This review would have been negative stars, but this is not an option, so.. We found a sectional at Ashley.com that appeared to fit a tight space in our home and the online chat was amazing with their help, even providing us with a coupon, but we wanted to see it in person before ordering.... Enter Ashley Homestore in Pinellas. So, buying from an Ashley Homestore was a poor experience in diving back into the brick-and-mortar experience. The Pinellas store where we went to look at the sectional we had previously seen online, was not what we expected. No one at the front. No one greeted us. No one even acknowledged our presence until we were halfway through the store. Finally, a Sales Associate, Caleigh W., spoke to us as we were walking past her. She asked if anyone had greeted us; not "Is there anything I can help you find? However, we had the young lady placed the order later in the weekend, over the phone. She asked when we would like it delivered. We chose a date and asked her to send a PO before we would pay for our order. At that point, we did not even have a total. She emailed the PO and she had added on a fabric protection package and a higher price on the sectional pieces themselves. We had that corrected AND had her apply the coupon that CS Online sent to us. That as another warning sign we missed. Not even 24 hours later, our FedEx account sent us alerts that we were getting a delivery. A large delivery. And they stated that it was from Ashley. We reached out to Caleigh W., who stated, in writing, that our items had not shipped yet. We contacted FedEx again and they assured that it was arriving in the morning. Guess who was correct? Caleigh W. was still sticking to her story even after some pieces were in our living room. Once all the pieces (4) were here, 2 were a different color. Almost dirty/old looking. We sent pics and she forwarded them to her "manager". He agreed they were the wrong color but that we would need to bring them to the store and then go to the warehouse to pick up the new ones. We did not have any way to do that, which is why we had them delivered, otherwise we would have shopped elsewhere with Cash and Carry. We asked if they could arrange for the boxes to be picked up. He said no. Not sure what to do at this point as one of the boxes was huge, we reached out to Ashley.com who stated that because we purchased in store versus online, there was not a lot that they could do to help. They did what they could, which is assign us a case number. We had a neighbor help us load these items into a truck and drive them back to the store which had no loading dock, so we had to carry the items through the store and to the back in CS. It was ridiculous. No wonder people love online furniture shopping so much; it is so much nicer to be able to get the thorough email communication and seamless return order pickup! Got our drop off receipts and a "promise" that the sales associate would reach out to us with our new order for the replacement pieces. Crickets day one. Crickets day two. We called her. No answer. Texted. Emailed. Same. Then while we were working, she left a voicemail that was inquiring what we needed her to order. So, either she completely forgot, or she is really poor at her job. Either option, not good. We tried calling her back, but each time we went right to voicemail and then she would text. One time she was sick, next it was her day off, next she was gone on vacation. Sent emails to Tamara Q., the store's CS but did not hear back. Sent a message on FB. Chatted online on the website. Finally, having run out of options, we reached out to our VISA. This was the ONLY entity to have actually helped us with this situation. We sent them all of the information we had, including every single text, email, all PDFs and photos and said we needed to dispute the items returned in order to simply place the replacement order ourselves online. Needless to say, VISA was all over it. They pulled the money back for those items while it was being investigated. That is why we finally magically received the missing pieces. VISA MADE them fill our order. The sectional itself is "meh" but we knew it was not the best quality going into it. It fit the space, like the suit fit Greg Brady (Johnny Bravo) LOL. So, in going through all of this, we discovered that these "stores" are simply purchased Ashley Furniture franchises that have their own standards (or lack of) that they choose to live up to (or not). They don't seem to answer to the actual corporation. We also discovered that due to the popularity of online shopping, we can buy this stuff anywhere, and all have wonderful return/pickup policies, so we do not need to deal with an Ashley HomeStore again. There are great companies out there that actually want return business and want positive reviews (we found many, after the fact). Go find them online and stay far away from read more

Purchased a living room set in 2018 and called because the promotion period was expiring soon. I spoke on the phone to someone from the other store on Rt. 19 and they couldn't extend it because this store had the paperwork. When I called this store a woman told me I had to come in. So I went in and a woman told me in so many words "Too Bad, So Sad" but I had signed their agreement. After hearing my explanation, a man passed me along to his customer service boss. This man told me the manager would not be back until next Tuesday, but I would get a call then. Today is Friday, and no call and I don't expect any of them to actually do their job and follow up with a customer. If I were to ever buy from Ashley again it would be through the other store. Specifically went to store and picked that style out...Well apparently confusion set in w/sales guy and what I got was a farmhouse frame with no 4 posters. Bench I noticed is wobbly. Called and spoke to my sales guy.. he was going to put in a claim and check on other bedframes and have this one returned.. never heard back from him. STAY AWAY!!! I purchased a couch the first week of AUGUST. The sales man was great! The issues began the day of delivery. When the delivery guys came, they DROPPED the couch from the truck. (Not to mention that there's no way to communicate with the guys because they no 0 English.) As you can imagine the couch was damaged. I called the same day and had to schedule a tech to come fix the couch and replace broken parts. I was told it would take 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, I get a call LESS THAN 12 HOURS in advance telling me the tech would be over the next day. I had to reschedule because my family works and no one would be home. I rescheduled it for ANOTHER 4 weeks in advance. (End of September). I never received a confirmation, so I called the store and was told that the parts were ordered and needed to wait for them. After complaining that I am couchless for 3 months, they decided to replace the whole couch. Today, the new couch came in and the USB does not work once again. I will not be returning to ANY Ashley store. Such a shame. 1500$ down the drain and wasted for having to deal with so many issues that were never resolved. read more

Visited this Ashley store for dining set. Luckily, we were helped by Kristin Thomson. She was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. At no point she rushed us. Once she got some idea what we were looking for, she showed us options. We spent about three hours in the store. She made herself available the entire time to make sure our questions were answered in detail. We will go back to this Ashley for other furniture needs mostly because of her helpfulness and professionalism. I need to add that her supervisor, Samantha, was awesome too when it came to questions that required supervisor's approval. I love my new bedroom set and the delivery was perfection! On time careful friendly guys. My sales person Rachel was genuine and friendly. They didn't have a bed I needed in stock but they made some magic happen did find it for me. Most of their items are in stock daily which is huge. Fair warning: this is a retail furniture store filled with gimmicky "great deals" and everyday phony 20% discounts. And it's pricey but the quality is good. This is the first that I have purchased furniture from Ashley's and from beginning to end it was a simple process. I kind of knew what I wanted to purchase to the sales associate didn't have to show me.much, just to help find the couch I looked at before. It's a huge showroom, with every beautiful piece of furniture I could ever want!!! The selection is amazing. The sales associate, with her amazing x-ray vision to find a couch amongst the thousands of pieces inside the store, led me right to the couch I'd seen online. The great news was it was 50% off. Was such great deals going on for Black Friday I decided to purchase a kitchen table as well. We roam through the store found the exact table I had envisioned in my mind and within 15 minutes I was out the door. Delivery was scheduled for a week later, I received information via text and email. Even the morning of delivery I was given a link so I could track the truck and know about what time it will be delivering my items. Update: When you purchase the extended warranty from Ashley, they sell it to a third party. That third party, then outsources the work to someone else. It is 6+ months since I made the claim on the couch and it still isn't fixed, but I have given up. They did replace the part, so at least I can get put it up and down, however, the new button did not come with screws, nor can they seem to get screws to fit. So...fingers crossed, the part doesn't fall out. They also do not progress the work order unless you call one of the 2 companies, do not call Ashley, because once it's under the extended warranty, they have washed their hands of it. It took me 12 phone calls and 2 visits and 6+ months and a I said above, it's not completely fixed. Never again will I shop at Ashley Homestore. Wish I could give them a zero! read more

NOT a good choice I purchased 2 full mattresses and 2 full bed frames. I paid for "premium" delivery on all of the above...they could not deliver for 11 days. The day of delivery they showed up with 2 mattresses and 1 bed frame, driver said he guess the other frame must be on back-order. Warning: Do not purchase anything for delivery from Ashley. My wife bought some furniture from Ashley HomeStore in Pinellas Park. When we had it delivered the delivery guys said they couldn't fit the bookcase through the door. Brought it back a week later, still assembled but now with scratches, had to have our contractor explain to tip it upright and scooch it around a corner. Bookcase has scratches from the 2 deliveries. Delivery guys went to leave, backed into a wall in our complex, scratched and gouged the concrete. Left at a high rate of speed in front of a half dozen witnesses. Complex came back to us and charged us $250 for damages made by Ashley. We've called Ashley - No response. Do not purchase anything from these people, at least not for delivery. read more

They never called. When I called them they said it was back ordered. This store is absolute garbage! I bought a bedroom furniture set and 2 out of the 4 pieces were damaged and broken. It will have taken nearly 3 months for these pieces to be replaced. In this time, I've been no-showed by techs twice, had my dresser delivery date moved three times and have been hung up on by the manager at least 5 times. Oh and good luck calling the store for help, it generally takes 30+ minutes to get through to someone! I can't believe how atrocious the customer service is here, as well as how badly assembled the furniture is. Wonderful Customer Service UNTIL they get your $ . . . We ordered a queen bedroom set Oct 15th, waiting until a Dec 2 delivery because of an Ashley manufacturing backlog. After spending $3500+, their delivery guys refused to set up the new bed until our old one was removed. My wife and I are in our seventies, not about to tote a Tempurpedic queen ANYWHERE. After describing the dilemma to two obviously able bodied Ashley delivery guys, they refused to even talk with our sales rep, Patty O'Bryant in the store. They finally relented, and set up the new bedroom set. Then, just as adamantly, they refused to remove the old foundation and set up the one they just took down in our other bedroom. These steps were all cleared with our sales rep before our order was placed. Our sales rep(s) Patty O'Bryant/Jeffrey Warner promised to call us back. Our experience with the Ashley store was very very good. Our salesperson was Sherry Booth and she was very knowledgeable and steered us in the right direction. She also did not try to sell us the most expensive items and took a lot of time with us. Unfortunately we had an issue with the furniture itself and dealing with the customer service department was very frustrating. But enter, Robert Grocher, manager of the Pinellas store. He was in constant contact with us and did not stop working for us, until a resolution was reached. He is an excellent example of what superior customer service should be. My rating is for the store itself. Their customer service could learn a lot from Robert. He and Sherry are the reason we definitely would go back to that particular store. Was told that company at warehouse tried to clean second couch and pass off as new. I bought new, I expect new. Disgusting !!!! Purchased a bookshelf that arrived in a box with one shelf broken. The other two bookshelves arrived in one piece. Took the one broken shelf to the store and asked if they would swap it out with a shelf in the store. The answer was a resounding NO I would have to wait 6 - 8 weeks for a replacement shelf to be shipped to me. I asked for the manager who refused to come out and speak with me, have to wait. Very terrible customer service. We bought sectional sofa, dining set, and King size bed. Every single item was delivered with something wrong. we had to work with their schedule for multiple deliveries. they probably think that customers don't have job to do and can just wait at home many times because of their mistake and product defect. First time delivery: wrong sectional sofa set and missing parts in King size bed Second time delivery: wrong King size head board The third time they are supposed to come at 3:30pm to repair the dining set, the dining set was damaged during delivery. We paid thousands on the dining set and we accepted to have a repair item instead of returning them. They were supposed to come at 3:30pm to repair, but they came early on 2:30pm. So when we got home on 3:30, they already left. We worked with our schedule to get home at 3:30, they just left because they got here 2:30? This is not acceptable. We called the dispatcher and she just got out of control and yelled at the phone with no respect. We had to call another number to re-schedule once again. Of course this time we still have to work with their schedule. I don't know when this is going to end, I just hope I don't have anything to do with Ashely in my life. I don't care how good their furniture quality is. This company has serious issue and people need to know. They are all nice when u walked in, and then everything after that was crap. read more

I purchased a dresser on line to match with the king size set I purchased when I moved here from NY. The dresser was damaged when I received, filed complaint and received confirmaton of exchange. That was over a month ago, two confirmation exchange emails, they never happened. Received a call this morning confirming exchange tomorrow between 9-1, 2 hours later received another email for delivery confirmation 3 days later. Spent over 1.5 hours on the phone, finally spoke with Emily in escaulation, she promised a call back before 6:30pm, never received a call back. I have paid for the dresser, was told I received a credit until exchange, never received.. I have purchased all of my furniture over the last 10 years from Ashley and once if ever I get a new dresser I will never purchase from them again. They lie and steal, I have confirmation emails and telephone confirmations and yet still have a piece of furniture that I paid for that I can't use. This was one of the most disappointing furniture shopping experience I've had. I went in looking to completely redecorate my living and dining room. The company may claim that they have a large show room, but the variety and quality of sofas they had was very poor. Of all the sofas they had, there was one that I was interested in, however given my concerns of color, I asked for a swatch sample so I can make sure it will match my apartment's floor color. They did not have this and acted as if this was unusual request. There was very little in terms of dining tables. Beds and bedroom furniture seem to dominate. As well as a see of almost identical poofy leather sofas. The salesperson did little to engage me and seemed indifferent to my questions or concerns. They admitted that they had multiple other customer complaints and "accepted responsibility" for it but refused to take the couch back and offered a 200 store credit. Then customer service had the nerve to tell me how to look under the couch in the future to verify the material.... so basically... don't trust the sign with the description or the sales person (?????). What the hell are we to do with that? This expensive piece of sh** is falling apart and now I find that it's going to cost over 100 bucks just to have it junked since salvation army and goodwill wont take it. I used to be a loyal customer and referred family and friends there.... but now I am telling everyone about this and recommending they stay far away. I purchased a couch and loveseat 3 yrs ago. I bought a brand new house and my couch is now peeling a rep came and try to fix it... it could not be fixed they offered me to fix this.... but it can not be fixed. which I took cause I am NOT going to be out of 3000.00 in furniture I hardly used. Ashley furniture deserves 0 stars. If you buy furniture from them be aware that although the sales team is generally really good, you essentially get passed off to 3 distinct and separate entities (delivery service, customer service and the warehouse). At times is seems like each entities is a different country. None of the entities talk to one another. They do not utilize a common database to review customer orders. They do not care about you once they get your money. I purchased patio furniture from them. They delivered the wrong furniture 3 times...3 times! I had to explain and re-explain and explain again and again. I ended up talking to 24 different people. Each time I had to tell the person what I had ordered and they would argue with me. Multiple times they tried to give me extra furniture that I did not pay for. On one occasions the delivery guy asked if I spoke Spanish then tried to sell me stollen furniture. I told customer service and they told me I needed to call the delivery department... This company is so disjointed I am still in disbelief. After the third time they delivered the wrong furniture I arranged to pick up the rest of my order (2 patio chairs) at the warehouse. I had to wait over an hour for 2 freaking chairs! Other customers arrived after me picked up entire bedroom sets and left. I kept being told 5 more minutes, 10 more minutes, 15 more minutes... I don't expect to be treated like royalty or anything but after everything that happened and then knowing I was picking up 2 small chairs, you think they would just sit them to the side...NOPE! Not Ashley furniture. They did nothing to right their wrong and still want to charge me for delivery. I was a repeat customer with them. Couch, bedroom set, patio furniture. Not anymore.
