Unfortunately, my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed and I will not be returning. I arrived about 8 minutes late due to traffic, but I was promptly seated and the technician began removing the gel from my nails. A few minutes into my service, the owner--who had originally seated me--asked me to get up so another woman (who had come in after me) could take my seat. When I asked why, I was told it was "because of the vent." However, the new customer was getting the exact same gel manicure I was receiving, so the excuse made little sense. To add insult to injury, I was told to move to a station cluttered with junk and visibly less prepared. The entire situation felt dismissive, disrespectful, and quite frankly, racially charged. I'm usually the only Black woman in the salon, and the favoritism shown to another customer--who arrived later--was hard to ignore. While I would never return to Sun Nails after this experience, I'm grateful it led me to BLANC Nail Boutique, a new spot with immaculate service, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-tier professionalism. I had never had a deep cleanse facial before, and Gabriela was so great. She warned me before any painful parts, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I have super sensitive skin, so she was very mindful to use products that would minimize inflammation. My skin looked flawless the next week for my wedding! I also had a wonderful experience with Daisy, my mani/ pedi technician. It was so easy to work with her! I was an acrylic nail newbie, and she helped transform my awful nails into the perfect, bridal French manicure! They place gloves on your hands to block UV rays which is a plus :). The pedicures here are great as well. This is a small nail salon usually only two workers so I would recommend calling ahead to make an appointment (they do accept walk ins but will turn people away if they are booked with appts). Overall I love coming here the employees are nice and it's a very calm and relaxed environment.
