The flower show at the galleria was a beautiful welcome to spring!! I think last year they had more flowers throughout the hallways too but even without the extra flowers the creativity of the artists really came thru. I loved they had a variety of artists from different backgrounds like the Lao Thai Lao inspired display and the Vietnamese display. Also the nod to Mary Tyler Moore was fun complete with a Nicollet Ave sign!! Also I loved the gold touch of Urban Blooms. Next time it'd be great if they added more ballot boxes. Beautiful mall - boutique stores galore and very clean! Giving it a 4 solely because I can't afford anything in there but a girl can dream! We went here for the flower and fashion event and I will make sure to tell all my flower lovers about it. The scent of flowers carried through the whole mall and it's such a nice way to welcome spring! read more

Stopped by earlier this year to check out the Floral Experience by Bachman's. It was such a cool display! Fresh (well I went towards the end, still looked pretty good). flowers + art is a win win. Galleria has always been a ritzy mall, for sure way above my pay grade. A lot of the stores have since moved across the street to Southdale Center. Curious to see what this space is going to be used for. I do like the barnes and noble here! They have a few food options as well. Generally a nice smaller mall. read more

This mall is a good place to go to for a nice walk in the winter time. The mall has plenty of restaurants and seems to have a higher number of high end shops. I think the high end shops makes this mall a little quieter than most malls. Walking into the stores the customer service does seem to be laid back. Overall a nice place to visit. read more

The Galleria in Edina is where I go to feel like I might be rich someday. I probably don't make enough money to actually shop in half these stores, but you know what? I walk around like I belong, head held high, pretending I have a black card in my wallet - or recently won the Powerball. Manifesting, right? The real star here is the annual flower show. It's completely free, absolutely stunning, and feels more like walking through an art installation than a mall. It's like Mother Nature and a luxury interior designer teamed up and said, "Let's give the public a gift." And by "public," I mean people like me who come to admire beautiful things and then buy a $7 coffee because that's the most budget-friendly option. Top-tier vibes, gorgeous atmosphere, clean, calm, and just the right amount of fancy. Five stars for making me feel classy on a Walmart budget. read more

When I lived in Rochester, I'd often drive an hour up to the Twin Cities. I liked hanging out in Bloomington, where Mall of American is. I also liked visiting Edina. Galleria is a mall in Edina. It's on the posh side of things. I think its best equivalent is Bayview Village in Toronto. Both have high-end stores, but there are also a few stores in which I can afford to buy merchandise. I recently visited Barnes & Noble. It's a wonderful, large bookstore. It's now one of my favourite ones to visit. The cafe is also massive and I look forward to parking myself in there next time. In the past, I have dined at Big Bowl. It offers Asian and Thai offerings. I dined here as a Minnesotan. I have also returned for good eats. The braised short rib potstickers are amazing. This place has sweetgreen, which had healthy protein plates, bowls, salads, and more. It's like Freshii, but better in quality ingredients and variety. I will need to visit this location when I'm back in town. This mall also has L'Occitane. I like the hand creams. I don't buy items from this store often, but it's nice that this store exists. I'm happy that this mall still exists. I'll be back, as it has a terrific Barnes & Noble, and I want to drop by sweetgreen. (10) read more

The manager at the hotel recommended me to come here to get food and I wondered and it's nice classy mall someone from the East Coast coming here I'd like the selection of stores that speaks to femininity and home life. There is all these stores with very beautiful feminine clothes and home decor and furniture stores. I wish they had a little grocery store here just like Chelsea Peirce has in the meat packing district in New York but otherwise it's a good place around here. I was definitely expecting a nicer bathroom. It has ceramic tile walls in the main part of the bathroom and the privacy walls in each stall are Formica walls. I was expecting more than what's here for a luxury shopping center. Looks like it may have been an office building complex that was converted into a small mall. There's about as many stores as one of the 3 floors on the north or south side of the Somerset Collection back at home. Nothing here was worth even walking into at all for a closer look read more

I like this place. It is a very nice, upscale mall. I have bought things at several of the stores, too. It is clean, not too crowded, all is good. It is a great place to go on a cold weekend day and walk around. It is a mixture of upscale clothing and an oddly high concentration of furniture and houseware stores. If you are looking to re-furnish your home, this place is the spot for you. The clothing selection is good, too, but it is mostly skewed toward a more conservative demographic. The one thing this shopping center lacks is food options. There are a couple of restaurants, but mostly higher-priced sit-down restaurants, like Pittsburgh Blue - not a place to go for a quick bite with the family on a Saturday. read more

They have arranged a floral experience in the name of world of wonder... went in to have a look at it and it was amazing arrangement! Each wing has different arrangement... it's a nice show to go around.. there were different kinds of beautiful flowers and the entire mall smelled magnificent! I am very disappointed in the 2023 Galleria Christmas decorations. In years past I've always looked forward to shopping at the Galleria during the holidays because they've always done an excellent job with color, excitement and visual themes. I went to the Galleria today for lunch and shopping and was tremendously disappointed. There were few decorations, and what's required to pull off a white and gold contrast was really lacking. Interesting Shopping Center...a little too haute for my taste, but worth a visit to see the Bachman Floral Experience of Galleria. This is gratis, enjoyable and a bright spot in our long winter-spring is coming season. I did enjoy the ease of parking and the good lunch at one of the restaurants there. "I come here regularly for the essential things in life", said no one ever. A decidedly upscale boutique mall that I personally come to when I feel the need to decompress my wallet or when I want to pretend I am haughty and successful and wish to rub elbows with suburban Ken's and Barbie's. I do like that you can walk around indoors and window shop mostly for things that are unaffordable or impractical (who needs a $700 door knocker or single sourced Ethiopian coffee that has passed through the digestive tract of a monkey prior to roasting?!) and it is fun to spend time walking around people watching. But it is really not a practical place to shop unless you are really looking for a unique and expensive item. While The Galleria assaults many a Minnesotan's sense of practicality, it is nice to know that we do have our own version of Rodeo Drive-esque stores that you can always take your out of state visitors to if you need to impress and the indoor aspect of it ensures a good time regardless of the tornado or blizzard awaiting outside. Now if I only had more money than I knew what to do with, this place would be 5 stars all the way. read more

A High-End Shopping center right next to a more affordable Southdale Mall. I didn't buy anything here because everything was out of my budget. I just came here and window shopped. They have many brands I never heard of...Only store I recognized was The North Face, which I didn't buy anything cause it's at MSRP. Pretty much nothing was on sale. I shop a lot, but I always ensure I'm getting the best deal before purchasing! I'd rather buy stuff at the outlet or online. Oh yea, I also recognized Barnes & Nobles. There was a bunch of stores like Allen Edmonds, Hammer Made, Pendleton, and Melly that I've never heard of. Looked too expensive to enter anyways for me. Overall nice place, very clean. Nice restrooms. Nice place to wander if you don't plan on shopping. Not a great option if you don't have too much money and want to shop. read more

This is the best place to shop, has the aesthetics and feel of the European streets and doesn't have the typical mall set up. Stores here carry the top notch quality material items and at reasonable price considering the brand and quality. I either shop here or Nordstrom for my shoes whether I'm looking for winter boots or summer sandals. You'll get the best design here. Hard to find in other stores kind of items like well made pure leather boots with not too high heels.. You can only find it here unless you want to buy jimmy choos at Nordstrom. read more

As others have mentioned it is a more upscale experience than MOA. There's free underground parking and right across from the Southdale mall in case you really don't find what you're looking for or you don't want to break the bank as much. Initially we were looking for sheets at Crate & Barrel but they were only 300 thread count and at least over $100 so we decided to go to Restoration Hardware. Before we got there though we stopped at a smaller specialty store called Scandia and scored a pretty sweet deal. Instead of the standard Hallmark sometimes I like buying cards from Papyrus. The Louis Vuitton store always has pretty displays to look at. read more

I worked in the Galleria for a couple of years and, I have to say, it's pretty awesome. If you have a ton of money then you're going to be doing a ton of shopping. If you have no money (like me) then you can make fun of people because some of the customers are just utter d-bags. If I were still working there I'd probably be telling you how awful it feels to be treated like an asshole BY assholes (with the caps lock on) but now that I don't have to go there 5 days a week, yeah, me likey. Trust me when I tell you that the majority of the people who frequent this mall may be a bunch of buttheads, but the people working in the mall are super nice and are very good at brushing the bullshit off. So don't equate the high end level of stores with the attitudes of the people who work there. I'm just sayin'. Oh, and the security guys rule because they're always up for a beat down. If you plan on stealing from a store in the Galleria PLEASE PROMISE YOU WILL CALL ME BEFORE YOU GO. I totally want to see that foolishness (aka you) go down. read more

Love, love, LOVE this place. I'm stuck living in Fargo, ND with my job and it's mostly nice enough but still suffers from being a small town. Frugality is the lifestyle of choice here and there's nothing wrong with that, but I prefer to buy something nice once than buy something cheap three times. Galleria has the kind of higher end quality stores that I miss, and is one of the guaranteed stops my wife and I will make when we visit "the cities" in search of something more metropolitan. From Crate & Barrel and Restoration Hardware for home furnishings to Williams-Sonoma for some kitchen treats and one of the better Barnes & Nobles I've ever been in. The only thing missing here is an Apple store (which is in a dingy and gross mall nearby). It's pricey, but not ULTRA high end. You're not going to buy a Panerai or Rolex here. Just a nice place to grab a Starbucks and enjoy a quiet and comfortable few hours. read more

I would probably give this place 4-5 stars if I drove a BMW. The only reason why I usually end up here is because it is attached to Barnes and Nobles and I need to walk off my caffeine buzz. On a busy Friday afternoon, parking space is scarce. I drove around for 15 minutes, waiting for a Beemer , Benz or Porche Cayenne to leave their parking spot. It is full of specialized boutiques and high end shops: Williams-Sonoma, Coach, Tiffany's, Cole Haan, etc. So it's a great place for the discerning shopper and those in the top 1% of tax bracket. Hipsters and those who joined the "occupy" movement don't fit here. I think once I cash in my future winning lottery ticket, I'll spend some of my winnings in the Galleria. Until then, I'll stick to MOA or Southdale. read more

For me, the Galleria meant a good meal following an hour or two of boring shopping with my mom or dad. They definitely have some cool stores there, but what I liked about it personally was the restaurants therein, and the Barnes and Noble. The bookstore is enormous, two stories, and has a love of comfortable seating in it. The restaurants will be reviewed seperately, but the fact that a mall had food that wasn't food court style or Friday's/Tuesdays-esque chains really spoke volumes about the clientele they are targeting. Be warned, the prices at the majority of the stores are a little outrageous, but the quality is there, and the style is very west coast. **Not a big enough mall for the mall walkers =P read more

There's a good amount of restaurants that are mixed in as well. I do find this place to have more home good stores, and designer labels. This is a great, small, upsacale shopping center. There are pricey boutiques, Tumi, Tiffany, Crate & Barrel, chocolatier, etc here, great for window shopping or if you're looking for that perfect gift for a special occasion. If you're looking for your typical Macys and mall stores, take a drive next door to Southdale Mall. Otherwise, come by Galleria for a stroll! It'll be worth your time :) read more
