Fabulous vibe and beautiful place. You can see lots of money put into this winery to make it a crowd pleaser. Puts you in a fun mood just walking in. It has been at least 20 years since I was last here and we are locals. The comedy night sounded intriguing therefore I put the word out to a bunch of friends. We pre-purchased tickets easily on line and filled a table of 10 with 5 retired couples. Once we arrived we purchased a few bottles of wine, snacks and enjoyed our 30 minutes before the comedians started. The place had a nice crowd but surprisingly many empty tables. Sooo...here's the bad part. We REALLY wanted to love it and make it our new "go to" place. However, and unfortunately, the sound system was pathetic. We all struggled to hear with their choppy and muffled microphone. One of the workers realized it was an issue and attempted to adjust it through the show which helped a little. But it was really bad for my Husband who wears a hearing aid. Still, the rest of us also struggled and missed a lot of the jokes. It was very frustrating. It took away from our enjoyment of the show. It was enough to stop us from booking future shows. Darn. I had such high hopes. The wine was ok...it is a table wine nothing fancy. I hope someone from Rose Bank reads this review and takes this as constructive feedback. Once the sound system is improved we would become regulars for the shows. It has so much potential! If Yelp had half stars, I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars. Everyone that works at Rose Bank is very friendly and helpful, which is great. The outdoor space looks beautiful, but it was too cold to sit outside. The front room is cozy, but a little dark for my liking. Wine-wise, I tried the flight of whites. I enjoyed the Pinot Grigio the most (and I am not usually a Pinot Grigio drinker), but k thought the others were just okay. I also ordered the cheese plate, which came with a large portion of toasts, apricot jam, and three cheeses. One of the cheeses was Swiss, which even for a cheese lover, is not usually in anyone's top choices. Overall, I might come back again on a nice day to sit outside. read more

We are looking to move into the area so we were looking at homes and had to leave our 9 year old docile beagle mix at home because we wanted to look at Rose Bank winery as a wedding venue. When we arrived there was a Pit Bull laying on the couch with glasses on. Cute but he was inside. I'm thinking the that the people with him may have been related to the owners of the winery? The lady in pink was screaming and the man was lounging on a couch with his feet on the table. Not a good look for the venue at all. We have other places to look at and this didn't show well. Absolutely a hidden gem!! Ann was a fabulous guide and the entire staff was beyond warm & welcoming. We did a public tasting and a flight, could've spent the entire afternoon there. I attended a wedding here recently. The venue was absolutely beautiful--both the grounds and the interior were stunning. The food was good and nicely presented. Unfortunately, the chairs used during the reception were extremely uncomfortable, to the point where I had to leave halfway through. I also wasn't able to stand for long periods, which made it difficult to stay and enjoy the rest of the event. A more comfortable seating option would have made a big difference. read more

Was able to come here while on a private party wine tour, so the outside, open air seating was a nice environment to be in after being in a large car/van for so long. The small petting zoo is a nice touch, and the service was quick and attentive. As far as the wine goes, I wanted a nice variety because I had been drinking red prior, so the Serendipity (first white) was light and refreshing, but their best one are the ciders -- I especially liked the Raspberry Hard Cider and Spiced Apple. Attended a wedding at this beautiful venue, and was super impressed with the level of detail by staff and convenient accommodations for a wedding venue. Large bar area, large parking area, outdoor area for cocktail hour, and designated "getting ready" areas. Only con is it's a little out of the main downtown area so it was a bit difficult to summon an Uber/Lyft to an area hotel at the end of the night. read more

This is a cute little winery in Newtown, PA. The place has a nice venue space for wedding and such. We went on a random Wednesday. The place was empty. It was nice that they had a tasting room to experience their wine. I think the set up as very weird however. The place looked like it was a converted garage with random mismatched furniture all over. I wish they would invest more in their tasting room. The service was nice. The server came out quickly to meet us after taking our orders. I didn't like how the place didn't let you bring food. I found that really weird (other wineries in PA let you do this). It is also weird that the wine came out in plastic cups instead of glasses (made it look cheap)! The wine was pretty good. While we were on our wine tasting tour. We were recommended to try Rose Bank Winery for their array of sweet wines. Sweet wines are my fav so I knew I was in for a treat! At the winery we were able to sample about 8 wines for the cost of 8.00. The staff were all very friendly and they kept us laughing the entire time of the wine tasting. The wineologist- I guess that's what there called lol showed my how to taste wine in a sophisticated way by holding the glass, shaking the wine a few times and giving it a smell! He also told me that the dessert wines are best sipped. At Rose Bank Winery I was also able to sample the most creative wines ever some to name were Red Sangria which was okay and a white wine called Vidal Blanc which was kinda dry with a pineapple hint. My favorite was this wine called cappavino which is a coffee wine it tasted just like coffee but with a slight wine buzz. I also liked rasberry secret which was a sweet wine that had a strong red rasberry taste and a hint of dark chocolate. I Lastly enjoyed this wine called chello which is basically lemonchello wine. Overall Rose bank winery is a large rustic style building that has an area for events such as weddings and parties. Their bathrooms are also clean and beautiful! Definitely visit Rose Bank winery if your into sweet wines trust me you will leave with a sugar high!! read more

Cute venue for our second wedding reception. I didn't work directly with the coordinator since my mother in law took care of all the details, but she seemed happy with how everything went. From what I could see, Rose Bank was accommodating and patient. There are several special event venues on this property, so it was a little confusing at first to find where we were supposed to be. Perhaps better signage? That was likely on us, but everyone got there. Sufficient parking without having to walk super far. Great spots to take photos inside and around the ballroom we were in. With the sunset lightning, it felt like a Disney movie. Overall I'd recommend Rose Bank for wedding functions. I don't recall having the wine, so that might call for another trip to Newtown. read more

Went here for a wedding and reception last evening. The facility was perfect. Wedding was upstairs in "the loft" which has a vaulted ceiling like a church and huge window overlooking the property. Then the reception was downstairs in a large room (this party had around 120 guests) and outside around the building (for appetizers and games). The catering service was quite good: everyone loved the food and servers were professional. At the bar, one could order mixed drinks, but we chose to sample wines bottled by this winery. These were superb, and so I wandered over to the nearby building which has a small store. The door was open, although most lights were off, and a charming, young woman named Liz was on a computer. She works for the winery and was there to insure that the wedding party did not get too wild and burn down the winery (JK). She proudly explained the history of Rose Bank Winery. Although the store was technically closed (after 8 pm), I asked her if I could purchase a few bottles of their wines that I sampled at the wedding party. She kindly opened a register and provided what I desired. In short, Rose Bank Winery is a great venue for a wedding, whether large or small, formal or informal, with wedding ceremony indoors or out. read more

My family and I have never been to a winery for a wine tasting and saw this local winery and decided to check it out! The grounds look beautiful!! Plenty of spaces for parking. We were not quite sure where to go to request the wine tasting. We originally walked into the wine tasting room, did not see any employees, and then walked to the gift shop (which is where you request/pay for the tasting). The employees were all super friendly. We were allowed to check off six different wines that we each wanted to try, and one of the employees would bring it out to our table. We also ordered a cheese/cracker plate, as well as wine slushies!! We ordered the Watermelon Rose. The presentation of the six wines was cute, all the cups were lined into a wooden board. I tried the Summer Sangria, Blueberry Wine, Rose, Red Raspberry, Vidal Blanc, and the Cappavino (coffee flavored wine with espresso extract). I thought the crackers and Swiss cheese were really good! As for the wine, my favorites were either the Vidal Blanc or the Raspberry! The wine slushies were a little smaller than I expected them to be but honestly I'm glad they were small because our group was already getting tipsy haha. They tasted a little too perfume-y in the beginning, but once it started to melt a little, it tasted a lot better! We had a great experience here!! read more

Rose Bank is such a lovely winery! It's dog friendly which is a huge plus. It's a lot bigger than it seems and there's plenty of outdoor seating. I did the wine tasting and was able to pick 6 wines to taste. Most of their wine is sweet which I'm not a huge fan of but I enjoyed it anyways. The pours were also very generous compared to other wineries. They also sell cheese plates in case you get hungry. My only complaint is that they didn't enforce social distancing inside the winery. To order wine and food, there's a room inside the building and it was pretty crowded when I was there. I had to keep my dog close to me because there was people all around us and they definitely weren't six feet apart from each other. The staff were all wearing masks but I just wish they would limit the amount of people that can go inside. Other than that, I would recommend Rose Bank if you're ever in the area! read more

Yum!! What a great weekend to try out the wine slushies! It was a hot day and there were some outdoor tables under the big trees. I tried both kinds of slushy this weekend. They had limoncello and watermelon wine slushies. They were so refreshing! The limoncello was a bit more tart and the watermelon was sweet, both were great. We also got a cheese plate with a few different cheeses, a spicy jam, some meats, and some crackers! Delish! I'd go every weekend and the slushies are only $5 for a small cup! read more

We chose Rose Bank Winery for our wedding on Labor Day, and it was a fantastic choice. Their staff was always helpful, the venue had everything our caterer needed to deliver a fantastic meal, and their alcohol policies are the best in the area. In reverse order: Alcohol policy. You can bring in outside beer and liquor. You have to use their wine, but they will BUY BACK any wine you don't drink! Anyone looking for a wedding venue will tell you: That is as good as it gets! Every bride & groom worries about guests running out of alcohol - we used Rose Bank as our "not gonna run out" insurance policy. We overbought on the wine, and when the night was over, they had someone on hand to tally up the unused bottles and they cut us a check a few days later. That's how you cut down on the alcohol costs of a wedding. (Plus, you get a significant multiple case discount (3+), so the bottles are actually cheap compared to anywhere else. We went with a standard white/rose/red split, and it worked out great.) Facilities: Your caterer will love you. This place has a kitchen, walk in coolers, prep area, etc. I've heard of couples wanting to get married in fields, on riverbanks, etc. and all I think to myself is...good luck prepping a three course meal plus apps and desert for 150 people in the middle of a field. It's stuff like that you don't realize is important, until you go through the whole process of shopping for venues. As far as aesthetics go, we were in the Vintner's Ballroom and Loft - You can't beat it. Even though it's the smaller of their two main event areas, it's actually quite big! We had 150 people and we didn't even need to use the loft area up above. FYI: the loft doubles as the backup ceremony site in case of rain, and of all the venues we looked at, it was the best indoor ceremony backup plan. In fact, the loft was a better indoor ceremony site than some of the other places OUTDOOR ceremony sites. (Did I mention they don't charge you to get married at their venue?) Speaking of which, the outdoor ceremony site was great! It was well taken care of, visually appealing, and 50 yards tops from the building...it's convenient. You can get married right there, stand outside the door and do the whole receiving line thing, then get everyone inside the barn to start boozing and having fun. The wood, the bar, the open spaces, the lights...it's cozy without being uncomfortable, but it also keeps your guests in one centralized spot. We had an area for a photo booth, a band, a dance floor and it was just right. when people wanted to get fresh air or take a breather, the tables and chairs on the front "patio" of the barn were perfect. You know who else is going to love you? Your photographer. We got pictures around the barn, by the house, by the vines, near the silo, by the well, etc. There are so many opportunities on the property to take beautiful pictures, that if your photographer can't deliver a memorable photo album to you, they should probably stop taking pictures professionally. There is also plenty of parking for guests, for shuttles/buses, etc. People WILL remember your wedding, because unlike all the country club or hotel reception areas which are cookie cutter, Rose Bank Winery has a unique feel and vibe. Finally, the staff was helpful and friendly. We came in a couple times in the past to taste wines for fun - whoever we got behind the counter was usually funny, personable and helpful. We actually needed to take the nets off the vines for pictures (ripe grapes are tasty treats for deer and birds) , and they accommodated our request and worked with us to make it happen. Our refund check for the wine got sent to an old address (we moved to Boston after we signed our contract) and they cancelled the old check and promptly mailed us a new check. Rose Bank also maintains an approved vendor list - if they get a complaint they kick that vendor off the list. That was insanely helpful - I honestly think the reason we ended up giving our vendors such positive Yelp reviews, is because Rose Bank Winery already went through the trouble of screening out the crappy ones. (My only feedback to them, is I wish they organized the vendors by price...we called some caterers and were like...um, no. I understand you're good, but those food prices are insanity. We did eventually find one on the list one who was reasonably priced and delivered out of this world food! I just wish we didn't have to call up the higher priced ones first.) TLDR: If we were to do it all again, we would pick the exact same place (Rose Bank), and the exact same spot (Vintner's Ballroom & Loft). That's about the highest praise I can offer, for such a lovely venue. read more

We were there for a bachelorette. The maid of honor was a little boisterous, the owner was concerned and asked us to take responsibility for her. We said we would, and the maid of honor volunteered to sit on our party bus as none of us were driving. The ownership still made us feel unwelcome. So we left. Won't be back. I had an absolutely lovely time here. The tasting room is a beautiful repurposed stone building. We enjoyed tasting several wines and bought a bottle of Sauv Blanc and some tasty pretzels and dipping sauce. It had poured earlier but we enjoyed a fresh bottle at a table under a scenic overhang. I will definitely return and there's something distinct about this Sauv Blanc that I really enjoyed. It's very dry and crisp but has a tiny hint of something vaguely floral. Easily one of my favorite local wineries. It's located in scenic bucks county, and has an array of wines from dry to sweet. They have some really interesting concoctions - chocolate orange port, spiced apple wine, to name a few. The port literally tastes like a tootsie pop and the apple wine is unreal. I'm a fan of sweet wines so I ALWAYS leave with a bottle of concord wine. It's $10, delicious, and literally tastes like grape juice. This is by far my favorite winery in the area. It actually hurts my soul a little that I didn't end up having my wedding here because it is so homey and beautiful. I come here often with friends to spend a few hours just walking around, sipping wine, eating fancy dips and just having a great time. A tasting here is absolutely free, which is just ridiculous. They have about 15 different wines out on display, and usually provide people with complimentary snacks like cheese or fancy crackers or fancy dips that they also sell. I tend to usually stock up on some warm apple cider wine, blueberry wine (this is the only place I have ever seen it) and sangria. Sadly I think there is better tasting wine in other vineyards nearby, but nothing beats this ambiance. The place is this gorgeous barn, lots of roomy space for your to walk around and just take your time with the tasting. There is plenty of parking and the place is open all year round so this is a great activity to do in the winter too. They have space downstairs for bigger groups if you want to hold a more formal lunch and then do the tasting and then of course they have really large spaces for weddings. RBW is clearly the crowd favorite for private and/or corporate events due to their expansive space, inviting external facade, and large amount of staff compared to other wineries. They also have a very large parking lot along with several open fields... For those that also want to have their slushies and smoothies, THIS would be the place for you. Overall, their wines weren't my favorite of the Bucks Country trip, lots of focus on fruit wines and sweet wines some of which were okay, others not so much. I've had much better in that region that really does a great job in these types of wines. Unfortunately, the wines don't hold up to their fantastic and expansive tasting room/building. We had a great fundraiser here at Rose Bank last night. The tasting barn is a wonderful indoor venue for a party of 100 people or more. The high ceilings and exposed beams still smell of cedar, and the stone floor and windows help create a perfect ambiance for a fun evening. Luckily for us, several of the best restaurants in Newtown pitched in with contributions of their popular dishes - La Stalla, Vecchia Osteria, Piccolo Trattoria, State Street Kitchen, Slack's Hoagie Shack, and Starbucks gave us more than enough food to keep us sated throughout the night. Kate Sotillie and Chuck Ball performed perfect accompanying music (she can really sing, and Chuck plays acoustic guitar with flash and style). Kings of Leon! Fleetwood Mac! Adele! Come on people!!! Yes, we did have a few obligatory comments offered by our County Commissioner, State Representative, and the "Two Tough Mother" candidates for Supervisor, but we did not allow the pols to take the air out of the huge room. Every table had a bottle of red, blush and white to enjoy, and about a dozen more for given away as door prizes.
