You know.. I read some of the reviews just now after talking with my wife about this review... I'm not surprised this Ashley's is rated so poorly. The reviews are true - so be warned before you spend money. Pros: 1. The sells rep Deion was nice and friendly. 2. The in-store experience was good. 3. Prices are fine. 4. Lots of choices. Cons: This explains why my low rating. Deion was our sales rep - we informed him three times to please find a delivery schedule that works with our work schedule. We said anytime after 4pm. We work hard all year round to make purchases like the $3,400 we ended up spending in total at Ashley's. He gave us a delivery date and said delivery will be between 4-6pm (we thought perfect!!) all seemed like a perfect experience until the day of delivery. They called my wife about 11:50am saying the delivery drivers were outside... so she calls me in a frantic because they told her the drivers would only wait 10 mins. I'm barely a few hours into my work shift and I have to rush home or they'll reschedule our delivery by a few weeks if not a couple of months. Because that's how these companies do this. I rushed over on a Uber Lime scooter to avoid traffic and red lights etc. Normally it takes me about 18-25 minutes to travel but I rushed so fast because this delivery was important to my wife. As I get there I see the two delivery people in the back of the delivery truck talking on speaker to their manager who is telling them "ok you waited 10 minutes leave now!!" in Spanish. He didn't know it was me when I got there and were about to leave when I told them they are ridiculous for calling a customer and telling them they have 10 minutes or they'll leave when they arrive 5 hours early during the middle of the week. They noticed i was pissed off and told me that the sales rep lied because at 4pm they start going home. That the sales rep lied because the delivery drivers are back home during those delivery hours. That the sales rep told us what we wanted to hear to make a sale. Well - I will never buy from Ashley's again. I lost a little over $200 by barely working any hours that day. I was so pissed off that day. Not only did a spend a fortune on a fancy white marble table and a new leather sofa - but I lost even more money on the delivery day. So my bill that was about 3,400 ended up being about 3,640ish. Believe the reviews on Yelp. I wish I had looked at Yelp and what people are saying about the business practices before I had spent my hard earned money. read more

Not even does this store deserve 1 star! Manager Charles is completely DISGUSTING and Henry could care less about his job so much so that he messed up my order not once but 3 times!! Long story short: The furniture came damaged. I should have followed my gut when i left the store and read the reviews. Litterally such a nightmare from start to finish. As many of the reviews have mentioned, Charles is a horrible manager. He refused to discuss my order with me, would rather have his customer services reps go back and forth to only come back with NO INFORMATION. This was a waste of time and I'm disappointed because ALL of my other experiences have been exceptional. I would not recommend this store and would instead suggest going to living spaces or ANY OTHER furniture store. Most of the west coast stores are owned by the same guy, which you'd think would make it easier to navigate the backend of franchised stores, but clearly he doesn't care. Ashely is GREAT until they get your $$, then all customer service goes out the window. The delivery guy brought the wrong item. When I told him it was wrong, he bullied me and acted like I was wrong. Calling the store FAILED to help. I talked to 2 manager on the phone NO RESOLUTION. I went into the store, they saw that I had refused the delivery of the wrong item, they had the correct item IN STOCK IN STORE but refused to give me the correct item until the warehouse corrected their inventory number - even though they could see I did not receive the item. I purchased a $3000 couch and they threw the pillows on the side of the street and unwrap the plastic around the couch in the truck. So, I no longer receive a new product but open box product. This store has horrible service. I've not received any follow up from customer service. Nor has the manager of the Hawthorne location called me back. I have requested a delivery refund and a credit for receiving an open product. However, the Hawthorne store location has never followed up nor has Ashley furniture customer service. Then their "warranty" furniture protection is run by a shady company where you have to jump through a lot of hoops to get something fixed. If ever a consumer was in the market for a completely unsatisfying experience, look no further than Ashley Furniture. In 2018 we purchased a dining set, a sofa, and a loveseat. We also purchased the extended warranty. This summer we attempted to rely on that warranty for tears and stains. The warranty company, which is difficult to find via phone scheduled a window for us to have the seats cleaned. They came out and told us that they could (would) not owing to the stains having been "old." Well, whatever. I cleaned them myself with some Tide, a towel, and a shop vac and they look great. Strike 1. Over a month ago my regular sized human child sat down on the love seat. We heard a loud crack. Looking underneath I could see that the wood that supported the loveseat down the center running from front to rear had cracked and was broken in half. I called for warranty service. After much time on hold, I was given a window and over a month later, the gentleman came, inspected the loveseat, proclaimed that the wood was broken, and said he would report his findings to the warranty company, GBS, and they would recommend repair or replacement. A month went by, and no word on what the warranty company decided. I called, and it was revealed that the repair would not be feasible, since the frame of the loveseat, and the sofa by extension, is constructed of only the cheapest parts known to man. They then told me they would report that to the Manufacturer. I was left in limbo for a month, and had to inquire on my own in order to get to the next step. How about that? A few weeks later, I followed up after have been assured I would receive a call, which I never did. The warranty company informed me that the Ashley had decided to replace my furniture, and I would get a call. No call ever came. I went to the Hawthorne store and gave them the claim number. No dice. They knew nothing about anything. 2 weeks later I called and got a human who arranged to deliver on Thursday 2-3-2022. I arranged to be home on that date, and my lovely wife received a text that the delivery was 4 minutes out. An hour later I called, and was told that they came and no one was home. The customer service rep referenced a house with stairs leading to the front door and some palm trees. They went to the wrong house. And, told me I needed to reschedule since the truck couldn't (wouldn't) come back. The customer service agent rescheduled me for Sunday 2-6-2022, and told me to expect a call to set the window Friday or Saturday. No call. No truck on Sunday, after we had resolved to stay home all day. I called on Sunday, and was told all they could do was open up a calendar and schedule a new day. I asked the agent to check if a truck was coming, or if I needed to schedule that new delivery date. She said she would call me back. It is Monday, and I am still waiting for the phone call. Ashley does not care about its customer. They are obviously waiting me out so they do not have to deliver service. Buy your furniture from Macy's. They stand behind their products. read more

I was told 2 different things regarding the Labor Day Sale. Upon entering the store I was greeted and told that any price tag I saw was 50% off. So I shopped with that in mind. My salesperson disappeared and went for a "bigger fish" who didn't buy anything. While he left another salesperson helped me and when I was at the computer ready to pay, the manager came to do an override for the discount and it was only 10%. I was told because it was already marked down. He then told me he had to leave and help another customer he was helping. False, he passed by and asked if he could help me at least 3 times. I then checked my phone, and he proceeded to tell me the online discount was an additional 10% and that's why the price online is different. Only I found my item to be 20%off. I think you know what happened next. Online was easier. No conflicting information and no hurry up and buy attitude or deceptive advertising. Came to check out some bar stools for my kitchen. The show rooms were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They had the largest selection of bar stools in comparison to other stores - even Amazon! They were having an sale and said they would also honor the prices they had online. I decided to wait and later I ended up purchasing stools on their website for (the same) great price as the store and they were delivered promptly to my front door!!! I do not recommend this place. We purchased a couch from here and what a huge disappointment. Firstly, the delivery was not on time and when the couch arrived it was totally dirty. It literally looked like it had been in the waiting room of a used tire store or dragged on the asphalt. The delivery team didn't even put the legs on correctly and when we tried sitting on it one of the legs almost broke off. We ordered a sofa, table and two chairs. The sofa was delivered with a broken piece and the two chairs were incorrect. I called their customer care number who sent me the piece to repair the sofa. I'm struggling to get the chairs replaced with the correct ones. I'm going round-n-round with their international call center, for a month now, to eventually get told to go to the store to resolve it because they don't want to do the paperwork. The Customer Care person admitted she could do it, but asked me to go to the store instead. Their salespeople are nice and helpful. Their delivery and customer services are lacking. Everything is great and dandy when you are buying, but if anything is wrong with your purchase or if you are dissatisfied and want to make a return they will treat you like garbage. It's pretty impossible to speak to anyone on the phone during your 72 hour window. My husband and I bought a Couches and a Dining room set. Within the first 3 months the buttons popped off of the bench seat of the dining room table. I called the warranty company and told them what happened, when they asked about when the damage happened I said I had noticed the first button about a week ago. We'll that's all it took for them to deny my claim. They said I only had a 7 day window to report a claim after I notice it. So apparently being too honest will cost you. STRIKE 1. About 8 months in to us having the couch we notice it was peeling! The upsold us on the "real leather" couch as opposed to the faux leather because it would last much longer. It didn't even make it a year, when I called to get that covered under the warranty they said they would not cover it because it was a "Manufacturers Defect" . Our almost $900 love seat that was less than a year old looked like it belonged on the curb. The gave me the run around and only offered me a $400 credit (which by the way never showed up on my account) I honestly can't believe this place is still in business. I'm rating them a 1 star for misleading advertisement. The only reason we bought our 6k bed from this place was because we saw that we were going to get these "cash cards" with our purchase that we could potentially use for another purchase down the road. We tried using these cards, but we found out that you have to use them on full priced items. Which means, that you'll end up paying hundreds of dollars on something that's overpriced. We also found out that we can't use them to buy Tempurpedic pillows. Which is ironic because we got the cards after making a Tempurpedic bed purchase. Lastly, we can't combine the cards we have, so if we were to buy anything we can only use 1 card per transaction. This means that to use all these cards, we would need to make separate unnecessary purchases and spend hundreds/ thousands of dollars more because again, it needs to be full price items. The only things that we can purchase in this store without having to spend more than the value of these cards is the overpriced decorations- that you can find at Ross. Oh and I almost forgot! You can't use them for online purchases! I'm a millennial, and this was the first and last time I go to this type of store. I wish they would stop sending me their advertisement flyers because every time I see them, I get quite angry at how I was duped. read more

Today I came in to Ashley Furniture store looking to purchase a dresser drawer set. The associate Ben Valencia was so helpful and friendly when assisting me in with my purchase! He was able to assist me with a great deal when I found the perfect dresser set. In addition to the dresser, Ben Valencia was able to get me a great deal on a memory foam mattress and box spring ! The store delivers everything for you and they will recycle your old mattress at a low price! Highly recommend this store and speaking to Ben! Great experience today! If I could give them 0 stars I would. Literally every single order I've placed with them has either been late or messed up. The latest order I've made with them was placed Thursday, Feb 10 for a lamp. I was told multiple times that it would be delivered Feb 25. My receipt even had this date confirmed for delivery. Feb 25 came and went with no update on the status of my lamp. I had to reach out to them to find out delivery was delayed until March 8. March 8 has past. Today is March 11 and I'm just now being updated that the lamp will possibly be delivered April 3. I'd advised anyone reading this to save yourself the headache and to never shop at Ashley's. If this would've happened with one order I'd be upset but understanding that things happen. But there's no reason this should be happening for every order. Me and my boyfriend decided to look around after we purchased vacuum cleaner from Best Buy across the street. We did not plan to purchase anything. Well, our plans were not successful since we met sales person name Mike. Mike helped us and was very helpful and friendly getting us what we need in our house. I decided take advantage of my good credit by 5 year no interest payment plans and we ended up purchasing beautiful sofa sets and my dream mattress Tempur-pedic bed originally developed by NASA. I fell in love with this mattress since proprietary foam material responds to your body's temperature, weight, and shape to create a truly customized sleep system. We asked for weekend delivery and we received phone calls and text messages 30 minutes prior to delivery. The delivery staffs were polite, professional and fast and we were satisfied with everything. This company is ridiculous. Ordered furniture on About Dec 14th. I was told that the furniture would be delivered on Jan 14th. Then I got a call a few days before stating it was a delay of 7 days so it would be pushed of to Jan 21st. Then I received another call a few days before the 21st stating that the delivery was pushed out to Feb 5th. After I complained, I received a call that same day stating that they found the one item and they was guaranteeing my delivery would stay the same, Jan 21st. On the 21st, I received all my items EXCEPT A PART OF MY SECTIONAL COUCH. I am pretty upset because of all the run around, now I only have a HALF OF A COUCH! SMH!!!! The corporate office didn't even try to accommodate me. As of right now, they don't even have an expected delivery date nor will they return my couch for my Money back. Well; my HALF OF COUCH!
