Awful, extremely disappointing. Used to go to this location all the time for Peking Palace but there was a change in management/staff. Didn't know what to expect so decided to give it a shot. Not only was the staff unbearably impatient, rude, Unaccommodating, and just downright rude, the food also sucked and was cold in the middle, like they just reheated their leftovers or something. I was just asked for a tip after receiving a very bad service, I have been coming to this place for years and after today I don't think I'll be going back there. What a terrible experience and embarrassment I received. I have it all on video, I don't think I will post but there was another individual in the restaurant who felt so bad and embarrassed for me , not sure if she was video taping but her phone was in recording mode. I ordered some food for delivery, soy sauce was not provided and the food didn't have any taste whatsoever (which is really hard for Chinese food not to have any taste). The only reason I ordered from here was because it was the only place open late-ish. Definitely not worth the price. read more

So. Get this! I've been ordering delivery from this restaurant for years, even just as close as 2 weeks ago, but, all of a sudden, they don't deliver here. The woman on the phone said they had a new owner and no longer deliver to me. Wait, I said, within the last two weeks?! No, she said, but we don't deliver there... OMG really!? On August 18,2017 Me and my family were dinning in we had to ask for straws & we still didn't get them we had to grab some from the front counter. We even had to ask for forks!!! The waitress was even sitting in the back for long periods of time!! We even had to keep asking for our drinks, instead she brought us a bill. Asia café is a local strip center Chinese restaurant that used to be across the street where the new CVS pharmacy is now located. Their main business seems to be carryout which is ordered over the phone, or ordered over their countertop. I don't think the staff has much experience with dine in customers. The food here is ok, they have a decent lunch special which includes a drink (non alcoholic), and choice of rice. They are nice enough to allow me to substitute my drink for a bowl of soup. The hot & sour soup is good, good egg roll, decent fried rice. I like the beef with string beans, beef Szechuan, chicken dynasty style, combination lomein is very average, chicken with garlic sauce is ok, and there are several other dishes I have tried over some time. Nothing fancy here at all, your basic booth, or table/chairs setup. No ambiance to speak of, there is two flat screen TV's on the walls. The consistency of the food, preparation, and how it's cooked will vary depending on what day of the week you come in. I've experienced some pretty wide variances over time. Let me be more specific, sometimes the food is prepared with enough sauce, other times it is not. Other times it can be made very watered down, and not have the right consistency. I don't like my Chinese food on the dry side especially when the dish is made with a sauce which adds taste, and flavor to the style of dish being prepared. For example Szechuan style, Hunan style, Dynasty style, garlic sauce, orange sauce, sesame sauce, or sweet & sour sauce. Ok, you get what I'm trying to say here, the sauce is the boss! It literally makes or breaks the dish! They do have very neighborhood friendly prices, which in reality are on par with the quality of their very average Chinese cuisine! read more

I used to come here for years when it was near the jiffy lube or where the CVS is now. Once they moved their quality became very poor. I won't ever be going back because of the poor quality noodle as and rice. They seem to buy mass amounts of noodles and rice for very cheap, that taste bad, and sell them off as full price. I just hope they get the quality back up where it used to be. read more

Best general tso's chicken I've ever had! I also tried their wonton and egg drop soup and it was super fresh and flavorful. Pretty sure this place is the best carry out Chinese food I've ever eaten! The staff are very welcoming and nice, plus the free tea is a plus :) ask them for a to go cup for tea if you get carry out and they'll give you one! Great place. read more

Overheard the clerk telling another customer that they are under new management and they must have new cooks too :( I ordered a combination fried rice and an orange chicken for lunch. The chicken was extremely chewy. I called to complain, they apologized and offered to replace it. Now for the combination fried rice: it was very oily (more than usual) and it tasted like lard or something similarly disgusting but by the time I tasted it, I had already hung up and complained about the chicken. To call this food vile would be a compliment! To call it "Chinese" would simply be a lie, not to mention an insult to the Chinese people and the great food culture they represent! This was quite simply the worst (allegedly) Chinese food I have ever tasted. I asked the man behind the counter if the Kung Pao Chicken contained celery (celery is my Kryptonite). He said no. Good! I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken lunch special to go. After a long wait in an almost empty restaurant, my order arrived. I then had to remind the man that the lunch special includes a can of soda. Upon arriving at my desk I discovered the dish was LOADED with, you guessed it... CELERY! After picking out all traces of the vile substance, I realized what the dish didn't have; Szechuan Peppers (a quintessential ingredient for Kung Pao Chicken). It was also quite lacking in chicken. At this point I was too hungry to care. Then I tasted it. FEH! It was some chicken, vegetables, and a generic MSG-laced brown sauce. I ate 10% of it. The rest went where it belonged; in the trash. I learned of Asia Cafe from neighbors. We love their food. Excellent selection and preparation. We have picked up a few times and the resturant is very nice (with a lovely background painting). Mostly, we call for delivery, which is always prompt! My housemate and I have ordered from Asia Cafe for years. No complaints! read more

It was good, we got the steak and cheese egg rolls, the healthy choice shrimp with vegetables and the brown sauce, and shrimp with string beans. We got fried rice with chicken for free. The chicken was a little funky, but everything else was good!!! read more

ive order delivery here a bunch of times and it was great. the two most recent times ive ordered here ive spent about 100 dollars and the food came very fast. within 20 mins. it was very under cooked and bland. the person on the phone i talked to asked if i wanted spicy and i said yes. so where is the spice? not on the food. read more

Apparently Asia Cafe took over from Peking Palace and the change is horrible. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken and got chicken nuggets with some sauce- no pineapple, onion, or peppers. No fresh vegetables at all! The General Tso's chicken was rubbery. When I complained about the sweet and sour chicken they were very rude. I used to really like Peking Palace because they used fresh ingredients. Will never go to Asia Cafe again- poor ingredients, short cuts on ingredients, and very rude management. I have been live Germantown and I can honestly say this is the best chinese food take out spot in area. I have moved to Gaithersburg for a while and ordered from Hunan something and it was good but not as good as Asia Cafe. I moved to back to Germantown and I'm so happy again my friday nights are looking good again lol. I totally recommend Asia Cae the food is soooooo good. read more
