We were told we were buying a leather couch... but it turned out to be a pleather couch with a leather couch price. They admitted that they had multiple other customer complaints and "accepted responsibility" for it but refused to take the couch back and offered a 200 store credit. Then customer service had the nerve to tell me how to look under the couch in the future to verify the material.... so basically... don't trust the sign with the description or the sales person (?????). What the hell are we to do with that? This expensive piece of sh** is falling apart and now I find that it's going to cost over 100 bucks just to have it junked since salvation army and goodwill wont take it. I used to be a loyal customer and referred family and friends there.... but now I am telling everyone about this and recommending they stay far away. I wish I could say you get what you pay for- but we got scammed big time and paid top dollar for a couch that should have been tossed in the trash before it even hit the sales floor. Ashley furniture deserves 0 stars. If you buy furniture from them be aware that although the sales team is generally really good, you essentially get passed off to 3 distinct and separate entities (delivery service, customer service and the warehouse). At times is seems like each entities is a different country. None of the entities talk to one another. They do not utilize a common database to review customer orders. They do not care about you once they get your money. I purchased patio furniture from them. They delivered the wrong furniture 3 times...3 times! I had to explain and re-explain and explain again and again. I ended up talking to 24 different people. Each time I had to tell the person what I had ordered and they would argue with me. Multiple times they tried to give me extra furniture that I did not pay for. On one occasions the delivery guy asked if I spoke Spanish then tried to sell me stollen furniture. I told customer service and they told me I needed to call the delivery department... This company is so disjointed I am still in disbelief. After the third time they delivered the wrong furniture I arranged to pick up the rest of my order (2 patio chairs) at the warehouse. I had to wait over an hour for 2 freaking chairs! Other customers arrived after me picked up entire bedroom sets and left. I kept being told 5 more minutes, 10 more minutes, 15 more minutes... I don't expect to be treated like royalty or anything but after everything that happened and then knowing I was picking up 2 small chairs, you think they would just sit them to the side...NOPE! So far my experience with Ashley HomeStore has been excellent. I was there last Saturday and was greeted by Elisa Anderson who let me go in and wander on my own which I prefer! Later she came and found me and showed me 5-7 sectionals of which I bought the first one she showed me after I left to look at another store. She never pressured me, asked intelligent questions and basically gave me a pleasant furniture shopping experience which I can't say I have had before. The sales woman was great and so was the delivery guys BUT... I bought a dining table set and matching server that was delivered 4 weeks ago. They are cheaply made and the server is falling apart. DO NOT GO HERE! We decided to spend the money and buy the best bed that we could. Our salesman recommended a $2,000 bed and we went for it. We were so excited for it to get here. The first night on it was excruciatingly painful for both us. We called our salesman and he said that we needed to spend a few nights on to let our bodies adjust. The next night was worse. We called again, he said we needed to spend more time adjusting to it. After calling each day afterwards begging to do an exchange or something, they would say our salesman isn't in but we wouldn't get calls back. Now it's too late, they lied to us pushed us around and we are stuck with a $2,000 mattress that causes us to wake up with severe lower back pain to the point that I can't stand up immediately when I wake up and my wife twists and turns all night. I purchased a dresser on line to match with the king size set I purchased when I moved here from NY. The dresser was damaged when I received, filed complaint and received confirmaton of exchange. That was over a month ago, two confirmation exchange emails, they never happened. Received a call this morning confirming exchange tomorrow between 9-1, 2 hours later received another email for delivery confirmation 3 days later. Spent over 1.5 hours on the phone, finally spoke with Emily in escaulation, she promised a call back before 6:30pm, never received a call back. I have paid for the dresser, was told I received a credit until exchange, never received.. I have purchased all of my furniture over the last 10 years from Ashley and once if ever I get a new dresser I will never purchase from them again. They lie and steal, I have confirmation emails and telephone confirmations and yet still have a piece of furniture that I paid for that I can't use. Everything started out good. The salesman, Bill, was a very nice guy and helped me choose the barstools I wanted. Due to the holiday, they didn't have them all in stock and were going to deliver some now and some in 3 weeks. Initially, I agreed, but after coming home and giving it thought decided against it as I could purchase the same chairs and get them immediately from a competitor. And that's when all the problem started. I don't live in Pinellas Park, I love an hour away. But the Pinellas Park store was the only one that had a particular piece of furniture in their showroom that I wanted to touch/feel/ see in person (it wasn't in the showroom in my local store). I had the day off and had wanted to look at some other furniture stores while over there that we don't have locally. For the refund, I went to my local store with the receipt - delivery was scheduled for the following day - and I told them I wanted a refund on the chairs. They told me that each store's computers are individualized and one can't do a transaction for another. No problem. I called the store in Pinellas Park (PP) and James answered the phone. He told me that I can't get a refund unless I drive back to the PP store to refund it. It's their "store policy" because there's "paperwork". It was paid in full on my credit card, it wasn't financed. I told him that is completely unnecessary and I'm not doing it. It would be a 2 hour round trip drive just to refund something I haven't yet received. No. I want to speak to a manager. He said the manager wasn't in but he could leave a message for him to call me later. Yeah, right. I asked for the name of the manager. He said Troy. I was still in the local store and asked the manager here about the "store policy" and she said that was not the store policy. They have people order and get refunded over the phone often. I had one of the local store employees call the PP store. She got James. She asked if I could get a refund and after putting her on hold to "talk to the manager", he told her I had to drive to the store. No again. I called my credit card company who couldn't yet dispute the charge because it hadn't posted but assured me this was absolutely ridiculous for a nationwide chain and it would be disputed once posted (still in pending status). I called back to the PP store and asked for Bill this time. James answered again with a "what is your name?" I didn't give it. They agreed to get Bill. I sat on hold for 25 minutes before I hung up and called back. But this time I blocked my number. A woman answered this time. I asked for Bill and they got him within 5 minutes. Surprise, surprise. As soon as he heard my voice, he addressed me by name. Again, nice guy. He mentioned that my number was blocked (well, that explains a lot). I explained the situation and he agreed to the refund. But wait. I have to drive back into the store. Not happening. Again, I live 2 hours away round trip. I read the back of the contract statement attached to my receipt which stated that if I have not received the merchandise, I am entitled to a 100% refund as long as I CALL the Ashley Furniture Home Store where I purchased the item(s). I told him we can make this a legal issue if we have to. He said he'd get the manager as he didn't make the rules. I sat on hold another 10 minutes while the phone rang back a few times and I got re-placed on hold repeatedly. Finally, Wes answers - who is the manager. Turns out Troy didn't come in until late afternoon and Wes had been there the whole time. James had given me misinformation. I again asked for a refund and Wes said no problem, they just require I come in to the store. AGAIN, NO. I read the verbiage on the back of the contract which entitles me to refund with a Phone Call!! Wes told me that they just require me to return to prove the person calling for the refund is the person who ordered it. Complete BS. They could have verified that while I was standing in the local store. Plus, Bill addressed me by name at the sound of my voice. They know who I am by now. He decide to "make an exception" and agree to the refund but they just had to ask some verification questions - name, phone number, credit card number. Like it was all that serious. I FINALLY got my refund without more drama. I will not shop at Ashley Furniture again. Over $500 worth of barstools, they lost a customer for life. I'm not sure what kind of "management" they have but this type will lose major business for their brand. I had eyed a sectional that was few thousand dollars while standing in the local store but will Not be buying it from them. I might've even given Bill the commission since he'd been so nice, but his management lost that for him too. Avoid the Pinellas Park Ashley HomeStore at all costs. I recently bought a bedroom set from here. Since the furniture was discontinued, they informed us that they do not deliver. So we arranged to come and pick it up. Once my husband and a friend got there to pick it up, he asked for help loading it into the trailer. He was told no. So he and our friend had to take each piece from the floor to the trailer. My husband asked if they could have some cardboard and some tape and was told no and that it was against their policy to give anything to customers. So he had to climb into the dumpster to pull out some cardboard himself. They were very rude, disrespectful, and unwilling to help. Do not buy here. You will not be told details of return policy. You will get a $900 sofa delivered that has a gaping hole in it but they will refuse to replace it and want to send someone out to "fix" it somehow but it'll be a month before the person will come. You will go to the store and attempt to return items that you took home day of purchase and they will then tell you "Oh you took it home w you and we didnt deliver it so we cant take it back" . So you're stuck with items you cant use. For almost 3 weeks, Ive attempted to get the General Manager, Bryan to call me and he has not and Ive been told by Assist Mgr, Al, and several other staff someone would call me or GM would and after I went there and I called over and over again ..no one has even bothered to take the time to return my calls. Worst experience Ive ever had at a furniture store or any business for that matter. And here I have a new sofa with a hole ripped in it and several pieces I cant use at all. This store's customer service is garbage. Ordered plenty of furniture from here to so it's a disappointment that I won't be shopping there again. Ordered a tv stand from them last month and confirmed the address while the sales lady was entering the order twice. Then they delivered the tv stand to the wrong address in a different city not once but twice. When it was delivered we noticed a shelf was chipped and a handle was missing. I called customer service and asked for the manager. I was told there wasn't one working and that the customer service department would be calling us shortly. They never did. This store is worthless. I'm going to start by saying I wrote a review, was going to update it. Not sure where it went. I called Ashley to repair a reclining sofa as it is stuck in the up position, this is warranty work. First of all, you have to wait 45 minutes to speak to anyone or have them call you back. The appt. was scheduled for 11 days after I filed the claim, nothing sooner. While filing the claim, I informed them of the trouble shooting that I had done. When the technician arrived, he confirmed that it was the mother board that was defective, however, they do not carry parts on their truck. So, he told me he would order the part, it would be delivered to my house, I was responsible for calling Ashley back and scheduling another appt (10 - 21 days out) to get it installed. However, after the technician left, Ashley called me to tell me that my extended warranty is covered by GBS and that I had to call them to file a claim to get the part ordered. Just got off the phone from them, they will request the tech report from Ashley, once they get it, they will call me with next steps. NO TBD. While on the phone, I asked about the couch splitting, was told if it splits at the seam, it's call seam separation, not covered by the warranty. read more

We have been trying to replace a faulty chaise on our sectional since June (and yes, we did purchase their "care" insurance for an additional cost). When we specifically asked if unit would fit within the size constraints of our elevator the answer was "yes, it comes in 2 pieces and will be assembled on site after delivery". After 3 missed ship dates with no call backs with updates and 2 months waiting for delivery, our delivery date finally came and delivery team arrived only to drive away without coming to our door. My wife and I purchased a Tempur-Pedic $4,700.00 mattress in Jan. 2019. We were promised free mattress covers but were charged $118.00 for them. We were told that the sales tax of $386.00 would be refunded to us if we obtained letters from our physicians stating that the motorized bases were necessary for our breathing issues (we're in our 80's). We immediately provided the store with letters from our doctors. After many phone calls and visits to the stores we were continually assured that our account would be adjusted. Very disappointed in the company who claims to stand behind their products. Purchased a leather sofa and love seat with power recliners in 2011. One recliner motor went out about a year later and we were told there wasn't anything that could be done. Now the couch is peeling and flaking in several places. Completely unacceptable for furniture that barely gets used in a second home. Corporate won't even consider a claim since it is over 5 years old. Weeks of technicians and new cushions didn't help and we eventually had to return it - with a 25% restocking fee which turns out to be out of the industry norm. The WORST customer service ever! I am not quite sure the tactic in delivering inadequate parts does for them but this is the 4th time in two months they tried to bring my bed. When I called to give them the correct delivery address they proceeded to the wrong address anyway and delivered the parts. They were supposed to assemble the bed and now it sits in parts.
