After going here for 8 solid months and never missing a class I have to say this place is lacking the teaching aspect. What is really being taught if you do the same things each week? Nothing Kids get bored quickly and that is what is happening at this location for toddler classes. Before we leave I wanted to try other places in the area for my son's age group & Cypress academy on huffmeister is definitely serious about teaching toddlers as well as all ages. I contacted ASI so they can maybe look at what's happening here. I know if this was my facility I would want to know what was going on with all the people leaving. read more

We've had nothing but positive experience at ASI. It's a clean, well-lit facility with kids grouped by age & skill in class. We've had our 3-year old here for 9 months. She has fun when she comes and that's what matters at this age. She's also developing balance and confidence faster than most kids in her school class. It's a stimulating environment that doesn't smell like dirty feet a'la some other local gymnastic facilities. The activities in class are age-appropriate and will give kids general physical exercise and coordination development. Plus, it'll burn a lot of that energy off. We also had her 3rd Birthday here and they scored 5-stars on that. The whole facility was "ours" for the time we had schedule (90 minutes if memory serves) and the coaches were awesome, keeping the kiddos engaged the entire time. We've found the staff to be great, fair, and handle the kids well. Just have realistic expectations. Don't expect your kid to become the next Shawn Johnson or Nastia Liukin here, especially with the nominal fees that are charged. The majority of the coaches are young and athletic, have a love for their sport and for sharing it with others. We will likely try the new Cypress Academy location when it opens if we see a competitive desire in our munchkin. In the meantime, ASI provides a great outlet for some fun exercise. read more

Very dissatisfied with the level of service. I had to cancel my daughter's birthday party in less than a week after signing up. They are refusing to give me my money back! I will NEVER give this company one cent! The corporate office is ridiculous. Also, NO WHERE listed on their website is the no refund policy!!!! When I am able to sign my daughter up for gymnastics, she will be using cypress academy! They have yet to give me a corporate office number although I asked repeatedly, and was given a number to "member services". I called again and left a message 22 hours ago, no call back. I wanted to switch my "credit" to my niece and they told me no because it was too much. After yelling and screaming for 16 mins, they finally approved that. The management and policies are awful. From the very top (owner of all ASI locations, David Holley) to every manager in between, and down to the manager in training (Gabby) at the Cypress location where my daughter has been going since this location opened have absolutely NO respect for their customers. My daughter was on the team with 4 other amazing girls who became best friends and family to her. She had the BEST coach. The team moms wanted to have a meeting with Gabby on Friday 3-15-19 to discuss a confusing email we all received about the level our girls would be working towards for the next season. The girls' coach was in the meeting as well. We expressed all of our concerns and told her how much the coach for our girls meant to them. She couldn't answer any of our questions herself because she didn't know the answers, but told us she would talk to the higher ups about everything. We left somewhat feeling better about next season for our girls. But the very next day we got a phone call from a different manager at another location who wasn't even at our meeting to let us know that they decided to fire our girls' coach and that our girls' season was over and not to come back. Everything that they have worked for was taken away from them. We have 5 heartbroken girls that ASI could care less about! My husband and I reached out to David Holley via email and his own personal Facebook page. He has yet to even open the message. They do not care for any of these children!! This is my only experience with a gymnastics facility so I am only comparing them to my experiences with other youth sports that my children have participated in. For one, the gym is ran by extremely young people who seem to be teenagers. Also, because the staff are mostly teenagers, they are constantly changing/switching coaches. The front desk people are generally rude and make mistakes which caused me to be overcharged :( When I realized that they made a mistake, the person over the phone was less than helpful in correcting the mistake and also said that the mistake was my fault. No! I'm sorry that your employees are not capable of correctly handling a transaction. Another big issue that I have with them is they don't evaluate and move the kids up and a timely manner. I feel like its more just for fun. I am all for fun but I also want to see progress and improvement. On a positive note, the gym is new, clean, and huge. From my experience, Coach David, Coach Molly, and Coach Chris are really good. Most of the coaches are very nice and will speak to you briefly if you have any questions. I would not recommend ASI Cypress location. We started at this location summer of 2014 when they opened. We have watched customer service decline and recent management fail to answer questions and solve problems. Our daughter has been on Team since 2016. She has loved being on Team even though she experienced 5 different coach changes over 3 years. Just over two weeks ago we received a phone call from a person that works at the ASI Woodlands location (not someone from ASI Cypress) to tell us they let our coach go and that they had no back up coach or plan to find anyone for our Team girls, so their season was over!!!! They had 3 more meets to compete in to finish season including State meet that they qualified for. It is mind boggling to me that the ASI Cypress manager wasn't the person to call us to let us know she had let our coach go and ended our girls season. This is so unprofessional and heartless the way ASI Cypress handled the Team girl's season. This gym over the years has shown over and over that they don't care about the people or kids at this gym, it is about the numbers and money. I personally will not spend anymore of our hard earned dollars at ASI Gymnastics. Our coach this season was great with the girls, he really pushed them and helped them grow in their skills!!! We are not sure why they let him go in middle of the season. Each of our girls on Team earned medals at every meet this past season. He was doing a great job!!! read more

ASI Cypress has trained my daughter for over 5 year, she is on team level 3 gymnastics and has become a high scoring all around gymnast. The coaches are professional and very friendly, which is reflected in her team winning 1st place more than 4 times this season. Super Proud, grateful parents. read more

We love ASI! We started our daughter at 18mths in the Tiny Tots class which was a parent and me class. It was a great bonding experience for which ever one of us took her that week. She is now 3 and I'm the tiny tots level 2 where she goes by herself. To say she LOVES it is an understatement. I asked her today what was her favorite dance, gymnastic, or swimming and without hesitation she said GYMNASTICS!! We also had her 2nd birthday party here and everyone who attended gave compliments on how well they did with the kids and how much fun everyone had. Nastiest gym or better to refer to as High dollar day care for kids to jump around and bunch of teenagers that have no idea about Gymnastics and I hardly believe that any of the teachers have had any training or professional knowledge about gymnastics . I see teachers push on childs spine by grabbing them by their ankles while children are standing on their hands . I pray to God that none of the children get hurt by untrained ASI Gymnastics teachers , my daughter goes there, something happens to her there God forbid someone will be responsible and their life wont worth nothing in the future. I gave a 1 star rating only because I couldn't give a 0. Please stay far away from this gym. My daughter had been there since 2015. She was currently on team, with the most amazing coach and teammates, who became a family. She loved ASI. However, the management at this gym now is the absolute worst I have ever seen. The "manager", Gabrielle, has no customer service skills. There is no taking responsibility for anything, complete lack of knowledge and inability to answer any questions and anything she doesn't want to handle, she passes off to others. She lies to your face. There is no training or preparing coaches for higher team levels. Upper management is just as bad. They display favoritism towards gymnasts and coaches and let their animosity towards coaches keep gymnasts from advancing, instead of acting like professional adults and our girls were victims of this. To top it off, two days ago, our girls coach was fired unjustly, after what was supposed to be a simple meeting between team parents, the "manager" and coach. There was no investigation whatsoever into the situation, which involved 8 people. They took only the word of the incompetent, lying "manager" and we come to find out, she isn't actually the manager, but manager in training. Where was the actual manager when it all took place? She was only there to call and simply tell us "Your coach is no longer with the gym and we have no other coach for your girls so their season is over." They did nothing to try and keep our girls. The meeting occurred on Friday and by Saturday at noon, they had fired him and called us. They want us to believe that in less than 24 hours, they had tried everything they could for our girls. Lies and more lies. Our girls were in the middle of competition season and were just tossed away, leaving them completely devastated and heartbroken. This is not acceptable. This is not how you run a company. They do not care about the kids, only themselves and their money. They are selfish and heartless. read more

Awesome Experience !! My daughters 4th birthday party Sunday afternoon. Facility: Clean, new, top notch, complete. Price. For a 90 minute party seemed a bit steep but it is not - TOTALLY WORTH IT , I need to go back and tip the TWO amazing coaches that hosted the party. They unload the car, set up decorations and tables as directed, fulfill all requests, greet parents and give direction, fully entertain the kids for full hour in gym - all tailed to include all kids and tailor to all ages. Entertaining for parents, blast for each kid. The remaining half hour I was so impressed with the Coaches that cut cake, participated in the kids activities, served all parents, made it really fun for the birthday girl with lots of special attention and awareness. I like the place. My girls love to tumble so they enjoy being here and the bars and beams are an added enjoyment. My only complain would be the female coaches. I do not believe that they are truly evaluating the kids are grooming them for the next level but just playing with them. I do not pay tuition for them to play. My girls came in new to this gym but not new to gymnastics. I asked on several times when could they test to move up and the coach says they aren't ready need more work. One makeup session with a male coach and he recommended my girls move up. Saying this level is doing nothing for them they already perfected these moves. Scheduled them for evaluation on the spot and now they are silver instead of bronze. read more

Our experience at ASI Gymnastics started out as a positive one. Our 2 young children enrolled and really enjoyed their first month of classes. We especially appreciate it that they were very accommodating with our special needs son. They offered private lessons before the gym opened so that he could have a quiet space with you were distractions and the schedule was working great. We did have some communication issues regarding their drop policy when our daughter was dropped without notice. We were notified that a payment was due and when we showed up to the next class to pay her spot had already been filled. We did get a call on the same day to explain what had happened and they were able to secure the same spot in the same class. The end result worked out, but being turned away unexpectedly was upsetting. read more

If you're looking for inconsistency, this is your place. After going to classes for 8 weeks, we've had 6 different teachers. We originally chose this gym since it was one of the newer ones, and we liked the coach that we signed the twins up for. In almost 2 months, the twins have only seen their "assigned coach" twice. If we knew it was a rotation of coaches with no consistency, we would have chosen another gym. Since we're trying to get the twins to trust people/teachers/coaches/etc, with new faces & new teaching techniques every week, my twins refuse to participate half the time. I've withdrawn one of the kids, and as soon as the other child's enrollment is over, we will not be continuing. What an incredible waste of time, money, and energy. Edit: I've had 2 representative contact me after my original review, and after discussion, they have credited my twins 3 extra weeks due to my twins not participating because of new faces every week. I understand that while companies cannot control the personal lives of their employees and whether or not they show up for work, it would have been appreciated if they tried to make classes more consistent. However, they did reach out, so brownie points for trying. While I appreciate the effort, and it seems they are willing/trying to work with us, I will leave it to my 3 year olds if they want to continue. read more

We started at ASI when my son was 12 months old he will be 2 in a few months. It was okay until about Sept/Oct, then I noticed so many coaches leaving. The quality of the class really went down hill. There isn't really any instruction which is Extremely dangerous on some equipment. The coaches just basically move them from one activity to the next but dont show us what to do it's like all they do is move us around and chit chat with each other. They dont even do any new activites. My son was moved up to the next level early and I had Hope's that would be better but it's not. The class is a free for all, with no structure the kids run wild. It also makes me extremely nervous about how often new coaches come in. They are all very young and there seems to be no real training and I dont think most of them even have a background in gymnastics. I actually taught my son to front roll based on my gymnastics background. They dont even teach basic stuff like donkey kicks anymore. In the beginning they did but now it's not even like a gymnastics class. Another thing is I paid a head for months, because of my job I only get paid lump sums once a month so I asked the girl who was working in front of I could pay ahead she said yes it would just sit in my account. I asked her if we decided to leave could I get my money refunded she said yes of course because it wasn't autopay. So once September I stopped paying ahead because I noticed the classes going down hill. We joined cypress academy but I had 2 months left on my account. I asked for my money back and the refused to give it back. This is shady business behavior because there is no reason not to return it like I was told it would be. They haven't invested anything or put up money for my sons classes so not returning the money makes no sense. The girl who originally told me that of course doesn't work there anymore. We have one class left and we decided it's not even worth going to it. My son has taken 4 classes at cypress academy and in those 4 classes his gymnastics skills have improved immensely. The coaches actually give instructions for the equipment every single time, they demo them and help teach you how to spot your child. The structure is amazing and they change up the actives every single class. I am not one to normally leave bad reviews but the lack of safety really bothers me. I can't speak for all locations but cypress is awful. Corporate really needs to go down and watch the classes at this location even some of the older kids classes the coaches are just sitting down talking while the kids run wild. I've heard many parents complain to one another about it. The fact that the prices went up too is ridiculous. Try little gym or cypress academy because this place isn't worth it. read more

Our youngest son had a birthday party two weeks ago and they made the day just as special for me as they did my son. They unloaded my car, decorated, and more. I'm very disappointed with the head coach / manager of this gym my daughter is on team and is being bullied and I spoke with her and she said to me in front of my child to go find another gym. My child broke out in tears and the coach has no remorse for what she said. She told me that the other kid was being bullied at school and that she is ADHD and she takes medication for it, my response was that still doesn't give the fact that my child is getting bullied by her. No, no, and no. I was a gymnast here, and we had many more talented gymnast. I remember that we had great coaches until SOMEONE fired the best coaches. A WHOLE TEAM OF GIRLS WERE LEFT WITHOUT A COACH TO COACH THEM! And my team needed a 'loaned' coach from another gym to finish the season at this gym! I've moved to another gym, which is much, MUCH, better. I'd give this gym 0 stars, because I hate it. Coach- what was her name? I hated her. I think Gabby? Coach Gabby. One of my friends had her, she taught nothing. Didn't even tell you when you did something wrong. I was there for a while, and never got my round off backhandspring on floor. Guess what! When I moved gyms, I got it in the second month. And what else? I also got a backtuck! AND, I've improved greatly on bars, beam, and vault. Hey, what does that mean? The gym I'm at now is way better than ASI Cypress. It's not that I hate the gym, it's that I hate the manager. Do not, I repeat, do not send your kids here. They'll be crying when their coach is fired randomly. Another thing is, when I was there, the coaches they used to replace the good coaches could not spot. I always had marks when someone's long, acrylic nails entered my back and shoulder. Don't spot with long nails, Betty. Me and my friend were laughing when we say the new level 1 girls, and we felt sorry for them. All they want is money! I feel incredibly sorry for the older girls though. They were really talented, and I remember watching them, wanting to be like them. It makes me sad that they lost everything because of Gabby. AGAIN, I hate Gabby. One of the best coaches, ( Coach Todd ), was fired, and me and all of my team were very sad. But then, our coach was fired. ( Coach Justin. ) ( Both of them had been my coach at one point, including Coach J. ) When our coach was fired, we had to finish out the season with a coach from ASI Woodlands, and we wouldn't be able to compete our next season. It was heartbreaking, because I thought ASI had become my 'Home gym'. I thought it would be the place I came everyday, to see my best friends. I bought a groupon to try this place out before deciding to enroll my 16 month old. They only have 3 classes and 2 of them are on Friday evening. We went with the wed morning class. My daughter woke with a nasty cold on wed. I called to schedule a makeup. Brittany "the manager" said I could not schedule a makeup after our paid 4 weeks so we would have to go to a Friday class. This doesn't work for us. The other option she gave was to buy another month at full price and continue going until my daughter turns 2 (8 months from now) and then we could schedule her makeup class when they have more scheduled classes. We are only enrolled for one month so apparently there system won't let them schedule anyone after the enrollment period. To extend our enrollment by one week would have been a logical solution, but they will not do this. Seems to me they just want to take your money and do as little as possible to make any accommodations. We will be going somewhere else after this month is over. I came to the gym to watch my niece who didn't want to come that night. Only if I would come watch. I have only had experience at Cypress Academy. Your gyms are night and day. From the parents sitting on your unorganized seating where you have parents that lean against the next row. So if you sit there you get attitude. I can promise you that if anyone ask my opinion of your gym. I will tell them that it is a high dollar babysitting gym. Because there is zero instruction. Hello. If I could I would rate this 0 stars. I use to be a gymnast at ASI. I was in level 2. I moved gyms and here's why: Me and my team were very close. We were best friends. We loved our coach. BUT, one day we came and our Coaches informed us they were getting fired! One coach said that he was going to quit, and that Coach Gabby hadn't fired him yet. The next practice, He told us he was getting fired too. All of my team cried. Along with losing our Coaches there were also no coaches for us to train with in level 3! Our moms voiced their concern at the front desk. They said we'll just have to leave. WE'LL JUST HAVE TO LEAVE?! No, 'Oh I'm sorry, we're working on that'. ONLY A 'YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO LEAVE'. So me, (With my big mouth) said, 'Well, you'll be losing a lot of money.' And suddenly she says the problem can be fixed. HA. I didn't want to stay at that gym without my favorite coaches anyways! At my new gym, I feel like I've unlocked more talent then I ever had at ASI. Coach Gabby, Who I H- Dislike greatly is the manager. My child had a trial class which went well. Upon returning, I wanted to sign my child up for classes. The young lady at the desk was on the phone-for over 10 minutes-and when she finally acknowledged my presence was extremely rude and not helpful in anyway. Ultimately, I agree with the bad reviews. The attitude of some of the front desk staff-the faces that can make or break your business-need great improvement. I would not recommend this gymnastic facility solely based on poor customer service. read more

I have been told my 4 yr old couch that she needs to start to a higher level. that made me believe that if i don't want to we don't continue i went about my daily life. this happened back in May 17th 2016. couple of mouths later some one called me and told mt that I need to get online to drop my kid so that they wont keep charging my credit card. Little I know they were still charging my account. when I asked when and why was her last day. they kept saying they need talk to coach and will call me back. Couple of weeks later they called back with no information. I dropped her off the system on Aug 22th. I have been promised that i will get a refund but nothing yet. Also the management is very poor. Young, high tempered. They are not willing to help. I do not recommend ASI to anyone. There are much more professional places you can take your kids for both you and your kids benefit. I have to day Coach Chelsie was nice to my daughter and thought her like the class. I give them 5 stars to compensate the other reviewers. It's a new gym place, what can you expect as far as the young coaches and lack of good management or customer service. But, from my point of view for the PRE-SCHOOLERs, this place is awesome! New place means new and clean equipments and restrooms. No bad odor for sure! (Some of you might already know to which place I'm referring to). For pre-schooler beginners (like my daughter), for parents (like me) who don't have high hopes for your kids, who just want to see if your kid "fit in" gymnastics or not, or just to get your kids to have some (indoor) sport, have some sweat and fun.. Then, this the BEST place for you! And it's all about finding the BEST coach, of course. I'd recommend you to have a little patience and when your kid is promoted to level 2 Kidz Gym, then go for coach Payton Brown. He is so much fun and will get your kid to the max! He coaches tumbling for big kids, too. By the way, I always see ALL of the pre-schoolers is working hard. No sitting around for sure. Same thing for their summer camps, too. I see they have many fun games that make your kids move and not getting bored! Both of my daughters love to go to their camps better than the other place. They said the kids are so much nicer, too. I will commend Coach CeCe who is actually wonderful with the 3 year olds - however too many others that are there to work a part time job and are impatient with the kids. I called to complain about a bad session I had and unfortunately only ended up speaking with another teenager who sounded disinterested and impatient. Our teacher was nice, but I don't feel my son learned much while he was here (appox. 1 year), but my real concern came in the inappropriate relations that occurred between a staff member and my husband. As a professional, I don't feel like you should engage conversations with parents outside of what pertains to the children. It turned into awkwardness for me to even attend my child's class and I just find it disrespectful. She wasn't even my son's teacher, so she had no business being in that area. Also I do wish the staff would be more friendly, at the end of the day this is a customer service industry, it would be nice to be greeted, acknowledged, even smiled at ... SOMETHING .. when you come through those doors. If the front desk girls are on the phone they will absolutely not even acknowledge your existence until they have hung up the phone, did what they were going to do and have reset themselves, and even at that point you feel like a bother to them. I feel if the phone is such a bother, maybe it should be answered in the glass room behind the front staff where there are always people sitting, or have one of the front desk girls answer phones in there strictly and have the other front desk girl deal solely with parents in the facility. I am switching my son to a place about the same distance from our house, but even on our trial day .. WAY nicer people, very helpful, explaining exactly what they were doing the whole way through, and well, to be frankly honest, WAY better equipped facility. I do feel ASI could have potential, my sister in law went to the one in Cypress and they were AMAZING up there when she was there. But I feel the staff needs a real overhaul or training on customer service. read more
