Their spirits are made in house and are branded based on a local historical building Summer Seat and Adam Hoops who built the property and financed the revolutionary war. What a cool tribute. They have entertainment Wednesday through Sunday. Tonight was a great guitarist. The general manager Chris as super knowledgeable and friendly. There's an outdoor enclosed porch that is heated and dog friendly. I also noticed they advertised time stamped dogs from the Trenton Shelter which is incredible! Food average.... Service incredible... ambience awesome! Since Bitchin Kitten closed down the street this is the spot in Morrisville! There was a sweet live "funkish" type band playing outside. I've read quite a few reviews complaining of poor service. Quite the opposite for our group! Stopped in for a Saturday lunch and really enjoyed our visit. Parking in the front and rear and a cute seating area right next to some of the still equipment. Sit at the bar if you want to see any of the mixology action! My local friend says it get packed at dinner, so reservations might be a good choice for hot times. The cocktail menu is extensive, and all made with their in-house spirits! We particularly enjoyed the spring cocktail specials, including plenty of floral and fruity selections. We enjoyed two rounds, including a well balanced espresso martini and a Bees Knees, garnished with fresh honeycomb and lavender. Lots of tasty bar fare to choose from here, but we aimed for the classics and enjoyed warm pretzel bites with beer cheese, then chicken parm sliders and a Ashlynn Chicken Sandwich, respectively. The sandwich was great- arugula, aioli, and prosciutto with a tender grilled breast, but the FRIES were where it's at. Super crispy, light, double fried. This was my first time at Ashlynn. It was so cute inside & they had a live band. I ordered the bottomless mimosas & the pork roll, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. The food was so so good - one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a while. The mimosas weren't super strong, but they were bottomless. A friend and I had a great happy hour experience here recently. It was recommended by a few friends and they were correct in doing so. My biggest gripe would be the tightly spaced parking, but I'll park more strategically on future visits. We started with the calamari and that was our only issue with the food. It was fried decently but seemed a little off, and not as tender as we had hoped. My burger was much better! In fact I can't say I've had a better "bar" burger in many years. The fries that came with it were of the same quality. We topped it off with a very good peanut butter explosion dessert that I forget to photo. It was a brownie bottom with peanut butter mousse covered in thick dark chocolate. It was even plated nicely with berries and cream. As a distillery I think the focus was really on the booze. And on that I would say 5 stars for value, quality of cocktail and potency. These were strong and very well made. We liked our choices but were slightly envious when we saw the smoked old fashioned. As another astute reviewer revealed, they are happy to offer samples of their spirits. I was surprised by the caramel apple whiskey but took home a bottle of the 80 proof whiskey. On a return trip I'll likely get the 110 proof as well. Both are priced nicely considering the small batch size and local aspect. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the music and atmosphere while watching the bar keep apply his craft. Happy hour prices from 4-7 on cocktails and tapas. The Sunday brunch sounded cool too, with more brunchy food options and a few half price cocktails. We both agreed we'll be back. read more

This is an awesome place. The coffee ( I don't drink) was pretty good but the Parmesan flounder with lemon butter and capers was out of this World and into the next! It is very nutritious and served with a choice of fries, asparagus, rice, roasted potatoes, or a side salad. Complete meal! I am SO excited that this local distillery has opened up and put such a positive mark on Morrisville. As a local, we were very much lacking in food and entertainment and Ashlynn brings both with a bang! We came on a random Friday to have lunch and expected the ambiance to not be great since it was early and the place was mostly empty, but we were wrong. We had the pleasure of sitting at the bar and speaking to Bob (the bar manager) and got the details on the drink menu and how they come up with it. It was a beautiful experience in craft cocktail making just watching him make our drinks. Hubby had a Sugar Plum Bourbon (Ashlynn bourbon, orange liquer, lemon juice, holiday spiced syrup and club soda) and it was STRONG but delicious. I had the Winter Warmer (jalapeño infused tequila, ancho chile liquor, bitters and holiday spiced syrup), which was INCREDIBLE. Bob took his time explaining each cocktail and how they make all their mixers in house, we even got to know some history of Ashlynn distillery and how they continue to grow. We had been purchasing their whiskey for the last year but taking it to go because we thought this place was only 21+, but now that they have a kitchen and music they are so family friendly! The space is not super large inside but I think that makes it better so that the service continues to be so personalized and great. Also, they have started a very affordable bottomless brunch option and the food menu looks incredible. We only did some chicken fingers and fries and were impressed already. MORRISVILLE, PA: Our new favorite dog friendly place just over the border of Trenton into Pennsylvania is Ashlynn Distillery! On our first visit (we have been back again since then), we had great service from Nate and Cate who mixed up some awesome cocktails and educated us about their spirits which include whiskey, bourbon, rum, and their vodka, which is the first triple-blended in the world. We love smoked drinks and they can smoke anything and have a few cocktails that have the smoked element. They have a nice menu that includes seasonal specials and even brews from Bit-hin' Kitten Brewery, which is also right in town! Charcuterie boards are on the food menu and you can bring your own from Lavilla Family Restaurant, an Italian restaurant across the street, or other places in this historic town. Just outside the building is part of the Delaware canal, a narrow multipurpose path, for a nice walk with the pup. read more

No disputing that local distilleries are a big THING these days, but that does not mean that all are created equal. They are not. Fortunately, Ashlynn in beautiful downtown Morrisville, PA, is one that makes the cut. Its indoor/outdoor operation was jumping on a late Sunday afternoon, with live music, happy hour priced cocktails and personal service that tied everything together into a joyous interlude. Their Summer Rita (based w Summerseat Vodka, orange liqueur, guava purée) was half price, so why search further on the drink menu? Sipped through a paper straw it quenched the thirst while supporting ecologically sound practices. Hard to beat that double! And, the kitchen showed a talented hand, as well. Our CBR (chicken, bacon, ranch) flatbread was crisp, chunky and delicious, and the Chicken Parm Sliders, way better than expected. I couldn't even start the third, and handed it over to my son to consume. Ashlynn also has a policy of permitting sampling of their wares with a simple request. That small shot of their own Caramel Apple Whiskey went down so smooth that it was only a minute later that we felt the kick in the head. Yummy! Will no doubt be back for a bottle soon. We sat outside the open garage door where we could see and hear a local duo cover band perform their interesting set. Even the manager sat in to sing a few tunes with his raspy baritone. A great time was being had by all. Clearly, a locals hangout, but we were there from a nearby town to see what Ashlynn was all about. We were truly impressed. Today was my last visit. I was served food with tin foil hidden inside it. I already ate some when I realized it. They took that one item off the bill. When handed a $100.00 + check, where I'm literally hoping I can throw all this up after I'm done typing this review, I asked to speak to a manager. She apologized and after I asked about it, she took off my last drink that I didn't finish because of how I feel after eating the foil. I feel awful. It ruined my night. I of course tipped the fantastic Cara, and I tipped the waiter my standard 20%. I will not be back. It wasn't returned because it was raw or cold. It had tin foil in it, and I ate some! I have plenty of money and I have no problem paying for a good or bad meal. I enjoy the experience. To be feeling this awful. Wondering if I need to go to the ER. I'm really not happy how they handled this one bit. They lost me as a customer. I've brought a few different friend groups with me over this last year. All were first timers. That stops. My wife and I needed to visit family outside of Princeton and we decided to go somewhere else for ourselves. I had seen listings for Ashlynn Distillery in the past and realized it was about a half hour away. Win! We drove across the bridge and found the place immediately. Upon walking in we were warmly welcomed and felt at home. A stylish atmosphere with friendly staff and patrons. The bartenders were happy to answer any and all questions we had and gave us the best service in a new place for a long time. The drinks and food were top notch. We started with a flight of whiskey and then sampled a few cocktails of our own. The Fig Old Fashioned both regular and smoked were delicious and vastly different. The Falling Leaves had a fantastic flavor and aroma. The Pulled Pork Sandwich was well balanced with their Caramel Apple Whiskey but the Fried Calamari was one of the best I ever had. We walked out of the place with a bottle of the Caramel Apple Whiskey and the Pumpkin Spice Rum. We plan to return before the end of the month to try the upcoming Winter Menu. read more

I work hard all week, so when I dine out, I like to have a pleasant experience, free of stress. I can not say that is what happens here! We placed the order and after about 20 to 25 minutes the cocktails were not coming out and the food order was not even taken, even though the place was practically empty. There was a lot of loud screeching chairs being moved around though. I had to go ask the waitress to place a food order. The cocktails and food came, and they were pretty good. My husband wanted to place a beer order and the waitress was nowhere to be found. Finally, we had to go to the bartender to get a beer. I will not return, because I had an absolutely miserable time! He was, without doubt, one of the best waiters we've had in a long time. I don't usually ever go by service at a restaurant but when a server is this good..I want to write the review! The presentation of the drinks and food were amazing and all upscale. Brunch was delicious. The autumn salad was delish, brunch burger was one of the best burgers we've had and the avocado toast was 100! Amazing new distillery in Morrisville. It's a beautiful place with a cool atmosphere. I really enjoyed their Summerseat vodka, the bottles are gorgeous. They have an excellent cocktail menu with some really unique and creative drinks. The Espresso martini was one of the best I've ever had. I also tried the Fall & Stormy, Smoked Old Fashioned, and Orange Crush- all super tasty- I was really impressed! They also serve charcuterie boards which were really delicious. Decided to give this place a try for brunch after getting a gift card. Well sure glad it wasn't my money. Place was pretty empty for a Sunday midday so figured was perfect timing. Will add the volume of the music was a bit much for only 2 people seated at the bar and the rest of the place being empty. Was seated and given waters but mine was full of coffee grounds. Should have known from there this was not going to go well. Ordered drinks and browsed the menu. Placed our order and waited for our drinks. Wife's meal is no longer available and they haven't updated the menu. Not sure why they didn't know that ahead of time but it happens. So decides on something else. Still waiting on those drinks. Apps arrive and shortly after finally the drinks. After almost taking a sip our server returns and says she was given the wrong one and has it replaced. Not sure with the lack of others why it took so long or how the incorrect one was given but I digress. I ordered the bourbon lemonade and no peach or lemonade. Literally a full glass of what tasted like sour mix and a short of bourbon. Food comes out and it was lackluster at best. My wife did comment she didn't mind hers. We decided to just get desert to go to finish up the gift card but wouldn't you know after ordering that one of 3 options isn't available. Nice placebut small. They are trying to add space and enclosed the outside seating which is nice although away from the music. Amy is the only really nice server and interacts with the guests. The other servers need to be told to be a little more personable. Smile please girls. The owners are very nice. The bartenders make good drinks. Although they can get swamped when it's real busy. Wednesday nights... Cara Cartney night are the best but they do offer entertainment on other nights. Haven't tried their whiskey but bought a few bottles for Christmas gifts.
