I had the worst experience ever with Ashley Furniture in Hawthorne California. I ordered a couch on September 21, which was to be delivered on 9/25. I waited all day and the truckers never showed they did call and say they couldn't find my address Now I have ordered several items from Ashley in the pass delivered to the same address by Ashley in Hawthorne and never had a problem Back to the story. So I had them reschedule my delivery for a second time again the delivery truck said couldn't find my address, so I called ashley in Hawthorne to verify my address and again they left off south kings road from my address know one had corrected the address again I spoke to a customer service representatives in Hawthorne , in my frustration she hung up on me, very unprofessional I called back and asked to speak with a supervisor at the Hawthorne location I spoke with someone named Tesbit she assured me everything would be taken care off and she rescheduled me for the third time for October 1, at this point I went up to the location in Hawthorne asked to speak with the store Manger Abraham young Hispanic guy , who could care less as to what I needed he had such a i don't care attitude ,at this point I was done where I just cancelled the whole order. ABSOLUTELY the worst furniture shopping experience of my life! I had to literally demand help, the 1st employee i encountered (Joshua C) was extremely disrespectful, arrogant, and knew nothing. He pointed to the front desk & told me to ask them where the products I were inquiring about were (after he pointed in one direction of the store and told me to look there; mind you, I had already walked the entire store looking for my (2) brands). So I happened upon the front desk where 5 employees were sitting with no customers and not one tried to help. I DEMANDED to speak to the supervisor, who was 'unavailable.' In the end, thanks to Ben S., who knew the store layout and the products, I was able to find my items and decide which I was going to purchase. Further beware: always check online price as they were lower, the store will quote you a totally higher price, but have to honor the online price (also, different stores and salespeople will quote different prices as well). In the end, I found an even better price through an independent retailer who sold ashley furniture ($40 less for loveseat and $40 less also for delivery). ZERO starts if I could. If you like the furniture, buy it with the mindset that you are taking it AS-IS. 3 times I was lied to about the warranties that come with Ashley products. They sell you on a warranty that covers accidents and anything happening to your product, however, when your products start to deteriorate or fall apart soon after you receive them, they will give you the run around and not replace it. The quality is questionable, and the salespeople are sharks. They will lie to your face to make the sale, and disappear the moment you need help with furniture that is falling apart. I'm going to living spaces or Jeromes next time. At least living spaces lets you pick up your furniture, and you don't have to pay $150 for delivery, and lose work to be home for your 4 hour window. read more

I hope somebody reads this review and gets scared of it and stays away from Ashley furniture. We've had the worst customer service and product quality ever in my life and I'm 61 years old of any furniture store I've ever been into. They are a cold hearted factory after every penny you have and of course after they make the sale you are nothing but a stranger to them. We had to deal with customer service on the phone at least 20 times and customer service in person at least five times and spoke to the manager at least five times and we are still 100% unhappy. We purchased Numerous pieces of furniture and mattresses and it is just poor poor poor quality. This was our first shopping experience and Ashley and I will definitely be our last, we will never go there again to buy anything because of managements Attitude and the poor poor quality of their products. Came into the store to browse around and received excellent support from an associate named Yvonne. She was very knowledgeable of the items and didn't pressure me into buying things. She was friendly and funny as well. Her manager Cammy also came over and provided additional support as well. You can tell they work well as a team. As for the merchandise, I bought a kitchen table and chair set with dishes. The quality of the items is great! Sturdy yet light with a modern design and the price was right for the item. Horrible service after they get your money. Breakdown: 1. Spent $10,000 on bed set and couches 2. Wrong bed delivered 3. Salesperson on phone tells me he forgot to ask which bed I wanted (they delivered one that was happy d as a rock) 4. Salesperson says they don't take returns?! ( but you made the mistake Ashley!) 5. Called 5 times to the store and can never get the GM on the phone. Promised I would get a call back. 6. Never got a call back after 4 days 7. Called corporate twice! I ordered a bed in the beginning of January and selected a specific date for delivery and the date was changed & pushed back 2-3 weeks without my notice. They tell you to wait for a call a day before but nobody calls. Now I'm left without a bed and sleeping on the floor for over a month of waiting. Delivery took 4-6 weeks for my items However, some of the items I purchased did not fit upon arrival and they were refused as the company requests in order to be "automatically refunded" to the method of payment used. 2 months later...6 calls to customer service, 10 calls to the store, 2 visits in person and still a run around for my refund of $1,000 that even they admit they owe me. Why cant Yelp have the option of 0 stars- the 1 star I HAD to click on was too generous. This place is a joke. I should've known better- you get what you pay for. I am appalled with the lack of customer service and consistency that this company has displayed (or not displayed). I purchased a 3 piece sofa set (chaise, sofa, and love seat for $700) from Ashley Furniture in Hawthorn, CA on 9/5/16. I was promised my sofas to be delivered in 1-2 weeks- Nope. Didn't happen. They were delivered 3 days ago, so approximately 3.5 weeks later. The chaise has been on backorder from the moment I ordered it. The dates for delivery change every single day and unless you wait on the phone for 36 minutes (at least) each time you call, you will not even know that they changed the delivery date on you. I have called them several times over the last month. Each time I call, the wait time exceeds 30 minutes and the only response that I get is: "the product is on back order". They have changed my delivery date more than 6 times (and counting) WITHOUT notifying me. I have had to change my schedule around several times and have gotten nowhere with these clowns. I thought that it may be best for me to go to the store and talk to someone in person. The associate told me that she put my delivery date for my long awaited chaise for October 8. I had a feeling that would not work out and decided to call back and found out that they pushed my delivery date to the end of the month since the product is on back order, again. I asked why I was not called and the associate could not give a reason why: "I don't know, they were supposed to". So naturally, I asked to speak with the manager. The manager refuses to talk to you when you call and has the staff do the dirty work for him/her as he assists new customers in the store who have not yet been subjected to this ordeal. The date of my delivery has literally been changed 6 times (and counting) now. No one calls you back. No one attempts to alleviate this issue for you. No one wants to talk to you. and no one genuinely cares enough to help you out. This has been the worst shopping experience of my life. I made a huge mistake going for the cheaper route and purchasing from this money hungry, unprofessional company that does not care for the happiness of its customers. Ashley Furniture is more concerned with selling this "doorbuster" BS deal and making money versus trying to just DO THE RIGHT THING for an existing customer who has been patiently waiting for their product. I will never recommend purchasing from here. Oh and about the sofas that I did receive: 3 days in and I already feel like I am sinking into my sofa. Horrendous quality not worth the hassle and games played by Ashley Furniture and their shi**y company. Save yourself the drama and spend a little extra money to get a better product and respect as a consumer. Bought a glass-top desk at this store a week ago, and the sales rep offered to have it shipped directly to us so we wouldn't have to pay for delivery and assembly. We agreed. A week later, the desk arrived at our home, and the glass was literally smashed into a million pieces. They literally delivered us a box of glass shards (box was not even marked "fragile" and had 0 indication on the outside that it contained glass). When we opened one end of the box, about 100 glass shards fell out, so we had to remove the box from our home immediately and thoroughly vacuum the living room. As the desk was completely unusable, we called customer service to ask what our options were to get an exchange or refund. We were jerked around by several service reps who kept placing us on hold for ridiculous amounts of time and eventually saying they were busy and didn't know the answer to our questions. After 2 hours, we gave up and decided to just drive back to the Hawthorne store in person to drop off the box of shattered glass. To the store's credit, they did offer us a refund when we explained what happened, which is why I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1. However, this whole ordeal took hours of time to resolve, and that's time we're never getting back. Please do yourself a favor and drive a few more minutes down the highway to IKEA if you need a desk; they're cheaper and much more helpful. For the prices Ashley is charging, you can probably even hire someone off of Taskrabbit to assemble your IKEA furniture for you. read more

I'm blessed to have had an excellent experience here. My personal salesperson was Yvonne B. and she was excellent! I say personal salesperson because she was all about me and what I wanted. Actually, she knew what I wanted more than I did! She went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied. Thank you Yvonne from the bottom of my heart! I also have to thank Maria and Jose. They delivered my furniture and they both did an excellent job. They even took a lil extra time to help me to figure out how I wanted to place my furniture...and that was after hauling all of that furniture up to the third floor with no elevator. Last but not least, my furniture was in excellent condition. I had to give this review because there are just so many sucky sales people (I experienced that at other furniture stores previous to this one) and I just have to give credit where it's due. Mo patiently explained the pros and cons of the different options. In the end, we purchased a higher quality mattress than expected. The finance process was easy but time consuming. The wife and I came in to buy a new bed. We were promptly greeted at the door by Adam. He had a no pressure, humor filled approach. After telling him what we were looking for, he led us on a merry tour of the facility. The selection at the store was pretty good, offering many styles, colors and price ranges. We found a bed we liked and moved on to mattress selection. There are lots to choose from and we tried them all from innerspring to Hybrid to full foam. After a lot of laying about we made our selection. Here's the wonderful part. Adam made an incredible deal for us, and Cammy the manager worked to put a package together that was really compelling. Adam is outstanding, with an exceptional 'customer first' approach and a great sense of humor. I highly recommend working with Adam and Cammy if you can! They're an outstanding team. read more

After days of debating if I should even complain.. here I am... unable to shake the customer "lack of service" we had. My husband and I came here to buy a coffee table for our living room. This Ashley's furniture does not deserve a rating. I bought over $5,000 worth furniture and their protection plan. I'm trying to replace a damaged couch and it's been over 5 months of going back and forth with Ashley and the GBS that they promote/ sell. Neither of them has done anything and continue to point the finger back and forth. Ashley saying GBS needs to replace the couch and GBS saying that Ashley is responsible for replacing it. Ashley has said they are no longer helping us with this situation even though they had said there will be no issue at the time of purchase to replace any items, especially if we buy their protection plan GBS. Highly don't recommend shopping here. Go to Costco or even Best Buy online (and their a tech store). Their more helpful and no return issues. read more

Awful experience. I had a bed frame delivered to my house without the hardware! They left it at my house and scheduled for the hardware to be delivered within 7-10 business days, it is day 10 and I haven't seen or heard anything. They charged a $100 "hassle free" delivery which I asked for a refund. I have yet to be refunded. I have been on hold with Ashley's hotline multiple times because the home store to issue the refund but they would not pick up the phone and be transferred to the hotline which they cannot do anything. Mixed experience at Ashley Homestore. The first visit went really well. A salesperson (Yesi, I think?) introduced himself to us when we walked in, told us about the layout of the store, and then left us alone to browse. We were asked if we needed any help once or twice, but nothing pushy. The second visit didn't go as well, with the exception of purchasing a sofa at a great price. When we went in, immediately a salesperson (didn't introduce herself) attached to us. When we asked for a minute to talk about the purchase, she said "okay, I'll still stay here." A little awkward, but when we opened up, she did too. Still pushy though. On our way out, a different employee called me a "little girl" and told my husband I was "so cute." I'm almost 30 years old. Please don't patronize your customers. The sofa was delivered when promised, in great shape. Being that we were trying to get to the first pre-season game (Rams vs Cowboys), we didn't have time to leave the house and go shopping for a new bed. I predict these guys are out of business in 3 months. How can you be in a city of 13 million and not be able to deliver a love seat within 3 months? My 3rd and 4th delivery date and they just missed their fourth day. I bought this the 1st week of February and got rid of my other furniture 6 weeks ago because I was promised mid March to have the new furniture. They lied and said they can't match it. Never received all my furniture. I am being billed and my order is still in complete. Mattress almost 10k and sucks. Feels nothing like the floor model. Let start with my experience at the store. Upon arrival I was immediately greeted by Jorge Alvarado who was very nice and in my own personal opinion a great salesman. He asked us what we were looking for and immediately started showing us what we asked for. He gave us great deals and was very informative and knowledgeable about the furniture he showed us. He was able to deal with the craziness and pickiness that came with us, the customers. He was not pushy about making the sale or anything like that. Now for the delivery... the delivery guys were nice and set everything up where they were told. They were in a bit of a rush. Now for the actual furniture... it was poorly made and stained. We signed for the furniture under a rush so we were not able to inspect the furniture well enough to see that is was defective. We called customer care and they DID NOT CARE. So I contacted Jorge Alvarado, our salesman, and he immediately did everything in his power to make sure that we were satisfied. Out of the whole Ashley's experience, the best and most professional part was our amazing salesman JORGE ALVARADO. If it wasn't for him, Ashley's Furniture would not be getting 5 stars. The delivery company could not figure out how to take the funiture in my house so they had to take it back.
