Signature Red Label West Indies Black Tea

First of all, I mostly, but not only drink green teas. I tend to gravitate to a lighter tea. But I genuinely love all teas that's prepared for my palate. With regards to the astringency, with this black tea, I don't steep it very long. It does have a full body but again if I steep it less, it's not too strong. It is bright, clean and have a lingering finish on the tongue. It has a strong and fragrant floral, which teases both your nasal when you first inhale and your taste bud with your first sip. You can almost immediately smell and taste the main ingredients of berries or fruits. When I first tasted it, I thought it had a bourbon flavor to it. But then realized it's the malt or muscatel that gives it that subtle flavor and aroma almost of a liquor. The smoothness and softness of the black tea is ever so subtle. So, please try ATC's Red Label West Indes Black Tea. The hibiscus, orange peel, raspberry, blackberry come bursting through with flavors. They each compete to make their presence known. Everything is great about ATC. Everything. Enough said. Calvin Woodum

Cute little tea shop. It's off of the beaten path, not on the main shopping strip of downtown. They do have a lot of different teas for sale, my favorite were the oolong teas. They have fresh samples, both iced and hot to try. It's very small. If you love tea, this is your place.

This summer sweet treat is refreshing, subtle, yet bold! Good served hot and great served over ice! 10/10, will try again! Their teas are so good I support all the way from Indiana! The Savannah Peach is a great addition to my tea collection!

As Mother's Day approaches I searched far and wide for a meaningful Mother's Day gift. Then as I took a moment A light went off. Let's focus on mom's health. Give her a gift that would promote a healthy and strong lifestyle, and that's exactly what Ashford Tea Company does. The owner saw my email and emailed I got a response back. For this to be my first encounter with the business I was delighted. They were prompt and respectful. Mr. Wayne stated that they did not currently have a tea kettle for purchase, but a shipment would be coming soon. So I told myself whenever I got to Savannah I would take a step in. On a beautiful Friday morning I stopped in. Mr. Wayne was setting the store up for a few tours about to take place in a couple of hours. Once he saw me come in he immediately paused, greeted me, and asked if I needed any assistance. And I must mention he also formally introduced himself. Impeccable customer service and even better teas (Over 50 kinds!)! After chatting a few I made my purchase and lingered for a moment to chat about health in the local community involving teas and food intake. Overall this tea shop deserves an A+. The inside of the store is clean, organized, and pleasing to the eye, the owner (Mr. Wayne and wife duo) is concerned and personal, the location is great for a evening or night time stroll in Savannah's historic district, and did I mention this is a black owned business. This is truly Savannah's best kept secret! Please go visit! Pitfalls, none! Run. Don't walk!

Amazing tea and scrumptious tea cookies.

Its intimate and inviting when you walk inside. Chef Joe and his wife Barbara were warm and greeted us right away. There were 20 people that came tonight, a full house! Chef Joe went around the room and personally introduced himself to each person before the cooking began and tried to get to know each person a little. Sitting at each dinner setting is a menu detailing the night's courses and the recipes for all of them. Make sure to bring a camera to take pictures and a pen to make notes. Chef Joe adds a lot of details as he cooks and gives suggestions on variations of each dish. Tonight was the Dinner Party and our menu consisted of Crab and Corn Chowder, Roasted Rack of Sage Rubbed Pork with Madeira Jus Lie, Hoppin' John, Rustic Macaroni and Cheese, Stewed Okra and Tomatoes, Southern Collard Greens, Hoe Cakes and Peach Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream. I have to add here that I don't care for seafood, anything that has a fishy taste in the slightest is not for me. I was nervous about trying the Crab and Corn Chowder... but it was delicious! I couldn't believe how amazing (and non-fishy) it was especially considering he used a seafood stock to make the base. My mouth waters even thinking about it. It will take too long to go over each dish but each one was sooooo good. My favorites were the Okra, Mac n Cheese, Sage Rubbed Pork and Peach Cobbler. I've never had cobbler so good in my life. I cannot wait to go back for more and I cannot wait to make all these dishes myself. I have a feeling a few of these recipes are going to go into heavy rotation and make appearances at pot lucks, holiday dinners, and parties....

I was born and raised in the south and this was the most succulent fried chicken I have ever had. For mains, my wife and I split the Half Bird (fried, charred, chicken salad, pickles, sauces) and Peel N' Eat Shrimp. The gravy served with the chicken was seasoned to perfection and the shrimp prepared with honey mustard rub & white cocktail sauce was excellent. We began our meal with a 1/2 dozen Yuzu Green Peppercorn oysters, and while I wish there was a mix-and-match option to try some of the other flavors, we were very pleased with our selection. For drinks my wife had the Frose Froze with an absinthe float, which she loved, and I had the Golden Door, which was a really solid take on an old fashioned. Our server was delightful and attentive and the atmosphere was unique without being overwhelmingly so. There was a cool, old foreign film playing on one of the TV's above the bar. We made a same day reservation a few hours in advance, and by the way it filled up around 8 pm, I'd recommend it!

Some of the best chicken breast I've had. Fried chicken (5/5): Crunchy, crispy, and not too salty. Unfortunately there wasn't enough actual meat. Biscuits (3/5): A little dry but the honey butter helped with that. Pickles (3/5): Great texture and nice bit of heat. (3.5/5 Stars) Sunday, May 31, 2026…read more Our visit to Top Crab was a good experience overall, with some definite highlights and a few areas that could use improvement. When we first arrived, the staff was friendly, although several employees were gathered around the podium on their cell phones. That said, we were seated immediately, which was appreciated. Our server, Nette, was fantastic throughout the meal, friendly, attentive, and consistently checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was not quite what we expected. Rather than a traditional Low Country seafood feel, it had more of an urban club vibe. Not necessarily a bad thing, just different from what we anticipated. For appetizers, we ordered the Fried Okra and Calamari, and both arrived piping hot and fresh. The calamari was especially impressive and came with a sweet Thai dipping sauce that was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The food overall was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. I ordered the Fried Fish & Shrimp but also wanted fried oysters. Unfortunately, there wasn't an option to build a seafood combo, so I ended up purchasing two separate entrées. It would be great if Top Crab offered a "pick 2 or 3 seafood items" combo like many other seafood restaurants. Matt ordered the Seafood Boil (Combo A, Medium Heat), and it was easily the star of the evening. The seasoning was spot-on, the seafood was cooked perfectly, and the portion size was generous enough that he had leftovers to take home. The shrimp were juicy and flavorful, and the seasoning had just the right amount of kick. The crab legs were decent but didn't have as much meat as he had expected. Overall, if you're looking for a quick meal and good seafood in the Savannah area, Top Crab is definitely worth a visit. Great service from Nette, flavorful food, and several menu items that would bring us back again. While there are a few things that could be improved, we enjoyed our experience and will likely return in the future.
