Bought some furnitures from them and was promised by a female rep that they would offer free delivery and assembly. She is quite easy to work with and everything is fine until delivery. The 2 young delivery guys came, dropped off a box and left without assembly. I wasn't home at the time and forgot to tell my family that Ashley is supposed to assemble too. My family assembled furnitures ourselves. Yes from Ashley furniture. I am shocked that they just left. If I wanted to save money to assemble furnitures myself, I would have gone to IKEA. Everything was fine with Ashley until the last part of the transaction. Truly disappointed. read more

Although we loved the sales person who assisted us with purchasing a lot of our furniture for our newly remodeled house, the delevery is ultimately what caused the low score. We had (2) separate couches coming in for this particular delivery (living room and kids entertainment room) I was assisting delivery guy (1) in the living room while delivery guy (2) was putting in the second couch in the second room. They left and I continued to work as I was doing. When my husband showed up a few hours later, he immediately noticed the ceiling fan in the kids entertainment room was broken..and based on his observation, it was the couch that caused it. The delivery guy (2) rolled that couch through the hallway standing up. We called the company and let them know, and started the claim process. We sent pictures, etc. at the end they denied our claim. At the end of the day we will eat up this cost, but we will NEVER shop at Ashley's again solely because of this incident. If you take a look at my other reviews, I either write complaints or give kudos for great service. I am not the type to complain just to complain, I have high expectations for companies that provide me a service for my hard earned money. Any future customers of Ashley's furniture BEWARE, Ashley's is associated with a third party delivery company that clearly does not give a damn about what they do, and are dishonest because I am sure that guy knew he messed up our ceiling but rather than admitting he is human and made a mistake, he lied. I purchased a sofa on July 2 from the West Covina Ashley HomeStore. I set up a delivery for July 11 and everything was fine. Monday, July 10 I get a text saying that my delivery on July 11 would be between 1:45 and 5:45 in the afternoon I waited the whole day took off time from work. Nothing came. I called customer service was closed (I called at 6pm) so I had to wait until the next day. I called the next day to customer service and I get a very nice girl who obviously English is not her first language and she tries to help me out. She says someone will call me within 24 hours. I wait 24 hours no call so I call again customer service, and again I get someone from a foreign country Which is fine but I could not understand her. Her English was horrible and it sounded like she was outside where it was windy. Now they're telling me my order is back ordered and I have to wait until July 18 which is a week from when it was supposed to be here at my house, and when they told me it was coming. I will never use this company again. I cannot speak to a manager. They told me they had to call me back because there was not one available. Customer service for this company is horrible. Purchased a King size bed frame and mattress, when it was delivered the bed was 13 inches higher then the display model, so high that my mom could not get on the bed without a step stool, went back to the store to measure their mattress on display, same size as the one we purchased there. Emailed "Customer Care", they wanted pictures, so I did send photos for them to send me another generic computerized email that they do not exchange or return unless damaged, stating it was disclosed on the receipt. No offer for any help after spending $4,200. And no help from the salesman Nelson or anyone behind the desk at the West Covina store. Never again, Karma is real. If I could give this store a huge 0 I would. Absolutely the WORST store and experience I've ever had!!!!!! 1st thing that went wrong was we ordered a bedroom set. Bed frame, 2 nightstands and a dresser. Delivery day comes and our dresser and nightstands don't match our bed frame. 2nd thing that went horribly was the customer service from their manager Adam. This was their huge screw up and he admitted it. I wanted my correct furniture to be delivered next day as we already waited a week and this happened. He said he couldn't the best he could do was Monday. So of course there we go having to take time off of work for their screw up. 3rd thing that was wrong was the bed frame we ordered. I was in such a hurry and on the phone with their customer service I didn't realize our bed frame was wrong. So I make my 2nd trip to the store in the same day to have this corrected. I deal with Adam again and I get told a claim has to be put in and approved for the switch of the bed frame but it's just the front panel. Fine whatever just fix your 2nd screw up. I have to wait another week for that to be delivered. 4th thing that really irritated me was that their was no compensation for this entire mess THEY created from the moment we paid for our furniture. Quick to take our money but not to fix their crap. The least they could of done was refund us delivery charges or taxes for the huge inconvenience they caused us several times. I even at one point said give me my money back and take your bed frame back since we don't have our other furniture and was told by Adam that was not an option! I'm sorry but is complete garbage. My wife and myself went to Ashley furniture looking for a sectional and a dining room table the price change four different times we were told will get it for one price with free delivery also free protection but then the price changed the manager just called back right now so they can give us everything for the price we were told over the phone but now that's without protection I feel like I'm being ripped off at that store. We told him how about we just buy the table and the eight chairs by itself before it was 2169 now if you want to buy the table and chairs by itself without the sectional the price went up to $2600 now that's the worst place to go. I am very surprised at the decline of Ashley furnitures integrity. This isn't my first time shopping at Ashley's different locations and online but recently my boyfriend and I wanted to purchase a new bedroom set and here are the two biggest problems listed below. 1. We were lied to about the prices and "discount" offered on the bedroom set. They pulled a very scammy sales move and though I caught on to it, since it didn't affect us financially and was merely a lie, once i discovered that the sales bc rep basically made it seem as if we were getting a large discount but really what he did was show us a price that was clearly out of our range not the price of the bedroom set ( since we told him our budget was 3000 give or take, he basically "made up" all of these "discounts" and brought us back to to the ACTUAL price of our bedroom set 3100. since it's was technically in budget I didn't make a big deal oof his lack of integrity whatever makes you sleep better at night sir. We wouldn't purchased the furniture anyway lol *** I highly recommend doing a price check on the website before going to this location **** 2. We were promised a worse case delivery date June 10th. He assured us that that was absolute worse case! So today i spoke to someone via chat (because they do not answer their store phone nor their corporate phones) and the representative informed me that the new ETA was JULY 25th! Please work on your transparency and above all else INTEGRITY. I know you have to fed your families but you shouldn't have to lie to do it. Honestly one of the worst experiences here at Ashley's Furniture. We ordered a Couch and Bed Set to deliver a month later. They kept pushing out our bed order every week. One month later and I still don't have my bed. I canceled my order and picked up a frame from Ikea and a mattress from Costco the same day. I would never recommend Ashley's to anyone. We called again 5 days later, they again agreed to return but conveniently stated there's no pick up available but need to wait , however they did replacement again. If I could rate a ZERO I would. Here are my complaints and you should definitely read them unless you want to get screwed: 1. If you purchase something from this store check the receipt!!! They will add a $319.99 5 year protection plan to your order without asking you. My sales agent NEVER asked me if I wanted it nor did he even mention it to me and just added it. What's funny is that my brother bought furniture from a different Ashley store in LA and they did the same to him. Luckily I had already warned him so he caught it. Im sure I'm not the first customer that happened to. I wasn't so smart and didn't check the receipt until I had left the store. When I called to talk to my sales agent he wanted to give me $100 gift cards to make up the difference. Obviously that was a no for me so I had to go back into the store to have them change the WHOLE order to take off the protection plan because they couldn't do it over the phone. 2. My sales agent also gave my wife and I a bedding demo for an extra $100 off, which was NEVER applied to the final balance. Beware of that!!! 3. When I went back into the store they took off the protection plan and credited me my free $100 for the demo and said that I would be refunded between 7-10 days. 3 weeks later I still didn't receive my refund and of course I had to go back into the store once again to get this all figured out. When I got to the store the lady told me that the refund was NEVER processed because no ticket was ever created ‍ she then created a ticket and I received a ticket number and finally received my refund within a week 4. DON'T ORDER ITEMS ON BACK ORDER!!! If you are going to purchase items that are on back order be careful!!!! My initial sales agent gave me a delivery time frame of January and I purchased my items in late November which was fine at the moment. When I was in the store for the 3rd time in December the lady said that I could have multiple deliveries if my items were all coming in on different dates so I had scheduled a delivery date for Sunday January 23rd for the earlier items and I still had one item not scheduled to come in until April. She said that I would be receiving a call a few days before confirming the time for the delivery. I ending up calling on Saturday 1/15 to confirm my delivery date for 1/23 and now my date was somehow switched to Monday1/24. I talked to a customer service rep and had her change that date to 1/23 and she "said" she did. Today is 1/22 and I didn't receive a call for the delivery so I called customer service again and now my delivery date was somehow changed to April!! My items that were supposed to come in in January were now pushed back to February but no one informed me of the delay. I only found out because I called to verify. Because my items were now pushed back to arrive in February they changed my delivery date back to April so they could deliver everything at once. After talking to customer service today I was "finally" told that all of these delivery dates that were set with me were "estimated" delivery dates and nothing was ever guaranteed until the items arrive in their warehouse. I was told by customer service today that my early items are now scheduled to arrive by 2/7 and it will be "my responsibility" to call on that date to verify if my items have arrived and if they have then I can schedule an "actual" delivery date. JUST KNOW THAT IF ITEMS ARE ON BACK ORDER THE DELIVERY DATE THAT THEY GIVE YOU ARE ONLY ESTIMATED. They don't tell you that and project it as you "will" receive your items on that date. Also if your items don't come in on time and your "estimated" delivery date gets pushed back NO ONE NOTIFIES YOU!!!! If I had just checked the receipt VERY carefully before I paid for anything, and didn't order anything on back order I "think" everything would've went smoothly. Hope this helps read more

I bought a dresser 2 months ago, returned it (it was damaged) and I'm still waiting for my refund. Dealing with Ashley Furniture has been a complete nightmare. I will never purchase anything from this store ever again. First strike, pick up for returned item. Pick up guys shows up at my house without prior notice. I was coming out of the shower and received a call from customer service to tell me pick up guys had been outside for 15 mins and were leaving. I asked rep to please let them know I was coming out; she said it was too late & they were leaving. I rush out to the door and guys were sitting in their truck and were more than willing to wait a few mins. Strike two, getting my refund. It's been over 2 months and I'm still chasing the admin. staff to get my full refund. A portion of my purchase was made with cash and other portion with credit card. I only received back the credit card refund and I'm missing the refund for cash. Administrative staff cannot get this done. I've spoken to Supervisor Andrea, who assured me multiple times I've called check refund will be sent but I'm still waiting. Today I called again and was told that I have a store credit! Many of my friends have told me to stay away from this place, but the initial service I received when I was window shopping was so good that I decided to give them a chance, but I wish I didn't. Worst choice of my life. If you value your time, do not come here. I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt but this place is something else. I have never experienced such horrible customer service - from the employees to the manager, Nathan. He was "helpful" but I say that very loosely. We came in upset with the service and he basically smiled and said "there's nothing we can do, sorry." Wow thanks for your help, manager :) Before I talked to Nathan, I actually called in the West Covina store upset with the service I received and the girl that picked up HUNG UP ON ME. I was shocked and I still am shocked. They have no people skills and will just brush you off if you have a problem. I had to call in multiple times between customer care (the "warehouse," "customer service," or whatever they call themselves) and the actual store to clarify my order to get everything right. There's no communications between their departments, whatsoever, and very disorganized :( Basically, I ordered something last November 2018 and the problem did not get solved until May 2019.. thats HALF a year. It's now November again and every time I hear their commercials on the radio, I just laugh. I feel bad for employees working here, "I work at Ashley Furniture." BIG YIKES. I am extremely upset with the service from Ashley's at this location. I am a very collected person and rarely write reviews so this means something. In November of 2021, my wife and I, 2 weeks married, went to the store to get all the furniture for our home. The final price was over $5,000 and the salesperson was rude and attended to other female customers. I get it, the guy was young and the females were young too, so he wanted to make an impression on them, I get it, but completely negated us and it turned out to be a 3 hour wait and we just left the store extremely disappointed. Fast forward to February 2022, we were in the neighborhood and my wife said to give it a shot again. Happy wife, happy life you know. So, I was like screw it and let's give them another shot. Once going in, we meet Brody, the most respectful and awesome person to be a salesperson. Once my wife knew what she wanted, Brody was quick to assist and we were out of there in no time. Brody is awesome! We let him know the story of last time and he was also upset. It showed us he cared. With Brody's service alone, I would give him 5 stars. Fast forward to the delivery. The furniture we ordered, one piece was cracked and now we have to wait 24 hours for an email to be sent to see when the next available date is for delivery. I don't even know where to begin. Our first purchase was originally with Scott around October 2018, to give him the benefit of the doubt when we made this purchase he was fairly new. Our bed was a bit to big for the mattress but in the end of the day the manager accommodated with my fiancée and I to re-select the bed frame. Scott was keeping in touch occasionally. So 4 STARS FOR SCOTT! Around February 2019 we noticed that there was a big lump in the middle of the mattress. We went to the location where we than met JOANNE. We informed her regarding our mattress and it's defect. Therefore she stated, "YEA THOSE MATTRESSES HAVE HAD PROBLEMS IN THE PAST, I DONT KNOW WHY HE WOULD SELL YOU THAT" She than said "I DONT SELL MATTRESSES, I SELL A GOOD LIFE STYLE" she gave us a customer service number for a technician to come out and take a look at the mattress at our home. She ensured us that they will give us our credit back due to the defect. Also, that we were better off making a new purchase at that moment (SHE JUST WANTED THE SALE) so we can start sleeping better and once the technician took a look at our first purchase that Ashley's would pick up the old mattress and we could use the credit to possibly purchase a base. We made our new purchase, when we got the new mattress we later noticed that it was not a king size bed like we initially wanted. It was Cal-king. We reached out to Joanne and she responded rudely "WELL ITS THE SAME PRICE ANYWAY" yes, she was correct BUT it's not what we wanted! We than had this situation handled with the exception due to Joanne's mistake. Yet to discover by the cashier that the company will not take any mattress after delivery. WHICH LEFT US WITH DEFECTIVE A KING SIZE MATTRESS IN OUR ROOM. Ashley's has not reached out to us regarding the defect and come to find out (when we called customer care) that the technician never submitted any notes. I AM BEYOND DISAPPOINTED AND DONT FEEL VALUED AS A CUSTOMER. On the bright side, we decided to give Ashley's ONE more try to purchase an adjustable base. We went to the Montclair location where we met Sal P. And manager David. We explained our situation to David and he was very professional and apologized on their behalf. They both did not say anything negative and were there to help us! He said they did it all including water marks and wear and tear. Well I called for a claim and sent pictures and they asked the most ridiculous questions. Well they said the peeling paint on the top of the night stand is wear and tear and they don't cover that. So another words do not buy anything like a lamp, a tray or books to be on top of your nightstand because the paint is chipping right on top of the wood. Doesn't that just sound silly. It's only 3 years old. Imagine what it will look like on 10. The product sold looks very pretty and I was excited but it turned out to be cheap! Cheap quality paint. One is the lowest rating allowed on this app. If it was up to me I would assign a flashing warning sign not to buy from this corporation. Went in on 10/9/21 and made a $2000 purchase. Was scheduled for delivery 2 days out. I was like wow, that's great. Disposed of my old furniture and was ready for the delivery. Delivery date came and was almost done when I called the customer service dept, was notified that I was scheduled for December 2021 needless to say, the written promise that was issued and signed in store holds no value when it comes to this Corp. I went back to the store given that the cust service person couldn't do anything over the phone. While there, a "manager" made a call and rescheduled me for 10/15/21. My items were brought, the bed frame was cracked and they didn't have me set up for assembly. So I paid $199 + tax for nothing, yeah right. Went back to the store to demand a refund for a service I was not given. I was told that a case would be opens and that it would take 72 hrs for it to get approved. The customer service girl tried handing me a sticky-note with a hashtag and some numbers. Like, what am I suppose to do with that? They didn't respect their written promises, you think they'll honor a sticky-note. what a joke. Needless to say I refused it and requested it be on letterhead or printed on a receipt. I guess that was too much for them. So, if you're at an Ashly store or thinking of purchasing from them don't be surprised if you get the same outcome don't walk, run out of their store, especially if you're at the West Covina location. Oh and while I was there waiting to be helped, there was another lady requesting a full refund of her purchase. Wonder what went wrong with her stuff. Horrible business practices. Especially coming from that "manager." Laughable how they have a sign there stating "Work Hard" located in their "managers office" visible from the customer service area. Finally was transferred to the West Covina store , asked the guy who knows so much about the store he works in if he had the mattress in stock he said "yes" LMAO I drive from La Habra , and I was told NO that it would need to be shipped:( I spoke to the manager Anthony and he said the soonest would be the 20th :( I told him I need the mattress by tomorrow, that I'm sleeping on the floor ....he said " go to Costco " ...... this place hires a bunch of kids with NO skills in customer service!!!! read more

Buyer beware!  I  bought items at their store, they delivered the items, I returned some items, then 3 months later Ashley Furniture calls me saying I owe them over $400. Patricia from Ashley's said if I do not pay, they will either send me to collections or show up at my house to get the items.  I paid for everything at time of purchase! I was in the store several times after and they even refunded me money. I have spent hours on the phone trying to reach the Regional Manager, no response. I am in disbelief on the customer service, organization and scamming that this company is doing. I did NOT finance anything, I paid for it at the store in person and it took over 1 month for the items to get delivered. Why would ashley's deliver items is it wasn't paid for? Do not do business with Ashley's!! PLUS, they have dated furniture and it is not quality furniture either! read more

If I could give a 0 I would! We bought a pull out bed couch from Ashley's and they delivered it a few days later. That weekend we discovered it wasn't actually a pull out bed and just a regular couch. We asked for them to correct the problem, they said no. We asked for a difference refund they said no. 100% will never shop at a place that can not take responsibility for their mistakes and make it right. read more
