We had a no pressure purchase at this furniture store location. Happened upon a President's Day sale - had seen mention of it on social media with an in-store candle making craft session - when we were nearby at Home Depot. Stopped in and the prices were too good to walk away from. Kids had fun with the candle making. And we adults had peace of mind crossing off a long aging to-do item of getting new couch and sofa. Win-win all around Delivery guys were decent. We rescheduled when we realized another day was better for our schedule - they were easy to contact for reschedule. On the day of delivery, they texted that they were going to be a little outside the planned window. When they arrived, one strong guy single-handedly took the couch and then sofa off the truck on his head. Amazing. He and a coworker then attached the couch legs with the fastest drill gun work I've seen. Felt like I was watching formula one pit stop work. They took away all the packaging and arranged the couches as I specified. I inspected the furniture and gave them a thumbs up. Done in less than 10 min. Worth the $99 delivery and set up price tag. The tenured in-store rep advised I do this $99 white glove delivery vs the $59 delivery without set up as a preventative measure. I get to inspect the furniture and have the delivery men take something back if not up to par. If anything was wrong with the $59 delivery only, I would be on the hook myself to take the furniture back to the store. I don't have a truck to haul back furniture that may have damage. Made sense to me. I appreciated his advice. And hubby could not have assembled the couch feet in mere minutes. Worth it The newly unpacked couch and sofa let off some chemically smells. We left the windows open for a few hours to have them air out. Smells subsided quickly. I am now watching to see how the furniture ages. Will report back if problematic read more

I'm never going to shop at an Ashley's Store again. I bought a $1,000 mattress frame from them, and the wooden slats broke within the first week of their guys putting it together. It took forever to get them to come out and 'fix' it, and they don't really allow you much control in scheduling when the repair guys come. They give 24 hour notice letting you know the repair people are coming and it's either you clear your schedule or call them and try to have it rescheduled. A few months after the first 'fix' the slats broke again. I had to go through the annoying process of trying to get the repair people to come again. And then after a few months, you'll never guess what happened... It broke... AGAIN. However, at this point I was apparently 13-14 months in and the warranty only covered 12 months (even though it was supposed to be 5 years). At this point, I wasn't even looking for a repair. I wanted my money back, because it was clear the bed is unsafe for normal use. I had all the pictures of the broken slats, the written correspondence between me and customer service trying to schedule the repairs, but apparently that was enough to get a refund. So I tried going through the Synchrony (Ashley) credit card company to get my money back, and after a few months they also denied my refund. I hate this f*** store. P.S. Don't get an Ashley credit card - they're tied to the store and will not back you up when you ask for a refund because your s*** furniture breaks. read more

I had a pretty disappointing experience at Ashley Furniture. The pricing felt misleading from the start. The manager kept going back and forth, acting like they were offering special discounts, when in reality most of the items were already advertised at 25% off. On top of that, some pieces didn't even receive the full discount. They also initially tried to charge around $500 for delivery, only to later "negotiate" it down and make it seem like they were doing me a favor. That kind of back-and-forth just reinforces the feeling that the pricing isn't transparent and should've been straightforward from the beginning. To make matters worse, the delivery itself was underwhelming--they basically just drop off boxes of pretty average-quality furniture. Honestly, it's no better than what you'd get ordering online, which defeats the purpose of going into a furniture store expecting higher quality or a better experience. The whole buying process came across as overly sales-driven and, frankly, a bit sleazy--more like dealing with a used car dealership than a furniture store. My recommendation: skip the in-store experience. Buy online or go somewhere straightforward like Costco. I wouldn't shop at Ashley again unless you enjoy that kind of high-pressure sales environment. read more

Trust me. Stay away from Ashley's. They do not abide by their warranty and it trickles down to the warranties for the products they sell. I brought a Tempur-Pedic mattress which came with a 10 year warranty and purchased an additional warranty from Ashley for regular cleanings for things like sweat. Ashley's denied the cleaning when I tried to request it, and when my tempurpedic mattress started sagging after just 4 years (advertised to last for 10 years), tempurdic stated that I couldn't claim it because it had not been cleaned. They denied a sagging mattress over a sweat mark on the mattress and neither Ashley's nor Tempurpedic Will take responsibility and help. I have had severe back pain from the mattress on a daily basis. Just don't waste your money here. read more

Went to Torrance location on a weekday around 1pm. Wasn't sure store was open because there were about 3 cars in a huge parking lot. Yes they were open and we were approached by a salesman. We asked for pricing on a sofa set. He gave it to us. We walked around some more and wanted pricing on a different set. He passed us off to the manager of the store while he waited on other customers. We waited at least 15 minutes for a quote. Nothing from salesman or manager. Total waste of time. My experience today will sound similar to the many others here. I was hoping to have a good experience today but their poor business practices were obviously consistent with previous guests. The sales person was friendly and sounded like she was on our side, but problems came when the manager intervened. Once we found the dresser we liked, the sales rep offered us $50 off with her "special" coupon. Great, we thought. When I presented 2 gift cards totaling $150, they only offered to redeem one of the two. After questioning the reasons why behind this explanation we decided to continue the purchase. But when they pulled the $50 "special" offer, that's when I questioned their business practices and shared my disagreemen. The manager, who obviously doesnt realize and understand the difference between a discount and gift card, went on to say they could only honor the single gift card and not the special offer. I have never heard of this type of practice! Felt a bit like a bait-and-switch to me. No other business i am aware of conducts themselves this way! Nowhere on the gift card did it even say there were restrictions of any sort. Plus, on top, he said the gift cards are older and he normally doesn't honor such. Does he not understand the law stating gift cards do not expire in California?! I will definitely be filing a complaint with the BBB and the FTC because it feels like they are running deceptive business practices and do not understand the legality and difference between a gift card and discount offer. HORRRIBLE!!!! Let's start with that. Adam had great customer service. But seems like once I signed away my life he didn't bother to help after. Which really sucks bc he was amazing when I was buying this stuff. I made three claims with their care team, and they denied all of them even with proof shown (pictures,) to them. They gave a promotion of 12 months no interest and I have until 30 days AFTER my delivery, to make first payment. Mind you, delivery was made 1/02. It is 1/10 and I have late fees with Synchrony Bank. Like why advise false information. I've tried to speak to management on the phone AND in person, but nothing has been done/escalated. I ordered a Cal King Tempur-Pedic and dims are off by more than 5 inches ALL AROUND MY BED. I also have had a horrible nights sleep since I've got the mattress can barely move my neck side to side. I believe they are selling fake stuff at that. How does EVERYONE rave about that mattress and I am on my death bed sleeping in it. We needed a chair with an ottoman ASAP for my sick husband to sleep in as he could not climb stairs to get to his bed. Desiree jumped through hoops to find the right set for us. She went over and above to contact a delivery service to delivery the chair and ottoman Sat so my husband could get some long needed sleep. I went to the store at 10AM and the chair was delivered at 1pm that day by a wonderful delivery company headed by Viante. All worked perfectly and Desiree made our day so much nicer. A great place for furniture. Walked in here desperate as our furniture literally fell apart after 7 years. Was afraid of a senior injury which we didn't need. Simon helped us out here. Very knowledgeable and helpful too. We selected the leather loveseat recliners with cup holders and snack compartment. Color a nice shade of gray. So comfortable as you have many settings for comfort level. Also purchased a single leather grey recliner. A dining table with 4 chairs. The fabric on the chairs is linen and very comfortable to support your back. The table is wood and nice. Also chose a tv stand with electric fireplace for cold winter nights. It has drawers included and shelves too. A nice shade of a light brown. All in all a very good experience. We love our furniture! And a big thanks to Simon and the delivery team as well. read more

The service here is horrible. I purchased a love seat and sofa recliners and added the piece to be able to also make it a sectional. When I purchased them a manager told me I could do a price match guarantee if I find them cheaper in another store. So I found a furniture store that sells Ashley products and let me tell you, at Ashley's they hike the price over 200%. I went to the store and the manager had to call me back. They said that since the furniture was delivered they can no longer price match when the manager that day told me I had 30 days from purchase. This is the worst place to buy furniture. I only went because of the 60mo. Finance deal. If I had all the cash I'd support small businesses instead of buying at Ashley. They scam you and over charge. Service from the salesperson Max was great. However, the manager, JB, was rude and inattentive. We had a couple gift cards and were okay with complying with the rules written on the card. Max went to ask JB if we can use the gift cards and the manager talked about us like we weren't right there. He told Max to have us wait somewhere else as if we couldn't hear him. The furniture itself is crap and breaks apart fast and once they got your money you're out of luck. Upon delivery 5-4-2024 I found that the couch was too big and wanted to refuse it so I could buy the chair instead but they said there is nothing they can do and to call the store. My boyfriend and I purchased a two couches as a set in April 2021. Joanna was our sales person and she was great when showing us around and was overall really helpful. The only complaint from us is when it came to the initial delivery date, our couches weren't delivered on the date we were initially promised. My boyfriend was the one who was going to be notified via phone call and when the drivers called (initially), it came from a phone number that was NOT based in the US. When he answered, the other line was completely silent and just hung up immediately. When Joanna called to ask us how our couches were a little later that day, we explained to her what happened (the above situation) and she was just as annoyed as us. Therefore, we know this was not an error on her part. She helped us coordinate a new delivery date. The new delivery date came and the drivers ended up arriving as scheduled (if not earlier) but when they called, the number was completely random again. Aside from that, this place has a decent selection of furniture and the price reflects that. However, I cannot speak for the protection plan that we also purchased where she mentioned it covered all stains, accidents, etc. but fortunately, we haven't needed to use it. read more
