There are not enough stars for Ashley Medical. I know Ashley Medical has devices for humans but they also have help for your pets. I ordered an oxygen concentrator online for my dog who is currently in the hospital with severe respiratory distress. The online company had concentrators but no cages. I ordered the concentrator in hopes I could find something makeshift until they had them in stock. The Veterinary Specialty Hospital told me I could try Ashley Medical that they had some pet items. I was so surprised and grateful that they had the dog oxygen cage I needed. Not only did she bring out the cage, she brought out a concentrator similar to the one I purchased and showed me the ins and outs and exactly how to use it. When I got home I realized the other company had not sent the right adapters to work with the cage "because I didn't buy a cage"... They could have told me what I needed but they didn't :(. I immediately called Ashley Medical back and she calculated exactly what I needed and got it to me immediately. They have several dogs and are so loving and compassionate towards animals. I am so so grateful I was able to find this place but even more grateful for the owners. In a time of extreme stress they were there and just took over the situation, educated me, and I left feeling so confident about my ability to care for my pup. I rarely receive personalized service like Carol at Ashley Medical provided! She went out of her way to meet my disabled mom outside her building (as mom cant walk). She provided product options, did the transaction and even called several vendors to get a transformer we were missing from her bipap machine. She was readily available when mom had questions, and VERY patient dealing with older, disabled people. I will refer all my friends to Ashley Medical. Most wonderful place in San Diego! I was visiting San Diego from North Carolina and didn't realize I had forgotten a part to my CPAP at home, I looked up medical supply companies and Ashley Medical popped up so off I went. Unfortunately they did not carry the exact mask I use so I thought I was out of luck. To my amazement the nice lady assisting me was able to find a display model that had the part I needed and she gave it to me free of charge! Stopped in today to see if there was a way to modify the wheelchair I have a short term need for. I had to stay in the car while my bf went in for me so I didn't catch the lady's name. I can tell you when she came out to the car to ad the leg extension I needed she was awesome! She explained not only how to add, remove and adjust it, but also how to properly lift the wheelchair and how to sit in a different way to help my back and butt. This was so helpful. Being thrown into a painful situation with no experience at all with injuries and aftercare has been such a strain. Thanks for all your advice! read more

Kindness is the most powerful currency. During days of COVID19, it is even more obvious. I spent three hours trying to figure out how to get my CPAP machine fixed on the phone. I am not from San Diego but like musical chairs, I found myself here when we were all told to Stay in Place. I thought, "let me see if anyone local can help me." I'm so happy we picked this place when we were looking for wheelchair rentals (we had family in town, including 2 grandparents who needed wheelchairs during their stay). We've never used a place like this, so we had to start with a blind search for a place to use. From our initial phone call through the return of the wheelchairs, this was as pleasant of a transaction as you could ask for. At pickup, one person wrote up the slip while the other one helped load the chairs into my car. Drop-off was also quick and easy, and the wheelchairs themselves worked just fine. On 9/8/2014 I rented a wheelchair, paid by credit card $81.00 for one month; only needed the wheelchair till 9/23/2014. Returned the wheelchair on the above date together with my Nurse, at which time Carol took the chair & I gave her my Invoice copy (A mistake) & today I received a call that it is time to return the wheelchair. They seem to be terribly un- organized. The last thing the gal said who called me: I will look for the chair! Today is 10/22/2014. Also they do not honor Medicare! i needed a machine for my sister apparently the Doctor prescribed a machine that doesn't exist, after going to the doctor for another prescription and getting the right one they decline the order. what kind of company decides to decline a order because a doctor prescribe the wrong machine? I explained them how important it is this respiratory machine for my sister but Carol didn't care. my sister is flying out in a few hours and now we don't have the machine she needs because Carol couldn't see that it was a doctors mistake and we have a new prescription from the same doctor. WOW! What a wonderful experience I have had with Ashley Medical. My husband and I were in desperate need to receive our oxygen tank for our dog. It was after hours and we were out. We called and spoke to Carol and Susan about the situation; and they had met us at their business of operation to give our dog his tank of oxygen. Rented a scooter for one week while my mother was visiting from the East coast. The ladies I dealt with were terrific; very nice and helpful. They patiently walked us through how to use the scooter and made sure we knew how to disassemble/reassemble so it could easily be put it in and out of the car.
