When we got to Jackson Furniture Outlet the first thing we noticed was how courteous the staff was. We got the couch we wanted and didn't even hear how we should go with a more expensive one. We knew what we wanted and they let us get that. They were great and let us look around instead of bothering us trying to get a sale. When I needed help though the employees were there to help. They do deliver to your house and will install the patio set as well. Delivery for our two table and two gliders would be $120. It's almost $2,200 for two glider single chairs and a small table for composite plastic chairs. I decided to think about the purchase some more, as it feels like a good amount of change for two plastic chairs and a small plastic table, fundamentally.

We shopped around after finding a new work coat for him, and I even found a coat that I decided to buy. The store really does have everything, and it is clean and easy to navigate. We also got some dog toys for much cheaper than we are able to get by us in the Detroit area. The best part was that we got all the way home before I looked at my receipt and realized the jacket I bought rung up for $10 more than the price on the tag. Since we don't have a store by us, I emailed and sent pictures of the receipt and tags to see if there was anything they can do. I quickly received a response, and today I received a $10 check in the mail from the store! I was not expecting that quick of a response and a company to make good on the issue even without being in person. We will definitely stop back in next time we are in the area to support a business that seems to care about their customers and their customer's money.

Walked around for a few minutes wondering if maybe they were on an end cap, when a very polite young man named Nolan saw me and very calmly asked if I needed some help. I told him what I was looking for and he voluntarily went over to check the shelves himself. When he didn't see it he grabbed a manager and they went to find it for me in the back. They did all this without making me feel awkward or anything. Outstanding customer service, and I highly recommend.

I came in with my partner who is black (I believe this is unfortunately a relevant detail). He was looking for a couch for his apartment. We were minding our business looking at couches and sitting on them to see how comfortable they were. After about five minutes the same man approached us and told us we couldn't sit on the furniture. We respected what the man said and didn't sit on any more couches. Well, when we came back around to the front of the store we saw at least 10 other (white) people including adults, children, and teens not only sitting on the couches/chairs, but also spinning around in them, and having their shoes on them. The gentleman was right there and said not a word to anyone else about not sitting on the furniture. There were also no signs that we saw that said anything about not sitting on the furniture. Apparently that was only a rule for us. When we crossed paths with the man my partner said "so we're not allowed to sit on the furniture?" And the man responded with some snarky comment about how we weren't going to buy anything anyways. In that moment, it was clear he knew he was wrong for singling us out. Can't help but feel like this was a race issue. My partner and I were being very respectful of the store and the furniture. We weren't laying down on the couches, we didn't have our shoes on them, and we had clean clothes on. We were simply sitting on the couches to see how comfortable they were (pretty typical in a furniture store). There is absolutely no valid reason I can think of that would warrant us being the only ones told we weren't allowed to sit on couches. Safe to say we will definitely not be purchasing anything from this store or even returning again. Shame on you.

Not only the was furniture perfect, but the two deliveries were handled beautifully. In addition, I have a lot of Stickley pieces and needed to match the Stickley Onondaga stain. The Stickley furniture is White Oak, and the Shipshewana pieces are Cherry. I was able to match Onondaga stain perfectly. A day doesn't go by that we don't comment about how beautiful the interior of our home looks. I couldn't be happier with Shipshewana Furniture or with the quality of Amish made furniture.
