The store itself is great, filled with lots of awesome gifting ideas, items, etc. I highly recommend this store to shop for the holidays and or other special events. It is very spacious inside and well organized. Kept clean and tidy as well. You can easily get distracted while browsing the unique items in aisles. I placed my order online and came by to pick it up. The service lacked as it was a bit slow during the process of picking up my item; I almost left my phone behind. One of my favorite stores in the mall since they don't have too many locations. The chocolates and the teas are my go to when shopping here. They have a very wide variety of goods to choose from and there is always something new on every visit. Some items are on the pricier side however it makes for great gift giving. read more

I have to say it's been a while since I've been to the class plus world market inside of the mall at Burbank. It's actually been a while since I've been inside the Burbank mall at all. I think it was back when round one first opened. And with that I forgot how small the aisles are and how crowded it can be on a weekend. But I think the holiday season is in full swing a week before Thanksgiving. Although I didn't come for any of the holiday stuff. I really just wanted to pick up some of the pasta that I love so much. I feel like the selection here is pretty eclectic. So despite wandering around the store for several hours, I really didn't end up buying much else. Which is a good thing. I do have to mention that the secret side entrance is the best place to enter cost plus world market from the parking garage on the side of the freeway. Especially during the holidays since traffic in the area is absolutely horrendous. I didn't realize the holidays crowds started so early. Otherwise, I would avoided it. I tend to avoid the malls in the crowds during the holidays because it's just too crazy for me and it's really hard to get in and out when I know exactly what I want And only want. I do appreciate that the parking is good and the store is well kept and well stocked. Kudos to the employees for such a good job. read more

World Market is a big box knicknack store. Because of that, there are going to be times when you go in, find something great, & have a good experience. But there will be other times when you look around & go 'who needs any of this stuff?' I tend to come here around the holidays as it is a good place to find somewhat unique stocking stuffer items. Either foods from around the world you can't easily find in supermarkets or just little trinkets. I never come in here with any sort of expectations. I have also had little to no interaction with any employee at any visit to this location. That is beyond just the quick checkout. I don't know if I'm just always in the wrong section or what, but it just feels like beyond the previously mentioned checkout area, there are no people on the floor to help customers. It's really odd. You walk into the store & it's just a 'good luck!' feeling that hits you. One thing I do think that this location has going for it is that it's small compared to other World Markets. I didn't catch this girls name, but she has black hair with purple streaks. I came to pick up some things last minute around 7:40 (Sunday), and went to the door and this lady runs up to the door and holds it shut with her hands as if I was going to open. Online it says they close at 8:00pm, not sure why it hasn't been updated that's why I made the trip over here. She gave me hella attitude and was not friendly at all. Cool, they close at 7 - no problem! But the amount of attitude and disrespect that she gave to me after I just was clueless about the hours is not okay. I think most people leave here with more items that they didn't come in for, rather than what they actually came to purchase. Even if you're just wasting time in the mall by walking through, your hand just reaches out for things you 'must have' . They have some cool stuff, some items are pricey and others are more than affordable. The store is always well maintained and well stocked making your meandering shopping experience enjoyable. I come in here every few months. I can't think of anything negative to say. Sometimes it's a little crowded with customers, so I would recommend a hand basket instead of a pushcart to get around unless it's required. What I enjoy most here is the variety of Torani syrups and imported food items you have. At times there are things you can find elsewhere that maybe end up being cheaper but the collection is all here. The selection of wine, champagne and beer is also really good. I appreciate the availability of individual beer bottles, or the smaller champ/wine bottles to test out. To begin with, this is one of the smallest stores I've seen. I've always had a range of issues because of the messiness inside of the store. Perhaps they're understaffed, but shelves look like they're running a Ross. Or, as I found out today, it's most definitely due to some inexperienced, attitude-driven poor excuse for a general manager. They really hire anyone these days. None of the mess or lack of items was ever enough to leave a poor review for what I consider one of my favorite stores--a company I've been a loyal customer to for over a decade. Today I went into the store looking for gift for a friend. I found a cute little gift, and noticed it had a discount on their website online (when you google it, it reflects said discount). When I asked the cashier about this discount, she was clueless and brought in the general manager of the store. Once she arrived, I explained and showed her the online price. The cashier was about to scan a 15% off coupon to honor their online pricing, but the GM stopped her in her tracks until I could make the discount work online. Since I was not able to apply the AUGUSTSAVE coupon on my phone (I admit, I was rushed), she quickly said that it's only for online orders from the store and refused to honor it. This isn't true, I just needed to log into my account, but I didn't want the hassle and didn't have my credentials anyway. She mentioned that I would have received the discount had I ordered it from their store for pick up. First of all, displaying a discounted price online and misleading and deceiving customers to come into that exact store to receive said discount is most definitely illegal practice according to California state law. However, I'm not pissed about not received some dollars off my order - she can keep her change (she certainly acts like it comes out of her pocket). What I find absolutely disgusting and dishonorable was the general manager's attitude and the way she was doing everything in her power to ensure I didn't receive the discount displayed online. When I commented that it would definitely discourage people from going in person (and force stores to close down over time, as we see happening everywhere), she got snarky and replied she just opened 7 stores (so she could care less about customer satisfaction) and walked away. I don't know who placed this incompetent person in a position of management, but she sure needs to learn a few skills when it comes to dealing with people. I was very calm the entire time since 15% off isn't even a huge deal, but this GM went out of her way to make sure to upset me. For this, I will absolutely never come back to this location again. Some people just don't know how to act when given the smallest bit of power through their position. read more

My friends and I stopped by here when we were waiting to eat at a restrauant inside the mall. The store is nicely organized and very clean so you'll be able to likely find what you want here. They have a lot of candy, chips, wine and other snack to choose from. The prices on the items for houses are kind of high but if you're okay with it then that's fine. An employee ask us if he needed any help while we walk around the store and we say we didn't. They also have a lot of Asian snacks here as well but I didn't see any Sriracha bottles when I was here. read more

I always park across from the rear entrance of the mall so I can walk through this beautiful bazaat first and get a preview to all kinds of treasures for the eyes and stomach. The best time to go is in the morning when most people are in bed or at work. This holiday season they have out done themselves. So many ornaments and delicatessen darlings to delight stocking and flockings! I have been shopping here since the 80s. My sister and I used to pick out a pair of earrings together and then we would splut them up, each getting one to dangle Cindy Lauper style. One earing was so rad back then dude! I splurge here after a big sale closing on furniture and designer lighting. I stage all of my homes with pillows and window coverings here as well. The app and texts help me get in a little extra discount. The employees are helpful here but my favorite works at the Sherman Oaks CA location. I'm very glad this location opened, but after visiting it a few times since its opening, I realized that it's smaller than other ones and has less merchandise as well. The food area is decent, has some interesting choices, but not as big, it doesn't have enough selection as other locations (like the baked mix packages, one of my obsessions). They don't have the jewelry area here or clothes, too bad since I like their line and love to check out and shop. What girl doesn't like her jewelry and clothes with a cool twist, as the World Market has to offer. Less frame selection in that department. Nice store, nice displays, clean restrooms, but it can be improved and have more items in stock! read more

I had been coming to the Cost Plus World Market branch in Glendale and The Grove so it's quite a relief that they opened a new location in the city of Burbank. The Town Center has been undergoing a lot of renovations for almost a year now. Having new and bigger stores opening up certainly gives the mall that much needed uplift and rejuvenation. I'm currently sitting in one of the table displays while writing this review. As expected of any newly opened store, it is well stocked and well organized. Lots of really nice commodities which I particularly love about Cost Plus. They have very unique and carefully chosen merchandise. They are currently on soft opening stages and so far, so good. Staff is doing a great job in assisting customers. Grand Opening is scheduled on Thursday, 5/31. Enjoy raffles, live music, food tastings & more from 5/31-6/3. Please come and visit! read more

Marianne called me today to tell me they don't have the items I wanted in stock even though their website said they did. Now mind you, this is the THIRD time I tried buying this item. Nay, I actually bought them online. My card was charged 3 times and not one store had it in stock. The first two times, no one called me to say it wasn't in stock. I had to drive all the way to West LA for one order. I had to drive all the way to Glendale for another. Both places did not have what I ordered. At least Glendale had the courtesy of updating my order and sent me an email to confirm. West LA just told me my account will be credited. But how do they even know what to credit? To date, still have not heard from West LA. I had to contact corporate which still has not responded to my inquiry. Anyway Marianne was delightful. I can't leave without purchasing 3 or more things... it's a problem... so when I find myself at my favorite location with the intent of window shopping for next time I laugh cry at myself in one of the mirrors in the candles, potions and lotions section. The Burbank Cost Plus World Market is located in the town center on level one... just below level two if you're entering from Magnolia rather than the Cypress/1st entrance. This location is standard size, maybe a little more well laid out compared to other neighboring locations and easy to navigate... some of the isles in scented goodness (incense, holders, and that lovely magical area) are not as wide/mildly narrow, but everyone who shops and works here is fairly warm in nature and will move out of the way if you need to get by or vice versa. The have great deals on decor, kitchen everything and seasonal items, but their wine deals get me often. The last few times I've stopped in to add to my silverware collection obsession and purchase way too much wine for one person... if there is such a thing especially since their prices are on par with the competition some slightly less and some a buck or so above. International snacks and foods are dare I say hashtag blessed I love me some international candy, exotic spices and pasta sauce. You can find a lot at this locations and select others and when you're ready to check out there's counters at both entrances and usually never a line of more than one to five people max, if that. All an all this Cost Plus is my favorite new guilty pleasure after 4 trips in the last three weeks... Stop in soon and make this one yours as well. I am OBSESSED with this store and wish I lived in Burbank so I could come here every day and buy tons of Dijon mustard and wine and popcorn and interact with the wonderful employees who are so incredibly helpful and engaging!! I was visiting the Burbank area this morning and decided to go into the store. Upon returning home I realized I was double charge for an item. I called the store and spoke with an Associate named Sophia explained to her the situation and she bluntly said, "we can't help you out over the phone." I understand it wasn't her fault or mine, but she had no manners whatsoever or even apologetic about the situation. I asked to speak to her superior and her response to me was, " she's shaking her head no to me." When I asked her again may I please speak to her she then responded, " you can begin speaking she's listening." I was so flabbergasted on how they treat customers over the phone. In all the years I've shopped at multiple world markets I've never been treated so poorly. Finally the manager named Dawn spoke to me I explained to her the situation and she assured me if I take my receipt to a different location they would be able to help me with a refund. I asked her if she needed to notate anything on her system or the transaction note. She just responded with no and hung up. Just with this interaction alone I will never be visiting the Burbank location. read more
