My husband stopped by the store as we were looking to purchase a new dining room set and possibly a new living room set. He was dress professionally as he had just finished his day with WELL KNOWN COMPUTER Company. Well he was in there quite a while, however NOT ONE SALES ASSOCIATE EVEN APPROACHED HIM OR ASKED IF THEY COULD ASSIST HIM, AS THEY WERE TO BUSY CHATTING, LAUGH IT UP BEHIND THE REGISTER. Let me say, we are not the richest people but we are far from poor! They looked at him several time only to turn away, this was such a horrible feeling, those IDIOTS were turning their SNOBBY ASS NOSES DOWN AT A him because he was HISPANIC and APPARENTLY didn't fit their protocol of a great sale!! LET ME TELL YOU SALES PEOPLE SOMETHING, APPEARANCES CAN BE DECEIVING AND YOU LOST A GREAT SALE. Just when he thought he had enough and was on his way out he noticed a elder lady who coming into the store. She in a white lady, in a wheelchair, attended by her husband and a caregiver, she appeared to be financially well off. Then he noticed the sales ladies come running so fast, they almost ran into one another to get to her. He just stood their shaking his head at the "sales people" who once again LOOKED AT HIM, LOOKED AWAY AND IGNORED HIM!!! I contacted the store that evening asked to speak to the manager, where I was LIED to. The receptionist told me there are no managers in!!! As asked that she relay a message to the manager and asked that they return my call, as I assumed the manager just might care about this issue, I was terribly mistaken. As I finished talking to the receptions she then tells me "I'll give the manager your message, however they are in a meeting and I'm not sure they will be out before we close tonight...A 3 hour meeting, REALLY??? I was assured me I would get a call back...THAT WAS 4 DAYS AGO AND I GOT THE SAME RESPONSE MY HUSBAND DID...I WAS IGNORED!!! I AM FILING A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE CORPORATE OFFICE, THE BBB, LOCAL NEWS MEDIA AND MAY EVEN CONTACT OUR ATTORNEY FOR DISCRIMINATION!! Needless to say the least WE WILL NOT BE BACK, NOR WILL ANY OF OUR FRIENDS, FAMILY OR ANYONE ELSE WE CAN DISCOURAGE FROM SUCH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. You saved us from making the BIGGEST mistake of purchasing that shit you call furniture...That that falls apart, breaks within month of their purchase and customers are made to pay for the repairs when it should be covered under some kind of warranty! I was lucky to be helped by Ruth when I made my purchases at this store. She was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. After going to every run of the mill furniture store along Blackstone, I entered Ashley Homestore. I could recognize a lot of furniture pieces they had from other stores, but Ashley is the store that manufactures all of the pieces every other store has. Because of this, their prices are outrageously affordable. Another reviewer commented that you can received a 25% discount, this is NOT a lie. I received a 25% discount on my entire purchase. Reviewers on here are commenting negatively about the amount of time it takes to receive their purchases. This was stated clearly to us the moment we were asked, "How soon do you need to furnish your rooms?" If you say you need it sooner (within 1-2 weeks), this store may not be able to accommodate you. However, they state that very clearly to you, there is no dishonesty here. It was explained to me that their products come from the distributor in Visalia and that some products are on back order. This is all very understandable and not outrageous as other reviewers are stating. I highly recommend you do the opposite of what I did and START at Ashley Homestore. I asked to speak to a manager, so she calls the manager. When the manager answered the call, instead of introducing himself he started the conversation as "what do you want," and why are you cursing at us. I was surprised and ask what are you talking about and if this call is recoded please review the call before accusing me, he wasn't even professional and hung up the phone. I told the manager I will call Cooperate store he laughed and said yeah go ahead. When I mentioned I will write a review on yelp he said sure go ahead. I called back Vanessa and him started laughing and said look she is calling again. The manager's name was Daivan. He mentioned if I can saw him proof of my warranty purchase they will refund my money. Later when I call another employee named Mozias answered and offered 50% off any purchase in the store, when I went to the store on BLK Friday he changed said I offered additional 10% only and free delivery. Little they know that customers like us purchasing furniture are paying their paycheck and our money is the reason why this store is still open. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you like being insulted and humiliated than by all means go. I called the Cooperate office and so far there has been no response yet. We had a great shopping experience. First I talked to Andre on the phone, he was very helpful and courteous. We decided to see the items in person, so we went to the RiverPark store. We got a friendly hello by the girls at the desk, who were also friendly and helpful, didn't get bombarded by salespeople, looked around, found what we wanted, then went and asked for Andre who was again, very pleasant and helpful. They said the items would be three to four weeks for delivery, we went in on Saturday they called Tuesday to set up delivery! Now, as far as the distribution center in Visalia, I wouldn't rate them as high. There were issues with two of the ordered items, They said they would check the replaced items BEFORE re delivery. They were re delivered today and are worse than the first ones. So I'm assuming in about three weeks, we try again. Not happy about clearing everything off and out of the items again, waiting for the items and re re delivery. I HOPE they check them REALLY REALLY good, like they were buying them, the next go around. The delivery men and customer service people have all been very polite and helpful, this boils down to who's in charge in Visalia, I would give them a zero. My mom and I went in to Ashley looking for a mattress and a new bedroom set and Angie the sales Associate had greeted us at the front door and had mentioned the current promotion that they were having and then she had mentioned that she gives us a $50% off on the bedroom set if she had purchased a Tempurpedic. And so my mom was really shocked about the discount and she told Angie can u show us the Tempurpedic. So Angie took us back to the mattress gallery and we tried 3 different Tempurpedic and had given us a comfort test to find the right mattress., and then she said I'll give u few minutes to try it out! A few minutes later Angie had came back to the mattress gallery.hows it going? Did we decide on the mattress. Then we said we have a made a decision let's go with this one. So Angie said awesome. I'm gna take you to the financing machine and get this financed. and I'm gna get my Manager Devin Involved. So while the manager came over to do the paperwork with Angie he told my mom and I that he was going to give us some gift cards and also he given us a discount on the pillows buy 1 get one $50% off.u mom was shocked and very pleased with the customer service that Angie and Devin had given us that day. Ashley's Furniture HomeStore in Fresno was the WORST experience I've ever had buying furniture. I was lied to, talked down to and treated to so much disrespect if it hasn't been for the fact my daughter was excited about her furniture and we couldn't find anything else she liked so much, (TRUST ME, WE TRIED!) I would of backed out. Luckily Alisen in distribution dug their butt out of the dirt. The female manager at Ashley's HomeStore - Jackie - Was so the RUDEST person I've ever talked to. When I asked to speak to another manager she said "Im it" and when I asked to talk to corporate, she told me "Don't bother, they will just send you back to me" she argued with me and I've dealt w a LOT of retail customer service people. I've bought furniture, cars and other expensive goods, including a home, and NEVER in my life was I so disrespected! She lied to me over and over again about delivery dates. Alisen with distribution fixed it all but to be honest even with her help, it will be a cold day in hell before I purchase again from Ashley's. while she did work hard to get my stuff delivered within the time zone, that was what Ashleys promised and should of been normal, not the exception. GREAT quality furniture. Interior designer who put the show rooms together did an amazing job. We even purchase our tables and laps along with our sofa. Go for the sales; super great prices. Provide financing, but pay with cash if you have the cash. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PATTY McNAIR. She was the best sales person I got. She asks you what you are looking for, and helps you find it. She even lets you explore the whole store just to make sure that you are comfortable with your purchase; does not push you into buying. I LOVE THAT ABOUT HER. Delivery service was off the ball. Did not wait until all my items were delivered altogether, so I would have been charged for a second delivery for the rest of my stuff. But the Showroom store made the warehouse deliver (Visalia Distribution Center) second run at no charge. Thank you Ashley Furniture. NOTE: When the delivery guys come, MAKE SURE YOU INSPECT EVERYTHING! You don't want to get stuck with a ripped chair or a damaged piece of furniture. My husband and I were in the Fresno Store in January and picked out a couch set and took a picture of the price sign and the set. We couldn't purchase that day since our house was not ready yet. We went back today and noticed they had jacked the price up $1,000.00. We asked the sales associate if they could price match what they advertised in January and thankfully I had a picture of it. She said NO. We said ok we will go elsewhere. She did not try and make the sale by asking a Manager. We were at the front desk and LeeAnn overheard us talking about what just happened. She jumped in and tried to help us and got the store manager who was able to get us exactly what we were asking and had a sales associate Bryan write up the deal and with that we even purchased an extra piece. First off, wow! What a display!! This store is absolutely beautiful!! I was in the market for new couches. I had been shopping around at other places and had seen some stuff I liked, but wasn't to sure! I found an Ashley product at another store and almost got it, but then I looked at Ashley homestore first. And guess what! they beat the price on the couch the other place was offering! I ended up getting my whole living room set, rug, lamps and all. My associate was really nice and helpful, which lets face it, is a rare thing. I was greeted when entering the store but not bombarded or followed like I had been at the others. The sales guy let me browse but was close by to answer questions. When I got up to the front desk to pay, the girls up there were so nice and helpful. They all looked like they really enjoyed there job. It was a great time and I am one happy customer! read more

This store is a Very Nice Experience for Anyone....Over Memorial Day weekend I purchased a living room set . Jenni was my sales person who was very professional, but personable. She listened to what I was interested in and acted accordingly to present me with intelligent choices and seemed to latch on to my taste and fit with some versatility offered. She was very patient with me and that got her more sales than I originally even planned on. No one in the store seemed pushy or desperate for sales to a point that actually runs a person out of the store. The office personnel were great also.
