We recently received new furniture from Ashley Furniture in Rohnert Park, CA. We worked with Raj and Q. When we asked if there were any advantages to ordering our furniture online, Q told us there are no advantages in pricing. Q also said that all sales are final at Ashley furniture. This is not entirely true. All sales are not final if you purchase your furniture from Ashley online. We unfortunately were unhappy with our purchase for personal reasons. If we had purchased online we would have been afforded recourse in returning our purchase. This is mentioned by Ashley all over the internet. I cannot put into words how incompetent the sales people are in this store. The sales person (Donovan) lied to me about the 3-day trial money-back guarantee on a mattress. After paying and applying for the 0% financing, I read the fine print on the contract before signing and spotted that there was actually no refunds or exchanges on mattresses. He got his manager who initiated the refund. What the manager did not mention is that the financing would still be opened. Luckily I have credit monitoring and got alerted that 3 days later a new account was posted to my credit report. When I called Ashley Furniture, they said there was nothing they could do. I had the worst experience with Ashley Furniture. Apparently there's a no return policy in place and supposedly there are signs that state that. I saw no signs and no one verbally informed me of it. When part of my furniture arrived I decided the ottoman was way too big for our smallish living room. I called immediately after it arrived and asked them to take it back when they deliver the rest of the furniture. They were going to come in another week so I thought it would be simple. There is no bending or compromise in any way. Very unreasonable and they just stated company policy over and over. I canceled the couch and will never go back. Extremely bad experience. BUYER BEWARE - WOOD-BORING PESTS! I purchased 2 nightstands from Ashley Furniture about 1 year ago. Just barely over a year after purchasing them, I was noticing saw dust inside of both cabinets. I cleared everything out to find tiny beetles in the saw dust and access holes where they came out of. I hired an exterminator who educated me that they were powderpost beetles. They noted that these bugs often occur in the manufacturing process when wood is not dried out properly. The exterminator encouraged me to throw them away and reach out to the manufacturer. I reached out to Ashley furniture and let them know and requested a refund since this was an issue with their manufacturing process. They said that because it was a a little over a year, it was outside their warranty and there was nothing they could do. I shared with them that wood-boring pests (powderpost beetles) in their products is something I would hope they make exceptions for, especially given I was barely out of warranty. I was ignored from this point on. I am beyond disappointed in the customer support I received and in Ashley furnitures willingness to stand behind a mistake in their products. We went looking for a new couch and we're decently satisfied with service. the employees were nice, though it seems like the Labor Day sale was on its "last day" each time we visited. The price of the item we got was reasonable, and we were told the delivery would be 2-3 weeks out. We confirmed with the deliverers TWICE for the delivery today for its delivery. I took time off work to be available for delivery, and 4 hours in, I am being told by support it will be another 6 days :( I'm extremely frustrated with the delivery falling through as we had plans this weekend with friends and will be without our couch. Purchased a bedroom set on May 21, 2021 from Gabriel Bartolozzi. I spent almost $5000 including $310 for a delivery charge. Gabriel told me 5-8 weeks. I have yet to receive my order. I called 2 weeks ago and was told July 29th and that someone would call me to give me a timeframe. July 29th came and went and still no call. I will be calling and cancelling my order and will not be back. Last time I purchased from Ashley, I bought my son a bedroom set. They delivered the wrong set. Very disappointing. I should have known better than to go back, but unfortunately the store is convenient to my home. UPDATE: I called the local Rohnert Park location, 707-586-1649. After holding for 12 minutes, the Corp office answered. I asked to speak to a manager, she said this is the Corp office, what is your order number or number associated with your order. I gave it to her. "Oh it looks like your order won't be ready until after Nov 12th. (No apology). I said really??? I ordered on May 21st and was told 5-8 weeks, I haven't even heard from anyone with an update. I said "I'm very disappointed and tempted to cancel". Her response, "OH you want to cancel, ok your order is cancelled". Not one apology. I just hung up. I wish I would have caught her name. It has been one disappointment after another. This place treats you well to make the sale, then they can't get anything right and place the burden on the customer to pay for their errors. We purchased an entertainment center in February 2021. It took 6-8 weeks to deliver, due to the pandemic. It took multiple calls because they had the delivery date wrong. I took off a day from work and they didn't show up. They had another date when we were unavailable. But I worked with them and we waited. When they delivered it, they assembled it and left it there damaged. Only my 16 YO son was available at the time and he didn't inspect it. One shelf only had 3 supports and two places where the particle board shelving was busted through. Another shelf had similar damage to the particle board. Since it's unusable due to damage it's in the middle of my living room, which isn't very big. I scheduled repairs. I guy came out. I'd already sent them pictures and a description. He came out and took pictures and left. After a number of calls and complaints, I was scheduled for another repair session. I told them clearly that I was not taking off more time from work to deal with their errors. I set the appointment for Saturday, 6/5/21. Today, I got a message that the repair person will be at my house between 9AM and noon 6/3. No one will f'ing be there!! I called them and they told me that scheduled it for 6/3 all along. I told them they had it wrong all along then. They then wanted to reschedule for another 2 weeks later, when we'll be out of state. At this time, I told them they need to come get their garbage and refund me. I'm not waiting another month for possible repairs to happen or not. I'm not going to store their garbage any longer. They said someone will likely call in 24-48 hours. I told them they have til Saturday or their garbage will be on the street. I should have told them I'm starting to charge for storage!! I will never do business with them again. All the furniture we purchased from them is cheap construction. It was a mistake to buy anything from them. I ordered a couch through Ashley Furniture on-line And had a pretty bad experience so I canceled my order and went to the in-person store Rohnert park. I was greeted and helped by Jolene. She was very understanding and helpful. I read negative reviews about delivery date follow-through, so I can't review on that since I just left the store, but as far as customer service goes, Jolene was great. Overall rating might change based off whether or not they are able to follow-through with the delivery date, if so I will update then. Update: couches came on time! One was even early! read more

Wow, what a horrible experience from both inside and customer service. Stay away. We went to purchase a new kitchen table with service for them to build the table as well. When they came to build the table the company that Ashley uses said that it was missing two legs. So they sent out a replacement and again the two legs were not the right piece. The Rohnert Park location said that only the online could issue a refund. Why? After many, many failed attempts to contact someone, anyone at the customer service department only to find out that they never will return a voice mail. This is now a month later, yes that long to get through because of incompetence on all levels. Ashley home store said they would only give us a replacement for the same table. Not even store credit. No why would we want the same table that is causing some much trouble. Now we have to take a chance again for Some one to come out and put the table together hoping they don't make the same mistake. I visited this store on Feb 10, 2023 and purchased a bed frame. My bed frame was delivered on Feb 17, 2023 and the corners of the headboard were damaged. That day I immediately called Ashley and complained. I ended up filing a damaged claim report and enclosed pictures as they requested. Ashley sent a technician on Feb 25 who attempted to repair the corners of the headboard. He was unsuccessful and I reached out to customer service once again to voice my dissatisfaction. Customer service emailed me on March 1, 2023 and requested pictures of what the technician did. I immediately took several pictures and emailed that same day. I emailed customer service on March 4 for a status. no response. I emailed again on March 7, 2023 for a status, still no response. Finally on March 22, 2023 (after 21 days) customer service emailed and requested pictures of what the technician did AGAIN. Keep in mind during this entire month of March I have chatted online with a variety of customer service reps and spoken to several ones on the phone. I have been told that "I need to be patient". I have been told that I can't speak to a supervisor because they are busy. I have been told that I will get a response within 24-48 hours. I have called the store directly and still waiting to hear from a manager. What do I need to get this resolved? It's been 34 days since the delivery of my bedframe or Ashley's unit of time, it's been 816 hours. read more

We purchased a new couch and a couple of other new furniture items from Ashley. We used there in store credit card which is partnered with My Synchrony Bank. Do not use there credit card. The interest rates are the highest I have ever seen before. To top it all off you will be charged a $500 fee if you do not pay off the money you owe in time. None of this was made aware to me when I made my purchase as well. I will never be buying a single item from Ashley ever again. I will take my money to Costco or somewhere else. read more

Irene assisted me in picking out a power recliner. I gave her a short list of the features I was looking for. Not everything in the online web site is at the store and not everything in the store was online. Irene was patient with me as I went back and forth deciding on which of the final 2 recliners I would buy. I settled on a Warnerton Power Recliner. Irene checked the delivery schedule and she was able to schedule a 3 day delivery to Healdsburg. I give Irene 5 stars for the sales experience. The delivery and setup experience was quite the opposite of the sales experience. 2 guys showed up. They unpacked the recliner in the parking lot. When they brought the recliner and set it up, it was like they were racing to get it done. I pointed out where the recliner should be placed. The recliner came in 2 pieces (the base and the back). The tall delivery guy was putting the back on the base and I said "hey, those 2 wires need to be connected". He completely ignored me, no answer like he was deaf. Sure enough, he snapped the back into place and the other guy said the wires need to be connected. The wires provide power to the headrest. They struggled for a bit but couldn't get the wires connected because they should have been connected before the back was installed on to the base. The tall guy almost took out my big screen TV as he backed up and struggled to get the back off the base. I yelled at him that his butt was right against my big screen TV and again, he didn't respond or care. There was plenty of room to assemble it but they were in a hurry and careless. Their rush actually slowed them down because of the mistake. Then the shorter guy took a picture and they both started to leave. No "is everything ok" or "where would you like the recliner". They left it a few feet away from the wall almost in the middle of the room. I said "don't leave yet. I need to physically inspect the recliner and also sit in it to check the controls, power reclining reclining, and power headrest". After they left, I had to move the heavy power recliner to where it was supposed to be. The delivery and setup experience was one of the worse I've ever experienced. 5 stars for the sales experience and 1 star for the delivery and setup. So hence the combined rating of 2 stars. The manager at that store should follow up with the manager of the delivery service but I will bet that it will be ignored. read more

Although the staff in store can be pushy, as most sales people are, they are overall helpful. Unfortunately, their corporate office & delivery people are horrible. I placed an order for artwork and sconces over 2.5 months ago. They rescheduled my delivery 4 times and I still do not have my items. I heard a variety of reasons from "your item is back ordered" to "it didn't get on the right truck" to "the delivery people left before loading this portion of your order". All in all I just got nothing but poor communication and LIES. That's all I kept getting. I contacted the store via phone and waited 3 times on hold for over 15 minutes to chat with an actual person. Finally, today, I demanded to speak to he manager and cancelled my order. I have also contacted my banking institution to let them know that this charge is fraudulent as Ashley never had any intention to deliver the items in the timeline I agreed to. Horrible experience. Walked in and it immediately felt like a used car lot. A salesperson swarmed on us but was unhelpful and kept trying all the salesman tactics under his belt without actually being able to answer our questions or provide quality help. The products were ok, seemingly acceptable for their price range. They just didn't have quite what we were looking for which is ok. I read the reviews but since I had a good experience with Ashley's back in 2017 I thought that I would be ok. Boy was I wrong. I will never buy furniture from Ashley's for several reasons: Price: I knew what I wanted when I went to the showroom but I wanted to see it in person. I didn't find the items I wanted but I did find a new dresser and desk. The price in the showroom versus the price online was vastly different. When I inquired about it, the salesperson I was dealing with made a comment about his commission while walking away to talk to the manager about honoring the price online. They honored their price and if I hadn't checked online I would've paid twice as much. Delivery service: when I made my purchase in 6/15/20, the salesperson told me that it would be delivered on 7/7/20. Great! I thought that was fast based on COVID-19 so I was pleasantly surprised. I was told verbally and in writing that I would be getting a call two days before the delivery date to confirm that I would be home. I didn't get a call or text so I called their customer service on 7/6/20 to confirm. The rep I spoke to said that someone had called me 4 times the previous day and that because I hadn't answered it was rescheduled to 7/14/20. I told her that I hadn't gotten any calls and thought that maybe because of the holiday there was some type of issue. I got a text from the following Saturday asking to confirm delivery. I texted them right back and the text response was that I would get a call on Sunday. No call. I reached out again on Monday and the rep told me the same story. That they had reached out to me and I hadn't answered. I told her I got the text and that I could verify online with my cell carrier that I hadn't received any calls. She out me on hold and then came back and told me "well to be honest we canceled your delivery because we have one item that's not at the warehouse yet." She then told me that the desk was on back order and I wouldn't be able to get it until 7/28/20. Are you kidding me? So this whole time I was lied to. They didn't have the item. They lied about calling me. And now they didn't want to deliver they item they had on hand. She then told me she would call the delivery center and see if they could deliver it earlier. Never received a call back or email. Customer Service: After realizing that I was dealing with liars, I decided to cancel my order. I spoke to the sales manager and he said he would get back to me same day. I've been emailing him every day for a week and no response. I finally got my money back. Their online messaging service isn't any better either. I recommend Living Spaces. The prices online are what you pay in store. Delivery service was outstanding and better quality furniture. The recliner I bought from Ashley's 3 years ago is sagging a bit so I will be replacing it sooner than I thought. read more

I have fought for months to get a refund on a faulty piece of furniture I was told a technician had to come out first before anything could be done. I told them I really didn't want a stranger in my home due to COVID-19 and I am being careful with isolating and social distancing. Raj the Mgr stated that was the only way. So the technician shows up, no business card and a mask covering only his mouth. I asked him to please cover his nose and he stated he couldn't breath if he did so. After waiting two weeks and numerous phone calls itching has Ben resolved. I will be calling the Sonoma County Health Department, the BBB and will be submitting a claim in small claims court. While shopping in Ashley today I was helped by Patrick who was absolutely wonderful. He helped us get the best prices and deals they had to offer and was very friendly and knowledgable. When finalizing our purchase, Raj helped as well and once again, I felt they gave us the best bang for our buck. Unlike when you buy a car, I didn't feel pushed into anything I wasn't sure about and Patrick really helped us find the right items for us. We were able to pick the delivery date and I am very excited to get our new furniture. But the worst part about their couches that I found out too late is that the cushions do not have an inside liner. The cushions are straight stuffing so if you want to wash them you have to pull out all the stuffing one handful at a time put it in a trash bag wash it and then try to get the pillow back to its original shape after. Furniture is made with very cheap and thin plywood. Cracks and breaks easily just from sitting down. This review is not about the chair, but more the store practices. We bought a lovely chair from Mike, and so far happy with it. However, the shopping experience was interesting. We went on a Wednesday and saw the chair with a tag of $299 and a notation of "As Is". We called two days later on Friday and ordered the chair for pickup on Saturday. When we went to pay the Chair's tag now stated the price as $329. (It was a new tag as the "As Is" notation was missing). We feel this was very unethical, to change the price after we ordered, and within three days! This is the worst service in the entire world. DO NOT GO HERE. My wife and I ordered a living room set and a bed frame from them, and long story short there are levelers for our new tables that have been on back order for THREE MONTHS. I have had to email the manager of this branch OVER AND OVER just to get ANY sort of update. I have repeatedly asked for them to either discount my purchase/take back pieces that I cannot use/give me levelers off of a floor model etc. and she just said "Sorry, nothing I can do about it." When I was beyond frustrated I tried to reach out to their customer service, but they ignored me or routed me back to the manager. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE LEVELERS. It has honestly been the WORST shopping experience of my life, and I will NEVER buy anything from them again. It was so bad the driver recommended we not accept delivery, so that is what we did. Talked to Ashley, they were apologetic and said they'd redeliver and this time they'd give us some special status which involved inspecting the product before it left the warehouse. So, I guess that's not part of normal practice? Well, judging from what we received, no. So, our 3rd try. Scheduled a window for another week later. Now it's been over 3 weeks since we ordered the chairs to begin with. The morning they are supposed to be delivered we get a message that they apologize, but they don't have the product on hand. So they will have to reschedule for another week later. At that point we just gave up and cancelled the order and asked for a refund. But oh wait, one last indignity. They called us to facilitate the refund. And then put me on hold. In fact, I've written this entire review while on hold, it's been 12 minutes now and still going. And THEY called ME! Never again. I have to say I was impressed with my experience visiting the showroom but it all fell to pieces when I got home. I had gone in looking for a new couch. The girls I spoke with (Alex and Adri) were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. I did mention to them that I might need to amend my order when I got home because of size concerns with the couch I picked out. Not a problem. They gave me a card and told me to contact the store if I needed to make any updates. That's when the problems started. I ended up having to call a total of 5 times, spoke with two managers and three other Ashely representatives. My intention was only to swap out two pieces with one smaller piece. It took two weeks to get a refund and when all was said and done they had canceled my entire order (despite the fact that I painfully explained my request over and over to multiple people.) I think the most frustrating part of this experience (other than having my entire order canceled) was the complete lack of follow up by the managers. After explaining what I had wanted, and being promised a call back on numerous occasions, I had to continue to call. The only thing I received on the other end was confusion and a completely canceled order. Ultimately that cancelation was probably for the best. I completely lost my faith that I would have received what I wanted anyway. Unfortunately the poor handling of this situation has lost Ashely a customer for life. Worst experience I've ever had with a store! - Ordered our bed frame and mattress on September 10. We were told everything would be delivered on September 14. Got a call later that day that they made a mistake on our paperwork and the set would actually be delivered on September 21. - Got messages confirming our Sep 14 delivery date, which the store called a "trick". Our set did not come on Sep 14. - At this point, it was so close to our moving date that we asked for the stuff to be delivered to our new apartment on October 2. They said that was fine and we were good to go. - I got a call on Sep 28 that our mattress is on back order now, so our bed frame will actually be here on Oct 6 and the mattress delivery date was TBD. I confirmed that with a representative from the store. - Got a couple of voicemails that my order was coming on Oct 2 and that if I don't respond, it will be rescheduled. - I tried calling several times and couldn't get through to anyone. I finally had to go to the store in person and they gave excuses.
