Was in need for a new sectional. Had been to many other furniture stores but just didn't find anything we liked except in an Ashley store. We decided to go back to our hometown at the Ashley store. As soon as we entered the store we was greeted and helped. Was not pressured but made sure to keep checking on us. Worst place to invest your money in household items. I bought a couch about six years ago and opted to pay for the protection package. I never had to utilize the service that came with it, so I received a voucher for the amount of the protection package. I can only use it in-store + the purchase must be double the value of the voucher... Today, I visited the store and found that: 1. They had literally nothing in stock for the items I was looking for. No book or inventory guide for me to look through of their products in stock. 2. The representative did nothing but tell me about Purple products, the only color of which they had was gray. So their only focus is to peddle the products needed to meet a quota. The prices of anything available also seemed grossly over priced, so not worth the value. Absolutely terrible experience and terrible store. The staff is dedicated to help you until you swipe your card to pay. After payment, good luck trying to get ahold of the store for help. They don't answer the phone or return a call from a voicemail. This has happened with 2 separate orders I have made over the last year. I will never purchase from them again. My couch was delivered with a stain on it. I called the store multiple times. One person randomly answered telling me I need to send pictures to an email address and they will replace the couch. I follow the instructions and was offered $90 off OR to have a tech come out and "repair" it. I did not pay this much money for a couch to come damaged. I do not want it repaired. I want it replaced. If I wanted a repaired couch, I would have went to an outlet store. I sent a response back to their email and never heard back. Customer service only takes emails. This store is awful!!! We spent close to $7K on furniture for our new home some 3 months ago. One of the beds we ordered arrived with damaged slats and screws. Called the store to complain and were eventually sent new screws and slats. Surprise surprise..we were sent the wrong hardware and slats for our bed. After a few months one of the slats eventually broke and we were sent newer slats. Surprise!! Wrong product again. Impossible to reach anyone at the store or customer service. Our salesperson, appropriately named Judi Crook, was very unhelpful. I might add that we were sold a protection plan that surprisingly didn't cover this type of damage. Additionally, we ordered a dresser that was constantly delayed. When it finally arrived we were charged full price for the item when it was purchased at a sales price over $200 less. TLDR: If you are considering Ashley's Furniture for your needs, I would recommend reading this first. I bought some other furniture at the same time from Value City Furniture in Centerville, Ohio. The experience and attentiveness to my order has been amazing! I would recommend just saving your money and heartache and go there if you can. Ashley's does not stand behind their furniture very well in my opinion. The front-end sales experience was awesome. After that, it's been pretty frustrating. Nearly everything I ordered back when I went to the store in June was backordered. I understand that part to an extent, there are a lot of supply chain issues right now. There were some items in stock, of which included the 6 dining table chairs. I picked them up from the warehouse that day and they came packaged 2 per box (3 total boxes). We did not open the boxes right away (since the actual table was backordered a couple weeks) and sat them in the corner of the kitchen. Once the table arrived, we opened them to assemble the chairs and one box had 2 chair backings that were both destroyed and unsalvageable (see pics). I called the store, and apparently they don't help with this kind of thing. They tell me to call "customer care" - which I put in quotes to note sarcasm. What a terrible, terrible experience. They tell me that they will put in a parts replacement order for just the broken piece - presumably because it saves the company money and who cares if I have to sit around and wait for my chairs? I've been waiting for over a month now for replacement parts for the chair backs that came to me damaged. No one can even give me any kind of date, how long, etc. I called the store again today and they could not help me again. I asked if the chairs were in stock and the person helping me told me yes somewhat sheepishly. You get that - the chairs are IN STOCK, but I am waiting endlessly for a replacement part order for items I received damaged over a month ago? Probably because he can see how ridiculous the entire situation is. I am willing to take the box to the warehouse myself to swap it out with a new box of 2 non-damaged chairs but apparently that is too logical. Ashley Furniture's "customer care" team is terrible, non-responsive, difficult to reach, and the store itself is about useless - they just tell you to call customer care. Round and round we go. My dad bought a living room suite on 8/30. He had gone a few days before and found what he wanted. He brought me to see if and decided to purchase. The salesman was nice enough that day. When he was buying the furniture, my dad was asked if he wanted a few pieces the first week of September or if he wanted all the pieces together on 9/13. He chose to wait a week and get it all at the same time. He had me check online to check if the timing of the delivery was on the website. I then found that the estimated delivery was 10/20...a whole month after the original delivery date. My dad called the store and wasn't able to talk to his salesman. He called again today. The salesman was extremely rude. He said that he never said it would be on 9/13...but my dad and I both heard him. He argued with my dad and threatened to cancel my dad's order. My dad asked to speak to the manager and was told he would call my dad back within the hour. My dad had not heard from him in 3 or 4 hours, so he called him back. He was again met with extreme rudeness. My dad chose this store because he had a bad delivery experience with another furniture store, but this experience has been much worse. We purchased a sectional for the basement and they attempted delivery 4 times. The first time the delivery team had 2 men. The one in charge was discourteous and rude, unhelpful, didn't listen, broke the couch, got mud on my carpet, and then tried to leave without completing the job on the other pieces. Contacted the store. The lady who answered said she would email as well about the new couch. They tried to send a repair person, great guy really but I didn't purchase a broken and repaired couch, I ordered a new couch. The 2nd delivery team was much nicer but they drug the couch across the sidewalk and ripped a hole clear through the fabric into the wood. The store this time was completely unhelpful and offered no assistance whatsoever. The 3rd delivery team was great but the store tried to send a used, dirty, repaired couch. No. I paid for a new one. The store this time was completely unhelpful and offered no assistance whatsoever. This time I went in. The manager gave me a customer care number but offered absolutely no other assistance and was dismissive "We have nothing to do with the deliveries". The 4th delivery team was great as well. I informed them how the couch needed to go down into the basement to fit but they wanted to try a different way. It didn't work but they were very careful with the couch and I appreciated that. They brought it back up the stairs and were concerned to try it my way. I told them I would take care of it. They were very hesitant to not get it to the basement but I told them I truly didn't mind. They positioned the couch the correct direction and left. As I said this was by my request. I didn't want another mess on my hands and REALLY needed my couch. My daughter and I had it down and in the basement, unharmed, before they pulled away from the house. The issue in all of this is some of your delivery teams needs trained to not drag furniture on concrete. Your Logistics team should NEVER try and pass off used junk for new. Listen to homeowners. They actually know there homes. And the head delivery guy from the first time should be fired. And your stores that sell the items should take some form of ownership. So I am out a vacation day at work for having to babysit deliveries, and I'm out the time involved, and I'm out the cost of "White Glove Service" which I did not get. And I have to clean mud off my carpet. Oh, and I will never by anything from Ashley or Morris again that needs delivery. You have ruined that. They said they would hurry and get our repair done today August 6 instead of having to wait till September 1. Remember we got this couch in April. The 3rd party technician came (who was very nice) and said he could only repair part of the fabric. The repair now looks worse than the original damage from when Ashley delivered the couch. Just FYI, Ashley/Morris representative that called me said we are not able to return this item, even if we are unhappy with repairs since we had what she called "threshold delivery". That means they don't set it up. We never knew this as we just paid for delivery and were informed by the sales person that sold us the couch that they would set everything up. Went to Ashley Homestore for the Black Friday sales. My wife and I Specifically went in to get a $498.88 deal on a conch and Loveseat that was advertised for Black Friday. When we spoke with the sales manager she informed us that it was a misprint in the ad. She told us there was nothing she could do for us and that the price was really $698.88. She also said we wouldn't fine a better deal anywhere else. I'm very dissatisfied that they do business like this just to get customers in the door. On Monday, November 28, 2022 we visited the Ashley Home Store/Better Sleep Shop in Beavercreek, Ohio. We were greeted by a very friendly salesperson, Kathy Martin. We worked with her for a good hour; she was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and patient. We did not know what we wanted and she showed us several mattresses that were various styles and prices. She also showed us different pillows and mattress covers without any pressure to purchase. Additionally, she helped us with our current bed, which has an adjustable frame, giving us suggestions for selling it. We left the store to think about it. We went into a "pop-up" store at the Fairfield Commons Mall. It was a Morris Home Furnishings, selling their clearance and damaged products. We bought a bed frame, bu discovered it was not what we needed for the mattresses we were planning to buy. We returned to Morris and spoke to Noah Straughn. After explaining what happened, he was more than helpful in finding what we needed. He exchanged the frame and we purchased what we needed. Noah was very nice, patient and friendly. He helped us disassemble the frame so we could take it home. We then returned to Ashley to discuss further with Kathy the mattress we wanted to buy. After deciding on a mattress, 2 pillows and a mattress cover, we discovered that the pillows and mattress cover were not at their store. The store manager, Monica Furman stepped in and found the pillows and upgraded our mattress cover. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Today, December 7, 2022 our new mattress was delivered. Wesley Ramsey brought the mattress in and unpackaged it. He was extremely courteous and kind. It is very obvious that you are a company with integrity who values your employees. We appreciate the customer service, non-pressured sales and knowledge that all of these employee have. These people are a definite asset to your company. You need to keep these employees. You should reward these people with a raise and much praise. These are the people who will keep your customers returning. We hope when we return for our future furniture needs we are greeted by these same employees' friendly faces. TL;DR: Spent over $7000 in store from Oct to Dec 2020 and after five months of requesting customer service on now a third piece of damaged furniture, I've had nothing but issues and furniture still not repaired. Have spent over 10 hours on phone trying to get repairs on manufactured defects. After spending over $7,000 in the store, I don't think it's too much to expect customer service to follow through with self-imposed promises. Still awaiting a refund on a desk after six, yes 6, attempted deliveries, each desk irreparably damaged. Also awaiting warranty services to complete the repair of a chair and a half purchased and delivered in December 2020. All of this after having a couch purchased and delivered at the same time as a chair have a manufacturer defect that required repair with their master craftsman and after two weeks of being without it, was returned furniture in worst condition than when it left. At least that has finally been resolved. A quick scan of available phone records show I have spent more than ten hours on the phone with the local store and customer service just since January 2021 and that doesn't include any calls my husband has made. I understand COVID has caused issues with timing and even production quality but that's no excuse for the lack of customer service when someone has spent this much money in one store. Will be purchasing two bedroom sets and family room furniture anywhere but here. UPDATE 05/07/2021 Since posting this I've received the refund for the desk but it took an additional email to the store manager to make it happen. Yet my chair is still not yet repaired. I've had an additional piece mailed to me by Ashley to fix it but based on the repair tech claiming the fabric pulling away and revealing the wood panel is due to an incorrect panel length, it's yet again the wrong piece. It's only fabric doesn't even appear to be the right size and shape for the portion of the chair needing addressed. I keep being promised a call or contact from customer service in some form but the last time I heard from anyone that deals with warranty repairs was when the third party called to change our appointment three times in one day as mentioned in my original review. Nothing I'm reviewing now has anything to do with COVID or manufacturing, this is 100% poor customer service practices. It doesn't matter if they have the best look, most durable and well made furniture in the world, I will never buy from this company again when I see how little they care about their customers. I have just purchased a ottoman that goes with the sectional that I purchased last year but when I got the ottoman it was stained yellow. Beware of this company and their drivers! This company hires drivers that do not obey the laws. I had one run a stop sign, in the rain, right in front of me. I had to slam on my breaks to avoid ramming right into the side of the truck. I was just at the grocery store so had items in the front seat. 1 pack was eggs that went into the dashboard and all over the floor. I confronted the company wit this and they said they would send it to their insurance company. They had someone call me, obviously from their house, with a dog barking in the same room. We have been in a couple of times and service has been consistently mediocre...with the exception of our last visit. If you are going to shop Ashley you need to shop with Brian. He is the only one I would ever see there. The quick walking woman who always wears a skirt said she would help us and then dumped us to take a phone call and then assist another family. In my opinion, if you make commission you should work for it. Brian does, but not in an overbearing way. You tell him what you want and he will tell you what he can do for you. If Ashley can't provide what you are looking for he will be point blank honest and tell you where you might be able to go to get it. I love honesty! Furniture is well...Ashley Furniture. Good quality furniture with a warranty. Prices are mediocre. None of their sales are fabulous. Search around because you can get many of the same items at deeper discounts in the near vicinity. You may want to try Morris' Back Room or Dayton Discount Furniture, both in Fairborn. Will we be back? Maybe to shop around, get ideas, and then bring them back to a cheaper place. read more

Spent over $6,000 on a Dining Room table and a sectional the first week of April to have it sold out from underneath me while waiting for it to be delivered. My fiancé and I spent 2 hours in store with our sales guy (Chris, who was extremely helpful and took us to exactly what we were looking for through the store without trying to pressure us into buying anything) looking for furniture that we liked and that was in stock because we did not want to wait until the end of May for it to be in stock and then even longer for it to be delivered. The visit was pleasant and easy. We paid for everything up front and scheduled the delivery for today(April 30,2021). On April 14th I received a call that the table was no longer in stock because they had sold them all and that they would have it back in stock in 1-2 weeks but to call back on April 29th to see if it was in and they would still deliver it on the 30th. I called on the 29th and was told the table was still not in and that it looked like it would be the middle of May before it would be in but that my sectional was still set for delivery tomorrow(April 30th). Fast forward to today and the Sectional gets delivered but only 2 of the 4 pieces it was supposed to come with. The delivery team gave me a number to their manager who informed me that the other two pieces I was missing were split off from the original order and placed on an order on it's own 2 weeks later. I was also told by the delivery manager that the reason they sold out was because even though they took my money and set up the delivery that the furniture was never reserved for me at the time of purchase and that is why they sold out before I could get my order delivered. I was then told to call the store I bought the furniture from and explain the situation to them. I called and was told a manager would be back with me in 15 minutes. Fast forward 3 hours and still no call back. So I call again and got Jesse. She was extremely helpful and was able to tell me that the two pieces of the sectional I was missing would be in on 05/04/2021 and that she would have it set for delivery the next day but that my table was now pushed out until the end of May. I hang up with her and 10 minutes later a manager finally calls me back(I cannot remember what he told me his name was) but was very apologetic and told me he would personally make sure that the delivery got out to me on the 5th and that he would keep an eye on my account to see if the table comes in any sooner. The two delivery managers, the Beavercreek store manager, and Jesse were helpful and honest about everything. It seems they are doing their best to resolve the issue to the best of their ability and that is the only reason why I gave 2 stars. read more

Buyer Beware!!!! With so many furniture choices out there, do not go here!!! I recently had a situation with the Beavercreek Ashley store (owned by Morris Furniture) that I want to share and you be the judge. I was looking for a new mattress and headboard. I needed a very specific headboard to match something else and my choices were few. I found one at Ashley that would work so bought both mattress and headboard there to tune of 3k. They were having the election promotion that if Ohio has a certain number of Votes you would get your sale for free (not why I bought it). So I get a call the next morning that the headboard is not available and I would have to pick something else out. There was nothing else I wanted at their store. I ended up buying a mattress and headboard at Furniture Fair (wonderful product and service) . So I called Ashley back and told them I wanted to cancel order since they didn't have the product I ordered. Oh No! There's no returning because of the promotion. Mind you this was all before the election took place. I believe I should have been able to get out of the deal since THEY backed out of the agreement since they didn't have what I selected. Talked to store manager and he was so smug and rude saying you'll have to call Customer Service, I can't help you! So, I dialed up customer service . . On hold for an hour and a half . . The rep said they would have to call me back on Monday with answer. So Monday comes and I figured I'm not gonna hear anything so I better call back. On hold again for another hour and a half and finally talk to someone and they flat out say they can't give a refund. So fine, I call Ashley back and say bring the bed, along with a bed frame and I'll just take the credit for the headboard. So a week later we are scheduled for a delivery and it's just about time for the delivery and I noticed on the delivery notice that there is no bed frame! OMG, at this point I may lose it! We had cleared out our bed and given it away in anticipation of having a bed delivered. I immediately called the store manager again and basically he was like oops sorry! So the best he could do was offer me a free frame and have it delivered in a week! I said ok if that's my only choice. I was venting my frustration and he basically just said "have a nice evening" and I was dismissed. I immediately called Furniture Fair (I was able to cancel the sale I made from them) and they will have a frame for me in a few days. Ashley .. I don't need your free frame because there will probably be something that goes wrong with that. Just an overall horrible experience. I only gave you star because giving zero stars is not an option. I was sold a 2 piece sectional and recliner last fall (August 2019) along with an extended warranty to cover anything that may happen to the furniture because of my dog. Long story short, I attempted to file a claim in March/April for puncture marks from my dog and seam separation (yet stitching still intact) that seems to be manufacturer error. I was finally able to file the claim in July after being told wrong information from the warranty company and Ashley. I was finally told in August 2020 that my warranty doesn't cover animals (only reason I bought it) and that seam separation is normal wear and tear...after only 6 months???? No, I don't think so. I've spent hours on the phone trying to get a hold of customer care since April. I've requested call backs, nothing. Finally September 23 I finally spoke to someone in Customer Care only to be told my 1 year manufacturer warranty was expired although the store guaranteed me that the warranty would hold since I've been attempting to get a hold of them for months. Customer care told me the store cannot make that decision. The store always says I have to speak to Customer Care and now Customer Care is saying I have to speak to the store. HORRIBLE customer service, they don't care about their customers, misinform about warranties and processes, and are only concerned with making a buck. I ran into a manufacturing defect issue with our sofa after 18 months where the Guardian protection didn't cover the issue since it wasn't damage. While it took a couple calls, emails, and photos, the Morris company did address the issue and we have a new couch. The previous couch and new couch are very comfortable and worth the $ spent. I am also a big fan of their delivery notifications and situational awareness systems. (email receipts, text/email delivery notifications, and automated calling for delivery. Ashley's furniture is a good place to buy everything except tables. Unless you're wanting a table that you can sit on the floor and eat with your expandable fork don't buy a table here because you will get no chairs. The store has full sets of chairs at every table but don't let that fool you because they don't actually have any chairs for the customers. So my advice would be not to buy a dining room table from Ashley's furniture buy that elsewhere. We ordered and returned 3 different tables from here and never received our full sets of chairs. read more

We received a replacement table. Sadly, it is in very poor condition. The finish has been stripped and not replaced, there are several very visible gashes and scratches on the top of the table. The bottom has a chunk of wood missing from a corner, and has sharp exposed staples coming out of the bottom in many areas. It is not safe to even sit at this table. This is clearly not a new table, and is in far worse condition than the one they took from our house. Why would a furniture store do this? Aside from the reputation, why treat anyone so badly? We cannot recommend anyone do business with this store. Buyer beware!! read more

The bar-stools we purchased were impossible to assemble so we took them back to the store to have them assembled. The customer service we have experienced since then has simply been horrible. We were told they would deliver the furniture to use for free, but I really don't have much hope in getting them any time soon. I'll never buy from this company again. read more

I bought a dining table and eight chairs. After about six months the finish started coming off.. alittle at a time,, it sits eight but there are four of us and where we sit the finish is gone.. it was under warranty so i had them come out to take a look and they said the warranty was void because you cannot wipe it with water. Huh,,? You can only clean it with a dry towel. That is obviously gross and a lame excuse not to back a defective item. Lots of furniture stores in the area. I will never spend a dime there again. I understand it is not ethan allen but it should have lasted more then six months. I have a set of end tables from kmart in my basement that have been through three kids and the finish looks perfect. read more

Buyer Beware. I purchased a sofa, love seat and ottoman on 3/25/21. Couch and Love Seat were delivered a few days later missing a cushion. Delivery was missing tools to perform the "White Glove" install, spilled water on the floor because they didn't want to use the back door. When they discovered the cushion was missing, they simply took a picture and left. I have spent hours on the phone trying to get this resolved. Originally they said it would be 7 to 21 days to ship me a cushion from the manufacturer. 21 days later its going to be another 2 weeks because of the snow storm in Texas that happened in February. Finally today they looked in their inventory system and noticed that they have 8 cushions in the warehouse and are going to deliver in 2 days supposedly. No one can issue a refund or return this because it has been in my house for more than 3 days. Keep getting bounced between call center (average wait is 40 min before anyone picks up) and the store. Do not buy. Still waiting on ottoman as it has been delayed twice now. Maybe by mid summer I will receive what I paid for. read more

A few months ago I purchased a bedroom set on sale at Ashley Furniture here in the Dayton area. After multiple delivery cancellations by Ashley Furniture they've now advised me that the furniture I purchased is no longer available. The set I purchased was a great deal and I'm highly upset that I'm not going to be able to obtain it. To make matters worse, I sold my old bedroom furniture to make room for the new set...so for months now I've been without bedroom furniture. To add insult to injury, I spoke to the manager about providing a similar quality bedroom set for the same sale price..they declined my request and mailed me a refund check instead....HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
