I've always gone to big department stores. Then I went to Wayne Bedding in Bloomingdale. First of all it's a family owned business and they are the nicest guys ever. They know what they are talking about. They are friendly, knowledgeable and patient. I will never go back to Macy's. It seems like every time I go there whoever helps me seems like it's their first day in the mattress department. The delivery guys from Wayne bedding are the nicest guys I've ever had for a delivery. My husband's and my preferences in mattresses could be the basis of a commercial: he likes firm and supportive mattresses, whereas I prefer the squishiest of pillowtops. We headed over to a chain store to look at pricing, disappointing a salesman on our way out. To compare prices, we went to Wayne Bedding, which was on our way home. We poked around a few mattresses before being greeted by a gentleman who was more than happy to let us try all the mattresses and describe each one. We learned all about how the springs are built, what causes mattress to sag over time and how to prevent it. He let us try the really fancy $3000+ beds and described all of the technology in them, like extra support around the edges and really impressive cooling mechanisms. Someday we'll get one of those! Eventually we found a mattress we could agree on, which wasn't even on the floor (we are THAT picky, apparently.) Free delivery was scheduled for the following Saturday and the delivery guys arrived right on time. They set up the new bed and offered to wrap up the old set, which we were keeping. More importantly, they were very kind to my puppy, who was overjoyed to see some visitors and seriously disappointed that they had other things to do. He was knowledgeable and informative and took his time to ensure we were well-informed about our options and we were happy with our selection. We had our bed delivered and the two employees that came to the house were extremely friendly and set up and removed our old mattress very quickly. I have had a lot of trouble finding a comfortable mattress because of back issues. This was my third mattress this year. I would give Wayne bedding a 10 but it only went up to five. Peter helped me. He is so knowledgeable, patient and nice. He took everything I told him into consideration. I would never go back to a department store again. They really don't know much about mattresses. The workers go from one department to another wherever they are needed. Peter has been doing this for 30 years and knows what he's doing. I told him I didn't care how much it cost. He didn't take me to the most expensive bed in the store like department stores would do when you say that. I had it narrowed down between 2 beds and when I made my final decision Peter recommended the one I didn't pick. I trusted him and bought it. First the delivery guys were the nicest, polite, cheerful guys that I ever had in my house. I asked them to move 1 bed from one room to another room which they gladly did. The bed was so comfortable. I can't wait until tonight to sleep in it again. I wasn't pricing beds but when I got home I googled the bed to read about it and it was $200 less then any other store. Great family friendly service. We wanted to buy a mattress exactly like our daughters which of course the MFG does not make any more. Joe showed us what the exact equivalent is but listened to what we had the say about it and recommended we try another one and he was spot on right. We are loving our new mattress. Yes we may have been able to get it slightly cheaper from some other big store but Joe was not a pushy salesman let us do our thing and take our time. the first time i bought a bedding "set,: from you, instead (mr. non expert), of delivering me a regular (box spring and one mattress), you instead delivered me a (casket in a box which is equivalent to your delivery of two box springs (playing on my ignorance insofar as "bedding goes." the second time i bought a mattress from you, because the first one has done permanent damage to the curvature of my spine, i have been a pain patient for te past nine years and getting an attorney, tomorrow! i bought this mattress on october 4th 2013. my pain doctor told me it is such a piece od total trash, it was literally torturing me nightly since i purchased it! i strongly suggest no one buys anything from this trickset and charleton! unless they want their 1) back to break in two; and 3) end up in a casket (which is what he basically delivers ( caskets that damage your back until you kiel over and your back breaks into two pieces (my doctor indicated. plus, i have had to go out and buy an additional $100 (over) of mattress pads just to have a mattress to sleep on, because the one you sold me suck so bad! i guarantee you asshole,will have a very very good "week end," for this read more

These guys have to be kidding me. They call themselves a business? First of all they were totally impersonal when I went in the store. They didn't even get up to greet me or ask if I needed help. I should have gone with my gut and gone somewhere else, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Three months later my furniture was delivered and damaged. They reluctantly took it back and promised to "rush" replacements. Another three months later and I was getting a second delivery of furniture that was damaged. I was so frustrated that I accepted . Asked for replacement parts and touch up paint and I am still waiting. After all of that, the price they charged me wasn't even that great. read more

If you need a mattress or other bedding related product this is your best bet. Visiting relatives in the area we wanted to purchase new mattresses as a gift -- fast. Though they would have delivered - at our choice we wanted to pick up ourselves - with one phone call and a stop in the store in Bloomingdale we had all we needed in about 15 mins with some of the best and most knowledgeable customer service we've experienced. The product was very high quality and pricing more than fare - they even took the old mattresses from us so we didn't have to figure out where to put them. In this day and age of big box stores - it was a pleasure to work with this local store -( apparently they have one in Wayne too) I know if there is a problem I can give them a call and they will "take care of it". I also noticed they have very nice bedroom sets and furniture as well. I highly recommend Wayne Bedding - they were so good to us. read more
