If I could give them no stars I would. So basically the service was OK, it only took 2 hours to get a credit approval. After that it took a month to receive the mattress and box spring. And they told me it would take another month to receive a few more things but wouldn't receive all of it. I asked the lady to just ship everything at once. A month passes and then I got a few more things. And on delivery two of the things were broken. So those things had to be ordered. Finally received the rest a week later and upon opening the things to assemble the bed frame, the bed rails and foot of the bed frame was broke. I called and they told me they couldn't send me new ones, that I had to make an appointment to have a guy come out and fix it. Needless to say im frustrated. Never again will I buy from Ashley furniture. I hope some one reads this before they buy from them and I save them from a bad decision. read more

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I shopped every furniture store in town to find the perfect leather sectional. I narrowed it down to two; one at Ashley and one at Furniture Row. When I went back to Ashley to look at theirs again, a different salesman tried to poach me. I told him that I had been working with another salesman in their store and that he had done nothing wrong so I didn't want to switch. He still tried to pressure me, telling me that I had the right to choose who I wanted to buy from and that it would be okay for me to switch to him. I was so uncomfortable I told my original salesman and the manager. The manager didn't seem to care. Finally (still feeling uncomfortable) I asked the manager if they could offer a better price on the set I was looking at and told him the price of the one I was considering at Furniture Row. He said they couldn't even come close. I went back to Furniture Row and when I walked in, the sales clerk told me that my husband just called to see how much I was planning to spend in their store. (My husband was at work and he would NEVER do such a thing) It was Ashley Furniture lying about who they were to see if I was telling the truth about the price of the sectional I was going to buy. My husband and I went into Ashley Furniture Labor Day weekend. September 2nd to be exact. After looking around we found a bed frame/headboard we really liked. We were told by our sales person that it could be delivered the next week because they had stock of all the floor items. So we start the buying process when we are told that it's missing a piece and we'll have to wait for it to be delivered. He gave us a delivery date of October 24th, but were told repeatedly that it would not take that long at all. We were assured it would only be something like 2 weeks to get it. So the week before the 24th arrives, and no bed. We get an email saying it's been delayed till the 26th. We call asking why, and of course they had no reason as to why. Yesterday the 24th, we called to see what time our bed would be delivered on the 26th and we were told they couldn't give us a time, just that they would call a half hour before. Today is the 25th, and we just received ANOTHER email telling us the product wont be delivered till the 29th!!! We called asking why it has been delayed again, and of course we get NO answers, and not even an apology that we spent $560, in cash, on a bed frame almost 2 months ago, and have yet to receive it. You'd think they'd be going out of their way to make things right, but there doesn't seem to be any of that going on here. If my delivery date gets pushed past the 29th, I will never shop here again, and I will make sure none of my family or friends do either. I would give zero stars if I could. I ordered a couch from them more than a month ago. I was told today it would be another week. Look I have company coming. I have a place with no couch. They have assured me it is on the way. Honestly I do not know how they are in business. I have asked for my money back so I can get a couch I want now. Sales manager Pete quoted us a low price for a sectional set. The problem is, he deleted an important part of our order to get to a low enough price to be competitive. I called him on the day of delivery to tell him that the piece was missing and that is when we found out about what he had done. He wouldn't admit to his mistake, instead he pointed the finger at my wife and I. I called the GM and she agreed with me that it was wrong and she will work to get the piece for me at no charge, but I guess after crunching numbers she realized it was too much to lose, so she offered me 30% discount. I would not have bought the sectionals at the price that would've included the deleted piece, and I believe the Sales manager knew that. In addition, the sales manager ordered a piece of the sectional with a power recliner, which we did not want. Also, my chaise and zero wall recliner were reversed. He also did not want to take blame for that, instead he blamed his warehouse because he swore up and down the way it was ordered was right. Turns out the problem with the reversed items was due to his lack of knowledge, yes he was wrong again. This is not all that was done to us on this order, but I'm sure my point is made. Zero customer service, zero professionalism, zero accountability for mistakes made. If anybody wants to know the rest of my nightmare, feel free to reply to my message. Ashley Furniture has the most ineffective delivery system I've ever seen. You might get a good price, but you HAVE to pay for delivery; there's no option to pick it up even if you are buying a floor item. Delivery schedules are meaningless, as they change them at their whim. When you call to say the new schedule isn't going to work, expect to spend an hour on the phone. Then your delivery is cancelled, and someone will call to reschedule. Then the loop starts again. They found my last nerve this morning. read more

I'm so disappointed with my experience. My husband and I decided to replace some old inherited furniture with a brand new sofa and loveseat. We shopped around town and found a set that we loved at Ashley furniture around April 20th! We paid cash and were told to expect delivery May 3rd. Excitedly we posted our old stuff online and had people ready to pick it up. The 3rd was right around the corner, so I pulled out the invoice to check for a delivery time, it showed a delivery date of 5/24. I was bummed because that would leave us without furniture for three weeks! We stuffed our disappointment and waited. the 24th came and they only brought the loveseat. When we called we were told that the sofa wasn't loaded on the truck. Then we were told that we had to wait another three weeks! Today was supposed to be the delivery date and guess what wasn't loaded on the truck?? I'm really upset by this and will be taking the loveseat back. If I could give negative amount of starts I would. I went to Ashley months ago. Ordered sofas from their online kiosk and waited a long time before I received couches that were not what I was told they'd be like. While at Ashley's they told me I had 14 days if I wasn't satisfied with my purchase. Turns out they switched companies and I had to go through a ridiculous amount of hoops to get them to exchange the sofas although I was promised good service and an easy exchange when I first purchased them. Had to keep the sofas I didn't want wrapped up in my living room for many weeks, meanwhile I have no sofas of my own to sit on. It's been months since I've had sofas due to their ridiculously long shipping period. I finally got the ones I actually wanted today. Funny thing is they scheduled for my new sofas to be delivered two weeks ago, and had to reschedule due to being back ordered. Adding even more time to the months of waiting I already had to do. For what? For them to be damaged upon arrival. OF COURSE the sofas are DAMAGED. Now I will have to wait YET AGAIN to get them repaired or exchanged if they don't make it impossible for me to do once again. I'm already sensing that this process is going to be difficult AGAIN and it is at no fault of my own! Service is terrible, only a few reasonable employees. They take forever to answer the phone, that's if they answer it at all. Shipping is ridiculous, never waited so long for furniture anywhere else. They have many employees at the store, hardly any customers, and yet they cannot answer a simple phone call. I wouldn't even recommend this store to my worst enemy. This store is the biggest waste of time and money. Terrible customer service and I will make sure to spread the word. I was waiting to write this review in the hopes of hearing back from the owner. I contacted Ashley Furniture HR department and they sent me an email saying I would be contacted by the Owner of the Richland, WA store. It has only been 72 hours but I feel that is ample time for a reply. Lisa the sales rep is absolutely amazing but Michael the manager is not. I read the reviews online before coming down to the store and was hoping I would have a better experience than others. Should have just trusted from every other review online. Michael is extremely rude and arrogant. He lacks customer service and respect for others. The fact that Ashley Furniture would hire a man who treats people the way he does is concerning for our community. This is a locally owned store who can't manager over a 2.5 star review online whether it be google, yelp, or Facebook. The people in the community are speaking up very clearly. I am not saying get rid of the people who work at Ashley Furniture but more so implement a training process and a goal for customer satisfaction because clearly they are not achieving it at this point. read more

The store here in Kennewick is a disappointment! We were wanting to purchase several new pieces of furniture and after reading the bad reviews, I got concerned and went in and spoke with Ben our salesman which then directed me to their NEW manager, Danielle. They both reassured me that the bad reviews were from long ago and new management would make a difference. Also promised we would be taken care of by them, personally!! After much debate and looking for a dining table we liked, we gave in and bought it from Ashley! We had to wait for delivery for a few weeks, when it showed up most of the chairs sat uneven and wobbled and once we took the extra leaf out we couldn't get it back in and we had to work and work to get it back in! I called and Ben told me they couldn't really help me I had to call the customer care line. Long story short, they sent out a craftsman to fix the chairs and he told me it was my floor, and so I called again and customer care sent me a new table and chairs and same problem with both the table and chairs, so I refused delivery ! They did it again and same problem!! I asked for my money back and they told me NO WAY!! So I finally just kept the table and chairs and will never buy from this store again. I'm so disappointed in our Kennewick Ashley's store and their corporate office. I have never been treated so disrespectfully from a business. I was told I was receiving my order 3 different times. The first 2 times they forgot to submit my order!! They promised me FREE delivery and 200.00 off my purchase. Well the gal I was dealing with. Didn't talk to her manager about the FREE delivery and 200.00 off my purchase. So they refused to give me the 200.00 off. Which they need to eat that 200.00 considering I was promised that! I finally receive my bedroom set and it's missing a right leg. We couldn't put our bed together. It came with 2 left legs. When I talked to the corporate office she was rude! I repeated what she had just said to me to make sure I understood her. She replied in a condescending attitude "that's what I just said"! Here's the part that put me over the edge. When the delivery guys brought my furniture I was working and my daughter was here with them. When we finally got the leg to put our bed together. My husband noticed a rip in our box spring. He immediately called the corporate office, and they said "I'm not sure if they'll accept your return". How do they know you didn't damage it? Good God are you kidding me? I just want to share my experience with Ashley Furniture in Richland Wa so that everyone is aware before selecting this store for any furniture purchases. I went in on Black Friday and ordered two couches and a king size mattress to be delivered to my sister's house and then to mine. I asked the sales manager if this was possible or if i would need to pay an additional delivery fee he advised that "they get those requests all the time and it would not be any trouble at all" I called yesterday to confirm my delivery for today at noon and they said they would not be able to deliver to two addresses without an additional delivery fee, they said someone would call me in 20mins to confirm . That was at 10:12am , after waiting an hour I tried calling back , waited for 30mins and then the line would just hang up. I tried all literally all day to reach a person that could help and the line would keep dropping after having me hold for 30minutes each time. I tried all the options they had , but each time the same thing would happen. Finally at 3:45pm a person, a live human was at the other end of the phone letting me know that they were only delivering to one of the residences on the list. I get up the next day rent a uhaul , go to the dump, throw out my old couch (too far gone to be saved ) and wait for my delivery. At 1pm i called to double check on the status because noon had come and gone . I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt again no call with updates. I asked what the ETA would be and they said the driver was running behind and would not be there until 3pm. Welp that time came and went again and no phone call so I called back and was advised that they would call me back in 20mins with an ETA no call . I called every 30mins with the same results each time . It is now 6:30pm an no furniture I call once last time very frustrated, the lady puts me on hold for 15 mins comes back and lets me know that my delivery had been cancelled due to complications!! I am beyond myself right now! I've literally wasted my only day off to wait on these people for hours back and forth on the phone to be told that they are not coming. I have since a cancelled my $2100 order and will NEVER EVER so much as look in that stores direction again ! Please take note that Ashley Furniture could care less about their customers, their promise, and their service! I would highly advise that you go anywhere but there for furniture!! read more

They are good at selling their merchandise but horrible at taking care of you once the furniture is delivered. I moved and needed their help to reassemble my bed but they only assemble. And when they assembled it they did a bad job. It wasn't assembled right. I'm furious right now. All they said was I'm sorry there isn't anything we can do. I told them I didn't mind paying a fee but they just said they can't do that. I'm stuck. I don't know how to get my bed to be functional. Currently I'm sleeping on the mattress on the floor. I have never been so disappointed with a furniture company, when we bought our couch in July it came delivered with a hole. It took 6 months for them to get the replacement part to us, this was after I had called the store, the replacement office etc. they all gave me the run around. The only way I got help was by going into the store and speaking with the manager who was not sympathetic at all about my situation and made me feel more like I was an Inconvenience to her. When the placement part finally came I then had to call and schedule a technician to come out and install which took another week. Our couch is already looking well worn in, and the fabric is so thin that by normal use we already have another whole in it, we have only had our couch now for 6 months. I would never recommend this store, they have extremely cheap over priced furniture and if something goes wrong, good luck getting help. read more

I went back in today. Different people make all the difference! I ask to speak with a manager this time. Leonel Chacon was happy to lead me and very helpful. The manager Dustin Forbes, listened to my request and ask me to show him which recliner I wanted. He said he would sell it to me if he could. I told him I would take either of two if he could sell one. He ended up letting me buy the floor model of my first choice! Then Leonel showed me a cup holder stand that works perfectly with this very wide recliner. So I bought that too. My husband and I are both disabled and cannot sit on the floor and wait for a chair to be shipped. I do have to wait for the stand, but that is fine. Always ask for a manager! I am so glad I did. Another big bonus is that they were having a 20% off sale today and I got 20% off of the chair and cup holder stand. Now I am a very happy customer. Thanks, Dustin and Leonel!! read more

I am not sure where to start. On August 9, my wife and I went in and ordered new bedroom furniture and a dining room table and chairs from this location with a scheduled delivery date of September 19, 2015. When speaking with our salesperson, he had explained to us that whatever furniture we were replacing, the delivery drivers would haul the old away. The day before the delivery, my wife received a phone call stating that the table and bench were not in and that only the bedroom set and the 5 dining room chairs were in to be delivered. They asked if we wanted them to deliver the chairs without the table. They also asked my wife if she wanted to come to the store and pick a different table and chairs out. Really??? So the delivery drivers showed up the next day and when I showed them where the bedroom furniture was to go and I showed the one small, very light dresser that I wanted to have them dispose of, since we kept and had already moved all the older stuff out of our room, the driver told me that they don't have room for the dresser and that the salespeople will just tell us anything to get us to buy. I called our salesperson and explained to him our situation and in the meantime the delivery driver must have had a change of heart. He told me that his boss said that they would not take the dresser back but he would find a place to donate it too. What was upsetting was that upon unloading a headboard, dresser, TV stand, 2 nightstands, and 2 more pieces of furniture into our bedroom, the truck was near empty. NO room for ours?? Fast forward to October 7th, which the new delivery date was October 8th and no phone call from anyone. So I called the store and asked when they would be delivering our table, chairs, and bench the next day so my wife could move her schedule around to accommodate them, they proceed to tell me that the table would not be in until the 29th of October, the bench would not be in until January 2nd, and the chairs that they once had in stock would not be in until the 29th now. I asked them to check on this and call me back and let me know what's up. After several hours, I had not received any calls. So since I happen to be staying in the Tri-Cities that night, I went by the store to speak to a Manager in person. Upon arrival, I ended up speaking to the Manager on duty, who happens to be filling in for the Management team that is in Texas for training. She assured me she would get to the bottom of this and even though she was off the next day, she would call me back to fill me in. She even told me the last 4 numbers of her cell phone since it would be a strange number coming up on my phone. My first thought is that I finally found someone who cares and was on my side. Well, the next day came, along with 2 others and still no call. When I just got off the phone, the Manager on duty that I spoke with was back in Burlington, her home store and the current management team is back. The same young lady that I had talked to earlier in the week told me she would call the person I spoke to and get back to me. I then called the Burlington store to speak to the person who I thought had my back and was told that she was with a client and would call me back in 15 minutes. Well, it has now been nearly an hour and still no call. My wife and I still want our table and chairs and after reading the many other reviews on people that have the same problems as we are having feel that Ashley Furniture needs to do something to make this right. When I pulled our original receipt out, I see we were billed $220 for delivery. I ask that someone who can provide good, honest, and accurate results get in touch with me. My apologies for dragging this on and on but I truly am afraid to post this as I might not ever get the table/chairs/bench that we ordered. I have purposely withheld the names of all the people involved as I feel this is a much larger problem than just a salesperson with poor communication skills. It is a corporate problem. UPDATE: I had mentioned that I was awaiting a call back from the manager that I had originally spoke to and she finally did call me back. The same friendly person I spoke to that night was again friendly and apologetic. She said that she had an office manager watching over my order and that the scheduled delivery is now October 31st. The product is scheduled to be in the warehouse on the 29th. If anyone from Ashley reads this, I would still like someone to contact me to discuss my situation and the $220 dollar delivery fee that I paid for. Thanks. read more

If you are thinking of buying furniture from here DON'T DO IT!!! You will be sorry, as am I. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I should have turned around and walked out when they would not match their online price (yet two of the online items I wanted couldn't be purchased online-had to be ordered in the store... ??) But I had company coming and needed to furnish my guest bedroom/office, and I liked the furniture well enough, so I ignored the red flags and ordered a dresser, nightstand, desk and swivel chair. This was back in July. Again, I was surprised at the $150.00 delivery fee (most furniture stores offer free delivery and they wouldn't let me pick it up from the store), and disappointed that the desk was back ordered and wouldn't be delivered until September 9th. So delivery of the dresser, nightstand and swivel chair was set for July 29 between 8 and 11 am. I took the morning off to accept delivery, and received only the dresser and night stand. No one knew what happened to the chair- it went MIA. So another delivery date was scheduled for the chair, this time a Saturday, because I couldn't take another half day off from work to wait around for a chair. I was told it would be between 1 and 4 this time. So I waited around all afternoon and when no one had shown up by 3:30 I called "Customer care" and they said "the chair was not going to be delivered today, that there was some sort of issue with it, and some one was supposed to have called me and told me". Really?? Wow. I paid $150 for this??? When I tried to contact the manager of the Richland, WA store where I bought the furniture, I was blocked by the receptionist and not even allowed to speak to the manager. The receptionist assured me that both the chair and desk would be delivered Friday, September 2nd, between 1 and 4 pm. Which is today. You guessed it-no chair or desk today. At least they called to tell me this time... sort of. They sent a message directly to my voicemail saying the desk was damaged and wouldn't be delivered so it would have to be rescheduled. Again. Do yourself a favor and buy your furniture elsewhere. You've been warned. read more

Still waiting for our chairs . . . When we purchased/ordered our chairs, we were told by our salesperson that they would be delivered today, Feb. 11, 2015. This morning, I placed 2 separate calls to the warehouse, one hour apart to find out when the chairs would be delivered. By noon, I still had not heard back, so I called the main floor number. The person who answered was really rude and said, "Well, the sales person never schedules delivery. This is clearly stated on your receipt." At this time, I saw that the "Delivery Date" was actually the date that the items would be delivered to the store and not my house. **This should be made clear at the time of sale!!** No - this was not mentioned at all. I actually took today off so that I could be here for the delivery of our chairs!!! I have **still** not heard from the warehouse!! God only knows when our chairs will be delivered. Would that we had found chairs with the kind of back support that I need, I would have purchased them here in Yakima, far closer to home, where I have never been misled about a delivery date. read more
