    Wasabi Oysters
    Hannah B.

The wine & oysters were fantastic here, the wasabi pea tobiko oysters were very light/refreshing (our server mentioned they were kind of a palette cleanser), and the caper brown butter oysters were packed with flavor. Didn't get to snag a pic but I also ordered the peel n eat shrimp and they were so good with a nice portion! Need to come back and try the fried chicken dinner forsure! Really chill atmosphere which was a plus. Would love to come back again whenever I'm in Savannah.

Loud, vibrant place to check out. It's known for their fried chicken which was juicy and tender. It comes with 2 dipping sauces: gravy (which was bland) and a type of hot sauce. I wish their menu included mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The peeled shrimp was a bit too salty but still tasted good. Solid place for fried chicken but wouldn't say it's the best one ever.

Had a great meal at Brochu's. Loved the space which was open and loud. My salad is difficult to describe - full of seeds based protein and fresh greens. It was rich and filling! Our server was among the best I have ever had and everyone who worked at Brochu's seemed to be having a great time! I would eagerly return again!

Wow, great experience here highly recommend! Local bustling feel, comfortable and informal with more locals than tourists. Drinks are great with fun frozen options. But come here for fried chicken and oysters, both are delicious. The whole/half chicken come with grilled chicken breast - it's good in its own right but can't hold a candle to the fried chicken thighs which are juicy, extremely crispy and served boneless. It's up there with the best fried chicken I've had. Oysters are local, fresh and also delicious with novel preparations. Note only two oyster varieties so don't expect a raw bar tour there.

Brochus is hands down my favorite place in Savannah. Everything about this restaurant was outstanding, from the food to the drinks to the service. The chicken platter was absolutely incredible--the chicken breast literally melted in my mouth. The biscuits were pure perfection, and the sauce selection took everything to the next level. Between the rich gravy, the spicy sauce, and the honey butter for the biscuits, every bite was better than the last. Dessert was just as memorable. The eggnog crème brûlée was so unique and delicious, and learning that it comes from the owner's grandma's recipe made it even more special. On top of all that, the drinks were phenomenal and the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming. This place is a must-visit in Savannah, and I can't wait to come back.

Creativity is on point. Everything was quite heavy and salty on the seasoning though. It could go much shier on it and it would be perfect. Fav is the Jerk Oyster without eating the whole sauce lol.

So happy we made were able to get a last minute reservation at Brochu's. This was the best fried chicken we've ever had, not too heavy on the batter, everything we had was dellicious. Their pies were also top notch, no leftovers for us

What a fun spot with delicious fried chicken. We got the chicken platter so we could try a little of everything. We also started with some wings, dips, chimichurri shrimp, and potatoes. Everything was delicious. They have a great outdoor area as well. You go up to the window to order your food and drinks.

Brochu's Family Tradition was recommended to me for fried chicken, and boy am I glad I went! They're located a bit south of downtown (20 min walk from Forsyth Park), so it's not walking distance to a lot of sightseeing, but it's worth the trip! The entrance is off of 40th street through a large fence. There isn't much signage, it looks like Google Maps is taking you to a nondescript building. They take reservations for tables inside, and the place fills up! Walk ins are welcome at the bar and outside on the patio, but again, it gets full quick! If I went with a group, I would definitely order a fried chicken platter -- the platters looked absolutely stunning! I got a fried chicken sandwich, and the chicken was amazing. Moist on the inside and crispy on the outside! The biscuits with honey butter were also a tasty snack. Despite being so full after my meal, I was convinced to try the banana pudding, and it was divine! Service was great. Vibes were fun. Definitely worth a trip while in Savannah.

Fried chicken sandwich. Probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had!!!

They are always impressive. These guys rock the food scene and the fried chicken. Got their maple bacon mustard wings and very delicious. Their sour hour still holds my wing heart!!! The service is always great and the staff care about their customers and how they enjoy their meal. The place is fun and their decor is great. Their wallpaper in the bathroom area is the IG picture for the place. They recently upgraded their outdoor seating area it looks amazing!! Definitely on the best in town you gotta try!!!

Sherry oysters - IMO a little overpowering

Phenomenal chicken! It sounds like such a basic staple, but do not miss out on this place. Not to mention the raw oysters - definitely try the Nori mushroom dry rub raw oysters, to die for! We split a dozen oysters, the half chicken, and the "dirty rice" (which we'd consider a southern fried rice) and still had some leftovers. Cocktails were creative but yummy and service was super friendly. Ambiance was a little lively due to it being packed but that's expected. The chicken salad was the only thing we didn't absolutely love - and finding the entrance was a pain (it's off 40th not Bull and tucked off the street so not visible until you're right up on it)

A cute little restaurant! Super cozy vibe. We ordered a few things but the one item that stand out was the whole chicken dinner. It was absolutely delicious. There were many different styles that the chicken were prepared. The chicken was so tender and melted in your mouth. The chicken salad was perfect. The biscuits and honey butter were so good, it was soft and had a perfect amount of sweetness. So delicious. I would recommend ordering this if you have 3-4 people in your party! The service was great, too! Very attentive!

We met family in Savanah and got stuck in a rainstorm. Thankfully Brochu's had plenty of indoor and outdoor covered seating. You order drinks from your server but go up to the window to order food. Most of the small plates are plenty to share for 2 or 3. The rice was the favorite amongst everyone at the table. Chicken sandwich was a second favorite. We ended the meal with banana pudding and the dirt pie. It sounded delicious but even the kids didn't care for it. The homemade gummy worms were way too strong and had been sitting on the top of the pie for too long.

Our Uber driver highly recommended Sorry Charlie's, so we decided to give it a try. Our first visit was genuinely pleasant, which is why we came back. However, our second visit was ruined by an encounter with the manager. This person was extremely rude and dismissive--I'm genuinely shocked she works in the service industry. We arrived for dinner and were told there would be a 10-20 minute wait, which we agreed to. After approximately 20 minutes, the manager stormed across the restaurant and yelled at us as if we were children, demanding we not stand by the hostess stand. We had never been instructed to wait elsewhere. My wife reacted as anyone would have and expressed her frustration. The manager then escalated the situation, exchanged words with us, and ultimately kicked us out while threatening to call the police. Hoping to resolve things professionally, I returned the next morning to have a mature conversation about the incident. The manager's response was condescending: "You guys are brave coming back in here." This unprofessional comment from management spoke volumes. The food quality is excellent and the staff is great, but this manager is a significant problem. She is unsuited for customer service and needs to find work elsewhere.

The brunch menu is fairly…read moreextensive, so we had some difficulty choosing what to order....but definitely come hungry because the portions are large and the food is pretty rich. To share amongst the table, we ordered the cinnamon toast banane and crispy gouda grit croquettes. Thumbs up on both, particularly the croquettes which were the right balance of gooey and structured enough to eat with the delicious sauce on the side. The cinnamon toast banane was not so much toast as cinnamon rolls with bananas foster; the cinnamon rolls were really tasty and the bananas foster was good, though the bourbon flavor was strong. For my entree, I ordered one of the lighter vegetarian dishes - the mushroom tartine with tomato soup. I think it is one of the lighter dishes - certainly lighter than what my dining companions ordered - but it was still quite rich with a fair amount of gouda fondue in the tomato bisque soup. The mushroom tartine/sandwich was really flavorful with the pesto, cheese and tons of mushrooms. The restaurant is quite large with an upstairs seating area.

Been here for both dinner and lunch. All this said, I think my approach to this review is comprehensive. With regard to food, I think they have a decent (not expansive) selection of food, which I think lends itself to quality. They do most things really well. This said, I do think there is inconsistency based on staff at the restaurant. On one occasion they have accommodated a request, and on another I was denied the exact same request. I found this frustrating. On one occasion I've also seen management talk down to staff here, which is a big no no for me. All people (especially staff) are due respect and this rubbed me the wrong way. This was an isolated incident but it definitely made my dining experience uncomfortable. Especially because I was getting excellent service from the server!!! I've always had quality service from servers here. In the future, I would come to Rhett for convenience as a hotel guest (the hotel is lovely), but would likely not spend my money if I wasn't staying at the hotel. Overall- it's good food, decent ambiance... but there are soooo many good options in Savannah. You have to be exceptional to stand out in that city.
