Worse customer service ever. Vanessa is the absolute worse "customer care"representative anyone can deal with. Does not exhibit the qualities any customer care representative should offer; empathy, adaptability, self control, patience, attentiveness, etc. She needs to be re trained or find another job. The eve before my delivery I got a call to confirm and was told they would call me 30 before arriving the day of the delivery. I got the call from Vanessa once they were there and told her I'd be there in 20 minutes, since this is a new house i am having furniture delivered too. She states that the pre call is not mandatory and is a "courtesy" and that I should have been more responsible of being there during my time frame. I am now dealing with rescheduling a $7,000 products worth delivery. Will never shop with them again and am considering cancelling order all together and taking my business elsewhere. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. Purchased a chair in April. Delivery was scheduled on 4/20. Not only did I not get a delivery, I didn't get even a phone call saying there would be a delay. When I contacted them I was told it was an estimated date, not the real thing. Not a phone call. Bad customer service. In early June I am contacted saying the chair is ready for delivery and I can pick a date. June 10. I get a confirmation via email. June 10. Here it is, 6/10, and I call to try and get a delivery window so I can walk the dog. Delivery? Oh no, the CONFIRMATION I received was a mistake and the chair is still back ordered. Now delivery is not expected until 7/22 and that's just an estimate too. Let me be clear, I am understanding of the covid supply delay. I get it. What I am furious with is the lack of customer service. If I got a CONFIRMATION via email, where was the person to reach out and say we're sorry the date has changed again. Went into the store off the 91 in Yorba Linda looking for a couch. Nothing appealed to us and we were about to leave . The manager told us he would give us a $ 50 gift card just to listen to a sales pitch on a bed from a new employee who needed practice . That's when things went down hill. She was replaced by a long time sales person who gave us a time share like presentation that caught us off guard and we ended up buying a $9000 bed and frame. I know the fault is o me but I want to warn people not to fall for this trick. They did give us a free couch but charged a $1000 for delivery which they wanted up front. I had such a horrible experience. We are mattress shopping for our daughter. As soon as we walked in, we were accosted by a salesman. I really wish I would have got his name. He asked what we were shopping for. I told him mattresses. He took us back to the mattress room. He was very pushy and didn't have a mask on. He was literally on my heels every time I turned around. I told him that if I needed help I would let him know. He told me the 10 inch mattresses were outside of this showroom. So we took a look while he lurked. We didn't see anything. As I walked in a salesman approached me, I politely told him I was just browsing. He said if I'm just browsing I could've done it from home on their website. I smiled and kept forward. Half the items end up being "back ordered" then canceled. Then you are left with a credit in which you are forced to only buy full priced items. The prices are completely irrational considering the quality of every single piece is plastic. Basic night Lamps are priced 400-500 when it reality they're worth $50-75. Our shopping experience at Ashley was great and we spent quite a bit of $$$ on the furniture for my daughter's new room. When the foundation and mattress arrived, and it was way too high for my daughter, I called to see if they could exchange for a lower box spring. Submitted claims and it was denied, spoke to multiple representatives at corporate to see how we can fix this problem, to absolutely no avail. They said there is no return on bedding, even though I wasn't trying to return - just exchange a brand new unused box spring for a lower one. I bought a bed for delivery and in the store I was told that the delivery team would assemble, directly to my face. Christine was sales associate that sold us a display furniture to be exact it was a couch. She told us since it's display we have to pick it up in back of the warehouse within 48 hrs. She said it was going to be ready for the next day and if we needed help to loaded it to the U-Haul we have to go between open til 3. We got there at 5:30 the couch was still in the front of the store with a tag " this has a new home " we knew there wasn't going to be any help loading it from the warehouse, but we took my 2 brothers that were going to help us. As soon as we got there Christine was nervous she didn't even approach us, when the day before she said I'll be there at 1pm if you need any help to please let me know. So we went to customer service to sign some papers. We were approached by the store manager and she said that the couch was still in the front store and we weren't able to pick it up til tomorrow. And then I told her well we have a problem because I was told it was going to be ready for us in the warehouse and I already rented a U-Haul. She could have just said I'm so sorry let me see if I can get it delivered to you tomorrow for OUR MISTAKE. Or could of said " let us pay for the cost of the U-Haul for tomorrow " But this store manager IS A JOKE she started to yell at us and looking for excuses that obviously were not making sense. Also the male associate with a pony tell told my brother " why didn't we by a new one and it would have been delivered" ? And were were shocked because then I ask myself why would you offer to sale a display and not have it ready? He then was taunting my brother for him to do or say something to him. I called to complain the service rep told me I should have known from the picture the umbrella was beige. I said you can't always tell from a picture online and my order did say white. So we get a call from the customer service person confirming that the delivery will be made in a few days. The next day we call confirm and are told they gave our sectional to someone else and have too wait 2 months. So we requested to cancel the order. I start shipping elsewhere because I don't have anything to sit on at my new house. The items get delivered as originally promised. The staff outside the store are very rude and have attitudes, not very coordinated and need training. Driver was "new" and made a lot of mistakes according to the driver that made the delivery. This 1 star is based on their extended insurance service. The recliner we got ended up having a rip in it. (After just a few months too). They said they'd replace it which was great. However, the service was not. They brought the new recliner in, but refused to take the old recliner out. They "can't lift anything" despite lifting the new one up the stairs, into the apartment. I didn't expect them to take the old recliner with them, just for them to take it out at least. We had to lift it out of the apartment and down the stairs ourselves. The new recliner came in two pieces that they assembled in our place. They didn't even bother disassembling the old one at least so that it'd be easier for us to take out. If a negative star is possible I'd give this place 5 negative stars. We purchased a mattress two years ago from this location. During delivery the box was damaged and they tried to hide it. Called, they replaced it. Few months later the mattress had a big dip. Called again, they sent a tech who confirmed, ok fine, replaced the mattress. Few more months go by and this mattress is even worse then the 1st. Attempted to call and just ask for our money back and nothing but the run around. Called the store, no help. Very rude individuals. Called corporate and they kicked us back to the store. Attempted to contact the regional manager who promised a call (withholding name for courtesy) and never did. Numerous attempts to contact with no luck. Constantly passed around and put on death hold. Multiple emails sent with no responses. The product being sold is not up to standards The service is even worse My next steps are to contact the CEO (gotta love google!) directly and the BBB. All Ashley's Furniture stores have their own return policy. If you want to ball out and buy a tempurpedic bed, I suggest going through tempurpedic for the 90 day trial. This place has a no return policy on mattresses and $5000+ is a lot to commit to a bed. Not pleased with the return policy. I picked the wrong mattress but I'm stuck with It. Jumping on a bunch of beds wasn't enough to get a real feel for something. I had to sleep on It to find out. At the register you sign a contract agreeing to the no return policy on mattresses so you better be sure! When I went to the store I initially looking to get a couch. My salesman was great about giving me space to look around. I picked my couch and then decided to look at beds and bed frame. At checkout I thought I was getting my bed, bed frame, and a couch for this sweet deal. Come delivery day, everything but the couch arrived. ;( Selective hearing for a selective sale to make more $$$? We told the salesman from the start our main purchase was to be for a couch. Beware! These people are sheisty cheats! I was in the market for a new recliner and Ashley was in a convenient location so I decided to try it out. I found a recliner that I liked. The list full price was $1,200.00 but it was on sale for $799. The sales associate said that if I found something that I liked she could talk to her manager to see if they can give me a better deal. I had her talk to the manager who further discounted the price to $649. I bought the recliner thinking that I had gotten a good deal. The next day at work I was showing a friend the recliner that I just bought on the Ashley Furniture website only to discover that the online price was only $597! Now I know that a lot of businesses have different sale prices online than they do in stores, but what really disturbed me was the full list price online was only $900! I get it if the sale price is less online, a lot of companies do that, but the full list price for the exact same item should be the same whether you are in store or online. Luckily I hadn't taken delivery of the chair yet so I went into the store. To their credit, they did match the online price, and gave me a refund for the difference. While I was at customer service there was another couple who were cancelling an order because they ordered it to be delivered before Christmas, but the store was now saying that they couldn't deliver it by then, so they were cancelling the purchase. I should have recognized that as foreshadowing. Even though when I bought the recliner we set a delivery date of December 26th (clearly listed on my receipt), the recliner ended up not being available by then. I was told I would receive a call on the 24th to give me a delivery window for the 26th. I never received that call. When I called them on the 26th to see when the delivery would take place I found out that they moved the delivery date to the 28th, without bothering to tell me or check to see if I was even available on that day. Luckily I was and I asked what the delivery window would be. I was told I would receive a call later that day with the delivery window. I didn't receive that call until the next day. Now to be fair on delivery day, the deliver drivers were top notch. Fast, friendly and professional. Too bad they work for such a horrible company. They made us wait 1 month to deliver our furniture and we agreed because they only told us this after we had already picked out everything and didn't want to go to another store again after 4 hours of being there. The delivery came and the table was NOT what I ordered. I had to go back to the store waste three hours so they could correct the mistake they made. They told me it wouldn't be possible since we accepted the furniture. They made excuses saying the table I originally wanted is discontinued. After constant back and forth, they agreed to deliver the one I had seen and ordered in the store and pick up the other, but tried to charge an additional $280 for fixing their screw up. (Suddenly, the table I wanted magically was available) I finally got them to pick up the wrong table and deliver the correct one the following week, and I got it and the finish isn't even close to what they showed me. The picture on the left is the cheap knock off table they delivered and the one on the right is what I wanted in the store. To top it all off, when I looked online they table was price marked $300 cheaper than what they sold it to me for! Total rip off!!! Moral of the story: Buy your shit from somewhere else!!! read more
