I purchased an electric chair from them & was not old about the return policy- i am a stroke survivor of 40 yrs & they had me sign papers but did not mention final sale. I took it home & I did not feel safe on it. I came back the next day to return it. That's when the owner Azhar told me if I would of brought it back in 3 hrs then would or taken it back but since I took it home to test it. He would not take it back. I would of return it in 3 hours if i knew of the 3 hrs before purchasing it but I did not have a ride until the next day. I think this company is being unreasonable and I feel taken advantage of. read more

Informative, courteous, incredibly professional. I came here to pick up medical equipment for my condition and the stuff were very professional in their conduct with me. They invited me to sit down so we could have a conversation about my equipment, outlining its usage and maintenance in a clear and accessible manner, and even mentioning things I should look out for, when to get replacement parts and how to acquire them. They even offered help in the capacity as being available as a resource and leaving the door open either in person or over the phone if I had further questions and concerns at any point. This company decided to stop billing insurance. Rather than call the patient, they called the doctor on an old referral--a doctor I no longer see for a monthly medical need--so my new doctor wasn't aware I needed a new prescription and neither was I. I've now spent 3 months scrambling to find a supplier who bills insurance. I'm beside myself. I cannot believe they didn't contact me--but chose instead to leave a message with a doctor who hasn't seen me in more than 2 years. My new doctor hasn't been able to find a company who bills insurance for this critical need. This company should be formally cited and fined for patient abandonment. My aunt broke her foot and needed a boot as soon as possible. We called another supply store and they told us that they would take from three hours to three weeks to help and that they would call us. So our doctor recommended this place stating it has helped previous patients. The staff was nice. They didn't charge us a dime and billed insurance and my aunt had her boot right away as needed. Advance Medical Supply was wonderful in delivering and setting up a hospital bed within a day of contacting them. They took time to make sure I knew how to work it and answered any questions I had. When it was time to return the bed, they were out within an hour to disassemble and remove it. I will NOT use this company ever again. Poor service & deceptive sales. Said they don't "repair" anything, only adjustments and not wiling to pickup or go onsite like they claim. They looked up the sales info on original purchase and said I could bring it in. Get there and they said a nut came loose and is missing and out of warranty (was NOT told out of warranty over the phone). $20 for a .20 cent nut after getting me there first. I had issues with them not delivering the original purchase (even tho they get paid to do this and promise to deliver) and had to pick it up myself then. I should have seen the red flags. To whom it may concern...I am writing this Review to let people know that Advanced Medical Supply is the most Incompetent and Frustrating Motorized Wheelchair Vendor for a Disabled Person in need of Liberty, Freedom and just Joy should turn to. I've been waiting for my Chair for Months. It's gotten so bad that I had to Request another Employee to be Present when I finally receive it!!!! The icing on the cake is when I called to ask if an Employee could please email me Pictures of my Chair Today just to Ensure that my waiting in vain for 6 months was coming to an end... Said Employee stated "DON'T YOU HAVE A MANUAL, ALL YOUR CHAIR NEEDED WAS THE FOOT RESTS." Suffice to say I am thinking "Thanks for that Tidbit of Information you just Spilled about just how Unprofessional and Inconsiderate you are to the Plight of the Disabled. My partner's walker had a really loose wheel that needed to be replaced. When I called, they said come in anytime in the morning to fix it! They were seriously so kind and quick. Took them 5 days to even process my order and it's been 4 weeks and still have not heard from them on when we can expect the wheel chair or crutches. Incompetent, unethical, and unprofessional. I wish I could rate this place zero stars!! I have spent over 6 months trying to get my wheelchair from them, and it has been NOTHING but mistakes & false promises to fix those mistakes. first, it took 3 1/2 months to get a manual wheelchair. Why?? I wasn't given any choice other than the finish of my wheelchair; every choice was decided for me "based on my needs". Long story short, my wheelchair is way too HUGE (I can't even fit through doorways - it's like 5 inches too wide). It also came assembled incorrectly with the arms on backwards, a wheel loose, no seatbelt, and my left caster wheel stuck permanently hovering above the ground (instead of stabilizing me). Also, I was given Smart Drive technology to move because I can't self-propel. Azar (the manager) tested my smart drive and told me *I* was doing it wrong.. Flash forward to 3 months later when a smart drive brand rep comes out & explains to me that Advance Medical has incorrectly programmed the system, and blamed me for it. For months. Lastly, after all this, I was promised that Azar would come out to personally assess the problems with my chair (& fix them), but he never showed or called to reschedule. Instead, he failed to even tell his staff that he had made that promise to me, so they sent someone who barely spoke English & could not help me with my particular problems anyway. This place has prevented me from access to my community for over half of a year. They are ruining my quality of life, and they offer no actual resolution to any of the problems they created. Every step of the process has been a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else! read more

AMAZING SERVICE! My 91-year old father fell and was in pain so we needed an arm sling ASAP. We were referred to this place by the pharmacist Bassam in Dr Dominguez's building and we're so glad to find it. Not only did they bill the insurance quickly but they fit (Azar) my dad in the sling properly and showed us how to do it, something I could not have figured out on my own. We needed several home care items very quickly. I was able to call, then walk in to the store and was met with great service. We also needed to rent a hospital bed. They set up delivery for the day after I ordered it and came to the house and set everything up and then gave us instructions on how to use the equipment. We actually had a PTherapist visiting at the same time and the installer worked around that schedule, waiting patiently, then working efficiently. I was told yesterday that I would be able to have a wheelchair delivered today or that I could pick it up the same day. Since my daughter was trying to get back to school as soon as possible post surgery, I elected to go pick it up. Upon arrival, I was told that the technician was out so the chair would be delivered the next day. There was a slight chance of being delivered later in the day (yesterday), but that they would call and let me know regardless. No phone call, no wheelchair. I don't know where my insurance is getting these companies from. First place I was sent was no longer in business!! read more

Bianca explained all the hospital bed 'types' available to us that we'll use after knee surgery, and got us the bed we needed in time, even coming from another state overnight. Azhor was prompt, knowledgeable and considerate when delivering and installing the bed. He took the time to fully explain the operation of the equipment, and was a kind man. Avoid this company at all cost. I am wheelchair bound and have been referred by my doctor to this company for wheelchair parts and fixtures for its proximity to my home I suppose. Everything takes so long to process and move along. It has been a week since a tech came out to evaluate my wc and still no report has been submitted to my insurances for approval. I call and they let me know the tech might have to come out again because they don't have record of him coming out. It's very frustrating all of this, for a person who relies on their wheelchair being mobile for everyday life activities. One time I came in hoping they could quickly adjust the spokes in my wheels because they were loose. The tech said he had no tools and that I would have to go thru insurance. Really, no tools! I couldn't recommend Advanced Medical Supply in La Mesa enough!! Everyone we spoke to was absolutely wonderful. My grandfather had hip surgery and requested a trapeze bar at home to help him in bed. I called them around noon to see what was available and by 4pm it was already delivered and installed (for no extra cost)! For certain items they offer a rental option which is great if you want to test something out before you buy it in full. The man who installed the bar was incredibly helpful and even offered to come back if we ever need to adjust the trapeze bar or switch it out for a heavy duty model. Just had knee replacement surgery. My Work Comp denied a CPM machine. I called one other place and they wanted $308 for.a 21 day rental. When they where advertised online for $16/day but they didn't say there was a min when I wanted 2 weeks. ADVaNCed Medical supply where nice and friendly, I saw on the website $140 for two or three weeks? They said $140 for either and they could deliver that night. I was in pain and he was gentle, patient and nice setting me up on the machine. And they also didn't ask for a $500 deposit. Great Company!!! Followed up two days later to see how they machine was working. I will recommend them to everyone. read more

I needed a hospital bed for my mother who what having a very hard time getting in and out of bed. We worked with her doctor for a prescription, who then pointed us to Advance Medical Supply. The office staff (Blanca in particular), was so incredibly helpful. She helped us find the right option and all the accessories that we needed. We did this all over the phone, and within 2 days had everything delivered and set up in the home. The installation guys were fantastic as well. They even helped us move the old bed out to the garage. We needed a few minor tweaks with the bed, and the installers came back out right away both times and got everything sorted.
