Just went to Ashley Furniture in Manchester NH to look at purchasing a new living room set but was followed around by the salesperson relentlessly. We repeatedly told her we were just browsing and would like to look around, that we would come and get her if we had any questions yet she still tagged along with us the entire time. Because of this we left and won't be making a purchase at this store. If this is Ashley's policy to have their employees follow their customers then I won't ever be buying anything from them. read more

My husband and I have done hours of research on the online website and called the Rutland,Vt store who was closer to us but they didn't have what we wanted to actually sit on before we buy. We called the Manchester,NH store and I talked to a guy named Logan who was great and definitely convinced me to drive the 70 miles to this store. We drove down on Saturday and as soon as we walked in we asked to speak to Logan but everyone acted like they didn't know him.....so we started our walk up and down of this 33k square foot store. Within 10 minutes we were greeted by a salesperson who said if you need anything let me know. He walked away and gave us the space we needed. Within 5 minutes there was another saleswomen who approached us and we told her we had many we needed to try. Well that was the beginning of the end. She followed us around the store for almost 2 hours. We would sit on a set and she would sit across from us. We had no time to even talk to each other about what we were thinking. I'd go to the bathroom figuring she be gone but nope....we went outside and figured she be gone. Nope.....She kept trying to pull us to the more expensive leather which was something we definitely didn't want. We were also there for a bed frame. We did finally find what we wanted and said let's just do this so we can get out of here. She wrote numbers down. Which didn't make any sense and she kept insisting on financing and we had to put 10% down even though we told her numerous times we were paying with a CC. We ended up walking out of the store empty handed and decided we would just call in the order. As soon as we walked out of the store my phone rang and this saleswoman was all defensive and said my coworkers said you said it was taking to long and blah blah blah which was not the case. She said I told you that financing couldn't be done outside the store. (Again we were paying with a CC) my husband actually had to hang up on her. We came home and found what we wanted online but the prices were much cheaper In store. So yesterday we called at 2:15. I asked for Logan who said let me get my manager on this and get order together and I'll call you right back. Never got a call back. No email! No nothing. We are very frustrated and we will most likely be doing business elsewhere. This was the worst experience of my life trying to purchase something and my husband works for a car dealership and he even said if his sales people ever did that they would be fired. I don't know who runs the Manchester,NH store but you need to address these issues. For us,the hours invested to start all over again is BS. read more

Was happily surprised! Was expecting the furniture to be over priced but it is all reasonable and good quality. There are many different styles and options. Sales people are great, they don't hound or follow you at all. If you need help ask for Marie, she's great, polite, and knowledgeable. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! read more

Low cost furniture with even lower quality. I purchased a server from them, I was told its made of real wood. After waiting over 2 months for delivery one of the drawers was de-laminating. I purchased some new furniture for my new apartment in the beginning of April 2021. At the time of purchase I was told to expect delivery at the end of June. It is now Sept and I still have not received my furniture. No one is able to provide me with an accurate delivery time since furniture is being made in Amish country and there is limited communication between Ashley and the furniture manufacturer. It has been 5 Plus months now since I paid for my order and still no one can provide me with accurate information. Truly this has been the worst customer service experience I've ever had. The store sales team should have been honest upfront when I was purchasing. Management is very slow to reply if and when they do. One of my orders has been at their warehouse and delivery company can't deliver till the second order arrives. Covid can only be used as an excuse for so long.....going on 6 months!!! I went into the store knowing exactly what I wanted. The sales rep just needed to fill out the paperwork and make it happen. I explained that we were in a rush to get our new bed as we were currently sleeping on an air mattress, and I have an issue with my back. The sales rep told me that a delivery truck went to the distribution center every day, and that our order would be in very quickly. I was given the paperwork with the number for the distribution center. Two weeks later I still hadn't heard anything, and started making phone calls. My order was supposed to be on the delivery last friday. Friday came and went, and no phone calls. I called Saturday and they said it would be on that truck, and I could come pick it up next week between 10 and 4. Those are hard hours to make work when you have a job. They mentioned that they could deliver for me in a few more weeks. We agreed that if the furniture came in on Saturday's truck they would call me so I could come pick it up. No word until I finally called them at 2:00 on Saturday afternoon. They told me I could come over, but they closed at 4:00. When I got to the distribution center they were blasting death metal music loud enough that nobody could tell that I was there. There appeared to be a bunch of people at the facility, but nobody that could help the ever growing cue of people in line to pick up furniture. When they were finally able to take my slip, they disappeared for 20 minutes with no word. They finally came back to tell me that my adjustable frame was damaged in shipping, and there wasn't another one in the facility. They told me to go check in with the office and they would order me a new one. At this point I took the mattress because it was better than the air mattress we were currently on, but we're still on the floor. The lady in the office told me they would order me a new frame, and that it would probably be about 2 weeks before it came in. Maybe only 1 week if they could get a manager to "expedite" it. She said she would call me on Tuesday to give me an ETA. Well, today's Tuesday, and I haven't received a call. Finally broke down and called the store I purchased from. They have insisted that the frame is scheduled to be delivered this Friday or Saturday, but that's all she knows. I'm beyond frustrated at this point, but I don't have much recourse. I need the items, and if I were to cancel an order now I would have to pay a restocking fee, and still wait for a new set to be delivered to my house. I would gladly pay a little more to have some sort of customer service when ordering furniture. read more

Purchased a sectional couch on 11/14/2015. The couch was delivered on 12/15/2015. Before entertaining on 12/24/2015, we fluffed up the cushions and decided to check under the cushions for any dirt/food that might have fallen with the intent of cleaning the couch before our party. When we pulled off one of the cushions we discovered the stitching had come undone along a side seam. No tear, just stitches that had let go. Immediately sent an email to customerservice@ashleynh.com - the email address listed on our receipt. Today is 01/05/2016 and 2 email messages to customer service later, we have still not heard one word from Ashley. Now that I've read many unflattering reviews, I will be taking my pictures to the Ashley store, in person, to try to get resolution. The couch isn't even 2 months old yet. read more

Terrible experience shopping here. Although its one location and staff is the same its 2 stores with 2 different systems. You have to pay separately if it comes from upstairs and again if it includes downstairs. Wouldn't be that bad accept customer service is horrible. Meaning they cant track orders between the two, delivery isn't synced, and there customer service is constantly confused. When i call for an order status 8 weeks later they dont know what is going on and only can email the supplier. My advice is to skip going here and head on down to Salem stores. read more

I waited 9 weeks to have my furniture delivered. It was delivered yesterday damaged and broken. Now I have to wait 3 more weeks for a tech. to come out and service the piece. The piece is unusable. I'm dissatisfied that the furniture was damaged during delivery by individuals who work for Ashley and it's not a priority for them to come out and fix this brand new furniture. Customer service can go a long way. I cannot recommend Ashley Furniture for this reason. read more

Since the building has 2 stores in 1 trying to by furniture here is a total nightmare. The sales team is isolated to focus on only 1 brand. So, if you are buying products from Ashley & Ashbrook you have to work with 2 different associates and the sale becomes disjointed. We bought the bedroom set from 1 store but the mattress / box spring from another. When it was delivered today the installer told me that box springs are not needed with a platform bed so he would take them back with him and I should call the store for a credit. That is a pain. The drawers in the nightstand and the under-bed storage are IMPOSSIBLE to open. Kind of crappy...wish I had stuck to my guns and spent more at Ethan Allen. The two stores also have a similar layout so if you go back to look at a few different points in time trying to make decisions you forget which store had the furniture you liked and it is time consuming to find it again. Also, my order was delivered IN 3 DIFFERENT DELIVERIES! So I had to wait around my house 3 days. It was supposed to be 2 and I was ok with that but when the 2nd delivery came the driver only had 1 of 6 items. He said I would have to call the dispatcher to find out what happened. So, while all my furniture had arrived in the warehouse, the note was overlooked to marry the two orders for delivery (note was in the system but overlooked). This was my first experience with this location and I spent thousands...I personally won't go back. read more

not a place to buy a matress if you want it delivered in a reasonable time, 3 weeks and no phone call on a delivery date and I called them and went to the store, they told me delivery would be right away they have my matress. next day no call no matress. so my next step was to cancel and get my money back. to many excuses and not very sorry for the issue, won't even let me talk to the main manager, just said to themby phone to give him his money back. wow never again read more

Went to purchase a sofa on a weekend. Saw only 1 sofa that looked OK. Had a very inexperienced salesperson who had no knowledge about the product or any of the fabrics. He had to keep asking questions up at the desk. It was a Broyhill sofa. Looked at their fabric samples but none was acceptable, so I bought the one with the fabric that was on the floor. Was told it would take 8 weeks until delivery. After researching the sofa, found out it had bad reviews about springs popping up after a year or 2 years of use. So I went back to the store to the following weekend to cancel my order. The manager (I won't mention his name) canceled the sale and I have the receipt and the invoice to prove that that the sale was cancelled. The following morning I get a call from another manager (again won't mention her name) informing me that I can't cancel the sale, because it was a special order. I told her the sale was already cancelled and this was not a special order. The couch that was on the floor with the same fabric is on other websites, such as Boscov's which is a department store in NJ, Sofa'sand sectionals, which is a online site and Wayfair which is another online shopping site. This is a standard fabric that is put on this couch. I told her this was a standard fabric that is put on this couch and not a special order. This suppose manager also had no knowledge of the fabric that is on the couch. I also want to mention on these other site's this same sofa is cheaper that what Ashley-Ashbrook Home Store was charging for the same sofa and same fabric. She then went on to tell me she was going to charge my credit card, I told her that if she did I will make a complaint to my credit card company and to the better business bureau. The she went on to say, NOW I am stuck with a couch. How can she be stuck with a couch that was never made yet and was going to take 8 weeks for delivery. This has to be the worst customer service and management person of all times. Even after reading the reviews we stopped in to look at their goods. No high pressure sales people that we ran in to....matter of fact we had to ask for help. Found the same bedroom set we had looked at earlier elsewhere for $400 less. Asked about financing and were approved in 5 minutes. We were told 3 to4 weeks for delivery...ended up being one week. Delivery was within window quoted..quick, professional and everything was in great condition. Very happy with purchase. read more

Hi everyone buying a Ashley product is the biggest wrong decision I made . I bought a beagle recliner sofa almost a year back from local retailer and After delivery like 8 months it sarted pealing off if I call Ashley guys they say call retailer and retailer will not respond Idont understand why this guys give franchise to such retailers. I bought it from sclamos and 4 months I tried to call and meet no response finally it is yr whom should I blame as they already attained good will they are least bothered about customer. retailer will have many options as we trust the brand Ashley we purchase that so I believe they ll respond .customers are purpose of work not intreption. So 3 weeks ago we ordered a new living room set from Ashley Furniture in Manchester. They said 2-3 weeks for it to come in, and we choose pick up because they wanted to charge us $120.00 for delivery. I called a few times to check the status of where our set was, I mean it shouldn't take that long to come from anywhere in the USA. When I called earlier this week, I was told it was coming from PA...ok that's only a few hours away, so why the hell it is taking they the full 3 weeks to get it??? I was told it would be at the warehouse in Hudson on Saturday (yesterday)! So no call yesterday or today, so I call the store again to be told that the warehouse is closed today. WHAT...no one told me this...not once!! So then she says well they are open M-F from 10am-4pm. I was like we are at work between those hours. Who isn't are work between those hours. I asked her if they wanted to pay my husbands hourly rate to take the time off to go there for the sheer inconvenience. She said to let her speak with the manager and she would call me back. Well I get a call from Sandy the manager, and she tells me that she can't help us, we can get it during the week between 10-4 or wait till next Sat. So I said, so now I am waiting 4 weeks. I have a family of 5, no living room set, my kids are sitting on the floor. Would you like your kids to have to sit on the floor...do you have kids??? How would you like it for them to sit on the floor. She couldn't respond to me. She just said to me that she can cancel my order if I would like or pick it up. What great customer service. This was a $1500.00 PURCHASE. They wanted us to pay $120.00 MORE to deliver it from Hudson to Hudson....less then 10 miles. They were not willing to eat that delivery charge to keep a customer happy. So here I am, telling my story of poor customer service. If you want new furniture....DON'T GO TO ASHLEY FURNITURE. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!
