely rating this on our takeout experience, we did not eat inside! In all fairness to the staff as well, it was a busy Saturday night. A sit down experience may be better. We placed our order at 7:30 pm for a pick up time of 8:15pm, which was the earliest we could. We arrived there around 8:15pm to pick up our order and did not recieve it until 9:02pm. We waited nearly an entire hour for a takeout order, in all fairness the waiting area seemed clean and had seats. The staff continually told us the entire time we waited that it would only be a few more minutes. They did apologize at the end and said that people had been taking the wrong orders. For the food, we ordered two butter chickens, one chicken saag, a garlic Naan and a mango lassi. They were fine, the chicken saag was the best of the dishes and the Naan was cold. We definitely wouldn't order takeout from here again.

This is located in Ashburn, where the old Red Robin used to be. They used the same Signature handles on the front doors as Red Robin. Their menu consists of South Indian specialties, rice/noodle dishes, veg/non-veg entrees, desserts, etc. We ordered the following: Lemon chicken tikka - this was hot, mildly spicy, delicious, but on the salty side. Spicy chicken vindaloo - asked for spicy, but wasn't terribly spicy but it was tasty and this came with rice. Butter bourbon cake - very moist, melt in your mouth, the ice cream wasn't necessary as it was good on its own. Molten lava chocolate cake - devoured by kids within minutes. The restaurant is very large with plenty of seating and elegantly decorated. The chairs are similar to those used at the Aldie location. The service was interesting. They were eager to take the order and were standing there while we were browsing the menu. Once the food came, they were still lined up against the wall, but not clearing the table as dishes were finished. We ordered dessert with extra spoons and we had to ask for additional plates. Since they didn't clear the table, we ate dessert around all the dishes. Would I return? Probably

    Tava fish fry

The service and food were amazing. Food was fantastic, we had tava fish fry, chicken curry, naan, and rice. Everything came out fast, fresh, and tasted great! I also love the fact that each dish had ingredients and possible allergens listed, very thoughtful. We will definitely be back!

From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly and attentive, the ambiance was relaxing, and the food--absolutely outstanding. I drove 1.5 hours for my birthday lunch after a day at the spa, and it was well worth the trip. The standout dishes were the lamb chops, garlic naan, and the crispy spinach and spicy shrimp--all 10/10. I also took home the Chicken 65 and Tiger Prawn Shrimp ( a must have ) both of which were just as delicious. Be mindful that they close at 2:30 pm for preparation before dinner service, so plan accordingly. I left with enough food to last two days, and with plenty of parking in the shopping plaza, this spot is a must-try for any food lover in the area or just wanting to venture out . Highly recommend!

If this is true, it's very disappointing because the staff work hard every day and deserve to be paid promptly for their efforts. I hope the management takes this issue seriously and treats its employees fairly. I'm sharing this review in the hope that it encourages positive changes, because a restaurant's success depends not only on good food but also on how it values and supports its employees.

Love the catchy and unforgettable name Delhi 6…read more Why Unforgettable? Let me count the ways: 1) Amazing and authentic food. Old school. They do a weekend buffet and ensure that they have fresh, new, creative appetizers and dishes every time. 2) Something for everyone - northern dishes, southern dishes; a great selection for the first timers and spice or curry phobes. 3) Okra, spinach and red kidney beans ( 3 separate dishes today) prepared like I/all of us have never tasted before. 4) Amazing, pro active and very polite staff. The owner is so hands on and ensures all is well. 5) Ample room for big groups and parties. Last time I was here with a group of 10 was on Saturday 8/19/23 ( old Yelp photo) and everyone enjoyed themselves. 6) Great and relaxed atmosphere. The decor is just gorgeous with items and fixtures imported from 7700 miles east of Virginia. 7) 2 old school and just gorgeous desserts today - the rice pudding loaded with raisins and cashews plus the mini donut balls in syrup. 8) My mother came to visit me in 2022 and loved this restaurant ( old Yelp photo) and the service. In fact we were here twice during her birthday week celebrating in August wow 18 months ago. 9) Clean and spotless. The staff is on the ball. 10) A refreshing change from the 15 Indian restaurants in Herndon 10 miles away, all with food that tastes the same.

This is the best Indian restaurant in Virginia. If you like Indian food and are within driving…read moredistance, you owe it to yourself to try this place. I know my opening statement may be contentious, but bear with me. We really like good Indian food. I am originally from the UK so am very well versed in Indian food. I have been in the US for 30 years and have tried Indian food all around the US. A few years ago we moved to Ashburn and was surprised by the lack of good Indian restaurants as there is a noticeable Indian area population. We tried a few and reviewed them here. So when we visited Delhi-6 for the first time in late April 2023, we were cautiously optimistic but ready for for whatever might happen. We went on a friday and we were hungry and assumed there is a buffet, mainly as they advertise it but the days are not clear. There is only a buffet on weekends, but despite what the sites say, this place is open at 11am and not 11:30am, so that is good news. I ordered Lamb Vindaloo, HOT. my wife ordered the Chicken Biryani. We got garlic Naan as well. The place was empty because of the 11/11:30 issue which hopefully they resolve. The restaurant is large with tables for large groups and the service was very attentive. After our wait, the food came out. Holy moley. My Lamb Vindaloo was probably one of the best if not THE BEST Lamb Vindaloo I have had in my entire life. The meat was flawless. No fatty pieces, or tough bits. It was soft and flavourful and so great I can't even think of anything negative to say about it. As I write this I am drooling just remembering it. The sauce was thick and spicy but also had perfect seasoning telling me the chef knows how to balance the flavours and elevate the fantastic lamb. The Naan bread was thin and crispy and held the vindaloo sauce wonderfully. The chicken Biryani was superb. I came with crunchy onions on on top, the chicken was super tender, and the rice cooked to perfection. It came with a beautiful raita. The chef is an artist for the palate. But wait, there's more! We went back in early May 2023 for the buffet. This time they had fried cauliflower which was indescribably great. They had chicken Biryani and I would say 15-20 different dishes. During our visit they also had a lamb Madras. This was another fantastic dish, with the same quality lamb meat, with no fat or tough parts, clearly cooked with love for hours. The flavours were incredible with a richness from all the herbs and spices that was very enjoyable. They also had a Butter Chicken which was texbook superb. Aloo saag was creamy to perfection just the way it should be served. Your opinion may vary, but here is me telling you, if you like Indian food, you owe it to yourself, and Delhi-6 a visit.

Our server, Nani, was wonderful and helped us pick a few favorites, including the chicken butter momos. The mixed grill platter was excellent, especially the tandoori chicken, which was incredibly juicy. We also loved the mushroom pepper fry, street-style chicken fried rice, paneer lababdar, falooda, and the desserts. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. A couple of dishes were definitely spicy (the Special Chicken Curry lived up to its name ), but that's on us for overlooking the menu description. The restaurant is spacious, the menu has an incredible variety, and it's the perfect place if you want to branch out beyond the usual Indian dishes. The only thing we missed out on was the chaat because they were sold out, so we'll definitely be back for that. Great experience overall!

We ordered the Spicy chicken Mandi, which was delicious, and the portion size was huge for the price. I had the Shastri Gari veg pulav, which was good. For dessert, we tried the apricot delight, which was nice and not overly sweet. The decor was unique, and they also have booth seating where you can enjoy Mandi in a traditional style. The service was friendly and quick, but I wish they served food on proper plates rather than takeaway-style containers, at least for dine-in guests. Overall, it's a must try place specially for Mandi lovers.

My favorite dish was the the sukuti sadheko appetizer -- the goat was almost jerky like, chewy (in the best way) but still tender; and spicy. It was served with these rice crispies that looked plain, but had so much flavor on their own. It was a fun & delicious play on texture, flavor and spice. The braised yak was tender and warm with the spices and rice, yum. Loved all the options for goat, lamb, yak, etc. There were also plenty of options for vegetarians as well.

The bar area is big and spacious, and usually sitting at the bar means better, more attentive service. The place was mildly busy, so I expected things to run smoothly -- but that wasn't the case. Right from the start, the bartender wasn't very attentive. We had to ask multiple times just to place our order. For appetizers, we tried the Goat Buttan and the Wild Boar -- we wanted to explore some of the unique delicacies on the menu. Both dishes were interesting, and the Goat Buttan and Wild Boar were actually pretty solid. Unfortunately, the service continued to be an issue. We had to flag the bartender again just to order our entrées and even for simple water refills. We ordered the Mutton Taas and the Yak Chili. The Yak Chili was very good, but the Mutton Taas was extremely dry -- like eating cardboard -- and lacked flavor. Throughout the night, our bartender was constantly absent. More than once, we had to ask another bartender to get his attention so we could get basic service. After finishing our meal, we ordered a dessert, the Gulab Jamun. The presentation looked nothing like the picture -- more like a sloppy drop of pudding -- and the taste was just as disappointing. And again, we had to flag down another bartender because ours was nowhere to be found. Service overall was lackluster, and the tip options started at 20% with no 18% choice. For the level of service we received, 15% would have been more appropriate. I won't be returning anytime soon unless I'm specifically craving their unique delicacies -- which is once in a blue moon.
