While the furniture is undeniably beautiful, the customer service was surprisingly poor. I purchased five items during their anniversary sale, where everything was sold "as is." After dealing with an overcharge on my credit card, I was told I'd receive a call the next day to schedule delivery, which I paid $99 for. That call never came until I followed up on social media three days later. It wasn't until August 27 that I finally heard from someone to schedule the delivery. On September 11, the delivery arrived, but one of the pieces was not what I had ordered. I immediately called customer service and sent photos of the correct item. They did offer to refund the incorrect item, but instead of taking ownership, they made it seem like they were doing me a favor. I also requested a refund of the $99 delivery fee, since the service I paid for (delivering the correct items) wasn't fulfilled. Later, I saw some internal emails by mistake, and it became clear they had no intention of refunding the delivery fee. The whole interaction left me feeling disappointed and puzzled as to why they wouldn't just refund such a small fee to keep a customer. Despite being excited about the furniture itself, this experience has soured me on purchasing from them again. My advice: take photos of everything you buy and be prepared for potential issues. If they're willing to lose a customer over $99, it raises concerns about their overall business practices.

It took forever to get them to come out and 'fix' it, and they don't really allow you much control in scheduling when the repair guys come. They give 24 hour notice letting you know the repair people are coming and it's either you clear your schedule or call them and try to have it rescheduled. A few months after the first 'fix' the slats broke again. I had to go through the annoying process of trying to get the repair people to come again. And then after a few months, you'll never guess what happened... It broke... AGAIN. However, at this point I was apparently 13-14 months in and the warranty only covered 12 months (even though it was supposed to be 5 years). At this point, I wasn't even looking for a repair. I wanted my money back, because it was clear the bed is unsafe for normal use. I had all the pictures of the broken slats, the written correspondence between me and customer service trying to schedule the repairs, but apparently that was enough to get a refund. So I tried going through the Synchrony (Ashley) credit card company to get my money back, and after a few months they also denied my refund. I hate this f*** store. P.S. Don't get an Ashley credit card - they're tied to the store and will not back you up when you ask for a refund because your s*** furniture breaks.

Within one week the sofa was broken. Screws and hinges popped off. Husband contacted West Elm and they told him a part would be ordered or a new couch ordered by May. So, he does not have a chair to sit in, we cannot fold the bed up since it is broken so our living room is not usable, and we do not have any guarantee that this issue will be resolved anytime soon. I do not recommend this company. Prices are high and you do not get what you pay for. Customer service is non existent and quality of product is poor. I think we will return couch and go to Living Spaces.

THIS IS THE LOCATION I DEALT WITH! 5366 Rosecrans Ave. Hawthorne CA 90250. This place is a SCAM do not buy a bed here. I purchased an "extra firm" bed which felt so firm and supportive on the floor. What I was delivered was not "extra firm". The first thing I did as a test was sit in he middle of the mattress like I did in the showroom. The mattress in the showroom held me up no problem with heavy gauge steel construction. I'm 200 lbs. The mattress they delivered to me as soon as I sat in the middle I heard "ping ping ping" like the wires inside the mattress just broke. I sank right in and this bed was the furthest thing from firm. When I called them they were unwilling to help. Their "paper" system without computers makes it easier for them to not have clear concise records of exactly what was inside the mattress as far as gauge steel. Also they purposefully switch sales people from store to store so finding the person responsible is next to impossible while the "new" sales person can't find anything because there is basically no digital record. I lost $2400 cash and had to go to a reputable dealer to get an extra firm mattress. I went to Macy's to get exactly what I want without this type of problem. To read other opinions Google it. My bed lock up two years later. Sealy sent out the parts that they thought would fix the bed twice still did not fix the issue. I have been sleeping in a aquard position over a month. The warranty has such stipulations when you thinking that you're getting 15 years warranty is ACTUALLY broke down to 3 different warranties for 15 years (FIRST year you only get for coverage of parts and labor) (years 2 through 5 you get coverage of parts only and you have to pay for your own labor and shipping of parts) ( years 6 through 15 you get prorated coverage of parts only) run far away as fast as you can!!! SALESMAN ONLY TOLD ME IS WAS A 15 YEAR WARRANTY NOT THAT THE WARRANTY HAVE YEARS BROKE DOWN IN THE WARRANTY!!! read more

A nice representative named Henry helped me pick out a great mattress today. He started out asking me what level of firmness I liked and had me try several different mattresses. He was very patient and also very knowledgeable of the products. I never felt pushed or hurried at any time. He explained materials, benefits of various mattress types as well as the warranties. I felt like I was able to choose a mattress that will be best for me, especially because I have issues with back pain. I was pleasantly surprised at the price- within my range; I didn't feel pressured to purchase anything but the mattress I found most comfortable for me. My wife felt the same way and told me the mattress no longer felt supportive. Thanks to her habit of saving receipts, we discovered that our "luxurious" Stearns & Foster was actually 15 years old. It had served us well, but we had clearly kept it past the typical 10-year lifespan. After doing some preliminary research, I decided to visit Mattress Firm, a company I have trusted for years from my time in Northern California when they were still Sleep Train. I was pleasantly surprised to find a location close to home, so I headed over. What an amazing experience. The store associates Jackson and George were fantastic. Jackson was our main associate and he was knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and completely focused on helping us find what we truly needed. There were no high pressure sales tactics and no pricing games. George offered helpful advice when asked, and his input made the experience even better. Seriously, could mattress shopping actually be fun? In this case, yes. We ended up choosing a Tempur-Pedic mattress with an adjustable base, something I never expected but am very excited about. I am already looking forward to finally sleeping comfortably again. Thank you to Jackson and George for making the process enjoyable and stress free. Eder was so great, after the 2nd delivery attempt he personally loaded up the mattress in his own truck, drove it on to the base and single handedly carried it up two flights of narrow stairs and set it up all by himself. He did this all with a smile and professionalism. I have never seen customer service like this, he fixed a problem that wasn't even his to fix. He also gave me a refund on some of the charges as well as an apology. Again, the mess of delivery was all because of the third party delivery company, and Eder made sure it was fixed. Its hard enough doing military moves and deliveries on and off base, so to have someone like Eder to help make it as easy as possible, I will always recommend. Thank you.

I had researched mattresses online and had narrowed my options to Tempurpedic or Chattam & Wells, and wanted to try them live. While it was easy to find retailer who have Tempurpedic on the floor, Chattam & Wells was harder: a lot of mattresses shops carry it, but they don't have it on the floor cause it's too expensive. As a result, they were all trying to convince me to buy another brand. Instead, the Mattress King had a couple of Chattam & Wells on the floor. Once I tried the Chattam & Wells, there was no coming back...OMG! Joel and Andrew gave me an offer on the spot, and when I told them I had a better offer somewhere else, they did the impossible: they beat the best offer I had!!! They delivered the mattress one week later (white glove delivery). Two days sleeping on it, and my lower back pain (which I've had for years) is GONE! So: if you want the Rolls Royce of mattresses (Chattam & Wells) at the best possible price and with the best possible service, don't waste your time with any other store: just get to Mattress King and speak with Andrew or Joel.
