This place is huge and has around 10 restaurants, including Chinese noodles, Korean ramen, Korean cuisine, Korean fried chicken, Korean BBQ & hot pot, Vietnamese food, a boba shop, and a bakery. Everything is self-service. After placing your order, you'll pick up your own food and return your tray to the designated return area when you're finished. The central dining area is spacious, making it a great place for groups since everyone can order from different restaurants and still eat together. It feels very much like an Asian food hall, offering plenty of variety and flexibility. My family loved both the food and the pastries there. They also have a decent-sized indoor play area for kids upstairs, along with a beauty supply store. It also looks like an arcade is coming soon. Mall overall is pretty clean and it brought some life back to Northtown mall that let's be honest was kind of dying slowly. It definitely reminds me of similar places I've been to in Texas where thankfully I'm moving to in less than a year. Woot The beauty store is nice and my wife loves it and says they have better prices vs the other store she frequented and the staff is lovely and helpful had a lovely conversation with the girl at the counter. The grocery store was ok it's no Dragon star and prices are a bit high. It's alright though The food court I'll separate from the hot pot which is awesome. The Korean fried chicken: 1 star it was nasty like I would rather have chicken nuggets from McDonalds. The ramen spot: was ok lacking meat but was pretty solid im yet to try the pick your own packet place yet but overall food court food is a 2 to 3. 85 degrees bakery: solid and cheaper than other places I've been, selection a bit redundant but with the cost saving it's good. 4stars. Hot pot upstairs: amazing from the server who knew an Eau Claire hot pot spot I love to the food. We made a trip to Asia Village in Blaine, but it didn't quite live up to the hype for us. The mall itself is spacious, but there are still quite a few empty vendor spaces upstairs. The grocery store has a good selection of Asian snacks and specialty items, but we were most excited to check out the food court. We ordered the Shoyu Ramen from Hokkaido Ramen House, but it was pretty basic and lacked the depth of flavor we were hoping for. It reminded us more of an upgraded instant ramen than an authentic bowl of ramen. We also tried the Karaage from Chingu Korean Fried Chicken, which unfortunately was super dry and under seasoned. Our favorite stop was 85°C Bakery Cafe. The pastries were fresh and affordable. We will definitely come back for the bakery and would also like to give Pho Mai Express a try on a future visit. Overall, we left feeling a bit underwhelmed and personally there are better options for Asian cuisine elsewhere. read more

This place is great. I like it better than the Asia mall in Eden Prairie. Better parking, more food options and the grocery store has harder to find products. There is a kids area and an arcade coming that will draw more families and young adults. All the food options looked and smelled great. Can't wait to go back and review them all. We did get a few items from 85 degrees that were all delicious but the real surprise was the onezo boba place. Watch them make the boba fresh. You can really taste the difference. Asia Village was such a fun place to explore on a random Saturday! The food and drink options were so cool. We loved the peach boba at OneZo and were completely obsessed with the Vietnamese coffee at 85°C Bakery Cafe. Plus the mochi donuts were delicious! Came here after work on a weekday, after the soft opening. Parking lot looked busy (haven't seen so many cars here even when it was a store) but didn't feel super packed inside. I came here for the 85 Celsius bakery. They were pretty picked over by 3pm, but I was still able to find some things to buy. Many places open for businesses with food that looks amazing. Will have to come back to try then all. So excited for this place to succeed. It looks clean and modern. I hope it stays that way and draws more businesses to revitalize the area. read more

Asia Village in Blaine has finally opened for business! This place is connected to the Northtown Mall and features a large Asian grocery and an assortment of Asian shops and restaurants. The main area is laid out similar to a mall food court, but you won't find generic chain food here (there's no Panda Express). It's more like a food hall featuring spots such as ramen, pho, an Asian cafe/bakery, and a lot more. It has the first OneZo boba in Minnesota, a Taiwanese company that's known for making all their boba from scratch every day. I had their Taro Coconut milk tea with Ube boba and it was one of the best bubble tea's I've ever had. It also has an ODAY Creamery, a local company doing Asian-inspired ice cream. The other side of the building is a large supermarket of foods and sauces imported from Asia. The focus was definitely on items from Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, and Korea. I was able to pick up bags of Japanese kit kats and Chinese oreos along with items like authentic soy sauce that was made in Japan. This is a great addition to the area for anybody looking to pick up specialty ingredients. Overall it's pretty much everything I'd hoped it would be when I'd heard they were building it last year, and I'm sure I'll be back many times now that it's open for business. read more

We came during opening weekend, so it was pretty busy and had a great atmosphere! I am absolutely thrilled that this has opened up on this side of town. The Asia Mall in Eden Prairie is super far for us, so having this over in the Blaine neighborhood on the north side of the Twin Cities is amazing. We shopped around the market and everything is very reasonably priced, especially the fresh food. We also tried the bakery, got some bubble tea and just had a blast walking around :) The entire space is so bright, open, and beautiful! We can't wait to come back again soon! read more

So glad we were able to finally visit Asian Village in the Northtown Mall! This place was huge! Plenty of seating and multiple restaurants to choose from! All the restaurants on the bottom floor are fast casual, no need for wait staff. We went with ramen and rice bowls today. The ramen was super tasty, well done for sure. The pork belly rice bowl was good, but could have used more flavor and heat. The cake roll and coffee from 85°C was the best thing we had today, super delicious! There's also a huge Asian grocery store in the mall, with an abundance of unique Asian foods and desserts. We will definitely be going back here to try one of the many places to eat! read more

I was thrilled when Northtown mall announced Asia Village will be occupying the old Herberger building. We chose to go during the weekdays, to avoid the large crowd. When you walk in, you'll see the grocery store on the left, escalator ahead to go upstairs, and food court on the right. So many restaurants to choose from. Vietnamese, Korean, ramen, fried chicken, and a bakery. I see more restaurants coming soon as well. We checked out the upstairs and saw the hot pot/kbbq restaurant, beauty lab, and kids zone. Very family friendly space. I can vision more businesses opening kiosk upstairs. Down the hallway on the first floor is the entrance to the mall. We purchased some food to eat and walked around the grocery store. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. read more

Parking is plentiful and easy and it is so awesome to have this for the northern suburbs. I am excited to come back when there are more robust options. It is something new to revive Northtown Mall. BUT, it lacks a lot. First floor is a food hall and small grocery store with poor signage. It was VERY BUSY at 3pm on a weekend. Upstairs is an area to pay for kids to play and a tiny beauty shop. An arcade will come to the second level. THE BAD: as a non Asian family of color we were followed through each store as if we were going to steal something. I also noticed a Somali woman being treated poorly in the beauty store. read more

Spice and Smoke is an all you can eat hotpot spot with reasonable prices! $5 extra for both hotpot and KBBQ. Canned drinks are included and staff was overall so kind. I'm so happy that there's finally a larger Asian grocery store in Blaine! We've been here twice since they've open and I love their food court options. We dabble at a few restaurants and our favorite has to be the Smoke and Spice hot pot upstairs. Came here to celebrate my birthday with my husband and now he wants to come back for his birthday next month. We took our three nephews to the play area upstairs and it was $10 per child and they didn't have a time limit and can come back anytime during that day. Maybe things might change in the future but so far I like this play area better than kids castle in Northtown Mall where it's limited to $14 for one hour. The grocery store is still a little empty but they have the essentials. I also was hoping for more Asian inspired stores but so far there's only a beauty store. Regardless, I look forward to coming back and seeing how this place develops. read more

I would rate a "0" star if I could. Stopped by Customer Service counter in the market as they posted that they were hiring cashiers. Three men sitting at the counter - 2 on their cell phones and 1 on a computer completely ignored me while I waited for 3 - 5 minutes before I asked them for assistance. They obviously saw and knew I was standing infront of them but they continued to ignore me (and probably hoped I'd go away). I kindly asked if they were still hiring cashiers. One of them seemingly annoyed by my presence reluctantly responded and confirmed they were. I explained to him I was asking for my daughter. He asked for her age. I then asked if I could have a job application that I can have her complete and submit as she was here in the store with me. Daughter completed the application and returned to the men at the customer service desk. They nonchalantly looked at her and denied her any consideration nor did they provide any reasons for their instant rejection of her employment there. I honestly don't understand how these people are hired to work at a Customer Service desk - they have zero customer service skills nor simple common respect or sense. The prices are already ridiculous; at least have some common respect and courtesy. By the way, there are many more asian markets in the area. Don't bother coming here. Tried the Chi Maek chicken restaurant here and was so disappointed, overpriced frozen slop with barely any sauce on it. if this is any indication of the vetting process they did on their vendors it doesn't bode well for them. read more
