There is also a Mongolian grill for those folks who want to have the chefs prepare a dish with all the ingredients and sauces desired. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. Very new to Lincoln from Chicago and I was introduced to this place by a friend. We came together some time last week and they were very busy but overall a nice experience. We sat in the main dining area near the windows. Today, I went for lunch with my little ones at about 2p. The manager took our drink orders and sat us in a very small sections away from the main dining area. Questionable since it was extremely empty during the time of our arrival. We picked out our food choices and returned back to our table in which we were given the wrong drinks. I waited for about 20 mins for a waiter to come by but no one showed which was also very odd since the other two families sitting in that same area had been checked on more than once. I went to the front to ask the manager about the drinks and who our waiter was for the night. He pointed to the same young man who had checked on the other two tables in our area. He apologized and gave us the correct drinks. As we ate, he sat in a corner right across from us the entire time. At some point, he stood in the doorway right next to our table. I've never been inside of an establishment where we have been watched the entire time while we are trying to enjoy a meal. As more ppl started to show up I noticed that there seemed to be some racially divided seating between the two areas. Our waiter was very apologetic about the drink mix up and tended to our table well after. My littles enjoyed the food and are dying to go again however, I am not sure how I feel about the restaurant as a whole. We are usually big tippers and tipped our waiter $20 on a $52 tab however, the overall sitting choice and experience did not leave a great taste. read more

What really gets me, is how I'm seated in the same little area away from the dining room. Every time I visit my brother and his wife here in Nebraska this is the spot to go! All the buffet items are so good. My favorite item is the coconut shrimp! Many other items were great such as... baked clams, salt and pepper shrimp, Rangoon, Mongolian beef, and sushi bar was fresh. This is the best Asian smorgasbord in North America! The staff says there might be a better one in Las Vegas. But I doubt it! Asian Buffet has all-you-can-eat potstickers! That alone is worth the the price of admission! Do you know how much it would cost me to pay for all the potstickers I ate there if I ordered them from a regular Chinese restaurant??? It would cost a fortune. And I love potstickers! Who doesn't? I usually don't like Japanese food mixed in with Chinese food -- as if they are somehow the same thing. But the sushi at Asian Buffet is so good I have to make an exception: They have really good sushi. Not just the filler junk you usually see, but multiple kinds of crab, and all the other good stuff! Asian Buffet doesn't just have the bland Chinese food that other buffets usually fill-out their selection with. They have Crab and Shrimp and Singapore rice noodles (mǐfěn), and -- one of my favorites -- SESAME BALLS. They even have tapioca pudding and pizza for the kids! Asian Buffet has been open for 8 years, but the enthusiasm of the staff seems like they just opened yesterday, and are vying to provide you with today's exemplary culinary experience. And they do! They not only provide you with all you can eat of some of the best Chinese dishes ever made, but on top of that, they even provide bottomless Pepsi which -- to someone like me who is addicted to caffeine with bubbles -- is AMAZING! This is a tough one. I appreciate a good buffet like any glutton, but the food and service here at Asian Buffet could use a lot of work. Most buffets, especially Chinese ones are less likely to make either a priority, but typically the food quantity, group friendly atmosphere, and affordable prices tend trump all. That seems to be the case here at the literal-termed Asian Buffet. Sadly, a buffet is usually only as good as its food. I realize most buffets like this aren't gunning for high quality anything, but it was difficult to appreciate much of the hot food fare because so much of it was either too salty, too overcooked, or something was off. Much of this is standard Americanized Chinese fare, which works well I suppose for this neck of the woods, but would be subject to doomsday in any major Asian community. I would also venture for them to stop calling their noodle soup "pho" when it's clearly just a noodle soup with broth. The sushi was definitely the least appealing of the bunch. There were a number of rolls out there, not so much on the nigiri side or handroll action, but they were all strange in design and funky to the core. A lot of imitation crab and such, but this is nothing new for places like this. I think the only semi-saving grace on a food scale was the hibachi. Customize one's (semi-frozen) meats with noodles / rice, peppers, with a smattering of soy sauce. sesame oil, and veggies was surprisingly okay. Every table has sriracha bottles and the plastic cups are the oversized ones that hold a ton of liquid. I can appreciate their setup and layout, but I've seen better execution on the food front in other similarly themed places. Fingers crossed they bump it up a notch. read more

Gross. Hands down the single worst Chinese buffet We've ever experienced in our lives. Even the fried rice was bad. How can you make fried rice taste bad on such a large scale? It felt like they took regular brown rice and put vegetables and some MSG in and called it a day. Even staples like beef and broccoli were off. The steamed clams didn't taste bad, at least. It took us 10 minutes to cut our losses and peace out. I thought this place used to be at least decent. Either I have a bad memory or it's gone down the tubes in the last 2 years. If you're familiar with the Grand China Buffet in Omaha off of Dodge and 118th, then Asian Buffet will be no different for you. Same owners and host Simon, who has traveled to the new Lincoln store to help with the opening for a while. As you can see, I have frequented the Omaha location pretty frequently... I can recognize Simon! (The Asian parents love the all you can eat clams, crab, and crawfish...we end up here a lot) Since a lot of our family and friends from Lincoln would drive all the way to Omaha for the buffet, it's going to be very convenient for all the Asians in Lincoln to now get their seafood fix right in town. At $14/person for adults and $8 for kids, its a pretty good deal to eat all the mussels, crawfish, crab legs, and clams you want. It would cost more than that to buy it from the store and prepare it yourself. As for the other foods there, there is slightly less selection in comparison to the Omaha location, I think mainly due to space constraints. Most all of the American-Chinese favorites are still available. Quick service in clearing plates, having fresh food available at all times, and refilling the crab (most important ;) ). It's a huge step up from the previous asian buffet tenant. read more

Yummy authentic chinese buffet in Lincoln, NE. We really enjoyed the noodle soup option the restaurant offered (udon & pho)! The soup base was very good as well! Great buffet. Quality cooking for a buffet! You couldn't even tell it was mass produced. The green beans were nice and crunchy, hot & sour soup had the perfect amount of spice, & the spicy shrimp & zucchini was just as flavorful. The employees are always refilling the food and the selection is always steaming piping hot. Nothing seemed under or over cooked which is rarely found at a buffet place. This was Monday march 13th at 3:15-20 pm The service was terrible the lady upfront and the server were very rude and unprofessional . The food was dry and not tasty , I instantly got a stomach ache ,(later found out I had food poisoning) Then as I was drinking from my cup I noticed something inside to my surprise it was a piece of food stuck inside the cup which had mold on it I asked the waiter for a different cup he gave me another one and that one had residue ASWELL I almost threw up right there .the waiter brought the check and I went to the lady on the front desk , she was talking to someone in the phone the whole time it seemed like a casual conversation, I told her about it she went to look I explained that he already took the cup back she didn't do anything even tho I barely ate she charged me full price . We read some reviews upon coming and one said the sushi was better than they thought it would be and they were definitely correct. The sushi was FIRE. also there was a guy a behind the counter making it too so you know it was fresh. Everything on the buffet was great, lots is options. The crab ran-goons, the ABSOLUTE best. I just had a pretty sucky experience with this restaurant. I put my order in at 6:45, I waited a half hour and then the Door Dash contacts me. She says "The guy here was very rude. They said they don't take Door Dash and then walked away". I never got to try the food. Whether it saves them money or not, they should probably get their restaurant taken off Uber Eats and Door Dash. And next time, maybe be nicer to drivers. Been wanting a buffet with variety since the COVID shutdown. Didn't have any great expectations, but I'm impressed with the variety of dishes to choose from and how quickly we were able to go through the buffet with staff serving the food. I understand that during COVID things are new and different. Buffets are different things. Basically a cafeteria style now. I have always liked this place but today they pissed me off. It got busy at the food stations and I was standing and waited for about 7 minutes while they served people who had just walked up. I got fed up and went back to my table and tried again about 5 minutes later when no one was there. And they did it again!!!! I walked up to the counter because I was fed up. I asked for a discount and was refused. I got one plate of food , six sushi and a bowl of egg drop soup for $18! What a rip-off! read more

Will never go there again. Visiting family and we had a party of 9. The lady seating us would not allow us to push tables together. She said it would block people from getting in and out of the dining are. I basically called her out pointing out the fact that it was nowhere near blocking people. She said we would have to wait 20 minutes or sit at different tables. I basically told her we will got to a restaurant that respect it's patrons...and we would never come here again. And we won't.
