I am so sorry that i chose ashley furniture. We bought in-store, a leather love seat and sofa set. Got a reasonable delivery date. When the day came, they brought 2 different color sofas. We refused one and kept one. We were told the right couch wouldnt be here until November. 2 days later, we got a call that magically the couch was in stock and would be here soon. Delivery day again, and its the same couch. The wrong color! I let ashley furniture know what happened and no call back. They have had enough time to get my furniture here. They had 2 chances and got it wrong both times. I was lucky enough to find a group on facebook called ASHLEY FURNITURE COMPLAINTS/ISSUES ADVOCACY AND RESOURCES. Come to find out that THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE have become victims of Ashley furniture. They send wrong items multiple times to customers, no customer service, no refunds, and no warranty coverage when you spend so much money on it, and receive B-goods. This is all done knowingly & on purpose to string you on to accept whatever they want to give. And They markup their prices 700% percent. I am appalled by them and their 'service'. Do yourself a favor and don't shop here unless you're ok with getting the worst customer care once they take your money. First off, you're not fully explained their store process. You should be informed that if you are not happy with your purchase you can not return or exchange. All sales are final. That was never explained until we had an issue with our bed and tied to exchange it for a different one. We were told we'd have to contact Tempurpedic directly. But the catch is your bed is not covered unless you buy a Tempurpedic base. All this should be explained considering the bed cost about $3800. So overall se've spent roughly $6000 at this location and we tried to exchange a $42 pillow because it was not a memory foam pillow like we asked for and we were denied. If I could give zero stars I would. It is very difficult to get some resolve w a large order I've placed recently. Seems as though each location is independently owned so if your location has dropped the ball there are no options left. That is very unfortunate. I purchased various furniture sets at the Valley Stream NY location. It was very tedious to make selections as many times I was told what I wanted was on back order. Our adviser Cory was a gem and had a great eye for what we described we were looking for though, So we revised or order many times to ensure that what we ordered would b available to ship. Then we were told that they only serviced our area for delivery once a month; that they could not accommodate us w any other day. This was disappointing as we do not currently live in the home and would b traveling out of state to receive the order but strapped with options I requested for the delivery to be made later in the day. My adviser emailed the delivery warehouse asking if that would be possible and we were told that delivery would b made from 12-4. I was in agreement with that. 2 days prior to delivery I received appointment confirmation text, email and calls that stated delivery was set for 7am. That was not what was promised and would not be possible for me. I called to rectify the error and was given various conflicting information. I Was asked if they could contact me later after looking deeper into it. I was called hours later, and told that there must have been miscommunication between the warehouse and the store somewhere and that they were able to get the warehouse to arrange delivery for 10-2 and that was the best they could do. Again, disappointing but I made adjustments to make myself available. On the day of delivery, today, no one arrived. I called to find out answers and was told my delivery was canceled for an unknown reason. They refuse to provide answers. they did not know when redelivery would be made. Ive been told to go back to the store where I made the order, which again is a matter of inconvenience for me. It's disgusting that after spending thousands it is I the customer who is having to constantly accommodate the company. And track down answers and communication. I've been understanding, flexible, and went great lengths to have my own needs met. But I am being met with disorganization, unprofessionalism, nonchalance, and blatant disregard. This is for the ASHLEY HOMESTORE Valley stream location and their disgraceful sales rep. Michael Mjitarian. I went to the store on 3/4/18 ready to make a purchase and pay the same day when Michael suggested to use PROGRESSIVE LEASING (a financing company they deal with) and if I pay if off in 3 months all I have to pay is $479.99. This was the same amount that was on my receipt. Sound like a plan at the time. However; when I called PROGRESSIVE LEASING today, I was told my balance is $522.59. I was so upset because I paid 49.99 + tax which came to $53.35 initially, which I was informed by Michael that it would be deducted from the $479.99. Less than one star is the best rating for this store. My husband and I walked into this store and I am disappointed I didn't check the Yelp reviews before even wasting my time. We just recently bought a home and are in need of all furniture. We walked in and were immediately harassed by Michael or Mike. Who followed us throughout the store and not once did he check on what furniture we liked but instead insisted on us financing how in the world does that work I don't even know what furniture I want to purchase but mike was trying to convince us to finance. He then got another employee Lindsey to "help" us as she was the decorating specialist or something. I recently closed on a home and needed to furnish the whole home 3 bedrooms and a dining room I spent 3 hours there picking out the whole set up. I dealt with***LINDA G** there who kept disappearing I think she was the only spanish speaking person there. I was very upfront and told her that I had a budget of $10k I wanted to spent in total and I made a couple of adjustments to stay within the price range after all is said and done she attempted to add about 2k work ridiculous fees you HAD to get *(not true)* in order to get a discount *(which never happened or was applied)* I thanked her for her time and proceed to leave she said she will speak to her manager and see what could be done and all the sudden fees where all dropped except the shipping. I was lied to on every level from the sales people to the delivery person to customer care if you are not satisfied with your delivery I suggest you refuse the entire order and start over I only have 3 of my 4 pieces because the driver told me I have 30 days even after I told him receipt said NO REFUNDS he refused to allow me the opportunity to choose the pieces that worked for my room and never brought the 4th price in because he said it's not going to fit.(they were running late do to heavy traffic they were 3 hours late getting to me) because sales person told me if it doesn't fit I could refuse. Never again will I purchase a piece of furniture from this company. I needed a nice couch and decided to check out this location as it is convenient. I should've checked out the yelp reviews prior to coming because it was the longest ordeal of my life! I went in on a Thursday and was sold a couch by Mike G. He informed us that he was doing a price match and as the customer you would think the price match was accurate. When I got home that evening, I noticed the price match was over $100 cheaper. I immediately text Mike G and brought it to his attention, as the couch was scheduled to be delivered the next day. Mike assures me that he would speak to his manager and get back to me regarding the price match which in my opinion would be a no brainer to process right? WRONG! I didn't hear from Mike the next day or the weekend. Monday I politely sent him a text asking about the price match in which I received no response. I called Ashley Customer Service and informed them of my issue in which out the blue I receive a text from him apologizing about not getting back to me, that his manager was out the office and he would see what could be done. In my mind I'm thinking, so you expect me to believe that there was no store manager for five days? Anyway, he proceeds to tell me that he is unsure if he could honor the price match due to the furniture having been already delivered. That's when I hit him with the fact that I informed him prior to delivery of the correct price match and that if he couldn't honor it prior to delivery, I would've surely canceled my order! That's when he said to give him until the morning of the next day. The next morning I heard nothing again and had to call Ashley Furniture customer service. They connected me to the store and he answers. I requested to speak to a manager and then he places me on hold and states that the manager stated that they would honor the price match and to give it 24 hours. He even asked me to email him the picture of the price match again, which I did. I waited a few days and still the issue was not rectified. That's when I called Ashley Furniture customer service again and informed them that I am getting the run around. They connected me to a manager who stated that she saw nothing on my file about a price match correction on his end. She stated I could come in the following day to have a meeting with him and the store manager. I'm thinking why am I taking time out my schedule to do this, but I showed up and Mike G was MIA. Spoke to a store manager named Janelle who stated that she wasn't aware initially of the issue. So either Mike G never told her or she was covering for him. Either way I pulled up the receipts of the text message thread because she was under the impression that I informed Mike G the day of delivery. NOPE wrong again..and hmmm I thought you weren't aware of the issue? Eventually she changed the amount to reflect price match, but wow to go through all that drama is not worth it. Don't shop here. I had a wonderful experience at the valley stream location. Kendrick was the sales person who helped me as soon as I walked through the door. We tried raymour and flannegans first but they didn't have what we wanted and the sales staff was off somewhere else while we were shopping. We were pretty set on the style and color for the bedroom set we wanted and Kendrick was wonderful and not pushy. He showed us countless options until we found what we were looking for. He sat us down while we waited for the finance department to crunch the numbers and showed us all the options and which one worked great for us. During this COVID - 19 pandemic arising now all the stores were closed down and it was particularly difficult to reach an agent about my furniture delivery. I contacted Kendrick and he helped my step by step to push the delivery to an earlier date and it went off without a hitch. 5 stars. Would recommend. The worst experience ever. I spent over 8 thousand dollars at this location. My furniture was delivered a day 3 days late. The front desk did not input my building restrictions even though I told them about it. The store manager Justin (he likes to call himself the regional manager) is an unprofessional ass!! Who changed the price of my furniture numerous times. Then after I lost two days of work, finally got my furniture delivered I came back to the store to seek some sort of compensation.. Justin the store manager told me he can't do anything for me because he gave me a substantial discount so that should cover my losses. Omg what the heck is that!!!? Then he tells me he refunded me the $200 delivery charge the week before when I first experienced the issue but no one at the store contacted me.. It has been well over two months since I purchased loads of furniture at the location in Valley Stream with Jerry, the "manager" for a new home I purchased. Fast forward to move in week and realized a piece of furniture, a recliner, we purchased doesn't fit in our home. We tried to get a refund on the furniture and were told that they can only do exchanges, fine! We decide to go for an accent mirror and some benches. Fast forward to nearly a month and we are just being told that our mirror cannot be delivered to us because THEY had the WRONG address on file AFTER we have changed it with EVERY SINGLE PERSON we have spoken to on more than 10 different accounts. I have spoken to a Tanya, Lauren, Wendy, Ebony.. you name it. I have even gotten the number to the Director of Home Stores, Marie Nyon and to no avail; she won't even return a phone call back! All for them to deliver a MIRROR and swap the other piece of furniture out. This has been a roller coaster ride of emotional distress, pain and suffering, missed days of work, etc. There should be no reason that it is this HARD for a well-known company to not get it right! The only time where they can work with you is when you are ready to SWIPE a credit card. I visited your Valley Stream store on Saturday, 2/17 and was greeted by a salesperson named Valerie. She seemed to be very nice initially, but as the sale went on she became very pushy and rude. We had walked in with a table that we had seen in mind, but apparently what we wanted was of no interest of hers. As soon as we walked in she took us to one of the higher priced tables. My friend and I had told her that we weren't looking to spend too much because we were roommates and our living arrangements weren't permanent. She continued to show us other tables in the same price range and suggested that whoever would take the table when my friend and I part ways should just pay for the whole thing. Once again, we explained to her that we were looking for something on the lower end. She then showed us a 5 piece dining set by the name Frostberry, or something down those lines. My friend had expressed that she didn't like the table and preferred the Kimonte set. Valerie then went to "speak to her manager" and came back and said I can give you the other set or $377 instead of $419. We once again repeated that we did not like the table and asked if she can make something work for the set that we had wanted. She told us no, and when I asked why she said it was because she was able to discount the instore price for the Frostberry set and couldn't discount online pricing and refused to tell us what the in store price would be for the Kimonte. However, neither of the sets were available in store so I'm not exactly sure how she was able to figure out an in store price for the set that we didn't want and was unable to find an in store price for the set that we'd wanted. It seemed more like she was trying to push the table on us opposed to looking out for our best interest. She then told us that we had to pay $80 for shipping which we didn't agree to because if we'd ordered online, then the shipping would be free. She proceeded to tell us that online shipping was not free although I had the table pulled up on my phone, and had previously purchased my bed online and received free delivery. I expressed that I was not ok paying for shipping in store when I can receive my item free if I'd ordered it online. Valerie instantly began to challenge me saying that the free shipping must have been a promotion and that I wouldn't know how to level dining room chairs had I put it together myself. My friend and I then asked to speak to a manager because we began to lose confidence in the things she was saying. Instead of actually getting a manager she (very rudely) said "Why?" After questioning us for wanting to speak to the manager it became very clear that she was not being honest about many things throughout the sale. She had given my friend and I "time to think" but when she came back we weren't quite ready. Clearly frustrated, she said' "listen pay the $444 and be done." If my friend had not been frustrated that we were living in a new apartment with very little furniture, we would have very well walked out. I am disgusted with her lack of professionalism and unwillingness to take heed to our interests. In addition to our terrible customer service experience, we had a terrible delivery experience as well. Our table was scheduled to be delivered between today 2/22 between 12 and 4 PM. At 1:00 PM, we called customer service to get an update on where the driver was, and at first they didn't want to give us much info and said it's scheduled between 12PM and 4PM. When they realized that we were trying to get a more detailed answer, they finally told us that our delivery was now going to be at 4:30 PM because the driver was in Brooklyn at another customer's house. At 4:30, we still had no update and the driver still had not arrived, so we called again. After an extensive wait, we were told that our delivery was rescheduled to 6:30 PM because the driver was still at the Brooklyn location. I'm not sure what the other customers had ordered but 5 hours in one location seems a bit extreme to me, especially when it took the delivery guys about 15 minutes to out my 5 piece dining set together. Not only did I have to take a day off of work because I expected a delivery before 4 PM, but I also had to make arrangements for someone to pick my niece up from school because the driver didn't arrive until about 6PM. read more
