I am extremely disappointed in the service I received from the Secaucus showroom. I purchased a very expensive dining room set that was conveniently delivered next day. That evening I looked on line only to see the same exact furniture combined cost was $1000 less than I was changed in the store. When calling to give them the opportunity to do the right thing, I was told NO...we can't do anything or price match after furniture was delivered. The manager indicated that it was my loss. This is my first and last time ever purchasing anything from Ashley furniture. Go to Raymour Flanigan as they at least have Customer Service! read more

Go to Bob's Discount Furniture!!! I tried Ashley and got a great Salesman when I went. I spent $4K to move in to a new apartment after ending a live in relationship. Of course, my ex went to Bob's and spent less money while getting better quality product. Now, less than 4 months later, I hate my bed frame [has a footboard and too small. I feel like I'm sleeping in a crib] and they will not work with me in any way to help me get into a bed I like. The customer care representative didn't even bother to check with a Supervisor or Manager to see what could be done. This is obviously a business that only cares about first time buyers and nothing about repeat business or loyalty. Great store, the staff are extremely friendly. There are too many options which made it difficult for me. I bought my reclining sofa there and no problems yet. I didnt give 5 stars because the delivery drivers dragged my sofas across the floor on the fabric portion and was very careless. I mentioned why one of the recliners does not pop out all the way and he says its like that... He could of called into the store for me. read more

From beginning to end, my purchase was a fiasco. I ordered out of the store in New Jersey to be delievered in Manhattan. I was told i wouldn't receive any of my items for at least three weeks, so that's several weeks for delivery after order. In my first set of items received, my nightstand was cracked and broken (see attached). When I reported the broken item, the customer service agent insinuated that I broke it. The process to replace it is to take pictures of everything and send it back MYSELF. Then and only then will they ship me a new one. Meanwhile, keep in mind I paid for everything. I'm truly worried my second delivery will come broken as well and I'll have to go through this process again. In addition, I paid extra to have everything delivered and assembled only to be told that they deliver any small items they can via UPS and won't assemble those items, but also won't refund the assembly fee. Then, another representative stated my couch will not come with anything else and maybe it will be delivered a few days later, but most likely not. I am still debating cancelling the entire order (which was a few thousand dollars) due to the complete LACK of customer service, broken products, and this entire experience. read more

Horrible. I live in a condo that doesn't allow deliveries before 10 am, they gave me a very hard time with that. My wife talked me out of canceling the whole order. 1st delivery incomplete with parts missing. Bed broke within a week. They mailed parts based on my pictures. No call no show the first time, the second time wrong parts. Customer service rude and awful. Third time they fixed it but it broke again within a week. One of my drawers broke within a year and the service contract company doesn't fix that part. Awful experience. The good news is the coffee table and 3 side tables are amazing but there's a good reason my $7k bedroom set has been discontinued and now parts are unavailable. I am way happier with the Raymour and Flanigan and Bobs furniture we got and they were nothing but helpful. read more

I usually do not take the time to write a review unless it's positive. The customer service was so poor, however, that I felt it my duty to help others avoid my experience. There must've been a mattress sales contest going on because as soon as I told my sales guy I didn't want a mattress, he was bored with me. I would've walked out the door but needed a bedframe otherwise it would've been another week without one as I just relocated. Anyway, my sales guy couldn't wait to get my credit card and move on. At one point, he walked away to "take a call" and sales guy #2 took over. When I showed him the bed I wanted, he said, "oh, the little guy". These guys are clowns. If I could give it a negative Stars I would. Horrible experience with the Ashley Fairfield location. Went in with my wife and kids and made a sofa sleeper purchase for a vacation property. The sales guy was Ok and we made the purchase, delivery to the area was bi-weekly on Thursday, so we had to make arrangements to be off work. 2 days before the delivery we get a call confirming delivery, the day before we get a call stating it is on the truck. Morning of delivery we get the call from the warehouse stating the sofa was damaged and they could not bring it. The guy said he would call me and let me know when he had a replacement and would try and make arrangements, and that was the last I heard from him. Called customer service and they were useless, said they could get me a new one for 2 weeks and it would have to be on another Thursday, so we would have to take time off again. Called the sales guy back and he said he would look into it, and he never did, no call, no info. I spent more time calling and speaking to people there about a sofa that I should have. Customer service is terrible, delivery is awe full, and the fact that I made 7 calls to inquire about the status and not one person called me back is infuriating. Needless to say, I cancelled my order and will never shop there again. read more

Do not buy anything from Ashley Furniture! The customer service has been absolutely horrible. I paid $70 to get some cheap crappy furniture delivered. One of 3 tables in a table set was "damaged" and they had to take back all 3 tables. I have spent weeks trying to reschedule deliveries with their crappy delivery system. They give you zero option on time of day and give you a 4 hour window the day before. After wasting 2 saturdays sitting at home for furniture that was not delivered as planned I had to take off half a day of work to get the furniture delivered. After at least 6 phone calls with their so-called "manager" I was finally offered a refund of my $70 shipping fee which is still terrible compensation considering the time and agrivation this delivery has caused me. Buy your furniture elsewhere, anywhere else! read more

horrible, horrible, horrible, is what i can say about the managers at this location in farfield nj. when my husband and i visited the store the sales person was great. and so was the manager on the floor ed. we had a great experience untill the time for delivery . i was told by customer care that all my pieces of furniture were in. when i called back to schedule my delivery i was told that there was one part on back order for my sectional until late july of august, so now i have no wear to sit. my family has been sitting on the floor. i called the store to speak to a manager, i have spoken to 5 diffrent managers, in which no one has returned one simple phone call after 3 weeks , im still waiting for someone to call me back. what kind of customer service is this ???? i spoke to ed last thursday on 07-01-2021 and he said to give him a little awhile and he would call me back to have the 2 pieces of the sectional that are in to be delivered on 07/10/2021. well guess what no phone call no sechdule was ever made. i have spoken to kesley, to michell , to ed , to lilly not one person has called me back. terrible service no courtesy phone call. i know this store is individally owned . i hope this gets to the owners attention. i will contact the corporte office to get the owners information, so he can be aware of the kind of staff he has working at the fairfield location in new jersey. vivian rappa read more

Well, during the last holiday, we found better deal here, purchased our living room/bedroom settings. Everything is good so far. We realized that the bed box is too high for us but they can not be returned or changed to a lower one. In the end, we take out the beam supporting the bed frame and put the boxes on the floor. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE SALES BEFORE YOU WALK IN THE DOOR! Our salesman was a complete LIAR. My fiancè and I went in to buy a full living room set, kitchen, and bedroom set. Our salesman was helpful in that he did his job and showed us different pieces. We mentioned to him that we wanted to finance being that we knew there was a 0%APR. Our final total was 3500.00 and we thought we had gotten a good deal. Our salesman charged us what we thought were good prices and that was that. Thankfully my fiancè went online to check another piece we had wanted and found that if we financed for a year there was a percentage off EACH PIECE we bought !! Our salesman, of course, never notified us of this, in fact, he lied to us about it and said it was only for those paying cash. My fiancè called corporate, because let's face it their customer service is less than helpful and we got our contract changed. We ended up saving 1200.00!! Our final total was 2300.00. SO dishonest! They also ripped the couch which they then eventually fixed 1 month later Their claims department does not have a phone number and does not get back to you, I was stuck with paying to fix the door frame. Can't even get an answer from these people... I ordered a new bed, mattress, and sofa about 4 weeks ago. They call me two weeks ago to schedule delivery saying everything is in. Today was supposed to be my delivery day. They called yesterday and stated that the mattress was damaged and asked if I still wanted the sofa and bed frame to be delivered today to which I stated yes seen as how I threw out the old sofas at the beginning of the week to make room for my new sofas scheduled for delivery today. The lady on the phone told my girlfriend we were the second stop at could expect delivery between 6:15 and 10:30am. Well at noon with no calls and still a no show my girlfriend called to check the status. She was told that the delivery had been cancelled for today and the woman on the other end had no idea why. All she knew was the not all pieces of the bed frame were available. So we went from everything being ready for delivery to a damaged mattress which is fine stuff happens but now all of a sudden delivery is canceled and the bed frame that was ready for delivery is now magically missing pieces. After chasing people around all day I still have no answer as to what's going on and when I can expect delivery. So after spending $3,000 I still have no furniture, no answer as to when I can expect it or what happened, and now on top of it have nowhere to sit. Great customer service Ashley let me tell you. Never shopping here again and still undecided as to weather I want to just cancel the whole order. If o could give zero stars I would read more

They were flexible with delivery and the prices were excellent. I had previously purchased a kitchen and bedroom set there and they were both excellent quality and I had prior great experiences. I see so many negative reviews here. I did not have a bad experience. I came in I met a sales women who never gave any pressure. I walked out and shopped around but Ashley had the best couch for my budget. Not too cheap but not real expensive. I came back made my purchase and waited for delivery. Delivery came when they said, guys worked hard to get it in the house. They put it all together for me and took the garbage. I tipped the drivers and gave them water for their hard work. I guess we wait to see how long they last but I love my sofa. Don't let the negative reviews steer you away from this place. First and last time buying in Ashley. We bought a firm mattress a week ago. I have back problems so we were happy getting this mattress. We checked others stores, but we stopped in Ashley, and unfortunately decided to get the mattress there. (big mistake) after 3 nights sleeping in my new mattress my back pain started, so we decided to call customer service to exchange it and we got the worse costumer service ever. In the store they didn't explain my their return  police because if I would know this, I never have bought the mattress there. All in all, no manager available to talk with, no possible exchange until 30days, and if we chose another mattress we lose 40% of the money we paid initially. Very upset. Recently purchased a bedroom set from Ashley of Freehold NJ . Anil Lulla the salesman I dealt with is great !! He was awesome all the way through this purchase. Always getting back to me promptly even on his day off. Also once I received a call from Ashley delivery service that my original adjustable bed base was damaged and couldn't be delivered with the rest of furniture he took care of it reassuring me the whole time that he would do whatever he has to do to make sure all the furniture was delivered on the same day as promised. He even upgraded me with no charge . Also the manager Joy at Ashley was great she made this large purchase go so smoothly. I highly recommend this store for any furniture purchases . But you should definitely see that you get Anil and Joy to handle your purchase !! read more

Buyers beware!! Approach extremely cautiously if you decide to spend your hard earned money at Ashley HomeStore for furniture. We recently purchased a King bedroom set from this store. The bed frame has been creaking since day one. I have been reaching out for help, both from the store (that took our money) and their customer care team (in Edison, NJ). Getting a manager on the phone is impossible. No on has helped us at all. We have a defective bed frame, and despite a tech coming to look at the frame, and telling us that the creaking is due to the design of the bed frame - it is our loss. Ashley furniture does not do exchanges or refunds (be aware of this - we were not). Extremely devastating - and the worst customer care and service we have ever experienced in our lives. Trust me, do not go through the stress and grief that we have gone through. If I could leave a 0 start I would. Horrific experience and treatment. If I could give no stars I would. I walked into the store with a few people behind us, all we're greeted except us. We were walking around no one asked if we needed help but the sales associate asked everyone else if they needed help. What really got me and my husband was that the store manager introduced himself to another couple but just walked right passed us and than turned around to ask if we needed help.
