Part of the overhead menu, how you start.

My wife and I went to Sweet Retreat on a Sunday evening. Not very busy, and the wait (I didn't time it) was quite reasonable, and the staff were very pleasant and got our orders right. The decor is plain. We ate in. The restaurant was quiet enough (around 67 decibels) for quiet conversation, even though I'm a little deaf at 84. The overhead menu walks you through composing your own poke bowl or ramen noodles. I had the poke bowl, with sushi rice, shrimp, edamame, cucumber, seaweed salad, and spicy tuna, and several other things. I asked for it spicy, and that's what I got. I enjoyed it all thoroughly. My wife was pleased with her ramen noodles - I should have tried them for this review, but I forgot to. We don't do the sweet stuff, so I can't comment on it, nor did we order any drinks. The two of us got out for $33, including a 10% tip.

Ok place. Disappointed because we stopped by looking for rolled ice cream, which they don't have. They appear to had shifted their focus to poke bowls, ramen, and bubble tea and offer dipped ice cream as well, but only in 6 flavors. They were OK but clearly just bought from a food service vendor, not house made or anything. Run by a bunch of teenagers who didn't really care. Got our orders wrong, and blamed us. We won't be back.

Rolled ice cream and boba tea... sign me up! I'm a big fan of sweet cream mixed with strawberries, throw some bananas and marshmallows on top for added sweetness and my tastebuds are in heaven! Seriously though, give this place a try. You won't regret it.

Yummy ramen and boba tea right in Alcoa! A perfect lunch spot. It's small, with just a few tables and sparsely decorated, but the food was good. You place your order and pay on a computer kiosk without interacting with any staff. The menu was clear and I had no trouble navigating the system, but if someone was new to ramen, poke bowls, or boba, this would be a very intimidating situation with nobody to answer questions.

Medium taro milk tea with regular boba, 30% sugar

I'm so glad Maryville has a boba place and getting this milk tea delicacy isn't reserved for my trips to Atlanta or San Diego. You know they're an expert place when they offer adjustments on the amount of sweetness. I always get my signature order, medium taro milk tea with regular boba at 30% sweetness. The boba is freshly cooked, not undercooked. It's perfectly chewy. Decrease in sugar option allows me to focus on the light and pleasant taro flavor. Consistent performance in creating high quality milk tea orders at this location. They also offer rolled ice cream, but this item in general is not my preference, so I cannot speak to the quality of that item. Couple of tables outside and 1 table inside. I prefer to stop in and take the item to go.

Wish I wouldn't of waited to try this for so long, poke bowl was fresh and big portion. Many options to customize, boba was delicious too. Cute space. All ordering is done via a tablet

We absolutely loved our first poke bowls here. We will for sure be returning. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Can't wait to go back. It was also very well priced

The rolled ice cream is so good my favorite flavor is strawberry. It is a very calm environment. Definitely PD and staff is nice

So, I was curious if this would be a new top contender. To me, it's not quite as good as the other options. The beef bulgogi bowl was pretty good and the egg on top was nicely done. But, I'd rank the taste/flavor as not as good the Gogi Korean and Won Korean. Also, no banchan (Korean appetizers) like Gogi and less appealing interior atmosphere. There was a smell of rank cooking oil that seemed to permeate the dining area. That bothered me the whole meal and made it hard to enjoy the food. Also, comparing K-Pocha to competitors, it's more expensive. If I am paying more, I expect it to be better. Service was decent and prompt. So, no issues there. Just not my favorite place for Korean food. Overall: It's just ok.

The cheese pull on the fried rice was awesome and the cheese fries have that artificial cheese flavor in the best way possible (like a cheese curl or whale crackers). Overall a pretty great first visit for an adventurous eater! :D

He did a great job at making us feel like locals! He was attentive even though it was quite busy from people coming in from the parade. The arcade area was pretty cool. Each side had a bar, but only one was open at the time we went. We didn't get food, but it looked like they had some yummy options from what we saw get delivered to other tables. The music was good. The people were friendly as well. This is definitely a place we would return to if we come back in town!

I saw the ramen on the Yelp pictures and it spoke to me, so I walked in and ordered some. You have to stand in line at the bar to order your food so that took awhile, but the food came out pretty quick. I wasn't too impressed with the ramen, and I've had ramen all over the world. The broth was good, I enjoyed the spicy flavor. However, having tomatoes in the ramen was weird and I didn't enjoy that. My biggest complaint is there was very little meat in the ramen, like 2 small chunks of brisket. It seems like a great place to have drinks and hang out, but as far as the food it was meh to me.

I think the best thing on the menu as far as the sushios is what they call the Hall of Fame rule. It's basically a chef's choice you can give them your flavor profile like spicy / not spicy / no cream cheese, etc and they won't make it to your liking they'll also tell you exactly which fish was flown in and it's the freshest so you really can't go wrong. Staff is really really helpful and they have excellent bartenders that really understand how things pair with beer wine and alcohol. Speaking of alcohol if they have an excellent selection of Japanese whiskeys and we'll guide you to one that fits your flavor profile. Don't be afraid to ask questions and they will be glad to help you out The atmosphere is very hip but not so hip that it's uncomfortable if you want good conversation go sit at the bar area. But they also have boots and seating around the corner. Like all good sushi places they also have seats at the sushi counter all those those fill up fast so you might want to get there before the busy time which is roughly anywhere from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. they close a little bit later on the weekends at 10:00 p.m. so if you like a later evening experience they've got that vibe too. Don't sleep on the yakitori side of the menu either the Japanese street food is really really good. The chicken skewers and the pork belly are especially tasty especially with beer!

It came to the office in under 30 minutes, which was shockingly fast. I think I did opt to pay a little extra for the speedy delivery option. When it arrived, I hadn't even noticed my app pinging me. One of my co-workers just brought it in with him. The salmon was still cold and the salad was fresh and crisp. The standard flavors were perfect and I don't have to add any soy or other flavorings. Even the price was reasonable for the quality. I would highly recommend and will definitely come back.

Alright, alright, alright! We found a sushi spot near home -- finally!…read more I genuinely thought we'd tracked down every option in the area, but this one slipped right past me. Maybe "Poke Bowl" in the name threw off my searches -- who knows -- but I'm just glad it finally showed up. It's a small, tucked-away spot in the corner of a strip shopping center, easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Inside, there's a handful of small tables plus mostly counter service, but if you time it right, you can snag a seat at the sushi bar -- it holds maybe 8 to 10 people. And since we're firm believers that sushi night means service, that's exactly where Patrick steered us. He took great care of us all night: walking us through the restaurant's history, offering up solid suggestions, and turning out incredible sushi with genuinely great energy the whole time. Beer's the only drink option here, so if you're after a fancy date night with sake or craft cocktails, you'll want to head further into town. But for a laid-back night with a couple of cold ones, this place absolutely delivers. The sushi itself, though? Fresh, and every single piece was delicious. Honestly, I can't even remember everything we ordered -- most of it was Patrick asking what flavors we liked and just going for it, which is exactly how it should be done. One roll I do remember requesting was the Hardin Valley Roll, and it was a fantastic pick. We'll absolutely be back. And next time I'm craving sushi to go, this is who I'm calling -- no more grocery store sushi for me, ever again.
