She allowed us to peruse the store at our own pace and focus on our choices while she kept track of our items as we added and deleted them. She was very, very pleasant throughout the experience. Our first visit lasted for hours, and she never once rushed us but encouraged us to take our time. We even had to take a break to eat, and she encouraged us to relax and not worry. We had time to think through our choices and feel confident with our decisions. She reviewed all of the details with us before any payment was made. She was like dealing with Nordstrom's quality service, and she continued to follow up well beyond our in-store shopping. I received an email stating my couch and ottoman would be delivered the 4 week in September. I called at the end of that week to see when my order would be delivered. They said someone would call me to schedule. My order was delivered Oct 1st. Only it was just 1/2 a couch. I received a text from their distribution center saying they had a new scheduler and didn't know it wasn't a whole order. Then he said my order wasn't there yet. He didn't know when he could schedule the rest of the order. He offered a $100 gift card. I said I just want my order. I called corporate and asked to speak to a supervisor and more excuses. Plus, the offer of $100 gift card. I spent over $4,000 on furniture and all in have is 1/2 a couch. With no idea if or when i will get the rest! read more

Damaged swivel chair was delivered and the delivery team stated they would send photos of damaged item and assure us that it would be fixed or replaced. A nice gentleman showed up today to fix the rip and puncture in the leather chair. The chair was stripped and he still couldn't get to the inside to take off the entire leather covering. The padding was ripped as well as the cushion While he was attempting to remove the leather. I spoke to customer service who gave me the scripted response that meant they weren't replacing the chair. Plus I couldn't reach the store to discuss because all numbers went to a corp office. The chair was taken away to see "IF" they can fix it. Do NOT buy from Ashley. We've purchased from various other stores with no problem. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

We moved to Hardeeville recently. Prior to moving we decided to order furniture from Ashley furniture in Okatie. I was put in touch with Alicia who helped me understand best time to make our choices so we would have our furniture shortly after moving in. She was extremely helpful and patient when I needed to make changes. We have been in to the store for a few more items since then, and have always had a great experience with whom ever has helped us. Buyer beware! I spent over $4,000 on a bedroom set. The set was delivered and set up by Ashley. Every single piece of furniture was damaged- badly. The bed was missing all the slats needed to place the mattress on top of it. The drawers underneath the bed do not even close. The people setting up the bed either did not care, or had no idea what they were doing. They tried hiding things before they left- quickly. They cracked the bed frame and just left it. We tried calling the technician back right after they left but they would not answer the phone. We called Ashley furniture and they said they would try to get a hold of them, but to no avail. They said we would get called back within 2 to 3 days. I even went back to the store a handful of times. I did not hear back from them until 3 days later, and Crystal left me a vm but didn't call me back. I am beyond disgusted with Ashley furniture customer service and lack of quality with their furniture and delivery set up. They don't seem to want to make it right. I'm 68 years old - this was the WORST furniture delivery experience I have ever had. If you could leave a - review I would. I bought a dining set at this store - they did not have in store or warehouse-it had to be ordered. I had to pay an additional $179.00 for "white glove assembly and delivery". After 2 weeks I received a call from the Savannah warehouse that my furniture had arrived and to schedule delivery. I was given a delivery date of Tuesday, Sep 2 between 11:30 and 2:30. I received 4 different texts confirming this date and time, including at 9:00 on the morning of the delivery. We don't live in the condo full time and it takes an hour and a half to get there so I left heading that way at 9:25 - at 9:32 I received a text saying that they would be be there in 20 minutes? I called the warehouse and told them that no one would be there at that time since it was not our scheduled time. She said okay - she would let the driver know. My husband and I both tried several times to contact the store where purchased but couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. Meantime - I get a call from the driver telling me he's there and no one's home. I explained the situation to the driver telling him the situation-his response was that wasn't the way they loaded the truck. No offer to come back at the scheduled time, nothing. I told him I would call him back and called my husband-he was able to get in touch with the cooperate office and let them know what was going on. They assured him they would take care of it. Meantime I have received 2 more calls from the driver wanting to know when I could be there. I told him I would be there by the scheduled appointment time (Meanwhile I'm speeding down back country roads trying to get there). A few minutes later I get a call from the Condo Manager saying the delivery driver was in her office wanting her to let them in! I called the warehouse again and was assured that the driver would be there when I got there. I arrived at 11:24 and they were no where in sight. My husband called corporate office again and was told they would be turned around and be right back. At 2:27 they showed up, threw the furniture in place, shoved a thing at me to sign and left. No sorry or anything - they didn't speak. I normally tip delivery people but not these people. We have yet to hear anything from Ashley Furniture about this mess. My suggestion is to shop elsewhere unless they have it in stock at store and you have a truck to take it home yourself. Really, really bad customer service. read more

I needed a guest bed and stopped in at Ashley in Bluffton, SC as I have a home in Sun City. Met with salesman Daniel who is also a manager. He showed me the options and I was impressed with the selection and free delivery. Found the bed I needed and bought an awesome mattress pad to go with it. I understand that businesses are having support issues. We ordered furniture and were told it would be 3 to 6 months. 4 months rolled around I called to get an estimate was told it was going to be 6 months. That came and went, told it would be 2 more weeks, called again 2 more weeks. Then I was told it would ship at the end of the month. 11 days past the end of the month , I called and was told production would be next year. Not once during the last 8 months did anyone from Ashley have the courtesy to call me and let me know what was going on. And when I called them and they did gave me information it was false information. They strung me along for over 8 months holding my money. I cancelled the order. Don't believe it when they say 3 to 6 months. And don't expect anyone to give you a coutesy call when your furniture isn't going to show. read more

Buyer beware with Ashley Furniture- we had two problems with a twin and queen headboard and mattress set. The furniture was delivered in Sept. 2022. 1) When the the furniture was delivered the delivery person could not assemble the beds because they were not provided the hardware kit that comes with each headboard. He said it would be mailed to me and then to call back to schedule installation. After a couple of weeks I called Ashley to ask on the status of the hardware kits and found out it would not be available until Dec. A couple of days later they sent a hardware kit to my house for one of the beds but the bolts were too short and it had missing parts. Multiple phone calls to Ashley and speaking to a Manager resulted in an installer arriving with 8 bolts, some washers and 7 nuts. When the installer installed the bolts in queen bed rails the holes in the headboard did not line up, so the queen headboard was 1/2 inch off the floor. The nuts on all the bolts were not tightened and one bolt did not have a nut on it. This installation was incomplete and unacceptable. 2) Both headboards had paint damage and require touch-up/repair. We're in the process of scheduling a tech to address that, we'll see how that goes. I would not recommend buying from Ashley Furniture. Quality of the furniture was poor and the debacle of not having the hardware to assemble the furniture is unacceptable, why would Ashley schedule delivery if they don't have all the parts to assemble it? These are simple nuts and bolts that you can buy at any hardware store, why can't Ashley provide them to assemble the furniture? read more

My husband and I purchased a bedroom set from here back in November of 2021. It was projected to arrive in the first week of December. From there they have continued to push back the dates of arrival every single month. And are now saying our projected date of arrival is May. When we purchased our bedroom set, our sales associate looked up the stock number on their system and stated that we were guaranteed our set to arrive within 3-4 weeks because it was in stock. Every time we call call to ask for updates, they are unable to provide any kind of tracking, they are unable to give any substantiating reasoning for why it's been pushed back, and offer no resolution. Might I also add, we have already paid in full the day we purchased. And no solutions have been offered. We will be cancelling our order. We wont be returning here. read more

Service is ok when you are buying. Afterwards they are completely helpless and of no assistance. We have waited for our sofa for 12 weeks and each time we call they move the date our sofa ships from the manufacturer further out. The staff will not try to assist you in understanding why the ship date keeps getting pushed out or hep you get in touch with someone who could help. I understand that there are long wait times for furniture right now; however when there are delays they should notify you. Instead, you have to call weeks after your furniture was supposed to ship just to fond out that they keep pushing it out 2-4 weeks at a time. We ordered a new sectional due to the fact that we had a baby on the way and wanted something more comfortable. We ordered July 17 2021 and explained that we would be influenced by length of time it took for our couch to come in. We ordered a couch that was expected to be 7-10weeks. We paid IN FULL and waited till the 10 week dead line. We called and were told our couch was going to be delayed another month! Upset, we still have kept our order. We were told second week of November and called today and are now being told December 21st! We're hosting Christmas at our home and our couch REALISTICALLY will not be here. Absolutely infuriating! My husband and I came into Ashley's today set on searching for a living room set. I'm very picky and came prepared with specific details we were looking for. Kyle was our salesperson and was very helpful and patient with us. He recommended a set that we ended up purchasing. He also took the time to carry a coffee table from one part of the store to the couches for a viewing, which we also ended up purchasing. Run, Run, Run!!! We bought two end tables in March of 2021. They were not delivered until January 28 of 2022. I was told October 1, then November, then January. Once we received the tables there were initially no issues. Then around June we noticed little piles of dust under the tables as we were cleaning. We then took to the internet to see what it could possibly be. We came to the conclusion it was post beetle bugs. They are similar to termites and will eat and destroy the wood. We called Ashley and told them the situation which they replied that it was not a manufacturing problem and would do nothing to help resolve the situation. More over they demanded we pay for the useless product. PLEASE SHOP ANYWHERE BUT ASHLEY THEY SUCK. read more

This has by far the worst experience I have had buying anything. The only good part about our purchase was our sales associate. We ordered our furniture in the first week of October and we were told we had to wait until November 19th and that was fine. Our delivery date came around but no furniture was delivered. So we called and they told us our date was moved to anywhere between the 20-26th. We said okay, and by the 26.... Still no furniture or call as to where it was. This has gone on for almost a month and a half and we have yet to receive all of the pieces of our set. It's safe to say I will not be buying anything from Ashley furniture in the future. The worst store ever. I've bought a lot of furniture in my day and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. My salesman was fantastic but I bought it on November 26 2019, they gave me delivery date from 1/30-2/7, thought that was crazy but wasn't in that much of a rush. Get a call a week before the 30th and was told it was now going to be between 2/17-2/23. I canceled my order. The place is now closing, they claim their moving, don't buy it and everything is like 75% off now. You'd think in order to keep me they might have offered me the sale price if I didn't cancel, Nope, so thats why I also canceled it.I SO wish I had read these reviews before I went thru this. Came into store months ago and ordered furniture. When it had not arrived at the expected time, I asked for an ETA and was prepared to wait. I loved what I purchased and wanted to receive it. The time line was changed several times, which was fine - I am sure they tried to get the items in and had no control once it was ordered. Where they lost me.... it could be Feb 2022 before I received, I was told I could receive a refund. I am still waiting for that refund (which is significant) although being told several different things, by every person I have spoken to. read more

When we went into buy furniture we had our eye set on certain things. The lady informed us it would be a long wait for that specific item. She decided to go to her computer and tell us what was available for ASAP delivery and was ready. We chose something from that list, also specifically asked if the cushions were not stuffed so if it needed to be cleaned it was one piece to be removed and come to find out they're stuffed. My items took over the 2-3 weeks estimated time frame, customer service would only offer gift cards for the inconvenience, they also said they would have their manager would reach out after reviewing the phone call in 24 hours and we never received it. The manager of this store ( not manager of customer service ) could only offer $100 refund for my entire $2800 order for the inconvenience. Delivery team was the only easy and cooperative part of this whole thing but I will never buy an item from Ashley again. read more

If I could give less stars I would. Items were purchased at this furniture store. I can assure you I WILL NEVET purchase furniture from Ashley Furniture ever! I am now three months out from having purchased a couch a love seat and a chair. All items came in the couch was ripped and the frame was cracked. There is a large stain on the chair. All of these issues have been addressed weeks ago with the company. They use a third-party company to come out and repair the furniture they do not replace the furniture I still have broken and damaged furniture that was paid thousands of dollars for. I have now wasted two Fridays waiting between the hours of 1 o'clock and 5 o'clock for someone to come and repair the damaged furniture. There has been no help with customer service. read more

Great selection of furniture at reasonable prices. Service was good. They always seem to be having a today only type of sale which bothers me. We got a leather reclining sofa and love seat. Upon delivery, a seam in the love seat was not sewn correctly and I had them take it back. The store said they would replace it. When they delivered the replacement, I noticed that they had hand stitched the defective seam; same sofa. Since the seam was at the front edge of the seat, I was afraid that it would not last, so I had it returned. A few weeks later, a new replacement arrived and I was satisfied with it. I certainly did not like the fact that they at first promised a new replacement which they did not deliver. I'd buy from them again, but you have to be prepared to play hardball with them when returning an item. read more

Awesome Ashley Experience! We needed a few items for our unit in Hilton Head (couch, chair, dresser, coffee table and pillows). Debbie I. was the sales associate that assisted me. I told her what I was looking for, she e-mailed me photos, cost and descriptions of all of it. I loved her suggestions and ended up purchasing everything! I needed to make a change to the dresser and she made that change for me without hesitation. The delivery process was equally efficient and professional. Horrible customer service. We purchased a mattress (and warranty) at Ashley a few years ago. After just a short time of use it completely lost its shape and firmness. It took Ashley several weeks to inspect it and agree to a replacement... Then the replacement offered through the warranty was nowhere near comparable as the warranty states. Terrible experience. We originally purchased furniture in this store in January. Since then we have been delivered 4 sets of what we purchased because it was all garbage. We were initially told we could not have a refund, but that they would bring another set of furniture. They brought 4 sets before they decided that we could have a refund. Horrible customer service and delivery service protocol! They have nice products and a nice store, but nice ends once you pay up front for furniture that will be delivered at a later date. I have purchased furniture here twice...both times regretfully. I will never walk back in their store. After you pay for your order, it's all on their terms with no flexibility in delivery. When they give you a "two hour window" for delivery, it actually may be a 4-5 hour window, and they will not reschedule! So, you might as well block out the whole day to wait on them. read more
