I used to go here more often when l lived in Kentwood. I still don't live too far away and it is worth making the trip. My nail tech was Lena and she did a fantastic job doing my mani pedi. I tried the new "dip" instead of the shellac as my nails are weak. Really liked the process, seemed to go faster than the shellac. Very large, clean and comfortable salon. Worst experience anywhere. I have been coming here for years and over the last 6 months this place has gotten worst every time I have been in there. My daughter and I had scheduled appointments for pedicures we were so rushed thru the appointment. I paid for a deluxe pedicure and should have only paid for a Polish change. I did not receive a foot or leg massage, no lotion was rubbed in just a few drops of oil. And left with a smudged big toe. My daughter already has Polish completely off some of her toes one day after the pedicure. I also had my eye brows waxed (don't ask me why) but I left with blisters on my eyelids. I definitely agree (just like any nail shop to be honest) you could end up with someone who doesn't want to be there that day or someone who has poor communication and doesn't seem to listen to what you want, but I've never experienced that. I like that Asia nails is so big and they always have a lot of people working so as long as you come on a weekday you'll usually have little to no wait..usually. This nail shop is popular! This was my first time and was recommended by a friend who said her nail lady was good. I recently had my nails off but have a regular who I see at a different salon. And I wasn't able to get into her and had a event that evening. My nail service was very rushed and could tell by my nails. So I didn't want to say something as I barely got a chance to look them over. I get home and my nails bubbling on several different nails. So I call and they say to come in on that following Monday. They were just as busy but she gets me in and I tell her my nails are really thick uneven with a wavy pattern. She does about a min of drilling under and tell me they are better and aren't thick. So I'm clearly wrong and she's right! Lol So I just leave I don't feel like arguing about this. I went today to regular despite being told to just take them off because they look like thick putty. On February 26, 2022 I went with a friend to Asia Nails. We had an appt at 3pm. We had to wait about 15 minutes before they called my friend back. I waited another 15 minutes and finally was seated at a station where the lady came up to me and asked what I wanted. I showed her a picture and she went to get the color. She came back and asked if I could wait a couple of more minutes. I said yes, then she proceeded to take a woman back for a pedicure. I figured she was just getting her set up to soak her feet. But no she proceed to give this woman a whole pedicure before she started my nails. My friend came over when she was done and asked if I was done already. I stood up and said no I havent even started. It was already after 4pm so I waited for over an hour. When I stood up and said I was leaving, the lady that did my friend nails said she could do my nails. I told them no that I was leaving because I had other plans. I was so angry how I was treated. Another woman there also complained that she had been waiting along time. I will never give them my business. and if I was you I would think twice about going there. I was very happy with Asia Nails and the service that I received. I got a full set by the owners wife her name Vy. She did a wonderful job on my hands and made sure my nails were just how I liked them. She asked me questions throughout my set about my nails to make sure she was doing them right and to my liking. They gave out refreshments for customers and made them feel welcome when they arrived at the nails salon I was greeted upon arrival which I liked because the place was packed. One thing I will say though is that I wish they would have be a little bit better at keeping the time of my appointment. I had a appointment at 6:30 and didn't see Vy until 7:15. But by the time I was done with my nails it didn't matter because I was so impressed with the work that was done I really didn't care about the time. The nails I came on with I got done at the Lansing mall. I asked for square and I left looking like I had colored pistachios on my nails.. I hated them but $50 later I had to deal with them. Fast forward to Friday. I asked a girl at one of my tables where she got her nails done and she recommended Asia nails! I came in today not knowing exactly what I needed. I thought I would have to take the nails off that I came in with and get a whole new set. Ly was able to salvage my original acrylic set and filed them into the shape I wanted! She was wonderful!! Went Saturday morning to get my nails done (dip) and choose a nice lilac color. The women doing my nails was nice and I was happy with how my nails turned out. But come Sunday evening I noticed my nails turning a blue color underneath the top coat. (I'm not from the area I was just visiting family as I live in the east side of the state I was leaving town at 6am Monday morning) so when I found my nails changing color around 5:45 (nail salon closing at 6) I got there right before they closed they weren't willing to fix my nails and wanted me to come back Monday. The owner was so incredibly rude would not have anyone fix my nails because it was "too late" and would not give me a refund or at least give me a credit to come back next time I was in town! read more

Our girl made us feel like we were in positioning her to paint my little granddaughter's fingernails! We asked for flowers on her finger nails and you thought the world had come to an end! My granddaughter wanted to try a new place, we did we will never go back!! I told the girl at the counter of my experience and that the girl never once talked to us, her statement to me was that she didn't speak clear English! I loved my nail tech and I went there for five years. She was on maternity leave and gave all her clients to Kelly until she returned. Kelly charged me $93 on my tab and when I asked her to break it down for me and explain it like my original nail tech always does, she took no accountability. She blamed the owner for his policies, she blamed her coworker Kayla, who took maternity leave and left her so overflowed with all of her clientele, because she was so overworked, and she blamed the receptionist boy for not booking enough time or something. I had questions about what I had done but instead she asked me to take off my shoe? She wanted to see if there was shellac on my toes? I've been getting my nails done for literally 50 years I think I know if I've ever had shellac on my toes before which I didn't. Funny how she took a picture of my nails, though when they were finished and I was immediately Instagram worthy and we were following each other. I got a shellac on Tuesday that is supposed to last 2 weeks, by Thursday 1 nail had peeled off, by the following Tuesday 7 days later ALL my nails peeled off, not chipped, peeled. I went back to have them re-done free of charge and they would not even think about it. I asked them to call the owner and I waited 10 minutes and nothing. Asia nails used to be my favorite place to go but lately I am more upset every time I leave there. Today may have been the final straw. I got a pedicure and was in the chair for a total of 35 minutes. How do you give a great pedicure in 35 minutes? No massage. No scrub. Just a quick file and slap on some color. Then I paid and was walking out the door when the girl at the counter yelled for me to come back. She charged me wrong because the guy that did it didn't write it down and I owed her an extra $15 I paid almost $50 for the worst pedicure I've ever had. To top it off, they no longer accept tips on a credit or debit card. Cash only. Which we all know means they don't claim their tips. No thank you. I pay my taxes. You should too. I refuse to tip anyone if they will only accept cash tips. I don't ever have cash on me and I will not make a stop at the bank just to tip someone for a bad pedicure.
