I saw all the reviews from here and i got really worried just as anyone would after reading them, but i had already placed my order before reading the reviews luckily. If i hadnt placed my orders i probably wouldnt have bought from them - I'm glad i did. I ordered my furniture on november 29th in store, they told me that day that i would recieve a notice on january 11th to plan which day my furniture gets delivered. I chose january 13th and it was great! They told me they would be here between 3:30-6:30 and they were here by 4. They did a great job, wore masks most of the time, super friendly, and overall had a great experiance. Would recommend to a friend or family member. P.S. furniture looks amazing! read more

Veterans & military members Do not purchase from this store. On Veterans Day, we spent approximately 3000.00 on a dining table and matching buffet, and after delivery & set up, we explained the table was highly unstable ( not level) and so were the chairs. The delivery techs attempted to blame it on our floor. So we moved other items not put together by Ashley furniture in the same area, and the floor was level. While the technicians were there, my husband Quincy called the store to explain these items were wobbly and not stable. So unstable, we are concerned any weight will cause this dining room table for seven will break. The manager has not called us back as promised, and now after three days, we have spent over 5 hours with different & sometimes wrong numbers given by Ashley to try and get their product the store stood behind fixed. Our next step will be reporting them to the military JAG office for selling fraudulent products they will not fix, which will allow us the proper documentation for a lawsuit in small claims court. 10/28/22 - Update - I reached out to the franchise owner and they are replacing my set of furniture with a new set. This is what I asked for in the beginning. Hopefully they will conduct some training and prevent this issue from happening with other customers. 10/28/22 - Update - They called last week to delivery another replacement and the manager inspected it and it was damaged. Today they delivered another replacement and it had two damage spots on it. This is a franchise of Ashley furniture and is the worse experience I have ever had. The count now is out of 9 pieces either delivered or attempted to be delivered 7 of the pieces were damaged the one repair was repaired with damaged material. The repaired pieces is not the same quality I paid for. The head rest part of the repair is now hard and not soft like it was before the repair. This is not what I paid thousand of dollars for. Even the Ashley Furniture Corporate customer care is slow to respond and does not follow-up like they say they will. I have to email them to get them to follow-up and give me a call again. Before you purchase from this store look online at the BBB website and see the amount of complaints filed. Also notice they stopped responding to my post here. 10/21/22 - Update - They have attempted to deliver 2 more pieces for the one piece they took back because the frame was broken and both times the new piece was damaged. They repaired one of the piece from first delivery they refuse to replace and the fabric they sent and was put on has a dye stain on the back from where they put a board on it with dye. They are sending another piece of fabric. The other issue with the repair is the repaired piece is not the same quality as the original. The cushions do not bounce back out like the non-repaired piece and it is uncomfortable to sit on. You can clearly see the difference. The repair person had to remove the stuffing from the broken piece and stuff it into the new and because it is stuffed in by hand it is not the same. They will not provide me a refund or replace the messed up pieces in my home. The customer service is horrible and the quality is even worse. I wish I could give negative stars. I have always purchased from Ashleys but unless they fix this issue to my satisfaction I will never again. Original - The delivery drives cut the back of my couch with box cutter when they delivered. We did not notice until about 5 minutes after they left. I contacted customer care and sent photo. They told me they were sending a piece of fabric and a technician to remove the cut piece and stitch on a new piece. The delivery drivers set it up and left without giving us time to inspect the furniture. I told them I did not spend thousands of dollars on damage furniture and wanted it replaced. They refused and told me they will only patch it since it is in my home. I will never purchase another piece of furniture from Ashley's Furniture. Warning: - Don't buy here unless you are ok with mistakes. - Be prepared to wait a couple months for delivery. - Be prepared to be the squeaky wheel with customer service. - Better yet, see if you can take the pieces that day. Save yourself headaches. We bought 3 brand new items. 1 item took 4 weeks to arrive. 2 items ended up getting swapped out for cheaper floor samples which meant we were gypped with paying higher prices for used pieces. Ended up getting a store credit for one item. The unexpected floor item was FILTHY. Really wish I could post photos of it because it is so skeevy. We called to reject it and were told that someone would come clean it. Seriously? We buy brand new, you deliver a dirty, used piece of furniture and then expect us to be ok with a clean? Store agreed to swap it out with a new one and still, almost 2 months on, we have NOT YET gotten the last chair. Every time we call, we're told that oh, scheduled for delivery tomorrow, in a couple of days, coming soon, etc., etc., but still no chair. Thing is, we dealt with Ashley in May for another order and everything went fine. Reading the reviews, it seems like the store has gone downhill since June of this year. Never had such a frustrating experience with a furniture store. And management, if you're reading this, don't bother with an apology. Instead, deliver the dang chair! read more

Extremally Disappointed. We went buy a bed for our guestroom. We informed the salesperson right away that please only show us what's available for a quick delivery this week. We found one, he said that its available and it can be delivery this week no problem. We started going over the price with the manager, but weren't happy the total price, since they don't honor their online from their own website. The manager kept saying that I am cutting my throat for giving you this price as if this it was some kind of a favor. I said just go ahead and lets do it.... 40 minutes later he come and tell me that sorry it is no longer available till February. Spent 2hrs at the store to hear that. We went to Ashley today and was assisted by Lamar.. He was very patient with us especially on explaining the products. We were looking into furnishing 2 bedrooms and the living room. We ended up buying the Chylanta set and Gerridan set for the bedrooms and Valerano queen sleeper together with Valerano love seat.. He was able to explain the overall value of the products.. Purchased 10/29 from the Woodbridge store with sales person TJ- we were told we could pick up in the warehouse the next week Nov 4th to be exact and then within 3 days after the sale we are told the items are delayed. We are over 1 month later and now they say the table and chairs will not be available until at least February. The most upsetting is that we should have been told of possible delays at the time of purchase. We were blatanlty lied to and now Ashely is binding us to the sale. My son has no table in his new condo until this comes in. He does not have the money to buy another table and we refuse to ever purchase anything else from Ashley ever again. read more

I purchased a Sofa and Loveseat from this location. There were issues with delivery and I contacted the Customer Service Representatives (CSR) team multiple times. After I had finally received some answers as to why my delivery had been rescheduled without my knowledge, I was provided some information that was new to me. I was informed that part of the reason was that the love seat I was receiving was a floor model and they couldn't retrieve it that morning. I NEVER agreed to a floor model love seat. I told the CSR team member that this was happening without my knowledge and that I had agreed to pay for a new love seat, not a floor model. When I asked to speak to the GM about cancelling my order, I was informed that he would call me later in the day. I called back two separate occasions (within a 7 hour period) asking if I could speak with him. Prior to this, I had contacted the CSR team 3 separate times just find out why my delivery was rescheduled/cancelled and I received no notification. By this point, I had been contacting the CSR team since 9:30am till approximately 8:45pm asking to speak to the GM because he had yet to call me back. Throughout this time, I was informed that there was no district or regional manager that oversees the store, which was a lie. I was neglected by the GM of the store for over 5 hours because he was with a "customer" the whole time. He had been emailed and told by multiple staff members that I was waiting for his phone call but decided that my issues or concerns were not worthy of his time. He blatantly knew I was on the phone with a member of his CSR team and left the building after saying he would speak with me. I have asked for documentation on the "new" furniture that I will be receiving but I will be asking to speak directly to the district or regional manager. I was lied to by my sales person and the GM of this location about the product I would be receiving, I was told inaccurate information on policies, I was lied to about the existence of a district/regional manager, and I was consistently stringed along to wait for a phone call that the GM never planned on making. I do not trust the people that are at this Ashley Homestore and I doubt I will be compensated, or EVEN APOLOGIZED to, for the day I just had. If I hadn't called to to ask about the time frame, I NEVER would have found out that the store was sending me a floor model when they charged me for a new model, I would have never found our that the delivery was not even coming that day. I still cannot get over the fact that I was lied to by a CSR team member that there was no regional or district manager above the GM. The last representative that I spoke with seemed shocked when I gave her that information. She said that she would be providing the District/Regional manager with my contact information to reach out to me, but I am not sure if this will actually happen. read more

Terrible customer service. They delivered my furniture to the wrong address although I provided my DL with the correct address on it, and was not willing to deliver my furniture on the correct address on the scheduled date. They tell me adamantly they have to reschedule the delivery although it was their error. Plus I took off work for the day. I was even willing to accept the delivery the next morning. I call the store and they were hands off. You have to deal with the delivery company. Ashley scheduled it tho. If it's your error be willing to correct your error. The wrost!!! I order a Sofa Chaise February 25 was told 6-8 weeks...They told me by the end of April. I went to the Store April 30th, they said looks like it will be in by May 10. I went to the store to checked May 23,2021 . Customer Service Representative said it looks like it came in damaged. It will be another 8-12 weeks. I said unacceptable. I will like to speak with a Manager. ( Black Man told me he was the Manager when I came in April 30th) He was standing by the register I said your the Manager right? I purchased a leather couch, loveseat and recliner from Ashleys. Within a year and half my dark brown leather couch had a patch of light tan on one of the sections on the couch. I went to the store and they said they only cover issues for a year. I called their customer service and was told the same as well as asking a supervisor to call me and no one ever did. I purchased the extended care for the leather and when I contacted them they said it was normal wear and tear and not covered. I asked them how could you get wear in tear in 1 1/2 years with just two people in the house. Their answer: Cheap leather. That said it all. I will never shop at Ashleys again. read more

Very disappointed with this store. I placed an order back in May and still haven't received my furinture. They have tried to deliver 3 times already and every time they come the product is broke when they open the box. I've paid for items that I still haven't received. The items that they did deliver I'm noticing has damages that looks like was covered up before delivery and is now a process to claim which takes time and energy. I should have known the type of business they had going on when I was in the store purchasing because I seen several people coming in complaining about the same issues. NEVER AGAIN. I wish I could leave a negative star!!!!! Long story short. I went to the Woodbridge Va store on May 20th to replace items that had been damaged in a house fire. When it was time to pay I asked about their return/cancellation policy. I was told that, once the items had been delivered I would NOT be able to return them. Okay seemed fair. Before I even received a delivery date, a family emergency occurred that I needed to leave town for. I called the store on May 29th to cancel my order. I was told I could not cancel the order. I went online to see about their policies and had my Husband return to the store and again request a refund. He was told they DO NOT go by the online information because they are a franchise. WOW nice to know after you have taken my money. Mind you, I still don't have a delivery date. Updates thanking me for my patience, but not delivery date. I have sent a letter to the corporate office in hopes that they will help me and plan on complaining to the BBB. It amazes me how any company can force you to do business with them against your will and not allow you a refund for something you haven't even received yet. Never purchasing anything from Ashley. We purchased a desk from them with a defective leg. My husband called the customer service line to have them ship us a new leg. Three weeks later we received a package in the mail with screws. He called them back and they said it would take another 7-10 business days for them to ship us the correct part. He told him that we would just return the desk. They absolutely refuse to accept back the defective desk. read more

Read all the reviews and very hesitantly entered the store. Rod spent about an hour with us, helping us make the right decision for our family. He kept encouraging us to take our time. We left the store that night without making a purchase. The next day we ordered the furniture online and we received an email that it would be delivered at a date three weeks from our order date. We were content with that date, but to our surprise, we got a phone call stating we could have it delivered the next Friday. This was a total of one week from our order date. The delivery window was 9am-1pm. Would you believe they called at 8:54am saying they would be at our house in 10 minutes? The delivery crew was very professional and efficient! The furniture looks great and works wonderfully. We would highly recommend Ashley. read more

My friend and I visited the store in Woodbridge, and our representative that helped us name was Lindsey as well as the floor manager Kip. She was so helpful, respectful and very patient with us as we were shopping for new couches. We couldn't be more pleased with the customer care she gave us, except the customer service representative at the payment counter was beyond rude to her. She was price matching a couch for us and she had all the information correctly written down. Not only did he belittle her in front us us, he not once apologized for his mistake. He definitely needs to learn proper customer service training and how to deal with not only customers but with fellow coworkers. I had Zafar as my sales representative. She talked really fast and was very pushy. She tried convincing us (boyfriend and I) to buy a mattress to go with the bed frame we were purchasing. We continued to decline. We were told the bed would be $700 and we could pay the bed off within 90 days without it affecting our credit. I tried signing up for the plan with progressive leasing but continued to be placed on hold for an extensive period of time. Over an hour each time! I essentially gave up. After a year of purchasing this bed I was confused as to why we still were paying this bed off. I didn't understand why I was being charged twice a month for this bed frame or why it has been over a year and the $700 hadn't been paid off. I looked online at my profile with Progressive and it stated I had spent more than double of what I was originally wanting to pay. I had now spent over $1,500!! I looked into it and reached out to Ashley Furniture and was told there was nothing they could do on their end. I explained how Zafar never once explained the payments to us or stated we would end up paying more than double of what the bed was worth. I stated she said it would be $60 a month not $120 and that she never said we would pay more than the $700. They weren't understanding or sensitive of the matter and never once apologized. They told me there was nothing they could do and wouldn't even allow me to speak with the manager Noorula. I contacted Progressive Leasing and was given the upmost respect. He was sensitive, understanding, and went out of his way to help me. He ended up paying off the rest of our bed at no charge to us. I was happy he did what he could but I wish I could've at least got back $700 since I ended up spending more than double the bed. Regardless of the outcome I want to warn all first time buyers to be careful and to ask many questions before signing a contract. To the useless and incompetent store manager Nick, Did you know that when you call the store or customer care the first thing the operator says it's "All calls may be recorded for quality assurance purposes", but I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know, as you're clueless to everything else that happens at your store and the lack of basic customer service and phone etiquette at his direction. When I let Nick know that my in person discussion with him was being recorded (for quality assurance purposes), he tossed my paperwork at me and said he was refusing to speak with me. Why? Are you that afraid of accountability? Because when I was expressing all my frustrations you had nothing to say but was very defensive the minute I mentioned the recording. I have multiple email correspondence with Asadullah Danesh requesting a phone call from Nick. As I had already spoken with him back in December when I made him aware of my situation. My phone calls don't get answered anymore unless it's from an unknown number. I have to physically go to the store every time to be able to get updates on my order. At this point, I should probably be in Ashley'a payroll. The most recent update on the missing piece for my furniture (that I received and been paying for since December) was that it would be delivered to the store on Tuesday (5/2). Olivia from the customer service desk at the store said I would receive a phone call confirming they received it or not on Tuesday. Tuesday came and went and no phone call. When I called the following day (Wednesday 5/3) I asked for Olivia since she was my most recent contact. I was told she wasn't at the store but they would check what happened. I'm then told the piece won't be delivered until next week because magically the truck has changed delivery schedules to the store. Isn't that convenient. I then asked if someone was going to let me know that, why am I having to call to get this information? As I mentioned before, I've stopped multiple times and have seen about 3-5 sales associates just sitting around. One of them could easily give phone call updates. But anyways, as I'm heading out of the store, guess who's sitting around with the rest of the team, OLIVIA!! But I was told she wasn't there.. interesting right?? I asked her what happened with my piece of furniture. She said that it would get delivered to my house on Tuesday. I exited the store and called to clarify what Olivia said because I was told it would be delivered to the store and not my house. I'm not home on weekdays, unlike them, I actually have a job that I take pride in and do. I mentioned on the phone that Olivia, who I was told wasn't there told me it would be my house, but the person on the phone said that Olivia was there but not "working", if that's the case why is she speaking with customers and giving false information? That's about 10% of my overall ON GOING experience with Ashley Furniture. Stay tuned for my whole experience, it will end up a book. I bought furniture from Ashley Homestore in Woodbridge on July 28th 2020, I was told my delivery date would be September 5th, it is now October 12th. I still have not received my furniture or refund. I have been in contact with Ashley's Furniture by my own will, never them reaching out to me. The blow dates were promised for delivery; Septemeber 5th, 13, 21st and October 6th, 9th, 12th and NOW the 19th. I requested a refund from the store manager Valerie on September 22nd, where she stated she could not give a refund on store level and that she has to contact corporate to request a refund. Also stated that corporate would contact me within 24-48 hours. It is now 20 days later since I was told I would receive a call, to no avail about my refund of over $1,000. It is now October 12th, no furniture, no refund. When speaking with customer service I was told that the store is a franchise store and that they need to handle the refund at the store. When speaking to the store they said that they go through a DIFFERENT CORPORATE? and that they would be in touch with me. Still to no avail. This store is very unprofessional, lies about estimated delivery times when they KNOW nothing is coming in just to get your money. This is theft, unprofessional and they have zero transparency as a company. I have submitted a complaint with the BBB.org, contacted my bank for fraudulent activity and will be contacting my families law firm for a lawyer. read more
