It really breaks my soul to have to leave this review/warning. I purchased a living room set under 24 months promotion . As soon as I left the store my promotion was changed to 12 months with no warning . Now I'm stuck with a $1,003.33 worth of interest and synchrony says they can't help me because they don't change promotion after 6 months . Ordered and paid in full for a rug in June 2025. Rug never showed up, called in August about where it was and when we could expect it. We were told it was backordered. Mind you it was supposedly in stock when we paid for it. Months have gone by now so we called 11/1/25 and canceled order and asked for a refund. we were told 7-10 business days for refund. Called again on 11/25/25, 12/13/25, and today 12/30/25. Every time we get the same story, still processing, should be 7-10 business days. This is the worst company I've ever dealt with, hands down. We were in need of a dining table and got a few from two different places. And all the furniture that was delivered was damaged or broken. Tables from the second store was made by Ashley and it was back ordered for 2 weeks. We finally got it and the leaf wouldn't line up and half of the chairs did t show. Then they sent us another one and a few more weeks and that was broken in the same spot. So we cancelled the whole thing. It's unfortunate that we keep getting broken stuff from them. I visited the store in Murfreesboro looking for a sofa and recliner. Did not find what I was looking for so I settled for different version. The sofa and recliner I sat on in the store was comfortable and fit my small body. . . my feet reached the floor and the seat was soft and comfortable. I asked the salesman and the cashier at the register if the delivery person could move the current furniture before placing the new in place and was assured that could/would happen. The furniture was delivered at about 7 pm by 2 men who SPOKE NO ENGLISH! SPANISH ONLY! So, we could not communicate! They refused to move the current furniture. Continued to wave his phone in my face . . . which also was in SPANISH! I tried to call the store but it was now after hours! The only person available was "Jenny" the Bot! First thing the next morning, I started calling the store to complain about the delivery and furniture! I was told 4 times, "There is no one available to speak to you. If they don't return your call, in a hour, call us back!" Four hours later, I STILL had not spoken to anyone other than a receptionist! The NEVERl returned my call! Meanwhile, the furniture was hard and uncomfortable! Finally, I filled a complaint with the Tennesseee Division of Consumer Affairs on Sept. 12th. Finally, on Oct.4th Ashley called me back. The bottom line is they have done nothing, continued to ignore my complaint and calls! We purchased a couch via Ashley online - Everything was good until delivery. We paid to have it delivered to a specific room and they left it in the middle of the first room they entered. The couch came damaged underneath. I call within a few hours to address it. The wait time to have it looked at is 2 weeks. They must have a long line of repairs needed. I do not think 2 weeks is reasonable when it came with issues. All you can reach is AI - or individuals that "have not control" over the claim. Extrememly frustrating. read more

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with "sales professionals". The original sales professional lied stating that a certain piece of furniture would look a certain way. Upon delivery it was the exact way we told her we did not want. Half the furniture was returned on delivery (damages/didn't meet expectations) which I was fine with. Went back in 10 days later to see about swapping a piece of furniture and seeing when the other furniture would be delivered. A different sales professional explained the hold up with getting the original furniture re delivered and said he would call back when it was all sorted out but would call at the end of business. I bought a new leather sofa from Ashley. It was delivered with significant dents and scratches on the back cushions. I went to the store where I bought it the next day. They told me to call customer service. I called and sent pics of the dents. They said they would file a claim and get back to me within 48 hours. A month later they said my claim was reviewed and they would ship me parts. A few days later I got replacement parts. I called and they made an appointment for a technician to come out. A month and a half after my purchase date, a technician came out and repaired my sofa. How can a furniture store operate like this? They sell you damaged furniture and then take a month and a half to repair your brand new furniture. The customer has no say if they want a refund or a new sofa delivered. Not even 1 year old and the chaise cushions feel like you've hit wood when you sit. I reached out to the Extended Warranty company. We purchased the 5 yr. They advise that cushions from wear/foam is not covered .  They recommend that I called the store manager because they might be able to help me out further.  I contacted the manager Joe at the Murfreesboro TN store.  He asked me to call their customer service line. I did, twice! They were supposed to send me an email with a price quote for replacement foam. That never happened. So yesterday I called the local store. Negative stars earned. Giving one star is generous. Ordered from Tommy a loveseat that was on the floor and showing in-stock. He input the wrong SKU #s and on the day of delivery we advised this is NOT the loveseat we ordered. Delivery team would not remove it so I immediately called their "customer care" hotline. After given the runaround, I was able to get the crew back out to remove the incorrect pieces. The correct loveseat pieces were then entered and luckily in-stock but not able to be delivered for a week. Ok, the day before Thanksgiving and guests coming. It was ok because they had it in the local area so we were ok. Received a confirming call and two text messages to be home to receive the furniture. Acknowledged all messages that we would be home. Now the evening before delivery I just received a call that "oops your loveseat is on backorder" and will not be delivered tomorrow as promised. I could not reach a live agent after numerous tries so I called their store where purchased. Lo and behold Tommy was working and I expected him to feel some sense of accountability to help rectify this mess. Nope. Blown off by Tommy. I had to call back to get him to respond after he was going to "call me right back". Now being shown in the text messages scheduler that I can get the loveseat after Thanksgiving (when needed) on December 7. Buying a couch here was exhausting . Salesman either couldn't do math or was purposely dishonest. He wouldn't give specifics of price, kept changing information, then wouldn't show us all the papers before expecting payment. We really wanted the couch, and thought that everything was straight after a manager got involved. Final update, for the bed at least. Multiple broken parts, missing hardware, and a full 5 months after delivery I was finally able to use my bed. It looks great but due to zero help from Ashley. They finally sent me the replacement posts, I asked about returning the broken ones, and was told "We don't want them back" and mentioning I couldn't throw them away as the garbage service doesn't pickup large items I was told "I don't care" from a "friendly" guy in a call center, he said in Mexico. Still no word on the sectional that was ordered 8 months ago, no updates, no delivery estimate, no contact, nothing. The reply from the business "far from our usual standards" is far from the truth as I've heard exactly the same thing from many many friends and family. Final update, for real this time, April 2022. Called to get a status on the sectional, was told it was ready for delivery, I asked about a discount for it being 6 months late without communication and was told, after 30 minutes waiting, they could request a discount but it would be better if I had it delivered and called back. I asked if I'd be stuck with the sectional at full price after it was delivered and the customer service employee, who was very nice, got quiet but said he understood. The TL;DR is don't be in a hurry, it will be much longer for delivery than you're told AND it may be broken when you receive it. read more

Ordered a bedroom set On July 19 So far I have only received a headboard and the dresser. That's 19 WEEKS. Still missing two nightstands side rails and the footboard, can't do much without those. Delivery of these items have been quoted and scheduled many different occasions. All I get from the store is a run around and another scheduled maybe it'll be there maybe it won't,hell we don't know. The Ashley website actually Actually shows the end table as being in stock. I can order them from the website, but the store which is a franchise of Ashley does not seem to be able to get them for me. Order me the night stands online, give me the footboard and rails from the floor maybe that is a solution. Ordered some barstools back in January and they still have not received them. I stopped by the store yesterday and got a refund for the bar stools I am also going to cancel the bedroom set and have them come pick up the headboard and dresser. Maybe I'll be there to let them pick it up, Who knows.Might have to reschedule that several times as I may not available. The worst customer service experience I have had to date. Purchased a $1600 bedroom set, was told by the sales associate when we purchased it they had a 72 hour no hassle return/refund policy if we were not satisfied with any part of it. Mattress showed up exceptionally hard/thin/could feel the springs, very poor quality. Nothing like what we tried in store. Attempted to return the unused mattress for a refund (15 minutes after it was delivered) and ended up in call center purgatory. Apparently they can't initiate refunds in the store, it has to be done via call center. I even offered to pay a restock fee. Was just transferred from one unhelpful person to the next. Finally gave up. Moral of the story: the sales people they employ will tell you whatever it takes in order to get you to swipe the card, they do not stand behind their product (not even for 24 hours), and will mislead you at every turn. I purchased a sectional set from Ashley Furniture on March 5, 2023. I initially told the salesman I wanted to pay majority of the balance using gift cards but needed to wait until I received a refund from a different furniture store. The salesman told me that in order to lock in the price I needed to open a finance account that day and to come back to the store once I received my refund and use the gift cards to pay down the balance. On delivery day, the delivery guys didn't know how to put together furniture and delivered it unwrapped. One of the pieces had a rip and the cushion on top had noisy plastic inside. I called the salesman and he said if I called the customer service number I could not be refused replacements since they came damaged. I called customer service and was told that the delivery guys didn't close out my order because I didn't sign anything saying that the furniture was delivered so they couldn't request replacements until the next day. I called again the next day, sent pictures of the damage and was told not to worry about the cushion since I couldn't take a picture of the inside, it would be replaced. I then received a very unprofessional email from the manager using texting language and incomplete sentences saying that I couldn't get replacements and a tech needed to assess the damage. If it wasn't repairable they would then replace the pieces. This was NOT what I was told initially. She said someone would contact me within 24-48 hours, but it has been 6 days. I went to Ashley Furniture today and was told that I couldn't pay using my gift cards because the furniture was delivered and needed to pay via the finance company. The finance company will only accept payments from a bank account. This has been an absolutely horrible experience. I have been completely lied to and tricked into opening an account so the salesman could make a sale causing me to pay with money I do not have when he assured me that I could still pay using my gift cards. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had in buying furniture for my home. We ordered the furniture June 2nd. They cancelled three delivery dates we had scheduled and then when they did deliver the furniture 3 weeks later it was all damaged or the wrong item was delivered. They also damaged our walls and doors when they brought the furniture in. We were told they were going to compensate us for the damage but we haven't heard anything from them even though we filed a complaint. It took us until the end of December for Ashley to fix or exchange the pieces. We are still in dispute with the credit card company because items that were returned are still on the charge card. One item they sent to the wrong address and are telling us that they delivered it so we have to pay for it. We live in TN and they delivered the item to AZ. We were told by the store manager that we would receive a discount for all the trouble we had once everything was worked out. LOL! Well now Ashley doesn't have store managers that you can actually talk to... so the sales person we dealt with no longer works there nor does the manager that we were working with. I love my furniture and the sales guys were great. If I could leave the review for those guys it would be a five, however, it's not a complete experience without delivery. First, I was scheduled for a Saturday and guess what, cancelled with notice. Reschedule for the next Saturday, OK. Window for delivery 1215-315, ok cool. Get an text saying 21 minutes out. I'm ready. One gore and forty mins later they arrive. A bit irritated now. Guy comes in and asked to see where the furniture was going. I showed them. Then... The salesperson in the store who says "Call me if you run into any problems" DOES NOT work for Ashley Furniture. He refers you to a customer service number where they....wait for it....DO NOT WORK FOR ASHLEY FURNITURE. They cuss and swear and verbally abuse you when you ask them to cancel your order and refund. Accounting takes one full month to process your refund check they said would take 5-10 days. You'll have to call at least 5 times before they process it. PLEASE, do not go through what we went through over a $400 table. Please do not give this store in Murfreesboro your money. I have been overcharged several hundred dollars, to which I was told wasn't their fault, and essentially tough luck. Sloppy Operation: Never Again 1) From 3 sources of information, no 2 pieces supported each other. - Website - App - Email Updates All sources had different information about billing, shipping, and protection plan. 2) I contacted the Chat on the website for clarification 3 times, to find out they cancelled my protection plan. - I literally got on chat to confirm my protection plan was there. (with 3 different pieces of information on this, it was confusing) - I was assured it was there, Then they removed it. - I have all chat transcripts saved. 3) I called to get my protection plan placed back on the order. - I was informed they "would place a note on my order that I requested the protection plan, and if there was any damage they would repair" - Not being an idiot, I told them I needed something in writing that my 5 year protection plan would be honored. She put me on hold and came back stating that was not possible. 4) Their solution was to cancel the order, and re order. - The pieces all had different shipping dates, They could not apply the currently shipped items to the new order. - They would have to intercept the packages, and ship new ones. I ordered 2 brown valebeck bar stools, sale person put in wrong sku and I received 2 grey. Called the stor3 and was told to call GRT who promptly told me to call the store. After I finally got in touch with a manager, Andy, he said he entered the proper information and I would need to call GRT back and they would take care of getting my exchange. Called GRT back and was told he entered wrong info would need to call the store. Called the store got th3 he is busy will call you back, no call. Called back left my info yet again, no call back. I called th3 store talked to another manager Joe, said he would take care of it and promised to call me back the next day no call. Yet another call to the store and talked to Charity who swore it was taken care of and right chairs would be delivered on Thursday or Friday and she would keep on top of it. No call back to let me know which day, called the store back and got yet another sales person Ellen who told me I would need to call GRT, when I through the BS flag she said she would take care of it. Today, my 7 month nightmare with Ashley furniture finally ended. I am still totally amazed at the horrible customer service Ashley gives. They are all sweet and nice and happy until you sign that order form. Once they have your signature, the sales person, the store managers, the customer service people, all of them will ignore you, tell you lie after lie and blame anyone else they can for your "misfortune." I ordered an office desk in August, after canceled delivery dates, damaged pieces being delivered, Ashley employees blaming me and telling me that they have a no return policy, I had to get a lawyer involved to finally get my desk delivered today. I think insanity is believing that Ashley furniture might care about you as much after you make your purchase as it does when trying to make a sale. A few weeks ago my husband and I came into the Murfreesboro location. I wasn't thrilled about shopping at Ashley again after a horrible experience with the Franklin, TN location several years ago, but I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. We purchased a dining room table, several chairs, a bench, a server, and a TV stand. We were told that everything would be delivered by November 9th. Perfect! Just in time for family events and Thanksgiving. On Wednesday, November 7th I got a call confirming my delivery date and time frame and on Thursday, November 8th I got a courtesy call to let me know that there was an issue with our table and we might not get it on the 9th. That sucks, but fine. We were hosting a big family event, but things happen. At least we'll have it for Thanksgiving. The 9th comes and everything but the table is delivered. The delivery men get here earlier than expected but that's alright because both my husband and myself took time off of work to accept the delivery and get it set up. I express my dissatisfaction with not receiving my entire order and one of the delivery guys tells me that they should have called me earlier in the week when they found out and rescheduled our delivery. They did not. So now I have chairs, but no table. I hosted my entire family and repeated apologized and explained the mix-up, but that we should have our table soon and everything will be set for Thanksgiving. Today, November 11th, I get a text message telling me that my furniture is ready for scheduling and to confirm the date I would like my delivery, the earliest being the week after Thanksgiving. What really got me upset was that I did everything on my end correct, we went weeks ahead of time to purchase this furniture and we GAVE ASHLEY A SECOND CHANCE and yet again we get screwed. I called the number provided and was basically told that there was nothing they could (would?) do to get it delivered before then and that it isn't their fault that there was a back order and that the 30th was the earliest they could possibly deliver. I am beyond frustrated with this company. How you can disregard customers after they place their orders is horrible. That should have been the first clue of the disaster that was to come, but the item was an exclusive so we had limited options. The items were not delivered on 11/06/2020, so they re-scheduled to 11/11/2020. A few days before that date, we received a text message (not a call) telling us delivery was moved to 11/12/2020. On 11/11/2020, we received a call telling us they wouldn't be able to do the full delivery on 11/12/2020. When I complained, the representative hung up on me. I called back and held for 20 minutes before the representative told me the new date is 11/17/2020. We will see. 1) We purchased many different furniture items from several other stores around the same time. None had the delays Ashley did originally and none had to re-schedule their original dates (some were early). The only items we are still waiting on is Ashley. If the item wasn't an exclusive I would cancel it and look elsewhere. 2) Look around for other stores before buying from here. If it's exclusive, you have no choice. But Price Point Furniture and FMO have much quicker deliveries, better customer service, significantly better prices, and many of the same items (exclusives excluded). 3) Avoid Ashley Furniture at all cost, including this location. Don't make our mistake unless you're into weirdly higher prices, terrible wait times on deliveries, multiple re-scheduled deliveries, and horrendous wait times. Just stay away. Read the reviews. I also had a horrible experience with Ashley. I now have a furniture issue I need to address. I live 1.5 hours away from the store. Since every time I go to the store no manager or help is available, I called to see if I could speak with management by phone or, if not, will the manager be in-store Tuesday or Wednesday. Ordered a $1600 bed frame and nightstand set on 7/18, was told to expect an 8 week turnaround for delivery. 8 weeks later (9/14), no updates. Don't expect to see anything for at least another month at this pace. Called the store to get any type of update - spend 15 minutes on hold TWICE without an actual person ever even picking up the phone. How are you supposed to even check on an order or cancel at this rate? I guess you'll only get service (lip service at that) by actually going into the store. I ordered my furniture in May. They didn't tell me until after I paid cash that they were 6-8 weeks out on deliveries but they would put me down for ASAP. OK, well I get a text saying my furniture will be here July 31. I took the day off and waited, around lunch I called them. They said on sorry computer glitch, your furniture will be here 8-5 we will deliver on 8-6. Ok I took off again and no call no nothing. I called again no apologies, no calls saying it wasn't coming. Now they are telling me mid to end of Sept. I asked for a manger to call me back and still nothing. I will never buy from them again. They have had my money since May. I would not recommend this Ashley furniture store to anyone!! Terrible experience after the sale. Everything went very downhill after the Sale. First off I paid entirely too much for my mattress and bedframe, Especially for it to of BROKE within two weeks. Then once my couch was delivered, the delivery team BROKE the couch and refused to take it back. Sales team would not help me. You have to stay on the phone for hours getting the run around.
