Just bought a dresser from RH Paramus only 4 days before Memorial Day. I asked the sales rep if they would be having a sale, but they said they don't know. 2 days after purchase, I get a text saying they are having a 10% sales clearance. Store manager won't issue price adjustment. Additionally their delivery vendor scratched my floors and walls. Good luck with getting customer service because these guys couldn't careless what happens to you after the sale. Very disappointed with level of service. RH is supposed to be a premium brand, but their customer service is extremely lackluster. Next time, I'll take my business to Room & Board. read more

I learned a lot about our RH outlet at this location, but the hard way because the storage bed I was going to purchase was sold the night before and was not updated in their internal system in time. Tips -so definitely call advance to confirm they still have furniture before making the trip. This location is an old department store so this is the largest showroom in NJ. They have 2 floors with second floor is all outdoor furniture. They really don't get a lot of storage beds but get two deliveries a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. read more

Not sure about all the bad reviews! I absolutely love this place. Yes the inventory is inconsistent but it is an OUTLET and prices directly reflect how long the item has been sitting in the showroom. The longer it is there the lower the price, very simple concept! Everyone that works there is amazing! I was eyeing a piece and was able to call and check the price/availability, they even called me a year later when the matching nightstands arrived at the store! The inventory at the RH in Paramus is inconsistent. Although the concept sounds great, the furniture there is still overpriced. For example a $14,000 leather small L-shaped Maxwell couch discounted between $9800-$12,000. Another example of this is the geode they were selling for over $100, I got a similar one at West Elm for a fraction of the price that looks almost the same. Additionally, it is difficult to find pairs of clubs/pilot chairs, you might find the style you want but can't find a second one to create symmetry in your designs. read more

Really not a nice store at all. From the highway, you can barely tell where the entrance is. When you get inside, it's a big warehouse with no frills. I know it's an outlet, but the couches were pretty gross. They had bleach stains, sunken in, damaged etc and RH still had the guts to ask for $5-7k for a sofa. We walked in, did a short lap, and walked out. I don't recommend stopping here. read more

Very disappointing experience here for a brand that is otherwise well respected. This showroom is a barron wasteland. It's has mostly damaged floor samples sold "as is." Replacement parts are not always available for the furniture so if they're damaged, buyer beware. I usually love everything Restoration Hardware but this outlet left a bad taste. It's gone downhill significantly in the last two years. You used to be able to haggle, can't do that now. Periodically they would run sales like buy one chair get one half off, not anymore. The furniture now is all stained or ripped or looks like it's been in someone's house for years. The stuff is barely discounted if you look at the original price on the website (sometimes not even marked correctly). You are better off becoming a member on RH.com because that way when it breaks or if something happens to it you can at least return it. Oh and when things don't sell for a period of time they DESTROY THEM and throw them in the dumpster out back. They could be donating this stuff to people in need. RIP RH OUTLET. read more

Wow absolutely horrific Customer Service by the manager!! didn't get his name but he's a white male about 35 years old with white grayish hair. I Purchased a lamp from the outlet store literally walked out the door into the parking lot and realized that I really didn't need it for the space that I was buying it for so I returned it into store to simply asked for a refund. ( literally 1 minute maximum) The manager went off on me in front of other customers in the store basically almost screaming at me saying we don't offer refunds here I can offer you a credit " I can offer you a credit that's all I can do for you" and that's being nice we don't offer refunds hear clearly states it on the receipt if you read the receipt!! and I explain to him like four times over that all I did is just basically walk out the door and come back in the store. With tons of "made" in asia or eastern europe home furnishings on the market these days -- I find it difficult to distinguish quality. Original style and design is one thing -- and it is reasonable to pay a premium for that -- but the finish quality of the merchandise in this store seems marginal overall -- making it hard to correlate with price. My impression is that RH caters to folks who are happy to overpay -- so long as they can say they bought from Restoration Hardware. This outlet stocks their returns -- or what seems to be true in most cases -- damaged items -- at slightly below the already ridiculously high catalog prices for new. Gives you an opportunity to take the stuff for a spin before you buy -- none of it overly impressive. I liked this location better when Sy Syms owned it and sold deeply discounted brand name clothing to "educated consumers." Most of what I found, including furniture, rugs and lamps -- are available in the same quality -- imported from the same country -- online -- at much better prices. With RH's no return policy, you could get stuck with a lemon if you buy here -- so buyer beware. Even the store manager was upfront about this issue. Many of the rugs (which RH resells at a considerable markup) are locally available direct from the rug importer -- at well below the discounted RH price. Sure -- the rustic -- "reclaimed" modern look is hot today -- but for my money -- I'd rather spend RH retail pricing or even a bit more -- to have it made for me custom -- or source the same mass produced stuff online for much less. Any outlet is a hit or a miss...depending on shipment frequency, what they receive on shipment days, seasons, daily sales/promotion, etc. My husband and I walked into RH Outlet in Paramus just to take a look and to see what was there as a baseline analysis. We initially thought RH was too out of our budget to furnish our new home. Like any outlet, you have to really look around to search for items that you can work with. We also checked out RH Outlet in Riverhead. That location is a LOT smaller with fewer options. Even if the Riverhead location is smaller and more intimate than the Paramus location, we did not feel welcomed and I don't think anyone asked us if we needed help. When we were browsing at the huge Paramus location, 3 associates asked us if we needed help and to let them know if we had any questions. David, the sales manager, was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very honest, not pushy, charismatic and really helped us navigate and choose a great couch for our place. The couch was expensive but the additional 40%off sale that was going on at the time definitely helped our wallets. Now we have a beautiful leather cloud sectional...something we could never have even dreamed of owning if we had to buy at retail/MSRP pricing. Thank you, Dave! read more

The items are mislabeled, the price they claim is much higher than in main store. For example the planter was labeled as 1250 main store price and 620 outlet price where, in reality the main store price was 750, not 1250. We noticed that on many items on multiple occasions. Do not leave anything there for pick-up later as they will damage it in the storage area and offer you.a 10 percent discount, which is a joke. Purchased a sofa here and was referred to a delivery company that was in-house. I was having problems with getting my delivery due to communication issues the delivery company. Called RH to see if they can talk with the company to get my sofa on scheduled date as guaranteed but instead of getting assistance from the manager Adam he instead rudely talked down to me and didn't listen to the issue I was having with the deli ery company he referred me too. This store has done a huge turnaround since opening. I try to come thru at least once a month as my grocery & hardware stores are along that route, so I reward my curious mind when I can. As with most businesses, it does take them some time to figure out area market, consumer, & pricing. I only mention this due to lower reviews from others left in the past. I think in the short amount of time they have been open, they now have the wheels rolling! I was left with the most last impressions when I was stopped by in December & just this week. The store was having 30% & 50% off sales on everything, which is pretty phenomenal once you think about how items are already at reduced lowered prices. I saw a leather arm chair yesterday that would be $450 with the discount. I saw dining chairs that would be about $150 with the sale price. I know these dining chairs well as I have been eyeing them online & they usually are about $395. As with any sort of outlet, some items are returns or custom orders that did not meet expectations of a buyer. Many items are perfect, new condition & of course - some are "scratch / dent" type condition. The store is huge. 2 levels. Every kind of product RH carries. The have small accessories, bedding, & the obvious furniture for dining, living, bed, baby, & outdoor. Items are separated by category. The past few times I have come in, I work with an associate named Alicia (Caucasian woman, thin build, long hair). It is so nice to have help from someone that knows the RH product well & has a designer eye to help me when I am looking for something for my home or for a client that I often later send into the store. She would be the quintessential person I would seek to help me upon entering a warehouse sized building with rows & rows of items for the home. While it is an outlet, it is fantastic to have Alicia provide service & expertise as if it were a furniture showroom with endless choices. Before contacting this location I read the Yelp reviews and they were horrible. I do believe that when someone expresses themselves, it is truly what they personally experienced and should not be refuted. But there is always a better way in handling a situation that can turn into a wonderful and positive outcome. So my husband and I were remodeling our bathroom. Since I'm very particular, there were several items that I specifically wanted from RH Outlet. The outlet price was right and it fit our budget. I first contacted Joan at RH Outet in Paramus, NJ, she was absolutely fabulous! She along with a manager Alyssa, really brought our renovation to life. It took us three months to complete, but there is truth in the statement "patience is a virtue". These two ladies were instrumental in getting me the exact items I needed. Now, I can't say that I didn't have any issues. I can say that the issues were resolved with compassion, expedience, care and kindness. Believe me, Joan & Alyssa are the best at whatever they do. If you have an issue, don't be aggressive just be patient and find the right person at that location and kindly explain what you want. Joan and Alyssa aren't just working for RH Outet, but they are also amazing and accomplished women. Sometimes you have to take the time out to get to know people and thank them for their service. I gave this RH location a well-deserved 5 stars because of the effort, kindness, warmth and genuine appreciation for helping us with our project. Unless they're giving an additional percentage off (which is occasionally) it's better to purchase on-line and get undamaged merchandise, plus you have to make your own delivery arrangments which will add to the cost. I went to Restoration Hardware Outlet in Paramus, NJ to purchase the Dillon Train Rack for the bathroom. Restoration Hardware is a high end home furnishing store, so their products are expensive. I want the good stuff, but not the high prices. It was difficult to find this particular model in the outlet stores. After much searching, I found the rack in Paramus. It was only $132, a HUGE saving from the original $415 price tag. I live in NYC and didn't have a car available and there is very little public transportation out there. My boyfriend could drive me, but he couldn't on Saturday and the store is closed on Sunday (as are all stores in Paramus), so by the time I got there on Tuesday, the sale was over, and the rack costed $235. I purchased it anyway, but was miffed that I wasn't told that there was a sale that was ending on Saturday. If I knew that, I would have figured out how to get there on Saturday. The store itself is okay, it is a warehouse set up and you really need to stay there for a while to look over everything to find the bargains. Items are pricey for an outlet store, which is why everyone was there during the sale because it is very rare for RH to give 40% off products. I only saved $25 per $100 spent. The sales guy was very nice, gave me as much a discount as he could and explained how to sign up for emails so I can be notified when the sales take place. I would like to check out the other outlets. Know your RH products before going so you know if you are really getting a bargain. read more

I came to this location looking for a cloud couch and found exactly what I was going to buy from the normal store but in a better fabric. The sales staff was fantastic and told me that they would discount it further based on a stain on the back of one of the pieces. I ended up purchasing 2 sections for the price of one and found a matching ottoman upstairs that they also discounted for me. So, I walked in and I was feeling skeptical and to my surprise I was very pleased. You will find great piece of furniture at a great price. You have to be patient and go in with time. Take a look at what you want and inspect whatever you'll be buying. Somethings are banged up but a a little TLC will go along. I definitely recommend this place and the prices are good compared to the store prices. I am in love with my new coffee table, the quality is not comparable to other furniture stores. You definitely get what you pay for quality and durability. Also, the manager that assist us Mr. Vazquez was nice and helpful as well as the lady in the register.
