I have been on the hunt for a new sectional for almost a year and finally made my way to Ashley's. When I walked in there were at least 4-5 employees standing at the front, unfortunately no one spoke to us or even looked our way. I wanted to leave, but there was a sectional right in front that caught our eye. While trying it out after a few minutes a gentleman named Sam came over very vibrant and bubbly letting us know if we needed anything to let him know. At this point we continued walking around and tryied a large variety of couches. Every once and a while Sam would check in on us, but he never was overbearing or pushy about it. Once we narrowed it down Sam appeared and we went over our options. He was very detailed explaining the payment options, warranties and deliveries times. Ultimately, I did not feel welcomed at all when walking in, but if it wasn't for Sam I would have left instantly. He made us feel like we mattered regardless what people may have thought, as our money mattered just like anyone elses. Sam was a great salesman and I am glad I was finally able to find a couch for my new home. He has even continued to follow up with us weekly on updates on when our couch will be delivered. I give the store a 1/5, but Sam gets all 5 's! read more

We purchased a sectional sofa about 8 months ago. After about 3 months the cushions on the lounger were sinking in & very uncomfortable to sit on. We are so disappointed in the quality of the foam. The sofa itself is nice like the fabric & color. Why can't you put quality foam in & just charge more. The sectional was not usable anymore. We finally decided to go & spend the money at an upholstery shop to get the foam replaced. For 2 lounger cushions it was $500.00. So happy with the finished product, but seriously this should not be the case on an almost brand new sectional. Furniture is a big purchase... do better. read more

We have bought a lot of furniture from Ashley but never again! We purchased 2 love seat leather recliners. One was a floor model and waited on the other one. Both had issues in connecting together but the repair person worked and fixed the problem. We Just noticed a few weeks ago that one arm had tape on it and was coming up! I was looking to buy a tempurpedic bed and called the store to be sure they had what I was looking for. The manager, Jay, took my call and told me to ask for him when I arrive at the store. That's exactly what I did. Upon meeting Jay, he was very nice and bubbly. He came off as super accommodating. I've now come to the understand that this was just a façade to acquire a sale. Jay sold me a Nectar bed and a loveseat. I was told it would take approximately two weeks for the furniture to arrive to my home. Two weeks went by and I called to check on the delivery. Jay told me that the mattress came in damaged and that he had to order a new one. He said he was unsure of how long It would take for the new one to arrive. I was offered a loaner mattress in the meantime, and this would be delivered with the loveseat. These items arrive in week three. After they were delivered and set up, I noticed the love seat was damaged. I sent a text with pictures to Jay. After trying to joke about the issue, Jay agreed to order a new chair. Why the chair wasn't checked for damages alongside the mattress that was found to be damaged? This is the question I have. After patiently waiting for five weeks, I received a call from that my ordered bed was ready to be delivered. I asked if the new chair would be delivered with it and I was told that there was no order for a new chair shown. I called the store to speak with Jay about this and was told he was not working and that my information would be left on his desk to be addressed first thing in the morning. I ended up calling Jay the next day and told him not to worry about the loveseat; that I wanted them to pick up the damaged loveseat and to refund me my money. At this point, nice and bubbly Jay has turned nonchalant and unphased by my frustration. Finally, in week six, my bed is being delivered. I asked the delivery team if they were taking the loveseat. I was told that they were to only deliver the ordered bed and take the loaner mattress. I called the store to ask Jay about picking up the damaged loveseat, I was told that Jay was busy and that he said he would call me back. Jay did not call me back, instead he randomly sent two men to pick up the loveseat. I'm not home at the time and through my video doorbell, I asked the two men how can I help them. They informed me that they were sent to pick up the loveseat. No one called me to confirm any of this, not even Jay, whom I was told would call me back. I'm so disappointed with the service that I have received at this business. The fact that the store manager was my salesman, and the main person of contact, makes this even more disappointing. I'll never patronize this business again. Its not worth the hassle. I ordered a couch of comparable quality, for half the price, and it arrived in less than a week. If I wasn't so desperate and anxious for a good nights rest, I'd return to bed too. read more

Well, my sales lady, was great. But I would never step foot in there again. Saturday I came to check some furniture before brining my wife. I touched a bookshelf to make sure its study, and to my surprise 10-15 pounds granite book holder lunched on my foot. It should be on a bookshelf the way it was designed, surely not facing the outside, since it can only fall forward. I was shook, but unharmed. I brought the pieces to the desk, and they took the second holder away, saying it was too dangerous. Came back next day with wife. Already choose dining room set and a desk, and I did spot same exact holders, placed same way. This time, my 3 year old is running around. I brought them to the desk again, explaining why, and went back to sales lady to continue. They pulled her away, and wanted to throw me out for that. She said I'm spending money, so they "gave me another chance!" In my eyes, the entire thing was over once I moved the danger away, and I moved on. Stopped in today needing lots of furniture. Being out all day, I had to use the restroom immediately. Just inside the door Jonathan greeted us and told me yes, they do have a restroom. He continued to want to talk about the furniture we needed. I said ALL furniture, where is the bathroom?! My husband and I purchased the Foyland tv on 2/03/2024 not only did it take 2 months to be delivered but there was no hardware in the box to assemble the TV stand. I contact customer service and hardware was mailed out to us , which took 2 weeks to receive and when I open the package it was still missing some of the hardware. Now it's April 21st and I'm still waiting on hardware that I had to call about for the second time. This is very very aggravating. We purchased a sofa in Ashley furniture store about 6 months ago. First of all the sofa fabric got damaged on arrival. Arranged a technician to recover part of the sofa a few days later. Everything seems ok for 2 months, then the sofa where it got fixed started to fall apart. The staples where they hold the fabric start to fall off! and the sofa starts to sink in! This is an $800 Two-seater sofa! I contacted customer service. And I was told that Ashley furniture is locally owned, as I no longer live in their local service area. There is nothing they can do. So they suggested I find someone locally to fix it at my own cost, even though the sofa is still under 1-year manufacturer warranty! This is the first time we shop at Ashley Furniture. Customer service upon purchase was excellent. The furniture set-up and quality is awful. I ordered a bedroom set and when I asked the delivery men to place the dresser where I wanted it, they told me they measured and it was too big. I told them, I measured also and it will fit. The dresser fit and after my husband and I placed the mattress and box spring on the bed, the flimsy slats to hold the mattress snapped in half. I immediately phoned and one week later they phoned to set up delivery of the same flimsy pieces that were broken. 5 days after delivery while sweeping under the bed, a part of the wood chipped off the bed post. They have a sale right now of "up to 75%" off. We saw their advertising cars riding in town and clearly they led us here, but also misled us! Other people walking into the store were also under the impression everything was already 75% off. The reality is things are 25-75% off, but no discount is marked on anything! That annoys me. I don't want to be asking what the price is on random items especially if I'm just browsing without a purpose. They don't have kids beds, which is the only reason I walked in. She listened to our thoughts for our furniture and presented several options and price points for our consideration. Once we had selected the master Bedroom set and two twin beds for a secondary bedroom, we discussed mattress preferences and Isabella presented a series of options for both bed sizes. The final pricing and furniture/mattress quality was outstanding. We cannot say enough about the quality of the warm and considerate salesmanship exhibited by Isabella. Once again, Ashley Furniture of Savannah, GA exceeded my expectations. Found a loveseat on Ashley Furniture's website and called Hans M. who helped me order the item. The customer service was fantastic and the overall experience of shopping at Ashley was outstanding. Hans is honest and helpful in finding the right products. Lex was also great to work with as I decided to get a nightstand instead of a dresser and got back the difference I was owed. Since moving near Savannah, I have found a furniture store that I like a lot and will definitely be back. My experience started out great here. I was working with a fantastic gal, Izzy. She was so great personality wise, selling wise, just an all around great person. She sold me on a couch but I still wanted to think on it a bit so she gave me her information and was there for me to address all concerns over the next few days. So if you come in, I'm telling you see Izzy she gave me an incredible deal. So finally I'm ready to buy the couch. I come in and was greeted right away by Kevin spicer. I explained I already knew what I wanted and walked to the couch. He was trying to tell me the couch was $900 when I was quoted $625 with delivery included... so this was the first issue and then proceed to tell me I was basically a liar for saying that's the price Izzy gave me. Thankfully I had our texts between each other that he could see. What pissed me off was Ashley's website was selling the couch for $649 with a 10% off coupon as well going on.. so the store has a $250 mark up. But don't worry people Kevin can price match.. He was a total donkey hole during this entire process and had the audacity to tell me I probably took what he was saying defensively.. are you freaking kidding me?!? I was taking you calling me a liar defensively?!? Everything in my gut was telling me I should have come back and waited for Izzy but I needed the couch so I bought it. We came back in to actually buy the item we looked at before. Izzy wasn't working, and we approached the first person we saw when we walked in, "Spicer." We told him we had talked to Izzy a couple days before and told him what she had guaranteed us. He got really loud and basically looked at us like we were stupid for thinking something could be that low in price. I started getting the impression that he was going to get Izzy in trouble because he was being super obnoxious and down right rude. When we were getting ready to leave, he started apologizing because I think he caught on we were upset by the whole interaction, but he should never have needed to apologize in the first place. To make it even better, he said that my friend was just being defensive. It was super unprofessional and I'm surprised that he is even in a manager position. I only know he is in a manager position because he made it super clear that he was a manager by letting us know and saying that he was in charge of sales or pricing.... basically something super irrelevant because he works at a furniture store. I will never give this store my business unless I speak with Izzy directly. She is the one who deserves a manager position. Spicer needs to learn how to interact with customers properly. read more

Going to corporate is not even an option because this location is actually a franchise. I saved up for years to finally be able to afford to shop at Ashley's and so far my first experience with them has been the worst shopping experience of my life. We were promised it would be delivered by the first week of July at the latest and we can't even get anyone on the phone to get our bedroom furniture they're holding hostage. Our sales rep said he always stays in touch with his customers and keeps them informed and we have to drive to the store and hunt someone down to get any info and it's never from him. My husband and I moved to this area and went to many furniture stores through the region to furnish every room in our new home from scratch. It was an exciting endeavor, and at times intimidating. After 3 months of piecing rooms together, we went at Ashley HomeStore Savannah. We weren't ever opposed to this store, but it was not on our list as we had seen a bad review so it had adversely ( and wrongly) affected our opinion. When we entered the store however, were greeted immediately with happy upbeat staff, yet not pressured by anyone. We felt the presence of help but never felt we were being leaned on as we had been at other places we had been. We ended up buying 2 bedroom sets and two mattresses that day. Throughout that afternoon, we did receive excellent service from everyone. What was noteworthy, moreover, was that the the attention we received was consistent throughout every level of purchase and still remains. The manager came out that first day and introduced himself. He welcomed us to the area as we explained about our move from Florida. He made sure we were happy with our purchases and even had the kindness and patience to look at photos of our new house (So self indulgent of us, but giddy about our new home , he responded in a lovely complimentary way.) The salesperson was thorough and the staff at the purchase desk were extremely friendly as well. Each interaction was very impressive. Our delivery came as promised. The communication about the date was better than any of the other companies we had purchased furniture from in the prior months. The delivery team was stellar, extremely careful, very professional and as charming as anyone who has come into our home. When we had a problem a month later with a bedside stand (which was our mistake, a series of scratches done by a workman) we came back to the store 2 months later to ask what we could do to repair it. We were met by the same manager who remembered our purchase, remembered us, and immediately went to his desk to inquire how to advise us. He informed us that we had gotten a protection care package ( of which we had forgotten) and walked us through the steps to receive assistance in either repairing or replacing the furniture we had actually damaged ourselves. He handed us his card and told us to contact him if we needed further help in resolving the matter. We had ordered another piece from the store in the interim, an accent console, which we were informed 2 months after our purchase was discontinued. We were disappointed, and actually, disgruntled by the news. We had never considered this happening although the piece was significantly marked down so it was clearly at the end of its life there on their floor. The manager, again, greeted us with a welcome smile when we went to visit the store after receiving this notification, basically to complain. He immediately invited us into his office, listened patiently , and made inquiries as soon as we spoke of our dissatisfaction. He reached out to other stores to seek resolution. We left feeling very positive. This manager had now met with us on 3 separate occasions to give us assistance. We had ironically made larger purchases at other companies and were barely recognized nor remembered in follow up calls and visits to them. The contrast of the level of personalized service was compelling. We got a call from him first thing the following morning after our visit letting us know he did track down the discontinue console piece and it would be on the next delivery truck. Even if he hadn't found it, we wanted to share that this store, this team, this manager really do their best on every level to resolve all issues and give personalized professional service to their customers. Our only regret in the last several months of moving was not coming to Ashely HomeStore first to do our new home decorating. The furniture is beautiful, is of high quality, is of good value, and the people who make up the staff are extraordinary. read more

I am very dissatisfied with Ashley. We ordered furniture on June 4 and told them we needed it before July 4. It is almost September 1 and we still don't have our furniture. The expected delivery date is now September 18. No one has called us, we have to keep calling for information. We did receive the mattress and box springs, but that is all. We can't cancel because it will cost us a 20% cancellation fee. We have been buying furniture from Ashley for many years. Update- Ashley didn't call after I spoke with customer service as they requested. We canceled our order even they claim almost everything was in their warehouse. No phone calls. I would not recommend this place to work to anyone . The " lead " who's name is Holly is horrible . She shows favoritism and is spiteful . If you are not in good with her , she will treat you differently along with messing up your schedule . It's a very uncomfortable work setting . Do not shop here. Do not pay extra for any kind of warranty. All I can think following our experience is that the warranty is a scam, their salespeople are incompetent, and their customer service is insulting. We bought a mattress and box spring here (among other things), and we paid extra for the warranty. The salesperson sold us on the warranty saying we would get a replacement mattress as long as it wasn't stained. Ok. So we've taken very good care of it with a high-quality mattress cover. The mattress is terrible. It sags horribly in the middle, and my husband can't even sleep on it anymore. We have been sleeping in our guest room for quite some time. So we call and get someone to come out to look at the mattress. The guy says we will hear back in a week. Nothing. My husband calls and calls and gets the most frustrating run around ever. No one knows how to help! You sit on hold. They call him back hours later when he is at work in a meeting and can't answer. Call this number. No, call this number. No, call that first number you called. No, try these other 10 numbers. No, none of those number are right. No, we don't sell that brand anymore. No, we don't know what you're talking about. No, talk to this person. Terrible. So finally someone is able to give the results of the inspection. No stains. Sag is confirmed. But they're saying the mattress doesn't fall under the warranty because it is the box spring's fault. How? We bought the box spring that the store told us to buy. !?!? Why would they have us buy a box spring that is going to damage the mattress we are buying?! I would understand if we had gone rogue and bought some random box spring from online or from a garage sale. However, we bought the box spring they had shown with the mattress in their store. Do they even know what they're showing and recommending!? I honestly feel that Ashley knows they f'ed up because they offered to give us a discount on a new box spring. ???? Unacceptable. Insulting! We spend thousands of dollars in your store; we trust your recommendations and buy the box spring you tell us to get. That box spring apparently damages our huge purchase and now you want to offer a discount on a box spring!? Box springs are nothing. They should be replacing our mattress that they've caused us to damage. We bought the box spring they told us to buy, and we bought the warranty they told us to buy. I have never been so frustrated and exasperated by a store. Whatever you do please, please go elsewhere to buy your mattress or any of your furnishings! I purchased what I thought would measure out to be a queen size mattress they ended up delivering that equivalent to a full..After months of being pushed from one service agent to another nothing has been done about it and now I'm stuck paying a pretty penny for a mattress that isn't really a queen...Shame on such a large corporation..SHAME...I guess once they get your money nothing else matters...Never have I posted a negative review but the public should know the truth about such a greedy company and their lying sales people who are just out for their commission! read more
