Vintage clothing feels better made than the mass produced pieces in major retailers today, so I always feel better buying a well made vintage item knowing it has years of wear left and of course. You can definitely tell the owner is meticulous about the condition of the clothing which I really appreciate. The owner is great at sharing new pieces in the shop on instagram (@wilderbagco) when items are rotated. And she is on it, yall! I feel like she's posting new stuff everyday. You can even reserve or purchase a piece that catches your eye if you can't make it to the shop immediately. It's also nice to support a small local business who supports other small businesses and area entrepreneurs. Then as I made my way throughout the store I also saw vintage leather and suede purses and boots. And they also carry a beautiful selection of rare vintage silver jewelry along with a few new unused pieces of jewelry. They have an awesome selection of old school Levi's jeans and cut off shorts and they also sell some cute plants. I think this store is pretty awesome and there are some really great finds. I was able to find an amazing leather 70's bag in great condition and a cute pair of brand new tiny heart shaped sterling silver earrings at a great price. I'm totally digging this vintage store and looking forward to shopping here again. The owner of the store seems to be the one who shops for the items she sells and has great taste-- and I love it! Walking into the Leech Pit is like getting vertigo at a strobe filled dance club (oontz oontz oontz) - there's just so much goodness you just need to pause to catch your breath and take it all in. But you can't pause because your heart is pounding and you're giddy with excitement. The rare concert t-shirts, the racks and racks of clothes that serve as documentary of every phase you ever went through, the action toys you spent every afternoon with (and realize you now could be rich if you had kept them instead of letting mom donate them to the stupid kid down the road because you're too old for them now SMH), the records - oh sweet Jesus the records! - and even record players for your new collection! It's a one stop shop for your wildest dreams!! As if the shop wasn't Valhalla on earth on its own, I met the owner too (I think his name was Adam, but he looks like an Izzy). He was damn cool - I think he's probably my long-lost best friend from 6th grade that I used to get in trouble with. When he shows you around you realize he knows every item intimately, because he curated everything in the store. Everything in the Leech Pit feels like an expression of the owner and his commitment to taking you on a journey to excite your senses and comfort your soul. I had an extremely uncomfortable and disrespectful experience at this store…read more I was made to feel like I was being accused of stealing not once, but twice. At one point, I had put my belongings down for a moment, and an employee moved them from where I had placed them and put them on a container without even speaking to me about it. What really crossed the line was having an employee block or stand in front of the door when I had absolutely nothing in my hands. That was embarrassing, humiliating, and completely unnecessary. What made the situation even worse was that while walking through the store, I saw other customers putting their belongings down as well, but I did not see them being treated the way I was. Being watched, having my belongings moved, and then having the exit blocked made me feel singled out and treated like a thief when I had done nothing wrong. Customers should not be made to feel suspicious or unwelcome simply for shopping. The whole experience left me feeling disrespected and embarrassed, and I seriously hope management addresses how customers are being treated.

We brought it to two other tailors to try and get it fixed (which we had to rush to do considering they had it for a month!). Both of those tailors said whoever worked on his suit was "not a tailor" and they ended up having to undo everything he paid them for.
