After days of debating if I should even complain.. here I am... unable to shake the customer "lack of service" we had. My husband and I came here to buy a coffee table for our living room. We were greeted by Benjamin. Benjamin gave us a cold welcome, and couldn't even be bothered to finish his sentence or look up from his phone. We shrugged it off... and decided to look around. We were immediately drawn to a lift up coffee table, as we tried to flag Benjamin down.. he slowly came over to us. At first, we thought he was giving us a comfortable distance so we could just look... but we soon realized that it wasn't him being a good sales man, it was him not giving a damn. Instead of helping he took us to a screen and told us to pick what we wanted. (We brought him to the table we wanted... he had the sale...all he had to do was work with us on a price) I'd like to add that he was playing jazz music from his phone... and refused to look at us. I was starting to become offended, my husband is a pillar of patience... and gave him more time. Benjamin finally wore my Husbands patience down when he looked up from his phone and said, "I play jazz to get me through my day!" ((I'm sorry we inconvenienced you so much by coming into this furniture store to buy a piece of furniture)) Long story short, we left. Went to Living spaces, and bought a table there THAT SAME AFTERNOON. We were treated warmly, offered help, and everyone was so kind and knowledgeable. From the floor managers to the delivery guys. If I could give them no starts I would. I purchased a furniture set on april 17, 2014 and it is now May 25, 2014 and the furniture already has tears in it. I called Guardsman which I paid extra to have a warranty for any tears or wrips for my furniture. They are not trying to tell me somethings aren't covered and because it was a floor model there is nothing they can do for me. While moving some things around our master suite, our old/existing headboard broke. Being that we were trying to get to the first pre-season game (Rams vs Cowboys), we didn't have time to leave the house and go shopping for a new bed. And being that I'm pregnant, the thought of sleeping on the floor for more than a night or two didn't really sound like a good time! Needless to say, we needed something fast and jumped online to find something we could get delivered quickly. This Ashley's furniture does not deserve a rating. I bought over $5,000 worth furniture and their protection plan. I'm trying to replace a damaged couch and it's been over 5 months of going back and forth with Ashley and the GBS that they promote/ sell. Neither of them has done anything and continue to point the finger back and forth. Ashley saying GBS needs to replace the couch and GBS saying that Ashley is responsible for replacing it. Ashley has said they are no longer helping us with this situation even though they had said there will be no issue at the time of purchase to replace any items, especially if we buy their protection plan GBS. Highly don't recommend shopping here. Go to Costco or even Best Buy online (and their a tech store). Their more helpful and no return issues. read more

LA Times ad stated, no interest for 30 months, no down payment, and no minimum purchase " on entire inventory". But when I got there only offered for 12 months. Awful experience. I had a bed frame delivered to my house without the hardware! They left it at my house and scheduled for the hardware to be delivered within 7-10 business days, it is day 10 and I haven't seen or heard anything. They charged a $100 "hassle free" delivery which I asked for a refund. I have yet to be refunded. I have been on hold with Ashley's hotline multiple times because the home store to issue the refund but they would not pick up the phone and be transferred to the hotline which they cannot do anything. Mixed experience at Ashley Homestore. The first visit went really well. A salesperson (Yesi, I think?) introduced himself to us when we walked in, told us about the layout of the store, and then left us alone to browse. We were asked if we needed any help once or twice, but nothing pushy. The second visit didn't go as well, with the exception of purchasing a sofa at a great price. When we went in, immediately a salesperson (didn't introduce herself) attached to us. When we asked for a minute to talk about the purchase, she said "okay, I'll still stay here." A little awkward, but when we opened up, she did too. Still pushy though. On our way out, a different employee called me a "little girl" and told my husband I was "so cute." I'm almost 30 years old. If I could rate this store a 0 i would. Absolutely worst customer service ever. All Ashley's stores have different prices. Torrance gave me a better price then Hawthorne did on the same exact order. They lied and said they can't match it. Never received all my furniture. I am being billed and my order is still in complete. Mattress almost 10k and sucks. Feels nothing like the floor model. Now that the sale is completed manager Albert and sales person Simmon are no help. I have filled a complaint with corporate let's see if they are any help. I predict these guys are out of business in 3 months. How can you be in a city of 13 million and not be able to deliver a love seat within 3 months? It amazes me at all the bad reviews here. My advice: IGNORE them. Ashley moves millions of dollars in furniture every month, so the only people who seem to write the bad reviews are the disgruntled customers. They have a great selection of furniture, plus catalogs with items not on their showroom. As far as customer service goes, they have always been friendly, attentive to our needs and responsive. Two items we took delivery of needed a small repair, and technicians were dispatched immediately to fix it. I think what we have with all these bad reviews is a small fraction of customers becoming a vocal majority because satisfied customers don't have as much motivation to write a review, I'm the first person to complain about crappy craftsmanship and poor customer service, so everytime I buy something from them I'm always expecting to be disappointed, but it never happens. And their prices cannot be beat. All of the furniture we purchased was well made. Just inspect items carefully upon delivery, if you aren't happy, they will resolve it. So ignore all the whiny perfectionists who takes photos of microscopic scratches which you will find at ANY store including their beloved Ikea and give them a chance, we have many times and always satisfied. read more

I came here browsing for a mattress, and while the selection was great for a store which does not specialize in mattress sales. Upon entering I was immediately harassed by a sales lady who followed me to mattress section, and wanted to show me around. I really just wanted to look around and not buy today. She insisted on knowing my price range, which at the moment I hadn't decided how much I wanted to spend on a mattress. I found the salesperson rather pushy and condescending and not very helpful to the process at all. There was a point where the sales lady told us that it wasn't possible to compare prices between their seally mattresses and other sealy mattresses at other stores because they just weren't the same. A blatant lie and sales tactic of course...Upon leaving the mattress section of the store there was a group of sales associates who we're yelping at us "you won't find a better deal than this! Etc etc... I looked around at the furniture and a lot of the wood had a cheap somewhat plastic feel to it, so I wouldn't recommend buying a bed frame from there. Overall I found the mattress section had a great selection but the pushy condescending sales staff was a HUGE turnoff... Definitely going to buy a mattress elsewhere. read more

Let start with my experience at the store. Upon arrival I was immediately greeted by Jorge Alvarado who was very nice and in my own personal opinion a great salesman. He asked us what we were looking for and immediately started showing us what we asked for. He gave us great deals and was very informative and knowledgeable about the furniture he showed us. He was able to deal with the craziness and pickiness that came with us, the customers. He was not pushy about making the sale or anything like that. Now for the delivery... the delivery guys were nice and set everything up where they were told. They were in a bit of a rush. Now for the actual furniture... it was poorly made and stained. We signed for the furniture under a rush so we were not able to inspect the furniture well enough to see that is was defective. We called customer care and they DID NOT CARE. So I contacted Jorge Alvarado, our salesman, and he immediately did everything in his power to make sure that we were satisfied. Out of the whole Ashley's experience, the best and most professional part was our amazing salesman JORGE ALVARADO. If it wasn't for him, Ashley's Furniture would not be getting 5 stars. Do not buy their store brand mattresses. I did and their was a 1 inch indentation in the center within a year. When I finally realized it had a 5 year warranty they sent someone out (1st time they gave him wrong address and he was very very rude and called and would not come 5 minutes to where I actually lived) - it took 3 weeks to send someone else. This person found the slightest imperfection (a small discoloration nowhere near the indentation) and voided the warranty. My son now has back problems. To add to this problem. Don't finance with Acceptance Now unless you plan to pay within a couple months. I still owed money after the furniture started falling apart. read more

Great furniture shopping experience from start to finish! We needed dining room furniture and the selection at Ashley was outstanding! We found exactly what we needed and the price fit right in our budget. Our salesperson Frank was extremely patient and helpful and we ended up with a gorgeous dining set. Delivery went smoothly, and although our original delivery time was pushed back by about 30 minutes, our driver kept us informed and we were still within our 4 hour window that was originally set. One small personal pet peeve is the hi-pressure tactic of trying to push extended warranty. If I could give a zero for the customer service the way they take care of business I would, because this store is not worth rating I purchased a coffee table and 2 end tables. The coffee table has a scratch on the table top so I called the next day to tell them which was within my time frame to make a complaint. I was informed that they would order another table top so I didn't hear anything from them so I called back and they sent a technician out he checked it out and saw the problem then called to see if the glass was ordered he was told that the glass was ordered but they didn't know when it was coming so I called customer service and spoke LaShondra and she told me that she put in for a refund and pick up and that they would call me in 48 hrs to let me know when they would pick it up after hearing nothing I called back and spoke to LaShondra again and she told me this time that the case was closed but said that she was going to reopen the case and they were going to call me in 48 hrs and let me know when I would get a refund and when they were going to pick up the coffee table and end tables I heard nothing so I called back and spoke to Gabriella and she said my claim was denied no one called me and told me anything and it was 96 hrs before this last call. Now it looks like I'm stuck with something I don't like, I'm trying to upgrade my home and I went to ashleys home furnishings thinking that this was the place to go since my neighbors referred me to them and later found that they had problems with them too and I'm back to where I started from. I don't advise anyone to buy anything from ashleys furnishings no matter what they are offering or what the discount is. And the salesman Michael Patriarca is only interested in his commission he will try to find all kinds of ways to prevent you from using any discount coupons you may have. They are the absolute worse. I went in and ordered a bedroom set on September 6th 2020. A dresser, nightstand, headboard and mattress. The delivery was scheduled for September 26th, the date we were moving into our new house. The delivery drivers show up with just the nightstand and dresser. Im asking them where everything else is, they didn't know. I call customer service and was told that the headboard and mattress are on back order. Those items were NOT ON BACKORDER WHEN THEY TOOK MY MONEY FOR THEM. Nobody called us or emailed to let us know we would not be receiving the items as scheduled. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told by call center rep Elise that there weren't any supervisors available. I left a message for the store manager. I have yet to hear back from him. I'm not sure why this place has such bad reviews. I purchased my first home last year and I've bought most of my furniture here ( bedroom set, living room set and most recently - dining set). All those times I came here, I received great customer service. They were patient with me and I didnt feel pressured at all to buy. They were also knowledgeable of their products. I love their deals here. You can find furniture sets for as low as $1000 bucks. If you don't like certain items that are included in the set, you can pick anything you want from the store in place of these items (as long as they are around the same price). They're delivery was also great. They came on time and set up everything so fast! So far, everything I bought from here are still in excellent condition. It's only been a year, so I will try and give you an update in a few more years! I also don't have kids so maybe that's a factor to consider. I purchased a brand new couch which I discovered within 3 days of delivery had a defective arm. I contacted the store and scheduled service. The tech came out and had to stuff the sofa and use glue and other products to "fix" the arm. I contacted the store and spoke with a manager who offered a store gift card in lieu of replacement. I accepted. Two weeks later I have not received the gift card which I was told would be mailed out the "next day". I have since called the store twice. Both times I was immediately told that the manager is "with a customer" and would return my call. No return phone calls. No gift card received. The service in store is very aggressive and the service post sale is rude and unacceptable. I would suggest that folks looking for quality furniture AND service consider Living Spaces. I gave Ashley Furniture a try due to being recommended by family and friends who have shopped there for furniture in the years past; however, that was clearly a recommendation for employees who were there before these two representatives of Ashley Furniture. Corporate really needs to look into how this store is ran, because it seems as though there's more of an emphasis on comradery, personal relationships and lack of concern versus true customer service, presentation and a welcoming experience. Worst Customer Service I've Ever Experienced, Anywhere. We went to this location only because Ashley customer service informed us that we could not place an order for replacement cushions (for our 7 year-old sectional, which we love) without physically going to an Ashley store. That's ridiculous to start with, but onward. The staff at this location acted as if they had never experienced such a request, and this after a previous phone call to the manager, who told us that such requests had to go through Ashely customer service, who then sent us to the store to inform the gentleman otherwise. Obviously he had never done this before, or didn't want to be bothered unless we were buying a living room set. This had already been too much work for a simple purchase. After successfully identifying and paying for the cushions, the staff couldn't even give us a printout of our order confirmation - we were given a number scrawled on on post-it note and told the order would ship in 7-10 business days. Last week we called for the status of our order after waiting 3 weeks, and it took several calls to confirm that it had never shipped. Payment, of course, was processed immediately before we left the store. We were promised a $100 gift card for our trouble, which has not materialized, either. If it's in the box with our cushions, I doubt we'll ever see it. It's now over 30 days since we first visited the store, a dozen or more phone calls to both the store and to Ashley, wherever in Middle America they may be, and as of today we've been told that the parts department is closed and that we can't get confirmation of anything until Monday. At this point, if we don't get a tracking number on Monday we're disputing the charge with our bank for a refund and buying a new couch from ANYBODY but Ashley. read more

My wife and I went to this store prior to looking it up on Yelp and had a good experience with one of the sales people there. We didn't buy anything, but found something we were very interested in. I then went home and did some research on Yelp, and the bad reviews gave me serious concern. We really liked the furniture we had seen, and the price they were offering it for, so I decided we would through caution to the wind and go back to Ashley. On our second visit we were greeted by the Store Manager upon entering, who remembered us from the week before even though he hadn't worked with us. He was extremely courteous and patient with us as worked through several different options we were interested in, and ultimately came up with a package we liked at a price that matched our budget. After working with the Store Manager that day, all my prior concerns had been put to rest. I have no doubts that if you run into any problems at this store, and ask to speak with the Store Manager, that he will take care of you. Our furniture was delivered today, on time (early, actually!), in perfect condition, and we could not be happier with our purchase. Love my furniture but I have a couple of concerns. When the delivery guys took the media center off the truck, they dropped 2 shelves witnessed by my neighbor and my husband which damaged the corners. They said they would "take care of them". They didn't do any follow up. Sad that people are working and getting away with that. I've made 2 phone calls and now 5 months later, I still don't have this resolved. Also be careful purchasing the furniture protection plan. I wish I had reviewed furniture protection plan on YELP prior to agreeing. The fabric couches we purchased held up well, and still look pretty to date. I shampoo them once a month since I have a cat, and a couple days a week I'll occasionally sleep on the couch instead of the bed. They've been through a lot of kid and animal abuse and they still look nice. The spring are sagging a little, but it's not noticeable. I intend to get new couch in two more years anyways. I've found that local furniture shops also carry certain Ashley furniture items for the same if not lower prices. One store is Big Lots! Occasionally I tighten the table pieces because they get wobbly if I move them around a lot, but no big deal. For $1000 bucks all I really wanted was a furniture set to last 4-5 years and I'm sure that'll happen, so I'm a happy camper. read more
