    Singapore Fried Rice

Good prices, good portion and drink sizes, good reliable food. We had fast service and it was quiet when we went on a Sunday afternoon. I enjoyed the Singapore fried rice and everyone else liked their food. The lychee martini was solid too! I need to go back for happy hour.

Went to Asian Nine recent and loved it. The curry puff was on point. I did not realize how big the venue is. Service was good. This is typically my spot before going to the movies down the round. Look forward to coming back.

The restaurant is large and is nicely decorated. The servers were all very friendly and the food was fresh and yummy. I enjoyed my meal here while sightseeing in DC.

Stopped in to order takeout and decided to grab a small bite at the bar while waiting. Ordered the fried wings appetizer, which were bland. Only one bartender was working and due to a large group that came in I never got the drink I ordered. The orange chicken I ordered to go was horrible. I will not return.

This place was a Surprise. Me and my fiancé wanted to get some Asian food while on our little trip to DC from PA. First, the place was Cherry Blossom themed which we thought was nice touch. Second, the servers were all very friendly. Lastly, we ordered our food and it came out within 5 minutes even with it being as busy as it was. We also thought it was a nice touch how dim and welcoming the lighting was in the place at night.

I had a great dinner here a few weeks ago. Beautiful mom and pop restaurant. Very authentic flavors. Customer service was so friendly. I can't wait to come back! Parking is available on the street, the meter isn't too expensive. The cocktails were made really good, I'd definitely recommend the lychee martini.

I think a gem in Penn Quarter! I used to order lunch to work from Asia Ninety and decided to check them Out for dinner with a coworker! Well I was very happy with everything we tasted. We tried as appetizers the chicken satay, chive dumplings, shrimp poppers. My favorite was the shrimp poppers with like a bang bang sauce, so crispy and fresh. I would skip the chive dumplings though next time. For our mains, we ordered the drunken noodles with beef, which was perfectly spicy and balanced . The panang curry with shrimp and also Thai BBQ chicken Which is a Thai-style chicken marinated with herbs and spices and grilled Served with Papaya Salad, Sticky Rice, and Sweet Chili Sauce! Everything was so flavorful. We ended the dinner with mango sticky rice, which was very sweet but light. I usually am not a big fan of sticky rice but this one was such a great ending to our meal. There are good happy hour deals too we tried some cocktails like one night in Bangkok, Japanese meal, and hibiscus Mojito. They were not alcohol forward so if you like more sweet drinks, I think these are for you. Overall, it was a great experience. Our server was very nice. I will continue ordering from and supporting this Penn Quarter business.

This place should be busier than it is, because the food is tasty! I did not partake in the bar, but it seemed to be a notable place, with several locals having drinks when I visited. Service is excellent, as the server made sure that our drinks stayed topped off and checked on us periodically. Ambiance-wise, it's nothing special--kind of a cross between above midscale/dovey/trendy. I had the takoyaki and agedashi tofu appetizers, which were authentic and as tasty as anything in Hawaii and the West Coast (the benchmarks for Asian food outside of Asia, in my opinion). I had the Japanese chicken as my entree, which would have been called a chicken katsu donburi in Hawaii or the West Coast. The katsu was crispy and the batter was ideally light. The rice was extremely flavorful with broth and some onions. I don't get to DC often, but I hope this place is still here the next time I come back.

The food here is so good! They have great lunch specials and the price for the amount of food they give you is great. The only down side is, if you want to substitute the white rice for brown rice, it's an extra $5 which doesn't seem reasonable. There are a variety of options on the menu, but everything I've ordered has been delicious. The service is super fast. The waiters are so friendly and very attentive. The ambiance is quiet, spacious, and comfortable.

Great happy hour deals! Our server even came over at 6:58 for a last call for happy hour, which is rare, but appreciated ! I got the hibiscus margarita which was yummy, but very sweet! My only complaint is that they list gluten free on their menu, but I was disappointed when I tried to confirm that something was gluten free the server did not know. If you're gluten free stick to the drinks, or be prepared to ask questions! Will come back to visit for drink deals.

A small joint that sells all kinds of Asian food and drinks. We recently visited here and it was a pretty good experience overall. The atmosphere resembles a small restraint that has a bar along with cute decorations, giving life to the space. The staff were overall friendly but not very attentive. They were slow to refill drinks and not good at checking in on the tables after food was served. Definitely the place for improvement is here. The food is what carried the overall rating. I had the drunken noodles and they were amazing! Perfectly chewy noodles with a spicy sauce that was put together very well. Overall, still a positive experience. A 5 would've been received if the staff were just a little better.

Great happy hour in penn quarter/Chinatown area. Service- bartenders were kinda busy during happy hour but helpful once you get their attention. Table service seemed slower so maybe sit there if needy. Food- good portion sizes and flavorful. Vibe- good space for groups, couples, after work happy hour, pre/post theatre meal, etc.

$28.05 (food: thai khao soi. drink: lychee coconut cooler.) Asia Nine Bar & Lounge monologue: This restaurant was spacious. It was clean. It was not busy, at all, at the time that I went, so it was easy to pick exactly where I wanted to sit. I looked over the menu and chose the items listed above. I was so excited to see and eat what I just ordered. I really had no idea what I was going to receive. Check out the pics. I had to share this with you all. So cool, right!? It tasted as good as it looked, the food and the drink. I took my time and enjoyed every slurp, every bite and said a few mmm's. I do recommend this restaurant for some tasty Asian food for lunch or dinner. P.s. - The staff cleared my table as necessary and with a smile. They were a friendly crew.

We arrived around 2:45 p.m., so it was nice and quiet with plenty of seating. By the time we left around 4:45, the crowd had definitely started rolling in, so if you're looking for a more relaxed vibe, earlier is the move. Since we'd just eaten, we kept it simple with a few rounds of cocktails and an order of chips and guacamole. The guac was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. It tasted like it had just been made, and the chips were the perfect vehicle for it. Now let's talk about these drinks! First, I ordered an espresso martini, and shout out to Lucha Rosa for already making it with tequila because that's exactly how I like mine. No special requests needed! I also tried the Lucha Rosa Margarita, and whew...it was SO bomb. It was as pretty as it was delicious, which is always a win. The service was great from start to finish. There wasn't a hostess at the stand when we walked in, so we grabbed seats at the bar. She greeted us shortly after, and our bartender was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer our questions about the cocktail menu. His recommendations did not disappoint. Pricing felt comparable to other rooftop bars in the area, maybe just a touch higher, but nothing unexpected for the location and atmosphere. Speaking of atmosphere...the rooftop is gorgeous. The indoor and outdoor spaces are both beautifully designed. It was blazing hot and sunny during our visit, so we happily stayed inside enjoying the air conditioning, but I'd love to come back on a cooler evening to enjoy the outdoor space. Lucha Rosa is definitely worth adding to your happy hour or rooftop rotation. Great cocktails, fresh guac, friendly service, and a beautiful space? That's a solid combo.

I got the Lucha Rosa signature drink and then a Paloma. Both were great, they were strong but the taste of alcohol wasn't unbearable at all. That's the mix I like. The service is good too with the bartenders attending to you pretty regularly. Their food isn't impressive at all though so I'd recommend eating elsewhere after ge a drink in the sun here. We got beef and chicken tacos which weren't great but filled us up since we were starving.

I ordered the SW Salad ($16.50) with a steak add on ($9.00) at medium temp. I also ordered a cup of Clam Chowder ($5.95) as an appetizer. Chowder came out pretty much right on top of my salad, but no big deal. Chowder was decent taste, but only found one clam. Ok whatever. Salad came out looking like a side salad on a large plate with five slices of rare, tough steak. It was so rare, that it was extremely hard to cut through, but again, who was I going to talk to about it. No wait staff would even look my way. I couldn't even get a refill on my water and there is no place in the app to order a glass of water...so that's that. Unfortunately it was just an extremely bad experience for $40. I'll be looking for dinner somewhere else tomorrow night.

The RPG was a bit heavy on the mayo, next time would ask for less mayo but it was still delicious as a char su pork fan. This hit the mark.
