The minute we walked into the store, we were bombarded by our sales person. We could not just look without her hot on our heels. While we still made a purchase (that won't be delivered for over a month), I feel like we were dealing with a used car salesman. We also were charged for a 5-year protection plan without being asked if we wanted it for the table and chairs we purchased. When we said we did not want the plan, they were very put off by having to write up the paperwork for the $169.99. We were then informed that it would take several days to get the refund b/c there was not a manager on duty who could take care of it. In addition, we had to explain to the cashier (more than once) that $169.99 was NOT the full refund b/c we were charged tax on that amount as well. I went to this store on 10/2/20, to look for new furniture. I have said before that I would not be buying furniture again from Ashley's after a few past bad experiences. I was promised a delivery on 10/10/20. It is now December 1st and still no furniture. Their service hotline (to call and check orders) has very rude staff that promises that furniture is in stock on a particular date, but then never calls when it is ready. It is coming on up two months with no furniture and I am finished with shopping at Ashley's. At first I was trying to be considerate with current events, but now it is getting ridiculous. I am beyond aggravated! I loved our salesperson Ashley Johnson. She was sweet and personable. What I HATE is not being able to get a hold of anyone at that store! I tried customer service, was on hold for 30 minutes and told my table would not arrive until December! Purchased mid September. Customer service basically said too bad so sad! I tried calling Greenwood Indiana location multiple times, left several messages and never get a return call! It is unacceptable to wait this long for a table regardless of COVID! But not being able to even speak to someone is the worst part! Customer Service said I just might have to go to the store! Sorry, I don't live close and that isn't how it should be! DO NOT BUY ANY ASHLEY FURNITURE. They will scratch your walls, muddy up your carpet with their shoes then leave you damaged furniture. They direct you to their great customer service department that won't help you and lies about looking into the issue. Within 30 minutes, I had all my furniture picked out and paid for. It was the easiest shopping experience I've ever had. Worst place to buy from, had a huge issue with them for 7months, they showed up about 3-4 times at my house to deliver my son's bedroom set, always missing pieces; ended up returning my son's furniture. Had issues also with all their personnel, always directing my call to the wrong person, they never returned their calls (24-48 hrs never happened), i was also given a credit of $500 and after 7 months of dealing with them, Ms Sharon Harris decided that she cant do that anymore and only $250 was request to be credited back to my account. Meant to furnish my whole new house with you guys, you lost a customer. Did i mentioned that i visited the store millions of times (since face to face was always more accurate than calling the store) and they always seemed to hide from me!! Like really store manager?? Do not buy from this company!!! All they care about is getting all of your money and nothing about customer service. On January 31st we purchase a chaise and rocker recliner from the Greenwood, Indiana store. The furniture had to be special ordered. We declined having Ashley deliver the furniture and saving about $100. On February 18th we were called that the furniture was available for pickup. We picked up the furniture in boxes on the 19th. Upon unpackaging the furniture we found 2 issues. One with the chaise, rub mark. One with the rocker recliner, glue or something on the armrest. I called the "We Care" number on my paper work that was not explained to me, signed by a Ashley Furniture HomeStore Representative or signed by myself. The lady at the "We Care" number simply quoted company policy that it would have to be returned to the distribution center. I proceeded to call the Greenwood store, and spoke with Morgan. Again, I was quoted company policy. I asked to speak with a manager. Instead of getting a manager that was in the store to speak to me, she told me that she would have a manger call me on Monday. On Monday the 22nd, I never received a phone call from the manager that was suppose to call me. So, after I got off work at 6 and working almost 11 hours, I went back to the store. I spoke with a lady and a gentleman by the name of Andy. They took my information, I showed them the damaged, and Andy told me he was going to try and get a replacement of each piece since they came out of the box damaged. The lady told me that she would call me with the support ticket reference number. Guess what? She never called! I was not contacted by anyone from Ashley until 5:58 this evening, the 24th. They lady that contacted me from the "We Care" number didn't even identify herself. Once again quoted policy. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I got, "I am the supervisor". When I asked to speak with her supervisor, I got "he's not here". I am not going to hold my breathe that he is actually going to call. What I have learned is that unless you spend your hard earned money on everything that Ashley is trying to sell you, including delivery fees, they have no interest whatsoever in helping you. The way this past week has gone, there is no way I will load the furniture up and take to the distribution center. Ashley will only find a way out of repairing or replacing the furniture. I'm guessing that the fine print under the "We Care" logo on my paperwork says something like: "We Care only about your money".... read more

BUYER BEWARE: I was not thrilled with my experience in the store, so I came home and was reviewing the details of my order. Imagine my shock and surprise when I find the base price for a couple of the items I purchased listed for less on the Ashley Homestore website than what I was charged. After further investigation, I found the EXACT SAME furniture on Amazon for nearly $500 less! When I called the salesperson the following day, I was told that its fairly common for the price in the store to be higher. I was also told that the store manager would contact me "shortly" to address my questions/issues. I even asked what duration "shortly" meant, and was told "a few minutes". Well, evidently "shortly" is over 2 hours, and I missed the call because I had errands to run. Then I couldn't get in contact with anyone at the store. Every time I called it would ring and go to voicemail, so I had to go back to the store. At the store I did finally get to speak with the store manager, who showed absolutely no concern or apology for the experience I'd had with the store. This is also when I learned that the store is considered an Ashley franchise. Evidently this means the store DOES NOT FOLLOW THE SAME PRICE MATCH POLICY as on the Ashley website, because I was told they COULD NOT DO A PRICE MATCH with Amanzon. They will not even do an Amazon price match if the order was fulfilled by Amazon. At this point I decided to cancel the entire order. I had hoped that since it had been less than 24hr since I placed the order that I would not be required to pay the 10% cancellation fee. I was wrong. Not only was I wrong, but the CANCELLATION FEE ALSO APPLIES TO DELIVERY FEES & TAXES. Sadly, even with being out the 10% cancellation fee, I will still have payed less by purchasing the furniture online. If you decide to shop at this store, make sure to do your due diligence on the item you are considering. I definitely would not recommend agreeing to a price and/or signing anything until after you go home and make sure you are not being overcharged. read more

The people at the showroom were gracious and patient. After scheduling a delivery date, the company changed it on us and didn't afford us a reason. Then on the date they changed it to, they called my number (I was at work) instead of my wife's number (who had taken the day off to deal with the delivery). They claimed to call all three numbers on the delivery slip we filled out....problem is we only gave them two. LIE. They claimed to wait outside of my house for 20 minutes, never knocking on the door. ANOTHER LIE. Pardon me people at Ashley furniture, did we not pay for delivery and assembly? So why don't you call your lying drivers and have them turn around and deliver the product we paid for, the product you have in your possession, and the product you are contractually obligated to deliver today (9/20/2019). We were very impressed with the service and selection that we found at the Greenwood Ashley location. We were greeted at the door and informed of their current promotions. The salesman was very nice and told us where to go to find the kids beds we were looking for. He then met us later and asked if we needed help. There was no pressure at all, which you almost always get at furniture stores. We ended up buying two beds and were out the door in about an hour. They had exactly what my daughters were looking for and for a good price. They will definitely be my first stop for any further furniture needs. read more

We purchased many items from Ashley, Texas, Louisiana, Las Vegas, and then we went to Ashley Furniture in Greenwood, IN. We found a perfect table, chairs, and server. We didn't want the two end chairs that were on display, they had loose legs, and not in good shape. The salesman got the manager who promised we would get new ones when the table and server were delivered, GREAT NEWS!!! They gave us the delivery date and said if we needed to change the date we could call, we did, changed the date a couple of days. Then the day they originally told us ... they called to confirm that date. We explained we had changed the date, the lady said she couldn't do, we had to call this number. We changed our plans to meet their date because changing it had become a hassle. The night before they called us and asked if we picked up the two end chairs because they didn't have them. We went back to Ashley and spoke to a manager who said he replaced the manager that was there when we purchased the table, chairs, and server because the store had so many problems that he had been sent there to fix them. We explained about the end chairs, he asked us to take the two end chairs on display because they didn't come with the table and were a carry out product, and he would call us to let us know when the new end chairs were in, or if he could even get them. The furniture was to be delivered the next day. One hour before the furniture was to be delivered we received a call from the delivery people stating they were NOT going to deliver because the furniture was damaged, and his manager would call us later that day, he/she NEVER called. We waited one week for the manager of the store to call us, he NEVER did, nor did the manager of the delivery person ever called. We went back to just get a refund, only to be greeted by the lady in their service center to be as rude and uncaring as any employee ever could be!!! The manager then try to blame the salesperson, who was the only one who did his job, and was very nice for not calling us. We will NEVEr shop Ashley again, NEVER!!! read more

Completely agree with the previous 2 reviews. As I type this, they have kept me on hold for 25 min. We bought furniture and were told we would get delivery after a month and we agreed. Yesterday, waited for the whole day and nothing showed up as confirmed. Now they are pushing delivery to Oct 12 - must be kidding. I want to cancel but it seems they are covered with a 10% cancellation fee - what? For no fault of mine .... And the 2 managers are never available. 2 days I have called and they have been busy and no call back in spite of promise. A few weeks ago we went into this store looking for a sofa and chair. Our sales associate, Eric Zenor, assured us that if we ordered our sofa that day, we would receive the sofa "at latest by New Years". After paying for the sofa though, we were told that it wouldn't be available until January 4th. And customer service informed us that we couldn't cancel the order once it was received. My first experience here will unfortunately be my last. The store employees were great - helpful, courteous and kind. Our salesperson Kevin was perfect. But the nightmare that is their delivery department ruined my experience. Issue #1: I discovered - not because anyone called me but because I called to confirm my delivery date and it came up in my conversation - that the bed I ordered was on a "manufacturing delay" and would not be delivered on the same day as the mattress/box springs. Issue #2: After moving both deliveries to the same day, and the person at the call center assuring me she had everything set up for me in the new date - I kept getting robo-calls to confirm the old delivery date. Called back to find out that the previous person I had spoken to had not in fact moved both deliveries to the new date. So I sat on the phone again while that was corrected (again). Issue #3: After getting up early to disassemble our bed and make the room ready for delivery, no one showed up on our delivery date. When I called to find out what was going on, I was told that someone had attempted delivery earlier but no one was at home. Which was impossible because I had been sitting in my living room for hours - waiting on them - afraid to even use the restroom for fear of missing a knock at the door. Since I was supposed to get a call 30 mins before they came out, I asked why no one had called. They insisted they had called my husband and left a voicemail (He had a 3-second long message from an unrecognized number in which the caller did not identify him/herself.), that the had called another number I did not recognize, and that they had called my number and received a busy signal (I had no missed calls or voicemails, and getting a "busy signal" is not possible; missed calls would have gone to voicemail.) Issue #4: I went down to the store to get some help since no one at the call center would do anything but reschedule the delivery for several days later. And, while everyone at the store tried to help, the most they could do for me was schedule a new delivery for the next day. So, because my old bed was disassembled, and the mattress had been sitting in the dirty garage all day, I spent the night in a hotel. Issue #5: The morning of the rescheduled delivery, I get a call from the delivery warehouse stating that the footboard for my bed is broken and that they will have to deliver a "loaner" to me, put in an order for a new footboard, and schedule ANOTHER delivery in a few weeks. When I ask if the paperwork I sign after they set everything up today will reflect that I am getting a loaner and a new footboard is coming later, I am told no, the paperwork will read as though I am accepting the bed in its current condition. I paid a $250 delivery and setup fee for this. I have a hotel bill, a Frankenstein bed, and NO confidence that my footboard will ever arrive. This is poor business and terrible customer service. I purchased a love seat and couch 5 weeks ago and was told it would take 3-4 weeks to come in. At the four week mark the day before it was to be delivered I got a text message saying I would get a partial delivery so I called to find out that the couch wasn't in and that it would be available the next week. I decided to wait and have both delivered the following week. This week I got a phone conformation that my couch and love seat would be delivered today between 11-2 at 4 when I got off I was informed by my husband that our couches never came I called customer service only to find out that my delivery was canceled and I supposedly had gotten a call telling me it was cancelled on Wednesday (never got a call and why did I get a confirmation on Thursday if it was cancelled on Wednesday) I was told my couch and love seat were not in but would be in on the 30th so I scheduled on the 31. Shortly after I called the store and asked to speak to shipping where I was told that no my couch wouldn't be in until the 6th and that no where does it say the 30th so I'm schedule for the 7th of April. Now I asked if I could cancel seeing how it now will be almost 7 weeks with no couch and was told I'd have to pay 10% even though it was them who didn't know the couch was on back order when I ordered it how did they not know this til a week it was supposed to be delivered. I'm sure it was back ordered when I bought it or that's how they made it sound and they offer no discount no covered delivery even though all of this has been a huge inconvenience for me. Who in their right mind buys furniture and waits over 3 months. The items we purchased were all in the warehouse except one of the couches. The next call everything was gone. We ordered a mattress and base on 04/18/21. We were told it would be delivered the first week of May. On May 10th I contacted Ashley and was told the mattress is not expected in until May 29th. On June 1st we received an automated call stating our furniture would be delivered on Saturday and we would be contacted within 48 hours of delivery of a time window. We then canceled our out of state trip for the weekend. On the evening of June 3rd we decided to go to store and pick up mattress pad that had arrived. We also checked on the delivery time. That is when we were told by the Operations Manager Joseph Giordano that the call was an error and the mattress was not in yet. He then told us the mattress is expected to arrive in their warehouse on June 30th. No phone call! Just that! I could not believe it. I asked for the order to be canceled and was then told by Joseph that there would be a 10% cancellation fee! He knows how to handle customers! He sat at his desk and told me there was nothing he could do! I explained that the our salesperson, Emily had told us to expect delivery the first week of May. He then proceeded to tell me that is not what she had said and she had no reason to lie. Either do I !!!! I am not a liar, just stating the facts! He then told me he was cancelling the order and it would be up to the audit department to waive the 10% fee! This is not how you treat a customer that has spent $5,000 at your store and not received a product as promised! read more

So after driving all over Indianapolis looking at chairs for our dining room my wife and I decided to give Ashley in Greenwood, Indiana a shot. OMG, our sales associate, Kati Cridlin was amazing. Very professional, high sales standards and gave us plenty of time to talk about the chairs we liked and what were are best options for paying for them. Never pushed us into making a deal. These people are unbelievable! Purchased a sofa and 2 recliners 1/26/2014. Was supposed to be in Feb 6, 2014 and finally got it Feb 26, 2014. 2 of the 3 pieces were damaged. They fixed the couch but we didn't know the chassis was damaged until we unboxed it. The seam want sewn completely. I called to ask that they send someone to repair it but was told by a manager, Sharon Harris, that because we didn't get delivery we would need to bring it back for repair. I'm not going to list everything that happened with this order once they got our $1900.00 because it's just too much! I will say that once you buy from them you are done for! No matter what the issue theywill not help you in any way! They have you sign a contract that stays that in other words but very freely tell you "you signed a contract". UPDATE-auto called from Ashley and told that July 11th(Saturday) delivery will now be July 8th(Wednesday). We work so called to get pushed back to the 11th. After calling customer service and speaking with Doris, she assured me she changed back to the 11th and to expect a call confirming. An hour later another auto call, stating we will get delivery on the 8th!! Call back to Doris, who agains assured me it will come on the 11th. 30 minutes later, receive an email stating our furniture will be delivered on the 8th. Call and get Doris again. She once again says delivery will be on the 11th. I'm willing to bet the house that they still show up to deliver on the 8th. I will update what happens read more

Purchased a couch on January 2nd. Delivery scheduled for the 22nd. The day the couch was supposed to be delivered, the delivery guys showed up, did not remove couch from the truck, just saw my staircase and said that it wouldn't fit. No attempt was made... They were here for 5 minutes tops. We called Ashley to see about a refund and they asked if the drivers attempted to deliver the couch. When we stated that they did not, they rescheduled delivery for the next day. No delivery came... Called back... They then stated they would have it there the following Monday.... Never came. So I went and bought a couch elsewhere. Funny. Same size couch and fit just fine. But now Ashley is charging me a cancelation fee of 10%!!!!! Complete BS. And ironically won't return any of my phone calls... I've left a message every single day for a week! Poor customer service! read more

Don't do buy anything from this store. We feel we were robbed by them. Placed order in this store on August 22nd for a couch and end table and were given an estimated delivery date of October 20th. After waiting for several weeks past that estimated date, the first delivery date we were actually given was December 4th. A delivery time was even given for that date. Mysteriously during that delivery time on December 4th the order was suddenly unavailable. After that date, have since tried to leave several messages for Greenwood store manager and have gotten no response. Visited the Avon store and they even left a message at Greenwood store on our behalf. Automated phone number gave a new delivery date of December 21st. Today, December 18th, the furniture again has no delivery date available. This is a ridiculous experience even given the Covid state of the world. We want to cancel the order and get a refund but unable to get store manager to respond. Repeatedly we were told only Greenwood store manager can help us but they are missing in action. read more

I bought new 'leather' furniture from here in 2012. Three years later, the fabric started to peel off. I bought the warranty that I was told covered everything. However when I went to file a claim, it didn't cover the fabric. I told myself that I would never go back to Ashley since they sold an inferior product and misrepresented the warranty. However, after more than six months of looking, I couldn't find new living room furniture I liked, so I found myself back at Ashley. I explained what happened and the manager, Christy, was very sympathetic and said she had heard the same complaint many times. She offered me an additional 5% discount. On February 25, I ordered a sectional. The saleslady drew out exactly how I wanted the pieces and then wrote down the order numbers. It was delivered Tuesday and the configuration was incorrect. I called the store Immediately and twice asked to speak to a manager. Both times I was told that the person I was talking to you could handle the issue. I never spoke to a manager. The lady said she would put a priority rush and re-order the correct pieces and I would receive a call Wednesday with a new delivery date. I also left a message to have Christy call me that evening. Today is Thursday and I have received no calls. I called again this morning and the same lady, Erica, who said she could take care of what I needed on Tuesday, set up a new delivery date of March 27 - a week late but workable since I will still be on spring break. She emailed the invoice and delivery notice to me. However it had the same incorrect pieces. I had to call back and this time spoke to my sales lady. She reordered the pieces, which I was told was going to be done on Tuesday. The new pieces won't even be in until April 4. They also cannot give me a delivery window at this time. I understand that this is how it normally works, however when you mess up an order, you should work much harder to accommodate the customer. I will now be without living room furniture for nearly 3 weeks and have to take a day off of work, which will take money out of my pocket. They offered me a $100 credit. That doesn't even cover the delivery charges. Updated: After speaking with that department, I stand by original review. Ashley has the worst customer service of any store I have ever dealt with. Their error is taking money out of my pocket and the best they can do is say sorry. My wife and I purchased a rather expensive Sealy mattress from this store in March of 2016. In early September of 2016, we noticed a large bulge in the side of the mattress. Therefore, a claim was filed with the store on 9/19/16. A representative from SAW Enterprises has come to our home three separate times with the most recent being 11/05/16. We did not hear a decision on the defect in the mattress until yesterday after we were told a separate warranty would not be honored on a love seat we purchased from the retailer. They claim the defect is due to sitting on the side of the mattress, which does not occur. Over half of the mattress has become separated from the top and bulges out of the side. We have escalated this to corporate whose customer service is absolutely horrible. Please avoid this retailer! read more

I really like this store. We have bought our living room set at the Greenwood location, and we bought a guest bedroom bed and mattress here. The first time we bought something we visited the store twice, and spent hours making up our minds. David helped us, but he was a very low pressure salesman, patient, listened to our needs, and helped us find a great leather sofa set that was on sale that weekend. Yesterday, we stopped back by to quickly find a guest bedroom bed. Bryan had us in and out of the store in under an hour which was great because this purchase was not hard for us to decide on- it was mostly based on budget! He honored our budget, found the bed and mattress that worked and will have it delivered before our company arrives. He too, was a very helpful salesman. Well, where do I start: I've done many reviews on this website and not getting any satisfaction: Here's the story....I bought over 4000.00 worth of furniture from this store. The tv stand, 2 end tables and a coffee table are all damaged. I had a repair person come out. Amy Jo from Sal Furniture repair that Ashley Furniture uses. She told me that my tv stand was previously damaged but she would try to fix it. I wasn't happy but she tried. The finish on the other pieces is peeling off. She told me it was because the finish was too thin. And to call the store and get replacement furniture or my money back. Well, of course they don't have the furniture any more. Amy Jo no longer works for the furniture repair place. So all I want is the copy of the report that Amy Jo wrote after fixing my furniture. So I called Ashley Furniture in Greenwood. 317-885-1171, they said they don't have the report and to call the furniture repair people. 1-843-900-2373, they don't have the report and told me to all another number 1-866-787-7930. They don't have the report. But wait! there is more! Amy Jo was sent out a 2nd time, but I got no call and took a day off work and she never showed up. I called and was told she was sick. So, she was sent out a 3rd time and I took a day off work and waited and got a call from the scheduling dept telling me she couldn't make it. So they scheduled another day: December 6 (tomorrow). I got 3 automated calls with 2 different times. So to make it easy or so I thought, I decided to do a different day, December 22. I then called back because I was trying to get the tech report and was told my date was changed to December 15, then back to December 6 for an emergency call! DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE!!! My husband and I purchased a leather sectional, dining table and chairs. We have had the these pieces for about a year now. The furniture is not made well and does not hold up to normal everyday use. It is JUNK. Save yourself and stay away from this place!!! read more

After being an Ashley customer for 20 years, I will never buy another Ashley product as long as I live. We purchased a sofa and loveseat set last year from the Greenfield store before we relocated from Indiana and when it arrived, the sofa was new but the loveseat was not. We had to wait for a tech to come out and look at the item and he agreed it could not be a new piece of furniture that arrived a week ago. Six weeks later our new loveseat was delivered. Since that time, the sofa cushions on the loveseat are sagging and it is not our fault. Also, the velcro wont stay attached under the cushion. I filed a claim with the warranty service because we had purchased insurance that supposedly provided extra protection for 'any and everything that can happen to the item". This claim was denied as we were told the coverage does not extend to issues related to structure of the furniture piece. We paid good money for this set and I am very disappointed that not only did it not last and was not worth the money but the sales agent who sold us the extra protection was not truthful about what the coverage would apply to. I advise anyone thinking of purchasing this coverage to not purchase the coverage and think twice about the item you are purchasing. The furniture looked good in the store but it proved to be far less quality than we expected and the insurance will not assist us in any way. We have only had the item now for about 18 months and no one can believe its current condition. It also creaks and one of the arms is weak. It is just my husband and I and it has not been abused as we take care of our stuff. Wish I could get a refund of the worthless insurance we paid for. Very disappointed! read more
