I called to get a refill on two prescriptions, and they never called me back. Then I called three times to deal with an appointment and was hung up on twice, before connecting with someone. They confirmed that Dr. Lin is not even in the Valencia location one time a month and set me up with another doctor who has just started there, Dr. Wang whom I was told was a dermatologist, but when I looked him up, he is an osteopath and a family medicine doctor. So I cancelled that appointment due to the misrepresentation and have found another local dermatology group. This is disappointing as I have gone to Dr. Lin for many years and am happy with him but this new group management is horrible. read more

I went to this office once to see Dr Ring. She is knowledgable and very nice. She had to put in for a request for an authorization for a skin biopsy. I asked the office staff to expedite the request for authorization since I have an active infection. I called the office after one week to check on the status of the authorization and they still have not submitted the request for authorization. they also told me it takes 2 weeks for insurance to process an authorization. So I asked the front desk why they waited so long to submit an authorization when they know insurance takes 2 weeks and I have an active infection. No answer. I am extremely disappointed. read more

Was looking for a highly recommended dermatologist and Dr. Lins's name came up. Problem #1: When I called the office, in order to get in to see him, I had to wait two months. I guess if you are in high demand, this is something you have to be willing to deal with. Problem#2: A week before my scheduled appointment, I was called and told that he could not keep the appointment and that I needed to reschedule. This was very frustrating as I had already been dealing with my issue for over a year. But, what could I do, other than wait another week. Problem #3: When I went into his office the first time, I sat in the waiting room for at least 20 minutes followed by another 15 to 20 minutes in the patient room. Again, what choice did I have. He came highly recommended so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. When Dr. Lin came in, he was very professional, evaluated my issue, wrote a prescription, and was out in 5 minutes. Problem #4: when I returned for my follow up, I was in the waiting room for 30 minutes. When I went up to the receptionist, I was told that he was far behind and they could not tell me when he would be able to see me. I get it, he is highly sought after and extremely busy. However, if you can't keep your appointments and make the time to see patients when they are scheduled, maybe you need to cut back on the number of patients you are seeing. I just find it very rude and disrespectful to not honor the appointment time that we are given, especially if you're charging people $100 if they don't show up to your appointments!!! read more

Bottom line, I don't feel like they care and it makes me sad to be honest. I was hoping to have a better experience here, but unfortunately that isn't the case. This has been my experience and I have been going here for over a year: 1)They are very hard to get a hold of. You only speak to a message center, and cannot call the office directly. I have been trying to get my medical records and it has been a very frustrating task. I emailed them 2 weeks ago and have heard nothing. I called and filled out a form and have heard nothing. However, when I messed up the telemed payment in August they emailed me immediately to get that resolved. Go figure. 2)I wish they had a patient portal where I could access my records, and that their hours were better updated online. Who knew they were closed Wednesdays? I didn't. None of that is posted. 3) You can't get an appointment for months. This is a HUGE problem. Like I said, I don't feel they care. And when it is something as fragile and valuable as your health you want a doctor who cares. You want to be a name and a face and not a number. read more

This place is not worth even looking at. All of the employees I have dealt with are completely incompetent. Can't get scheduling billing or even basic information correct. Not to mention if you have to have any work done even though they will tell you they are in network make sure to check that. The doctor is in network but the center they use for procedures is not. I had a great experience with Tessie the NP and Dr. Lin. I've had some skin rashes for a while and they were getting worse. The NP took the time to listen, gave me her suggestions, biopsies one of the rashes and for my piece of mind, she got the doctor to come in and give his second opinion. Unacceptable. I waited months for an appointment w Dr Lin specifically. A few weeks before long awaited appt I was informed he isn't seeing regular derm patients and his PA would, disappointment #1! Next, I checked multiple times they were in my Tier 1 network w my insurance (copay $10) which they assured me they were, as did my insurance. When I was finally there, naked in a paper gown, in a freezing room, billing came in and said my visit would be close to $400!! She explained they are not in tier 1 network and not affiliated with Dignity Health medical group (under Anthem blue cross) . after a back and forth over the phone w my insurance and her, I decided to not take my chances and leave. She assured me the visit would be deleted and no charges would be filed. Fast forward a few months and my insurance was billed that ~$400 and I owe a $10 copay- so they are in my Tier 1 network and my shit didn't get taken care of!!! ! So she lied, she doesn't know what insurance they take, and I never got my issues taken care of- so a delay of care. She said it happens to patients all the time and they are stuck w the bill. Seems really shady and unprofessional. The PA also wasn't very friendly, just down to business and cold, barely spoke to me. Like money, respect has to be earned. But unlike money, you can't get it by being dishonest. This review is a long overdue! I hate a dishonest doctor, thankfully I don't have many. It's hard enough finding a good doctor but one with integrity is a good start. Originally I came in to see Dr. Lin about wanting to try some facial treatments. I asked about peels and other special treatments he provided. He told about a treatment called The Matrix. He said he would do this service on my face and that it would help my skin look better. He quoted me $400. A few months later I went into his office because I was ready to do The Matrix. On the front desk there was a huge sale sign with all their deals. It stated The Matrix that was normally $400 but was now on sale for $200. When I told the girls I was coming for The Matrix they honored the $200. When the doctor came in to do the procedure he said I see you only paid $200 but I quoted you $400. He then told me I had to pay the other $200. I asked him about the sale and he said well that's because they're not turning up the machine very high. That the one for $200 is just lower heat on the face. Really? You're just gonna turn the machine on lower even though it cost you the same money you're going to do a crappy job on people paying less. I don't think so. Later I called and spoke with the office manager, who told me that I should've paid $200 and it's the same exact procedure so she confirmed to me that the doctor in fact had lied and she doesn't know why they did that to me. (she said that in different words of course, but she just said they should've honored the $200 because it's the same treatment). A few weeks later when I called her, she no longer worked there, I wonder why. Also, I bought eye cream from him which was over $100 and it smelled old and rancid. When I told the office they gave me another one but that one also smelled old and rancid. How could they sell expired products! This place is disgraceful. Unethical, dishonest, and money hungry is all I can say about Dr Lin. He seems to have a large clientele so I don't know why he is trying to suck every dollar out of his clients. It's pretty sad and I definitely won't be back. NOTE- I posted my review at the Encino and Valencia office, since I have been seen and treated at both locations by Dr. Lin. read more

I was seen by Dr. Lin couple of times to resolve some facial dark spots and uneven skin tone and wrinkles. He took his time listening and figuring out the best course of action for my sensitive skin and my lifestyle. He was thorough finding out about my medical conditions. We chose to do IPL laser treatments in the office and fading cream at home. It has been three months and my face is clear and spot free. I also notice great improvement in reduction of fine lines and wrinkles and overall texture. I am very happy with results. I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Lin and his hard working staff. Yes, they are a very busy practice and sometimes there is a little wait, but good things are worth waiting for! I came here to get a mole removed and i actually had a very good experience despite my fears after reading past yelp reviews. I chose Dr. Lin from a list of dermatologist that were in Network with my Insurance, and he was one of the few in the area that was actually board certified. Although other dermatologists in the area had better reviews on yelp, they weren't board certified. (Not sure what criteria is required to be certified, but it just sounded more reassuring that Dr. Lin was) I took a chance and scheduled an appointment after calling to confirm they accepted my insurance. Scheduling was simple and straight forward. When they called the day before to confirm my appointment, I inquired about my possible costs and they let me know what my copay would be and how much I should expect to pay for my mole removal so I wouldn't have any outrageous surprises. I had almost met my annual deductible so the cost sounded reasonable to me. The office was easy to get to and parking was sufficient. The office is very clean and esthetically inviting. The receptionists were very friendly and the paperwork was standard. (There's a page that asks for your payment info and and authorization to automatically charge it once billed - I asked the receptionist and this was an optional page, so I chose not to sign it) The wait was a little bit longer than I would have liked, since I brought my son with me, but it wasn't outrageous. Dr. Lin was pretty straight to the point. He examined my mole, gave me my options, and did what he had to do once I gave him my consent. It's been a few weeks since and it's healed very nicely. The office also called to let me know that the results of the biopsy and all is well and everything is okie dokie with insurance. Overall, my experience was not bad so if I have any other dermatological concerns, I would probably come back here. read more

This place should really have a lawsuit against them. I had a mole removed that was thought to be cancerous. I paid the bill at the front and they said there was nothing else that I would have to pay. No extra fees and I was assured that my bill was paid in full. Even my boyfriend heard it. Few weeks later I get a bill saying I owe $150 extra just to throw the mole away. Literally it is to destruct the mole and extra fees it says on my new bill. DO NOT go here. Listen to these reviews! I love this place! I came across it when my medical group was too booked for me to see a dermatologist. I had a couple moles removed then. Now I see Dr. Lin on a regular basis to have my Dysport done. He is very funny and really patient with me as sometimes I have to bring my toddler with me. The staff is super friendly. I would recommend Dr. Lin to everyone. He always asks me how much I want to spend which is nice so I'm not surprised with a bill that is huge after my appointment. I really like that about him. The second time it happened, I left without being seen and the front desk didn't apologize or even blink. It's like it's par for the course for them. My diagnosis was skin cancer, but I never could reach anyone by phone to discuss further, to get an appointment for treatment, or to get the lab results. I came to this dermatologist because I was referred by my primary care doctor. I left feeling unheard. The whole process was rushed, I didn't feel like my concerns were truly addressed, and I didn't see an actual doctor, just one of the many PA's that work there. Prescribing a medication for acne when I'm telling you I have a hormonal issue indicates there's something bigger. And maybe you could HELP get to the bottom of it by running a test. Instead, you passed the buck BACK to my PCP and endocrinologist and gave me antibiotics. Is this Linage Aesthetics and Wellness or Advance Dermatology?... because the door and poster behind the desk says Advance Dermatology, but I called for an appointment at Linage, and I was placed in a Linage room? How incredibly confusing. Made an appointment because I was in severe pain for what I thought was a pilonidal cyst (had all symptoms of such). Had an appointment for 3:30pm, waited 30 minutes and didn't get to see anyone until 4:15pm, so I was a tad irritated. I was already irritated that the three front desk staff members didn't care that another customer in the waiting room had two kids screaming bloody murder the entire time. Anyhow... Dr. Linda said she would have no problem looking into the cyst which was located at the middle of my butt-crack, and excruciatingly painful. I have extreme PTSD about needles of any form. She looked, and immediately wanted to cut open the cyst to see what contents it had. I said I was not going to be cut open right then and there as I didn't expect the situation to unfold that quickly. She then proceeded to "kindly" guilt trip me into getting cut open instead of taking antibiotics. Mind you, the pain was so bad I couldn't drive or sit. I had someone drive me and I've been completely immobile for a week at this point. She prescribed me the antibiotics like I had insisted after she guilt tripped me into her trying to cut the infection open. She wanted me back the next day to see if the antibiotics did anything. WHAT? How much can an antibiotic do in 24 hours? Always wait 72 hours for oral antibiotics to see if they are working or not. She was also touching the infection with no gloves. Just rub the infection all over my lower back and shoulder. No big deal right? (Eye roll). The pain grew worse, and I developed a 104 fever. so I went to the Emergency Room and they admitted me to the hospital to stay. It was never a pilonidal cyst, as my two CT Scans showed it was an extremely dangerous case of cellulitis. Cutting it open would have made the wound septic (deadly). I would never trust Dr. Linda again, as she clearly only goes off what the patients say without personal research. If I had let this woman cut me open, the situation would have been seriously worse. Unprofessional. All that schooling to get the degree(s) in this profession to guilt trip and assume symptoms. It's been 2 weeks since this visit, and I'm thankful I never proceeded to the procedure. Also, hope you never get cellulitis on your lower back/butt. It is the most painful thing you could ever experience, and carries a dangerous infection. read more

I just love coming to this office. From entering the door & seeing Shawna greet me to the wonderful nursing staff to Dr. Lin and Layla (PA) providing the services. I've been coming here for Botox for the last 5 or so years. When I first started coming, I was nervous because I didn't want to look fake or like I was fighting aging too much. Dr. Lin and Layla both have been very conservative with my injections and always take time to listen to EXACTLY what I want and don't want. I am so happy with the results!
